  1. Even though there are three forms, nothing happens with out the will of Krishna- Vishnu. Vishnu is the creator, because he creates brahma, who then creates every one else for him. Vishnu is the destroyer because he creates shiva, who destroys for him. In reality, there are hundreds of Rudras and brahmas and creations, but the root cause of everything is Vishnu. ________ 2nd Guest: "do not comprehend this essential Unity and debate over the Supremacy of their chosen deity." ________ Before, you start bashing the very supreme personality of the godhead by saying the people who are trying to reach him are fools.... Keep in mind that the body you are wearing also belongs to him, and you belong to him and you are acting only under his Maya. If you want more information on this , Read Bhagavath Gita, Brahma Samhita and Bhagavatham. _________ Guest: "Any form of the supreme with a form is limited and can never be accepted as the absolute manifestation of the supreme." __________ The brahman that you are talking about is Vishnu. Vishnu is everything. brahman has no form, then how can all these things exist in void? Also, if brahman has all the forms in him and the existence of everything is just a notion that remains a notion but is entertained as a reality, then what is the thing that is entertaining it?. Where is it occuring? why? If brahman knows brahman, then please end this awful war in the middle east and make all the fanatical muslims into pure devotees of brahman. We are trying to spread the consciousness of Brahman and you miss the point of Yoga vasistha, in which it says brahman is everything, and yet different from everthing at the same time. That means that he has another form, if he has no other form then that would mean that the statement that has been so strictly followed in advaita would be a waste. If brahman is everything and yet different then this actually is dvaita, So, advaita preaches dvaita and dvaita preaches advaita, because in dvaita krishna is everything and krishna is yet different, you see advaita only covers half the truth because it is misleading. Dvaita covers the entire truth. Krishna is everything, but krishna also has another form, thus making him superior as the supreme personality of the godhead who owns everything. Vishnu is brahman. Thank you.
  2. Most people I meet think that God does not exist or that the idea of a supreme being is like "Santa Clause" for the "grown ups". They also think that religion is gay and the only thing it is good for would be for mocking it. Preaching to them would be impossible. My KC interests are actually a secret, only my mom knows what I am doing at this forum. Its sad, I got so fallen that I have to live with a bunch of atheists who have no hopes what so ever. /images/graemlins/frown.gif Actually I was kind of challenged with a discussion by a person from KC in an airplane. he was a 50 or 60 year old man who was a doctor. He changed my mind. thank god! /images/graemlins/smile.gif we can be followers right, not preachers?.
  3. Choice pretaining to what action we do is in our hands. The choice which deals with what would be the result would be in Krishna's hands. For example, if you are a simple farmer, you may work very hard, but the crops may fail to live. On the other hand, the fertility of the soil may suddenly increase, thus giving you a bounty to sell. So, the action is in your hand, "to do or not to do" is yours. But, what result you will obtain would be based on Krishna. even though past actions would effect us, they effect you as impulses, the action is still in our hands. /images/graemlins/grin.gif
  4. He gets kicked by Satyabhama, she was very angry. She kicks him, when he bows to her feet.
  5. You know what the funny thing is, even though Krishna gave satyabhama the tree... When she went to her garden and placed the tree, all the flowers of the tree fell into Rukmini's place. The tree was Satyabhama's but the flowers were all for Rukmini. This made Satyabhama know that Krishna is impossible to be influenced, but he can be easily controlled by Love . Clearly, Rukmini's love for krishna was greater than that of satyabhama's. Satyabhama is one of those wives who think that they can influence krishna but they really can't. She even got married to krishna on the only accord of having a husband as her slave. So that she could tell him anything she wants and he will do it for her. Krishna married satyabhama because he wanted love /images/graemlins/smile.gif Whatever she told him, he would do it! but then again, one smile of his would make her so much love toward him that it was ecstacy. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif I guess krishna comes to us and breaks our false ego when he wishes to have our devotion. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif Satyabhama experienced alot of instances that made her think that she was inferior, but the true point was that she was overwhelmed with ego , thus lowering her love for Krishna in front of the love that Rukmini shows or Radha shows. The same krishna who couldn't be defeated by people like Indra bowed down to Sudhama... and offered him great affection, because he showed love. Krishna made it a dharma that you can control even God through affection and love /images/graemlins/grin.gif Because , Krishna can only be controlled by love. /images/graemlins/smile.gif true devotion and attachment to Krishna gives a free ticket to vraja. /images/graemlins/cool.gif
  6. well, krishna clearly says that he is the true controller. then again, he lets us control for some extent. Doesn't he say , the choice of Arjuna is to fight, or not to fight. The result is not in his hand. So if these scientists wanted not to create the bomb, then there wouldn't be a bomb. But they decided to create it, thus choosing to do the action. However, the result is not in their hand, it is going to blow up somewhere in the world. So it did and killed millions of innocent people and their happy lives. Their human birth was wasted in a ridiculous war for power. /images/graemlins/mad.gif Anyway, the point is they had control over their actions!, but they didn't pick the right choice and they should pay for what they did, they will though, because of their bad karma. /images/graemlins/mad.gif

  8. All he cared for was his work. He didnt care for his first wife, he didn't care for his family. He married again and he didn't care for that wife either. He made up a formula that was neccessary in killing off alot of innocent people. He made predictions that were kind of misleading. Anyway, At the end , all he found out was that every thing has a cause , as if something is sustaining, creating and destroying all things . Nothing happens without a cause. but a normal person would say : Duh! we know that already. Case closed .
  9. The first problem is that this piece of text that you are posting here was written some time between 500 AD- 1700 AD. Thats a problem, because people at that time were honest and nice and very sincere about their devotional service. So , finding a guru was a piece of cake. But now, we don't really know who is who and what is what any more. Every one is mysterious in their own ways. Today, the so-called honest people are the ones who just lie when they need to and don't lie when they don't have to. People are so selfish and they all of them try to cheat for their own good. Finding a self situated guru in this day and age is like going to Mars.
  10. Its true, because people today are not completely honest and we don't have some powerful aura that keeps away the bad guys and lets in the good guys. That just can't happen. So, getting a true guru would be like getting a diamond for free.
  11. I can't get food cooked by pure devotees because my mom cooks it for my family. Yes you can think of me as a fanatic for krishna because I love being a fanatic of a good thing. Anyway, Is there a way to purify the food that is not cooked by a pure devotee? My mom is not a pure devotee, she just cooks . Please answer me /images/graemlins/crazy.gif
  12. He can do anything, but he acts with the rules set by him. Why? More fun for him! /images/graemlins/smile.gif Well, even he says it, in bhagavath gita, when he says that He does not have to be in front of arjuna, he does not have to do anything for his creation. He is above everything , but still he does it. why ? because he is following Dharma. Its like eating baby food, when you are feeding a baby food, you kind of seem to eat it, to show the baby that it is good. So that you make the baby eat. Its the same scenario here, except it is on a higher level.
  13. It kind of makes sense to think of giving respect to krishna. but giving all that respect on the outside and making him a friend on the inside is quite confusing.

  15. You see, in buddhism there is no self or the soul, but there is a collection of desires that came up due to past karmas... and we are those desires. However, in our philosophy we do believe that there is a self or the soul. So, we are not just billiard balls that are going in a mathematical course due to our past karmas. But, we are are the ones who act like the billiard balls living in an illusion of the mathematical course itself being the free will. In reality, for the billiard balls, the course is not in their control. In the same way, in the so called free will, where we go deep into the maya or desire fullfilling attitude, we are being driven by the impulse that has been set for us by our past Karma. The only way however, is to restrain such a path, because we are the individual souls that can stop and have the chance for the real free will, which is the free will to get out of the cycle of Karma. When we get out of karma, we are peaceful at ease. I believe this getting out of "The wheel of Karma" is the buddhist idea of nirvana, which is bliss. but in Hindu philosophy, we go a little further, where the soul goes beyond the cycle of karma and into the abode of all bliss, which exists everywhere, and this is called vraja (by devotees of krishna). In conclusion, the basic fact of life is that, You can choose , yet the choosing itself is perverted to make you not choose. To choose the right choice, we need to go choose the choice that does not appear like choosing... I think. Intelligent self-restraint is the answer /images/graemlins/grin.gif I want to spend a lot of money for fun, but not spending is the true freedom.
  16. what if we can't ignore the food that is not made by pure devotional service to Sri Radha Krishna.
  17. The ideas of materialism do not spread through foods. right? I mean, if we eat food cooked by a person suffering from obessive compulsory disorder, we cannot get obsessive like them. sorry, but i think that is ridiculous , in my view. Materialism and Karma exist in our minds, they are nothing more than notions entertained due to maya. If they can spread through food stuffs then that would mean that we don't eat!. The entire human race would go into extinction and we would just die off. In the Vedic age, the kings and queens did not cook their own food , they got food cooked by the royal cook. The royal cook may have been really nasty, but that does not mean that the king who ate what the royal cook cooked pays the price.
  18. You can go to the big 'G' (God) or (Krishna) corporation. There you can get the permission to be a "GURU" from the big G or K or what ever you want to call him. Sorry, you have to go there personally, they don't take phone calls and they don't have an e-mail address or a mailing address ,they are really "privatized" and let only "the members" in. /images/graemlins/smile.gif Here are the directions: First keep thinking about beautiful women, the power , and the money, then after you are really really old take a right turn at death #1. Then, take a straight road through 8 million species of life, when you get to the human intersection, start thinking about beautiful women, the power , and the money, then after you are really really old take a right turn at death #2. Then, take a straight road through 8 million species of life, when you get to the human intersection, start thinking about beautiful women, the power , and the money, then after you are really really old take a right turn at death #3. Then, take a straight road through 8 million species of life, when you get to the human intersection, start thinking about beautiful women, the power , and the money, then after you are really really old take a right turn at death #4. You keep doing the same thing until you reach the 7th death. Here if you still want beautiful women, the power , and the money, then take a right turn at death. then again, if you feel that you were moving in a circle all along---> they got a special name for it called Karma... , anyway, if you feel like you were moving in a big karma circle all along and you really don't want to meet any one but find peace. Then, take a left turn at renunciation---> Voila!!!!!!! The big K himself comes up and gives you a nice place in his big house/ corporation. every one lives happily ever after. /images/graemlins/wink.gif /images/graemlins/laugh.gif (K stands for Krishna , G stands for his other name called God) Muchas gracias. /images/graemlins/smile.gif /images/graemlins/grin.gif
  19. Rice is a Karmi Grain? and by your definition it is bad, but then that would mean that people can't eat rice cakes. Rice cakes contaminate people? how ? This is another type of conditioning! What we take in does not contaminate us, when we are not our body. Rice is not an animal, we are not killing it and then eating it. Rice cakes are filled with milk, sugar and rice. How can it be so bad? Come on, eating a rice cake does not make you forget about krishna. Just the same, eating a pretzel does not make you forget about krishna. I think you can just ignore these karmi grains.
  20. You seem to compare chewing a piece of gum to "passing stool" in the temple. I understand by your statements that chewing gum is bad in front of Krishna (when you compare it to passing of stool), but now I have another question if you don't mind. Question: why is chewing gum so bad in the temple? its not like we are spitting it. I say this because, I never really paid attention to it in such a detail... and may be I could have chewed gum in the past.

  22. If Chewing gum is a problem before the deity, aren't we "before the deity" always. I mean, isn't krishna every where, so how can you chew gum in front of krishna in one place and not in front of krishna in the other. Isn't this like , its not okay to do it when krishna is seeing you, but when you don't realize krishna is seeing you then it is okay to cheat.
