1. silly topic, so far. But the title got me, so here goes. The eskimo religion is just as valid as even those who profess hare krsna-ism. Both are suggested to give up all varieties of such religions and surrender to god. So we may even have one having a useless religion (hare krsna) who cannot give up religiosity even though his main shastra tells him to do so, and a blubber eating devotee eskimo who has given up his religion in favor of surrendering to the supreme lord. There is no limit to kali's influence on religion in this age. The gold standard is well described in the chapter where King Pariksit faces off with the personality of kali yuga. Religions are largely based on the gold standard, thus useless. My experiances with hare krsna directly was fully involved with gold, and we see how that pollution led to the other horrors that are associated with it, the drugs, the sexual deviancy, the dishonesty associated with gambling, and the eating of karma laced food (not whale blubber, which is eaten to sustain life, rather, the gobs of so-called prasadam which turned many a sanyassi into blobs of blubber themselves. Eating to live is basically karma free, because we are provided with what we need. If one lives on ice year around, why should I get on a fanatic binge and call him hell bound because he doesnt eat sweet rice and gulabjamins? But many a so-called devotee lives to eat, his whole life is based on how he satisfies the tongue, and no amount of criticizing others will remove the stain of hypocricy from his heart. Makes me think even more of how Lord jesus admonished his disciples' food fanaticism, saying "It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles the man, it is what comes out of the mouth." Srila Prabhupada required many things from his disciples, which also included avoiding certain types of food not fit for offering to Krsna. Goats, blubber, cows, bloodmeal, not good for his disciples, not because of karma associated with procuring such food, rather it does not meet the standard as to what is accepted by Krsna. Besides, freedom from karma is not what the movement is about anyway, because if one says the name of Krsna just once, without offense, all karma is gone anyway. Religion is for rascals, and hare krsna religionists are no different than Islamic jihadists, right wing anti-christians, chosen people zionists, and hindus who think the whole world is going to animal life because they refuse to follow them. Religion means a demand to follow human beings, thus God tells Arjuna to abandon such MANipulation and simply surrender to Him. Tell ya honestly, the highest devotees Ive met are abos (indigenous peoples from all cultures), and Im apalled at the slamming they take from so-called vaisnavas who have no mercy, no compassion, just exclusive religiosity. hare krsna, better to eat blubber than to become blubber. mahak
  2. Bhisma was not at all sad, because he, unlike everyone else, could choose the circumstance of his death. No one could ever kill bhisma, only Krsna could, and Bhisma was filled with transcendental bliss when krsna broke his vow not to fight, because no vow would prevent Krsna from SERVING his authority on loving Him, King Bhisma. King Yudhisthira is dharma personified, and no lie would ever affect him. However, he created untruth by not informing drona that his son, aswattama, was not dead, only aswattama the elephant was dead. Yudhisthira was quiet, and because of this, his feet touched the earth planet for the very first time. These supposed unrighteous behaviors are roles in the great play. Krsna did not break a vow, nor did yudhisthira lie to drona. Their roles in the great play (mahabharata) called for these actions, and they played their parts perfectly. Just as sure as drona was arjuna's enemy, arjuna shot his first arrow as a whisper of obiesance to his military guru, and his second arrow was a flower at his feet. Yudhisthira got off his chariot before the battle and approached his supposed enemy, Krpacarya, and asked permission to defeat him in this battle, and krpacarya granted him this request. One cannot judge the kuruksetra war with any mundane war we may see, with the bloodshed, misery and pain. At the end of each day of battle, opposing soldiers got together for drink and play, for they were involved with transcendental activity. Without understanding transcendence of krsna's pastimes, nothing can be learned or taught by using these literatures. This is why mundane commentators come up with nonsense such as krsna being a villian or, for that matter, duryodhana as a great demon. These were all gods, and there is no access by those who have no "god" consciousness. hare krsna, ys, mahaksadasa
  3. I like babhrus point about gandhari. It reminds me of my favorite "character" of ramayana, Srimati Manohari, the wife of Ravana and the daughter of Maya. There was no one more protective of Sita than Manohari. But if we get into Ramayana characters, I could go on and on, with Guhu, Jatayu, Puskara, so many beings of great import.
  4. Contrary to popular belief, I rather like duryodhana's role as the heavy. In any drama, the antagonist's role is most important, so we could actually say that the greatest yajna ever performed, the kuruksetra event, would have never come off without duryodhana. Yeah, he caused much trouble, in fact, it seems he is guilty of every one of the seven capital crimes, and he did face the ultimate capital punishment. But I ask the devotees this, is it possible for anyone other than a pure unalloyed devotee of the Lord to take part in the chivalrous pastime of the great kuruksetra conflaggeration? My view is that no demon at all had any role whatsoever. Some of my peers will cry foul, citing the cheating at dice, the bad treatment of the pandavas (and especially Queen Draupadi). Yeah, it was as bad as it gets, but the role of duryodhana is played by the dearmost friend of none other than Sri Balarama, who did not like Arjuna at all, favored both Karna and duryodhana, and took sanyassi rather that fight against krsna on the side of his friends. So, I always say nice things about duryodhana, and I even did this, explaining my position, to devotees much greater than I, and they never disagreed with my points. The war was a play, and everything that has happened in mahabharata is for our cultural upbringing, including how to die, how to reject bad gifts (one must remember how disappointed duryodhana was with aswattama when he heard of the atrocity of genocide against fellow kurus, the pandava heirs). So, I know there are karna fans out there, saying he was better than arjuna, but he wasnt, he was their guru, but his role was such that he kept silent about his elder brother and rightful heir status. Again, to ensure that the kuruksetra change of age yajna took place. The kurus died in the war, the pandavas gave up their throne to the only heir who died untimely, leaving the whole world to janamejaya, whose role was to turn it all into cavemen, after the yadus went to home and left this plante of death just as the great actors leave the auditorium cold and empty after the play is over. hare krsna, ys, mahaksadasa

    Ram Sethu

way cool. Ya see, when the battle for land of the waves was over, the raksasa friend and pure associate of Rama, brother of ravana, gave weight back to the floating rocks, because he inherited Sri Lanka after ravana was gone. So the bridge was thought to be fantasy, until cameras were invented to see under the waves. Its all true, folks, because Valmiki only wrote truth. Music and poetry was all true, because the inventors of music and poetry, Sri Kusa and Sri Lava (sons of Sri Sri Sita Rama) sang only the TRUE. So, science heads for truth, and presto, Rama is True, Ayodhya is true, and Hanumanji is here until we cannot see Sita Rama as TRUE. thanx, gHari. mahak

  9. a pile of ones one mile high is only 19 million bucks. This means if you lay the stack of ones on the side of the earth, at the equator, sideways. allowing only the thickness of the bills to take up the linear space, one trillion one dollar bills would go around the equator twice. Now thats bucks, folks.
  10. hey, sorry my photo of the graveyard didnt turn out. Oh well. Hey, wolfman, seen any waves? Big ones comin, hang on, thanks for your friendship, ys, mahak Waves "Singing sweet melodies", Anoina so pleased to sing to he beloved associate, "This is my message to you. Don't worry bout a thing." The onset of the monsoon season guaranteed their inseparable reunification. All the waves of changes past, the family from the refuge of Huelo Point, headed for the waves to come. The monsoon season was like a time out. As the skies and the sea became more agitated and turbulent, a glow of serenity blessed the lives of Martin, Anoina, and their growing gift from Jah, Kuhio. And the weeks during Fall and early Winter of 1977 saw the great swells of Hookipa Beach. International surfing champions filled the hotels of Kahului and the North Shore breaks. When the sun rose above the horizon, Gary and Martin would be at the outside break. They would be long gone by the time the pros arrived. Anoina, too, was becoming quite well-known as an eccentric, yet she rode the huge waves like she had at Anuhola. There was an absence of competitive feelings in the water at sunrise. Michael always kidded Gary Costello's style, wide survival stance with his back to the right-breaking point. He was no one to grace a surfing magazine, but no one pictured in a magazine would be on a larger wave or in a better position on the wave than Gary. Martin was the same way, only sneakier and faster, and more aerodynamic. Anoina, on the other hand, had to be seen to actually conceive of her way with the power of the ocean. With her small hand board, as big as a baseball glove, she would push her leading hand straight down as her powerful legs and Churchill fins propelled her into the waves. Once in the pocket, two feet below the smoking crest of the waves, she would drop twenty feet straight down the face, carving her own artistry with her handboard. On these waves, she had no interest to challenge the pipe, she would just get to the shoulder and pop out over the top. The pipe would be saved for her last ride of the day. Sometimes her and Martin would share a wave, sometimes all three would ride. Kewela would be sketching it all from the beach, playing with Koleka and Kuhio, Kaya, Wendy, Alana, and all who showed up. Kewela and Gary were inseparable and living in Makawao, and the mauka road between the Costello ranch and Huelo Point was well-traveled by both families. Sometimes, all six of them would just change houses, travelling the road together. It was a wonderful time of healing remedies and spiritual rebirth. The children slept as the huge raindrops slapped the metal roofs of Huelo Point refuge. The four friends, never fearing reprisal, envy, or anger from the confidences they heartily shared with one another, shared kaliherb and music on the lanai. Gary even started playing music, using a drum stick on a cow bell or clapping two blocks of koa wood. Martin spoke over the melodies of Kewela's flutes and Anoina's slack key Washburn:
Waves of planets rolling through space Explosions and fiyeh all ovah di place. Molten earth rising and breaking on the plain, Waves of creation cooled by the rain.

Waves carve the shoreline as they see fit Removing the mansions, but who will admit That the waves have the power, not the surfer who rides Creator of waves is He who decides

Which wave of fiyeh will consume the whole world It happens all di time, or haven't you heard All of us know that surely He'll save Us, but I'm sure He'll give us a wave

Waves in di air, waves in di sound Breaks in di waves and we just play around Breaks in di waves, ride in di trim Wave after wave, Oh Govinda, praise Him

Laughing and joking about the song, Martin told Anoina, Gary and Kewela, "and you were told you'd never hear sufr music again." They all had such a good time playing music like this, they decided to head for the highlands the next day, to the "for sale" ranch with electricity. David Kaaawa just lived a mile away near Richie, so, maybe a jam could be spontaniously generated. And generated it was. A new band, Martin's and David's rhythms, Kewela's mystical flute, Anoina's chanting, congas, slack key as she saw fit, and Gary's well-timed stark percussions. What the flute and percussions added far exceeded what was missed from Holy Smoke. The sweetness of the highlands and the rain forests was conveyed through the softer Gibson riffs and synthesized chorus from the keyboards. And every member of the group was compelled to compose lyrics soon. The anxiety of scheduling or working was not in evidence, but all of them knew that a positive future awaited their newly reformed band. As the new year wave formed on the horizon, a three acre parcel above the mud of Keanae Valley came to life. Eight miles East of Huelo Point, the drive took twenty minutes due to the hairpin curves of the Hana Highway. A load of wood in a closed container arrived at the iron gate. Gary, Kewela and Koleka became a family and their refuge was before them. His wealth was no longer a burden to him, as he divested much of it to set up a Michael Kaanakuhio Foundation to provide help to displaced indigenous peoples. He would never have to work to support his new family, however, he worked very hard always to show his love for Kewela and Koleka. After the lanai was roofed and screened, they all wanted to move in. Gary had already provided a generator powered heat, water, and electrical system, and bulldozed a good road encircling the three acres. He enjoyed his life by masterfully planning and building the beautiful Valley Lookout homestead. The only problem was the koa furinture at the Makawao ranch. Easily solved by a storage facility in Paia, Gary, Kewela, and Koleka moved from the highlands to the coastal valley rain forests of Haleakala's North Rift Zone.
  11. Beg forgiveness. Grant forgiveness. Accept and expect forgiveness. Okay, thats out of the way, now plan for the future, meaning try to forgive before they offend. Expect offense, prepare for it by getting forgiveness out of the way. Now, think of things in a different manner. All that truth they fed you is a lie. Its really good they did this because it makes the real truth (that we dont know a thing) easier to swallow, and this serves a dual purpose of having the gods take notice. If they take notice, you will follow along here. This site is for those who know nothing (and take it the way it is). It is a great benediction from the gods that one DEVOTE any aspect of ones life to the Supreme Lord. They notice the forgivers and the forgiven, all others are just mosquitoes in their ears. haribol, ys, mahaksadasa

I live in the mud, work in the graveyard. My bank account is at minus $500, but they like me at the food bank, my dead clients think Im Okay. I know the death camps are already built, and I know Obama has the mantle to invoke such nonsense after the exchange between the two brothers fighting for their Fathers realm "Esau and Ham", and I just may be defending my mud from the cannibals down the road. But he is not insane. I surely thought that the last guy was going to eat the lead from saddams gun by his own hand, or that laura would throw him out because he never stopped being a tweaker. Obamas big problem is going to be to resist the groupies hes bound to be sicced upon, like they did haridas when he became a political liability for the opposition. I dont hope he fails, for all our sake, I hope he has magic. May Kartikeya guide him. mahak
  13. Srila Prabhupada takes his commitment to me much more seriously than I do to him. He is not cheap, he accepts me, and he never lets go, even though I throw him away every chance I get. So, it comes down to that, I havent been anywhere near a temple in 20 years, but he never leaves me. He comes to take my mind and make intelligence choose to use the mind to dwell on Krsna, or something else. I do not consciously choose to dwell on Krsna, His Name, or any of that. I dont eat stool, gambling is only for folks with something to risk, my sensual prowess became not an issue when I went numb and lame due to getting long in the tooth (or toothlessness, as the case may be). Drunks make me puke, tweakers are demons, junkies are zombies, but I may be a bit partial to the indigenous ways of Lakota and Rasta, as a medicine, not intoxicant. But if I play a keyboard or guitar, the song is Jaya Jaya Rama Jaya Sita Rama. Now Prabhupada did not emphasize that mantra, but I just kept doing it anyway, and because he must think I have value, he allows the tears to flow. Hes never away, Im the one who is hiding. Before we all die, we only gotta do two things on this realms level, First, hit the deck and beg forgiveness, then forgive everyone else. Then, as Pete Townsend sings in the great classic, Ivan, the Engine Driver, "You're all forgiven." That takes care of this realm, this is Lord Jesus initiation, beg forgiveness from the Father to the extent we have forgiven others. Now, we have bathed, we enter the temple of the heart where Lord Nityananda Prabhu resides. We apologize for being such Jagai and Madais, and he arranges Srila Prabhupada to go retrieve me. I run away. He runs faster. What was the question? hare krsna, jaya jaya rama jaya sita rama, ys, mahaksadasa

  15. This is only half of a good idea. We need to have Israel spend $900,000,000,000 to rebuild Iraq. This way, we can go help Gaza without being shot because we ruined it in the first place, and Israel can rebuild Iraq without being blown up because they destroyed all their buildings, wives and children. Iran needs the money because no one is interested in oil anymore. This is a bribe to prevent them from making bombs and worse, developing delivery systems.

he hit the skids running, hes not a lazy idiot like his predecessor. Hes got the hardest job ever, and I wish him well. My only hope is that he prosecutes the previous administration for their teachery. Ive had enough of the "preserve the integrity of the position of the presidency" philosophy of gerald ford, because preservation sometimes means sandblasting, recladding, and complete overhaul when a system fails so miserably. Without prosecution of traitors to the US Constitution, no matter what position they held, nothing prevents repetition, as we learned from fords failure to hold nixon responsible for his treason. Nixon was so minor to the chaney-bush crimes. At least, get the bucks back, crush those contractors guilty of gross fraud at the expense of tens of thousands of lives of innocents, may of them our own (USA) citizens. mahak
  17. Plenty said about this, as gHari indicates. It may be surprising to know that one most criticized for editing, Sri Jayadwaita Swami, was deeply influenced by Srila Prabhupadas displeasure over the abridged edition of the Gita in the mid-70s. I, for one, have never been too critical of Sri Jayadwaita, because Srila Prabhupada spent much time with him, establishing him, by his own words, as his authorized editor. Ive seen a few changes that kind of irritate me. I personally think such editing takes away from Prabhupadas personality presented early on, say pre-1972. But I also think Sri Jayadwaita is an honorable man, true to Srila Prabhupada and acting on His order, and only wish my direct service was comparable. I agree with Kula, that the changes were minor. St John the divine, at the end of his Book of Prophecy (Revelations), curses anyone who changes "the meaning" of his words. IMHO, the meaning of Srila Prabhupadas words were not changed in a blatant way, unfortunately some stuff is too slanted to political stances and sectarianism. This is why, on the other thread, I stated that I dont bother with Srimad Bhagavatam after the third volume of tenth canto (Where Srila Prabhupada finished), not because of editing, but because I dont accept the authors of the end volumes in the same manner as I do Srila Prabhupada. Not to say they are not bonafide, but if ya gotta guru, why shop. mahaksadasa
  18. This is quite a fact. Srila Prabhupada, as he always used the word "we" instead of "I", was not only referring to his line of disciplic succession, but his disciples as well. Some of his most poignant lectures, the up close and personal ones (not that they ALL weren't, mind you), always gave tribute to those who were linked to him via the above mentioned mutual commitment between guru and disciple. His continual support of his disciples gave evidence to the fact that the intimate relationship between guru and disciple is the possession of God, not himself. Some may say or imply that this was a teaching tool, that he really knew he was special and guru yet acted in humility, but, no, this is his genuine feeling. This is why he is all attractive (another reason I consider Him God), and those who imitate are not. A guru may take a seat in the Vyasasana and accept guru puja from disciples, but this is not self-adulation or ego-mania. He sits on the Vyasasana as duty, as yajna, and this is what is not at all understood by those who assume "position" of guru by dint of their long years of service (as in promotion for job well done). Some of the dudes that sat on the chair in the eighties thought they deserved all that went with their illusory perception of what is meant by "guru". And they paid dearly for this grave misunderstanding of Lord Nityananda's position in Guru Tattwa. They all got hit with the kusa weapon, removed in sometimes greatly embarassing manners. Some died, some went to prison, some went to the hell of forgetfulness (a gift from Krsna for their long years of service, because better to forget than continue with such grave offense to Lord Nityananda). There is the well known story of what his early disciples felt when he told them that guru should be accepted as God. They had been taught the opposite, then, upon initiation, they were instructed in the yajna of guru-puja. This, however, is not contradictory, because Srila Prabhupada's trademark is "AS IT IS". Because this precept is given by Srila Rupa Goswami, Srila Prabhupada gives his disciples the exact, unchanged teaching. It is not that he wants their worship, nor does he ever accept it. If one were to worship him while neglecting worship of his guru, such worship is rejected. There is no Vyasapuja day celebration where Srila Prabhupada is worshipped independently. The guru puja and Vyasapuja is all about worshipping the Supreme Lord. One does not give tribute to Prabhupada without engaging in Harinama Samkirtana, the authoritive method of yoga in this age (yuga dharma). Some criticize his aggressive business practices, yet he always forbade and corrected his disciples as they lost the focus. Even his great and famous money-maker disciples were often severely chastized for losing focus of the real deal, the rounds, the mangal artik, the basic initial sadhana bhakti which is the basis of their reciprocal relationship. He often ordered them to retyurn the funds which were accrued by cheating the public, such as devotees posing as charity workers collecting for the starving masses in Biafra, forcing them to give the money collected to charity that they claimed to represent (such orders to correct their cheating tendencies were almost always disobeyed). Srila Prabhupada stands out, even thirty years after disappearing from this realm, as genuine in regards to actual humility. Just as Srila Bhaktivinode in his music, he claims to be the most fallen. The difference between Bhaktivinode and whoever, Srila Bhaktivinode actually felt that way, others just parroted the feelings expressed in his songs. As Srila Prabhupada joked when hearing excessive "I am the most fallen" claims of his disciples, he said "That is the problem with you westerners, you always take exalted positions. You are not the most anything, you are insignificant." All glories to the process of Guru Tattwa. Srila Prabhupada never deviates from Guru Tattwa, teaching us to say, "All glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga". Shared, never alone, the Lord always appears with Guru, SesaBalarama. Rama never is without Laksmana, Krsna-Balarama, Nitai Gauranga. Lord Narayana is always resting on Sesanaga. And the Harinama Samkirtana incarnation of Lord Krsna appears with Srila Prabhupada in the western countries in this particular time. Hare Krsna, ys, mahaksadasa
  19. my guru is Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami, and my yes answer indicates that he did not accept me as disciple frivolously, nor independently. According to his own teachings on the subject, most elaborately explained in second chapter of The Science of Self Realization, that the Guru is inspired to act as guru, empowered directly according to the dictates of Sri Chaitaguru, Lord Nityananda. He did not decide to be my guru, Lord Nityananda Prabhu, for no apparent reason that I can see, decided that I should come in contact and inquire from Srila Prabhupada. Never did he say that he was my guru, my acceptance of him as guru and his acceptance of me as disciple is an arrangement of Lord Nityananda Prabhu, not prabhupada or me. After initiation, a guru may indeed remind disciple that he is guru, but never does he force his will on another, violating the precepts agaibnst preaching to the faithless (or casting pearls before swine. All who think that guru is boss never had a genuine guru. What sets Prabhupada apart from other so-called gurus is that Prabhupada tells his disciple that he is disciple as well. SArila Prabhupada coined the phrase "disciplic succession", and this means that a genuine guru is first and foremost, disciple, never acting independently, never apart from the will of the Supreme Lord Guru, Lord Nityananda Prabhu, and this is why I say my guru is god, because Srila Prabhupad is acting as His representative, inspired directly by him. hare krsna, ys, mahaksadasa
  20. Not to sound wierd, bu I quit reading Srimad Bhagavatam after the third wolume of canto 10. But once, I heard Srila Prabhupada speak of the hunter who shot Krsna in the foot, heard of the curse by Gandhari, all these material concerns. Srila Prabhupada laughed at the controversy brought up by a Laguna beach hipster who knew the whole truth. He looked at the devotees, cited yogamaya, and said that the hunter shot the form witnessed by arjuna (Virata Rupa) which was the whole of creation, but only a quarter of reality. He also continued in this vein that Ravanasura never laid hands on Sitadevi, but rather stole a subform of Kalima who caused death just as she does to all who try to own her. The question should be, "Do we die?", AND THE ANSWER IS THE SAME, NO WE DONT, ONLY PRIESTS AND FOOLS THINK WE DIE, BUT THE FIRST THING WE LEARN AT THE TIME OF ILLUSORY DEATH OCCURS IS THAT DEATH ITSELF IS MAYA, AN ILLUSION, AND LIFE GOES ON (AND ON AND ON AND ON) Not yelling, my finger slipped. mahak
  21. On another thread, one asked if my guru is god, and I said, simply, YES. All this artificial behavior over the last quarter + century neglects all teachings of Guru tattwa. There is no artifice in guru tattwa whatsoever, only the lawmakers destroy everything by trying to manipulate others and this is because of their own lack of faith and understanding in the teachings of the acaryas and Krsna. There is no other guru than God. He sits as the witness of activities for all sentient beings as the localized Paramatma. When one has even the slightest interest in reality, Lord Nityananda Prabhu, aka Sri Sesa Balarama, Lord Chaitagurudeva approaches and reveals Himself to the aspiring candidate for devotional service. There is no laws involved. Srila Prabhupadas entire western movement was based on this fact, thus the public chanting, Harinama Samkirtana, and the distribution of Prasadam and basic philosophy became the impetus for such slight interest. As the purification process works, advancement is natural, not any kind of legislation. If one loses interest, which is also our tendency being so mired in the muck of Babylon Systems (aka Maya, that which is not, or my fave, phantasmagoria), no law will help, and if one in surrendering to such laws by force or rapist brainwashing, there is no Krsna Consciousness, because there is neglect of Lord Nityananda. However, if the natural advancement continues, and ones interest comes to the point of needing personal assistance, Lord Nityananda appears as the spiritual master, whomever he is pleased to inspire to take on such a mission, without any manipulative law involved. (Imagine what all dem hare krsna fanatics thought of Haridas Thakur in those days when he acted as a guru to one they considered to be a ho, and he wasnt even hindu). No laws ever replace the inspiration and empowerment of a guru enacted by Sri Sesa Balarama. The story of Romaraharsana is a story of the laws of disciplic succession, and some so-called brahmanas were protesting the actions of Lord Balarama who thwarted their bogus disciplic succession laws with his kusa weapon. He placed whom HE SELECTED, INSPIRED, and EMPOWERED upon the vyasasana. He did not tell those at Naimasaranya that Vyasadeva sits there, and only him, for the rest of their thousand year yajna, nor does he accept the election of Romaraharsana. As far as what I may have seemed to read here about one who supports our godbrothers being gurus even though he may have tasted disappointment in his selection, I say good for you. I, too, support anyone who accepts disciples and wish them all the best. If such a guru is only a kanistha adhikari, that is okay as well, because his disciples all have the chance of becoming a third class devotee. Look around, folks, how many third class devotees do you see. There are far and few in between, so I support all such gradual advancement. And I recognize that these folks have become third class devotees (from the depths of animals and raksasas) because they have a little interest, and this interest has invoked guru tattwa, Lord Nityananda is at work leading these candidates fo PURE DEVOTIONAL SERVICE through the gradual process of sadhana bhakti. And there is opportunity for both the kanistha guru and kanistha disciple to, together, clear up a bit to become second class. Thus, if you got a guru who went bad, it is your duty to help him, not curse him. You owe your life to him. hare krsna, not to jesus yall out, but jesus also disclaimed any reference to being a lawgiver, and forbade his disciples from making laws. Laws of disciplic succession are laws made by conditioned souls, and are made to condition souls. ys in cooperation, mahaksadasa
  22. Im gonna break this post up because of where Im at, but I want to start by stating that Srila Prabhupada never created any laws. When I hear "lawbooks" and other such stuff, I dont think of Krsna or Prabhupada, all I think about is oppressive psuedo religions of domination and just utter garbage, and think of how Krsna tells Arjuna, in the final cut, that this garbage must be completely given up. Srila Prabhupada did NOT give us any laws about disciplic succession. In fact, he only spoke of courtesy and ettiquette in regards to our accepting a guru., He only teaches freedom of choice, the actual LAW of love, meaning only by freely choosing to invest ones love in a guru is there any relationship at all. Otherwise, there is no love, just as the forcing of love upon one in the form of rigid law is called "Rape". This is where ISKCON appointed, elected, certified, etc and the rtvik proponants seem to agree, that there is some sort of regulator in any of this natural calling. TBC mahaksadasa
  23. i thought it was fence-forward. darn. funny, all the transcendental thoughts he passed on, and this one word about management of his property has created such a nonsense religion. If I had to pick one thought, Id stay with "chant Hare Krsna and your life will be sublime." To each his own, I guess. Rtvik is okay, provided that the initiating officiating guru has all the qualifications of "regular" guru. Otherwise, why associate with em, regardless.
  24. I got in trouble yesterday when I mentioned to my supervisor that it was my 60th birthday. Funny thing, the way these westerners do their zero math, they will never understand as long as they play around with numbers that have no value. Give me an abacus any day, because they do not have zeroes. Which is why I think the new mindless game, SUDOKU, is so advanced. There are no zeroes in Sudoku, either, so the math is rather sacred. Full on nine-ball (see previous articles on the "number nine" magic). Life goes on (and on and on), but the older we get, we are supposed to get wisdom. To me, wisdom (SOPHIA) means realizing there is no future, just this very second, I have no assurances Ill even finish this sentence. So, now that that is over, now I gotta realize that the past is something that was already there for me to act properly in, and I cannot change anything. So, right this second, I pay homage to the devotees of Krsna, hoping they all REMEMBER reality and all the truely fine things that reality entails, such as Sita Ram, Lord Prthu and how he changed the world, and Haridas thakur, who had no status yet was called namacarya by Sri Chaitanya. Hare Krsna, ys, mahak
