1. Nothing wrong. I do not see square. Hi Mel maybe you need to download some updates I suppose. And I know Theist is not square Hare Krishna/Krsna Jay Sirla Prabhupada
2. Thank You For that clarification. Because sometime back we saw a heavy debate with some trolls on this forum with regards to our parampara system. Hare Krsna/Krishna Jay Sirla Prabhupada
3. Kulpavana Prabhu takes these words in a positive light instead of defending by attacking the views made in the above posts. I get very upset and angry to hear people criticize HDG Sirla Prabhupada over the fall down of the people he had chosen to lead the movement. But can any of these critics name one person who at such an advanced age came to a counrty with almost no money but a heart filled with love and faith in his Guru's instruction came to spread the mercy of Lord Chaitanya and the Holy chanting of the Mahamantra. He could have lived his life out in the comfort of Vrandavan and left us to try and make sense of Bhagavad Gita translated by people who have absolutely no faith in God/Lord Krsna. Can You imagine having to read the dry and confusing translation by so called learned doctors and professors. I don't even want to know the commentaries of these "Learned" people on the various verses. Sirla Prabhupada's translations are very clear and authentic and his commentaries are an indication of his faith in God/Lord Krsna. So to those arm-chair Critics (Kaiser and his troll buddys) before you critisize Sirla Prabhupada first try and achive just a fraction of what he has achived. Sorry Theistji for hijacking this thread. Just a quick question to devotees: Is the following correct that the Sanskrit Verses of Bhagavad Gita remains unchanged but commentaries are the realizations and views of the various Acharyas and are in line with Guru, Sadhu and Shastra which are the checks and balances to avoid deviations? Hare Krsna/Krishna Jay Sirla Prabhupada
4. I can only speak for myself. The reason I do not visit as often is because according to what I have read in many of the posts are so filled with negative and aparadh type of speech that I have just kept away. To protect myself from falling into this vicious cycle. I do not have the strength of Bijaji and other devotees from various different background, to keep the positive vibe going and keep the focus on the ultimate aim of human life. They are the voices that keep me poping in to visit Audarya fellowship. It is nice to hear from you again mataji. Please keep poping in and bring some of your amazing realizations and poems. Jay Sirla Prabhupada Hare Krsna/Krishna
5. Lord Narsimha and you must hold no fear. Coz the "evil" spirit feeds of negative vibration. So do not show any fear. Also remember Lord Krsna's promise in Bhagavad Gita "My devotees are never vanquished" The Lord protects all. Give off some positive vibrations and you will see how it drives the mischevious spirit away. May Lord Narsimha protect you. My way of chasing these negative beings is to chant the following mantra of purification from Garuda Puran. Om Apa_vitro, Pavitro_va, Sarva vasto, Gatopi_va, Yashmaare, Pungari kaksa, Sevaya Abhyantara, Sruti Shri Vishnu, Shri Vishnu, Shri Vishnu. Jay Narsimha Jay Prabhupada
6. Of poor tax payers money. What have they learned from this waste of money exercise? Let me guess.....ahhh yes what goes up must come down:idea: Ok maybe they just wanted to see how dust cload look like (that is if they can see so far....
7. These Puri Priest saying Lord Jaganath (Lord of the Universe) can only be manifest in Puri. Then why is the Lord called Jaganath?? Trying to subdue the celebration of Lord Jaganath. But the Lord is more powerfull and will not be chained by these Bandits. They have kept so many people out of the temple because they are not Indians/Hindus born in India and now they want to keep the people of the world from having the mercy of Lord Jaganath's Darshan. No one can stop the Lord from coming to every country of the World to give his devotees Darshan of mercy. And May The Lord's Chariot ride from country to country across the Globe. All Glories to Lord Jaganath, Baladev Subhdra's Rathyatrs processions Hare Krsna All glories to the devotees for bringing the Lord's Mercy to the people of the World. All Glories to Sirla Prabhupada for allowing us the people of the world to get the mercy of the Lord. Jay Jaganath Jay Sirla Prabhupada
8. What is this "Sindhuisim/ or as the Mogul Invaders called Hindusim" based on according to your "expert" knowledge?
9. Hare Krsna Jay Shri Krsna Janmashtami (Appearance Day). All glories to the devotees of the Lord. All glories to Sirla Prabhupada Hare Krsna/Krishna
10. Krsna Clearly states in Bhagavad Gita 2.25 avyakto 'yam acintyo' yam avikaryo 'yam ucyate tasmad evam viditvainam nanusocitum arhasi TRANSLATION: It is said that the Soul is invisible, inconceivable, and unchangeable. Knowing this, you should not grieve for the body Further Verse 2.26 atha cainam nitya-jatam nityam va manyase mrtam tathapi tvam maha-baho nainam socitum arhasi TRANSLATION: If However, you think that the soul is perpetually born and always dies, still you have no reasons to lament, o mighty armed. So I just want to say Bart nice realization you have about the soul. Also w.r.g to free will very nicely put. We only have 2 choice one is to become God Conciouss / Krsna Concious the other is (putting it harshly) not give a damn and become a hedonist fully under the control of Maya. 11. That vegetarianisim should be advocated but also for ecological reason. The amount of wasted resources on growing animals for the pleasure of the tongue is just sooooo ridicules. One pound of meat causes so much damage and the only benefits goes to the meat farmer and sellers. I am sure Bishadi can maybe do some maths in calculating the energy spent on growing a pound of flesh compared to energy growing plants for human consumption. Energy put in VS energy gained. If your maths is correct you should easily see for yourself the economical and ecological reason for moving away from wastefull and uncompassionate meat diet to a more compassionate vegetarian diet. This is definately not blind compassion and the maths will prove it. Hare Krsna/Krishna Jay Sirla Prabhupada
12. I ALSO READ SOMEWHERE THAT TAJ MAHAL IN AGRA WAS ALSO A TEMPLE CONVERTED AND THAT DURING INDIRA GANDHIS TIME THEY FOUND SOME MURTIS AND SHE ORDERED EVERYTHING TO BE SEALED. WHY WOULD WE NOT WANT TO KNOW THAT TRUTH. AFTER ALL WE ARE A FREE COUNTRY NOW. - Ashok 009 "An Architect Looks at the Taj Mahal Legend" by Marvin Mills, is a great review of the information available on the Taj Mahal and raises some very interesting questions that make it obvious that the Taj could not have been built the way or during the time that history presents, which makes it more like a fable than accurate history. This suggests a construction date of 1359 AD, about 300 years before Shah Jahan. The True Story of the Taj Mahal. This article by P. N. Oak (from Pune, India) provides an overview of his research and lists his 109 proofs of how the Taj Mahal was a pre-existing Hindu temple palace, built not by Shah Jahan but originally at least 500 years earlier in 1155 AD by Raja Paramardi Dev as a Vedic temple. Mr. P. N. Oak is another who has done much research into this topic, and such a study is hardly complete without considering his findings. The evidence he presents here is a most interesting read, whether you agree with it all or not, or care for some of the anger in his sentiment. Mr. Oak has presented his own conclusions in his books, most notably Taj Mahal--The True Story (ISBN: 0-9611614-4-2). The Letter of Aurangzeb ordering repairs on the old Taj Mahal in the year just before it is said to have been completed. The Badshahnama is the history written by the Emperor's own chronicler. This page shows how Aurangzeb had acquired the Taj from the previous owner, Jai Singh, grandson of Raja Mansingh, after selecting this site for the burial of Queen Mumtaz. 13. Art Photo # 1 As in the headquarters of Christianity (namely the Vatican in Rome) at the headquarters of Islam too (namely in the Kaaba temple in Mecca city of Saudi Arabia) the ancient Hindu Shiva Linga may still be seen. This cylindrical stone, rendered immovable for security by being fixed in the outer corner of a wall, is the object of reverence of all Muslims. Here Muslims still continue the seven perambulations in the age old Hindu style except that they move anti-clockwise. White silver foil shrouds the stone. The oval uncovered central portion gives the pilgrims an idea of how the stone looks. Syrians had once carried away the stone as a war trophy and kept it for 22 years.
14. Arabic tradition has lost trace of the founding of the Kaaba temple. The discovery of the Vikramaditya inscription affords a clue. King Vikramaditya is known for his great devotion to Lord Mahadev (Siva). At Ujjain (India), the capital of Vikramaditya, exists the famous shrine of Mahankal, i.e., of Lord Shankara (Siva) associated with Vikramaditya. Since according to the Vikramaditya inscription he spread the Vedic religion, who else but he could have founded the Kaaba temple in Mecca? A few miles away from Mecca is a big signboard which bars the entry of any non-Muslim into the area. This is a reminder of the days when the Kaaba was stormed and captured solely for the newly established faith of Islam. The object in barring entry of non-Muslims was obviously to prevent its recapture. As the pilgrim proceeds towards Mecca he is asked to shave his head and beard and to don special sacred attire that consists of two seamless sheets of white cloth. One is to be worn round the waist and the other over the shoulders. Both these rites are remnants of the old Vedic practice of entering Hindu temples clean- and with holy seamless white sheets. The main shrine in Mecca, which houses the Siva emblem, is known as the Kaaba. It is clothed in a black shroud. That custom also originates from the days when it was thought necessary to discourage its recapture by camouflaging it. According to the Encyclopaedia Britannica, the Kaaba has 360 images. Traditional accounts mention that one of the deities among the 360 destroyed when the place was stormed, was that of Saturn; another was of the Moon and yet another was one called Allah. That shows that in the Kaaba the Arabs worshipped the nine planets in pre-Islamic days. In India the practice of 'Navagraha' puja, that is worship of the nine planets, is still in vogue. Two of these nine are Saturn and Moon. In India the crescent moon is always painted across the forehead of the Siva symbol. Since that symbol was associated with the Siva emblem in Kaaba it came to be grafted on the flag of Islam. Another Hindu tradition associated with the Kaaba is that of the sacred stream Ganga (sacred waters of the Ganges river). According to the Hindu tradition Ganga is also inseparable from the Shiva emblem as the crescent moon. Wherever there is a Siva emblem, Ganga must co-exist. True to that association a sacred fount exists near the Kaaba. Its water is held sacred because it has been traditionally regarded as Ganga since pre-Islamic times (Zam-Zam water). [Note: Even today, Muslim pilgrims who go to the Kaaba for Haj regard this Zam-Zam water with reverence and take some bottled water with them as sacred water.] Muslim pilgrims visiting the Kaaba temple go around it seven times. In no other mosque does the circumambulation prevail. Hindus invariably circumambulate around their deities. This is yet another proof that the Kaaba shrine is a pre-Islamic Indian Shiva temple where the Hindu practice of circumambulation is still meticulously observed. The practice of taking seven steps- known as Saptapadi in Sanskrit- is associated with Hindu marriage ceremony and fire worship. The culminating rite in a Hindu marriage enjoins upon the bride and groom to go round the sacred fire four times (but misunderstood by many as seven times). Since "Makha" means fire, the seven circumambulations also prove that Mecca was the seat of Indian fire-worship in the West Asia. It might come as a stunning revelation to many that the word 'ALLAH' itself is Sanskrit. In Sanskrit language Allah, Akka and Amba are synonyms. They signify a goddess or mother. The term 'ALLAH' forms part of Sanskrit chants invoking goddess Durga, also known as Bhavani, Chandi and Mahishasurmardini. The Islamic word for God is., therefore, not an innovation but the ancient Sanskrit appellation retained and continued by Islam. Allah means mother or goddess and mother goddess. One Koranic verse is an exact translation of a stanza in the Yajurveda. This was pointed out by the great research scholar Pandit Satavlekar of Pardi in one of his articles. [Note: Another scholar points out that the following teaching from the Koran is exactly similar to the teaching of the Kena Upanishad (1.7). The Koran: "Sight perceives Him not. But He perceives men's sights; for He is the knower of secrets , the Aware." Kena Upanishad: "That which cannot be seen by the eye but through which the eye itself sees, know That to be Brahman (God) and not what people worship here (in the manifested world)." A simplified meaning of both the above verses reads: God is one and that He is beyond man's sensory experience.] The identity of Unani and Ayurvedic systems shows that Unani is just the Arabic term for the Ayurvedic system of healing taught to them and administered in Arabia when Arabia formed part of the Indian empire. It will now be easy to comprehend the various Hindu customs still prevailing in West Asian countries even after the existence of Islam during the last 1300 years. Let us review some Hindu traditions which exist as the core of Islamic practice. The Hindus have a pantheon of 33 gods. People in Asia Minor too worshipped 33 gods before the spread of Islam. The lunar calendar was introduced in West Asia during the Indian rule. The Muslim month 'Safar' signifying the 'extra' month (Adhik Maas) in the Hindu calendar. The Muslim month Rabi is the corrupt form of Ravi meaning the sun because Sanskrit 'V' changes into Prakrit 'B' (Prakrit being the popular version of Sanskrit language). The Muslim sanctity for Gyrahwi Sharif is nothing but the Hindu Ekadashi (Gyrah = elevan or Gyaarah). Both are identical in meaning. The Islamic practice of Bakari Eed derives from the Go-Medh and Ashva-Medh Yagnas or sacrifices of Vedic times. Eed in Sanskrit means worship. The Islamic word Eed for festive days, signifying days of worship, is therefore a pure Sanskrit word. The word MESH in the Hindu zodiac signifies a lamb. Since in ancient times the year used to begin with the entry of the sun in Aries, the occasion was celebrated with mutton feasting. That is the origin of the Bakari Eed festival. [Note: The word Bakari is an Indian language word for a goat.] Since Eed means worship and Griha means 'house', the Islamic word Idgah signifies a 'House of worship' which is the exact Sanskrit connotation of the term. Similarly the word 'Namaz' derives from two Sanskrit roots 'Nama' and 'Yajna' (NAMa yAJna) meaning bowing and worshipping. Vedic descriptions about the moon, the different stellar constellations and the creation of the universe have been incorporated from the Vedas in Koran part 1 chapter 2, stanza 113, 114, 115, and 158, 189, chapter 9, stanza 37 and chapter 10, stanzas 4 to 7. Recital of the Namaz five times a day owes its origin to the Vedic injunction of Panchmahayagna (five daily worship- Panch-Maha-Yagna) which is part of the daily Vedic ritual prescribed for all individuals. Muslims are enjoined cleanliness of five parts of the body before commencing prayers. This derives from the Vedic injuction 'Shareer Shydhyartham Panchanga Nyasah'. Four months of the year are regarded as very sacred in Islamic custom. The devout are enjoined to abstain from plunder and other evil deeds during that period. This originates in the Chaturmasa i.e., the four-month period of special vows and austerities in Hindu tradition. Shabibarat is the corrupt form of Shiva Vrat and Shiva Ratra. Since the Kaaba has been an important centre of Shiva (Siva) worship from times immemorial, the Shivaratri festival used to be celebrated there with great gusto. It is that festival which is signified by the Islamic word Shabibarat. Encyclopaedias tell us that there are inscriptions on the side of the Kaaba walls. What they are, no body has been allowed to study, according to the correspondence I had with an American scholar of Arabic. But according to hearsay at least some of those inscriptions are in Sanskrit, and some of them are stanzas from the Bhagavad Gita.

17. Welcome back:) From my side still struggling with the ups & down But carrying on the best way I can You are absolutely correct about fault finding. But sometimes we tend to reflect the nonsense/rascaldom inside ourselves and see in others what actually is inside ourselves. So in a way it could also be a way of talking about our own shortcomings. Just something to think about. Hare Krsna/Krishna Jay Sirla Prabhupada
18. Thank You Theistji... this point I was trying to convey to Cbrahma about adding love/bhakti. Thank You also for pointing out the part about discipline. So no more excuses. IF you can make time to prepare food than you can take few minutes to offer the bhoga (with love and devotion). All you need to do is keep a special plate a few bowls spoon, fork, a piece of sponge and cloth seperate for cleaning the utensils. I think you can do this for a special person who has given you sooo much. Take this simple method if it is the only bhakti you can perform. This effort/Bhakti will not go invane. That is promise given by Lord Krsna in the Bhagawat Gita. What have you got to loose? Hare Krsna/Krishna Jay Sirla Prabhupada
19. The voice in the head is realy loud. So you think only by adhering to brahmanical standards will we be on platform to get the Lords loving attention?? So a child will never get the parents love even if the effort they put in is not perfect?? Thank God because the God I know is not vengefull/spitefull. Oh by the way domestic work is also a job ask any parents. You spend so much time on this forum justifying your inability to find time to cook food and offer it with love and devotion?? Unless your job entails working on the internet chat sites. Any way I suppose if you think you are not good enough to cook for God then who am I to say otherwise. Wishing you all the best in your job. Hare Krsna/Krishna Jay Sirla Prabhupada
20. My mother at the biginning some years ago also said the same thing but you know what she perservered and shut the nonsense voice in her head about making a mistake because she truly loved the Lord so much she was willing to take risk of punishment for making a mistake. Anyway what kind of Loving God do you think would punish his child if they made a mistake when their intentions are tinged with love and devotion??? SO Just Do It!!. Try your best he is more interested in your love and devotion and not so much on rituals. I am sure you are practising vegetarian. SO give it a go. You have more to gain than to loose. Hare Krsna/Krishna Jay Sirla Prabhupada
21. As my mother always says Lord Krsna is not hungary for the food we offer him but he is hungary for the love and devotion we put into when offering him the food. Try your best and dont forget the most important ingrediant above all else your love and devotion. Cbrahma please dont throw the baby out with the bath water. Just throw the dirty water (the water that is causing you to abandon your devotion and love) out. Lord Chaitanya has made it so easy and sublime for us to break the cycle of birth and death. I remember reading a pastime of Lord Chaitanya where some Brahmanas were laughing at another brahman priest who was illiterate and had the Gita opened and was looking at the pages and crying. When inquired from the illiterate Brahman priest why he was crying? He replied that it was so amazing that the Lord personally spoke the words he was touching on the pages of the Gita. This illterate brahman was more advanced than the other so called brahmanas who could read and recite the verses most ellequently from the Gita because he had realized the Lord on a personal level beyond the formalities and rituals of "religion" Hare Krsna/Krishna Jay Sirla Prabhupada
22. Of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu being an Avatar is found in the following Puranic Verses: Adi-Puran and in the Narada Puran, the Supreme Person says: aham eva dvija-srestho nityam pracchanna-vigrahah bhagavad-bhakta-rupena lokam raksami sarvada I shall advent in the form of a Brahmana devotee [aham eva dvija-srestho] and I shall hide my factual identity [prachanna vigrahah]. I shall deliver all the worlds [lokam raksami sarvada]. In the Upa-Puranas, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krishna speaks to Srila Vyasadeva: aham eva kvacid brahman sannyasa asramam asritah hari bhaktim grahayami kalau papa-hatan naran O Brahmana, I occasionally take the Sannyas Asram [sannyasa asrama asritah] in an attempt to bring the fallen people of Kali Yuga to take up the path of Bhakti or devotional service to Lord Krishna [hari bhaktim grahayami]. In the Garuda-Purana, the Supreme Person says: kalina dakyamananam paritranaya tanu-bhrtam janma prathama sandhyayam karisyami dvijatisu In the first part [prathama sandhya] of the age of Kali, I will come among the brahmanas [karisyami dvijatisu] to save the fallen souls, [paritranaya tanu-bhrtam] who are being burned by the troubles of the age of Kali [kalina dahyamananam]. In the Garuda-Purana, the Supreme Lord says: aham purno bhavisyami yuga-sandhyau visesatah mayapure navadvipe bhavisyami sachi sutah I will take birth as the son of Sachi [bhavisyami sachi sutah], in Navadvip-Mayapur [mayapure navadvipe]. I will come in my complete spiritual form in the first part of Kali-Yuga. In the Matsya-Purana, the Supreme Personality of Godhead says: mundo gaurah su-dirghangas tri-srotas-tira-sambhavah dayaluh kirtana-grahi bhavisyami kalau-yuge In the age of Kali, I shall advent [bhavisyami kalau yuge] where the three rivers meet [tri-srotas-tira-sambhavah]. I shall have a shaven head [mundah]. I shall have a golden complexion [gaurah]. I will be very kind and always chant the holy name of Krishna [dayaloh kirtana-grahi]. In the Vayu-Purana, the Supreme Personality of Godhead states: suddho gaurah-su-dirghango ganga-tira-samudbhavah dayaluh-kirtana-grahi bhavisyami kalau yuge In the age of Kali-Yuga, I shall come [bhavisyami kalau yuge] in a place on the bank of the Ganges [ganga-tira-samudbhavah]. I will be very pure [suddhah], have a golden complexion [gaurah], and be very tall [su-dirghangah] and chant the holy names of Krishna. These are just some of the quotes I could give you more: So please come out of the Dark and bask in the golden radiation from Gauranga Mahaprabhu (Golden Avatar) the most mercyfull of all Avatars. Hare Krsna/Krishna Jay Sirla Prabhupada
23. Which Brahma are you referring to? You must understand that there are various Brahmas (living entities given the post of Brahma) I may be wrong but it could be another Brahma from another Kalpa/Time. Maybe someone with more information could help clarify. Hare Krsna/Krishna Jay Sirla Prabhupada
24. It may seem cruel but you must understand that in this animal life form the living entity is not gaining any new good/bad karma but is given the opportunity (by the mercy of God) to burn away the "bad" karma at a very fast pace. I cannot recall exactly where I read and maybe someone on this forum knows. There are basically 3 "gate-ways / 3 types of animals" for living entity to evolve from animal platform to human platform. The first gate-way/evolution for living entity is from the bovine animal platform for living entities taking birth in the mode of goodness/Satvic. The second gate-way/evolution for living entity is from the big cat family platform for living entities taking birth in the mode of passion/Rajasvic. The third gate-way/evolution of living entity is from the apes/chimpanzee/monkey platform for living entities taking birth in the mode of ignorance. There are some special cases where living entities can circumvent this evolutionary process due to the mercy of God's devotees which can happen by prasadam distribution. So give prasadam to all living entities. Hare Krsna/Krishna Jay Sirla Prabhupada
