These so called 'short cut' versions are meant only for one and one purpose: Cleansing of the mind. You may ask how can a dip in ganga cleanse your mind....Exactly the opposite of how incessant indulgence in meat eating,intoxicants etc. makes the condition of your mind worse. So if a person has a pure mind,all he has to do is go in front of the prema bhakta(guru). the guru can do anything.He'll slap his 'ready' disciple,shout at him...say a mantra in his ear or keep his feet on his head.Done.This is the way the guru provides the ready disciple with swarupa shakti.Then the disciple's mind,senses and intelligence become spiritual.Prema bhakti is ever awaiting for such a 'clear' vessel.Through the Guru,The prema bhakti immediately manifests in the disciple's heart.Now Prema sends sweet invitations to the Lord.THe lord HAS to come.Now he can see the lord.Hear Him.Touch Him.Now he is maalamal forever.He gets to go wherever the Lord advents and thus serve in everincreasing infinte spiritual bliss. Rasatvam heva labdhva nandi bhavati. The jeevatma now obtains ever increasing bliss(Rasa) when He obtains the Lord. He DOESN'T become ananda/rasa. So all these things are done for cleansing the mind and not 'getting freed'.Liberation is a nuisance,an evil witch if you will.....'bhukti mukti pishachani...' Even Shankaracharya has enlisted 'purification of the mind' as a prerequisite to start on jnyana marga. Shanto daant uparatasth tithikshu. Daant(control over the mind/purification of the heart) is the first step itself.Then the Jnyani guru accepts you. So cleansing of the mind is a must in any 'spiritual' path.I don't think any religion even knows what the 'mind' is,let alone preach for it's purification. And that's why you haven't 'seen' a person getting freed after taking a dip in the ganga.

Karma is self contained?? God. Karma is a subtle material element or law.Do you even know what your saying when you state that karmic law is self working,defining every single fruit for every single one of the myriad living entities living in the innumerable infinite universes???? Forget that.To define and allot the karmic fruit,the karma itself must be noted.And your saying that karma does it all by itself? Wow,I confess i find the evolutionists(Who believe that matter produces life and is thus the be all and end all of everything) a tad bit cleverer.

The very fact that you did not use an honorary term "Sri" before either of those names you mentioned gives way to your sarcasm. there shall be no mention of either of these names from you in future i expect? We don't want things getting messy here do we? Stick to Bhramn,Aatma and Maya and we shall coexist,i say.

He never said that Bhramn is the source of Krsna. If this knowledge is there,why would he preach krsna bhakti? while quoting the Bhrameti,Paramatmeti and bhagavan verse from the bhagvatam,he clearly said that every single living entity is the eternal servant of sri krsna. He also explained the verse further as it is"Bhagvan being the only feature of Godhead that displays all His energies is superior to Bhramn and even paramatma." His heavy endorsement of the verse in which Sanaka-adi paramhamsa denounces bhramanand for he thinks that it is like a hoofprint of water in front of Vaikuntha's saguna saakar divyaanand,should indicate what his teachings consist. He goes further than that to enlist higher grades of spiritual bliss: Dwaraka,Mathura,Vrndavana,Kunj,Ni kunj and ____ Nikunj...the last two being unattainable for jeevatmas. The description of these abodes and their respective natures is known only to Bhaktas of class above that of Prema.

Actually...you people are starting to lose the staunch faith that every devotee once used to have in Prabhupada...There are so many 'fallen' cases around you all that you are slowly starting to get frustrated... Actually...i honestly don't think that anyone in iskcon has achieved Prema.Without Prema,NO ONE can become guru. Aray,you need to see the lord and know His Mind FOR REAL to write books and give lectures.... Prabhupada had achieved Prema...He never fell down..There is NO question only of falling down if you have prema.. Unless you have prema how will you know the Lord's will ? Scriptural guidance you mite say Sriman Mahaprabhu met His mother so many times although a sannyasi is forbidden to do so by sastras...His Prema Bhaktas knew the bhava behind the leelas perfectly well.How can a normal devotee who appears 'pure' ever understand that? So please do not think of Prabhupada as just a 'pure' devotee. The most astonishing thing is: "you can chant constantly only when you think of yourself meaner than a straw on the street." Mahaprabhu said. So why do we chant without this feeling? This feeling is NIGH impossible to come without Smaranam of the Lord.How can it even come? "Bahu janm kare Shravan kirtan,tabhu naahi mile Krsna pade Prema dhon" Sri Gauranga says,"You do mechanical shravan kirtan for billions of lifetimes...you won't get prema" He has clearly classified bhakti as Anasanga(Without involvement of the mind/shravanam) and sasanga(with the involvment of mind/shravanam). We experience it daily whent we chant hare krsna...There's is NO feeling... Chant with concentration. What concentration? It means REMEMBER the LORD !!!!!! Cleansing of the mind is the only task to achieve.Cleansing of the senses automatically happens. "Manera smaran PRAAN" Smaranam is the life force of sadhana bhakti. What is anuraga? Attachment of the MIND to the lord.NOT the tongue.Attachment of mind implies attachment of the tongue. Herein lies the root bug that has caused the massive deterioration and 'fallen' examples...no sasanga bhakti...Slowly even the intial tears that used to come from our eyes have dried up....If crying is not there,automatically we should understand that we are stunted...No crying...No mercy of the lord.Period.

Consciousness and consciousness alone implies that the entity is living. You are on this earthly planet for you have a consciousness steeped in tamas/rajas gunas whereas Shani dev is the heavenly planet for his consciousness is steeped in rajas/sattva gunas. If you are one and the same why this massive difference in consciousness? If you still believe other wise,please go and slap your teacher who taught you this.Explanation: Teacher,you are bhramn.I'm Brahmn.Hand is Bramn and Your cheek is Bhramn.No problem.Enjoy.

Srikant....Shani dev pervades his body and you pervade the third class body of a human(don't take offense.I consider any human body including mine as dirty.) So tell me,how come you,who pervades a body here and shani,who pervades a body billions of kilometers away be the same and yet have different experiences at the same time? I'm led to believe Bhramn is indivisible...It cannot be broken or torn or divided.Forget Bhramn...Any ordinary scholar knows that Aatma itself is indivisble. A person only experiences events related to his body.Wereas another person experiences another set of experiences in some heavenly planet.Collective consciousness loses ground as soon as we consider these facts...Even a donkey can understand it's a farce. And yet you believe that You and Shani dev are one and the same? A certain living entity did a set of sacrifices and then he died.He got shani dev's body. But for that,the living entity has to travel first to the MOON(ut-kraanti), then his type of body is decided(gati) and after the span of 1 millenia or whatever,the living entity has to LEAVE that body and return to the earth planet(Aa-gati). An all pervading entity never undergoes these stages of 'ut-kraanti'/'gati' and 'aa-gati'. Now tell me...Which sane person will say that this living entity is non-different from all there is?? I'll answer that for you: NONE.

As for your incredulous statement that the cosmos itself being Bhramn is not inert....... hear this.The cosmos,as hyped by your oh-so-intelligent jnyanis,is afterall mithya...it is false...delusion of the soul..... So your apparent belief that cosmos being dynamic concludes that Bhramn is not inert crumbles upon what i call as Mayavadi grounds itself...

Dear Srikantdk...I ask this of you for the last time... please stick to Shankar Bhashya or please do not waste our time. Your speculations are quite marvellous and are meant to reveberate in a dubious buddhist monastery....Such jugglery of words cannot ever come from the vedas. You've learnt all this from a old quantum physicist come hindu/buddhist believer who thinks that science and spirituality are the same and runs off at every opportunity to explain his 'mindblowing' similarities between quantum mechanics and what evry tom today has come to the apparent knowledge of: Bhramn. Such "Findings" and 'speculations' belong in chambers of 'unintelligence'.They have no place amidst pramanas provided by spiritual giants of the yore(read: Ramanuja,Madhva and Nimbarka.) Adopt Shankar philosophy completely or please queue up to invent another religion of your own. Chop chop.You have to decide.

The essence of vedanta/vedas etc. is only understood by this one line put forth by Sriman Gauranga Mahaprabhu: "Shastra veda kahe sambandha abhidheya prayojana: Krisna,Krsna Bhakti,Prem..ye teen mahadhon." In the vedas,only three things are to be understood. the relationship of the living entity with Sri krsna/bhramn. The process of attaining Bhramn/sri krsna: bhakti. And the super excellent fruit of sadhana bhakti : Prema Bhakti. Besides these three,everything else is not useful for the supreme well being of a jeevatma.

a person who says "aham bhramasmi" should not care for these matters... In reality(of the concerned person) the person is Shani dev himself...So ....enjoy.

Lord Shiva says to parvati "When someone says R-A ,I get very excited.My body convulses in eagerness and i await in all ecstasy that that person might further say M-A,eventhough the person is going to say V-A-N-A." We come to know through the ramayana that Lord shiva leaves his wife,Sati,for she critisizes him for worshipping Lord Rama,Who according to her,is a mere human...thus indicating that a sane man should immediately give up the association of the person who is envious of the Supreme Lord,even though the person is one's wife. Later however Lord shiva realises that to obtain the lord,he must please Uma herseldf,she being non-different from the 9 kinds of bhakti...but thats besides the point. Lord Hanuman is an avatara of Lord Shankara himself....So go figure... who serves Whom for eternity.

I'm sorry,but karma DOESN"T come above EVERYTHING...Not Bhakti atleast. Gauranga Mahaprabhu has cleared it Himself, "Shastra Ved kahe sambandha(relationship),Abhideya(Sadhana or process) and Prayojana,Krsna,Krisna bhakti,prem,ye teen Mahadhon(the greatest treasure.)." The sastras and Vedas only speak of three things: The relationship of the jeevatma with Sri Krsna(Paramatma);The process of Bhakti that leads us to the lord and Lastly,Prema bhakti...which is the supreme attainable spiritual condition.These three are the greatest of all treasures. In Bhagvad Gita,The supreme Lord declares to Arjuna,"Think of Me alone.Forget everything else." Remembering the Supreme lord alone is the most auspicious and fruitful activity.It is above all the so called 'sadhanas' and the precious 'dharma' that so many pple were led to believe by a old person clad in khadi. Tulsidas had warned in his Ramayana: All this karma,jnana,yog,etc are all USELESS unless you surrender to my Master,Sri Ramacandra. Gauranga Mahaprabhu has declared: Bhakti mahadevi is the merciful mother of Karma and Jnyana.They are completely dependent upon Her mercy and hence they have their faces turned towards Her,eager to obtain some grace. A jnyani and Karmi can do crores of sadhanas and sacrifices,BUT all of this will be useless if he doesn't have some trace of affection for the Supreme Lord Hari. Look at Ravana...He was a bhramana..chaturvedi...He wrote commentary on the veda...He performed so many sacrifices..He was a great Shiva devotee..But he had only contempt for the Supreme Lord..So he was snuffed... consider this simple logic: Who provides the fruit of Jnyana and Karma ? The all pervading Bhram? Hardly. Bhramn is inert and without kriya shakti.It Never was,never is and Never will be active. The paramatma in the heart provides the fruits of all karma and Jnyana.Who is this paramatma. Veda vyasa declares: There are three features of the Supreme Truth.Bhramn,Paramatma Bhagvan.Sri krsna is Himself all these features of Godhead maintaining their required identities,cognizance,opulence etc. So this Parmatma is Sri krsna..You read in the sastras.. Tvameva mata,ca pita tvameve...tvameva sarvam,dravinam tvameva. karo me yadnyat saklam parasmayi, Narayana yati samarapa yami. Lord Narayana is the Sole relative of the Jeevatma.He is the closest friend,Mother,Father,brother...evrything.He is all the devas. These prayers indicate this parmatma feature of the Lord. This paramatma decides your karma phala..Who else has the power? Who else can sit WITHIN the jeevatma ? Yah aatma ni tishthati ! The parmatma sits within the jeevatma.

Lord Shiva also mentions in this particular dialogue,when Srila Narada mentions how Lord Krsna had obtained the Sudarshana Cakra from Shiva. Lord Shiva becomes very sad and quickly gives the explanation. "The lord plays these pastimes all the time.Even before this,He acted that He was worshipping me.He always does this acting..sometimes to tease me and sometimes as a special mercy. " Anyway,the sudarshana cakra is the eternal companion of the Supreme Lord. Lord Narayana had used it from the beginning of creation,billions of years before and since then till the advent of Sri Krsna.There is no reason for a sane man to even believe that the Sudarshana was obtained From Lord Shiva originally. And really,Lord Shiva is a guna avatara and so he is really not different from Lord Govinda Himself,except for the fact that Lord Govinda is original Godhead Himself,whereas when the same personality of Godhead VOLUNTARILY accepts to asscoiate with tamo guna of Maya,He is called as Shankara. Srila Vishvanatha Chakravarti Thakura has warned that one who does not know the real postion of Shambhu and Govinda,should never meddle with these matters,for both parties can end up commiting offenses.

Lord Shiva is in fact a guna avatara of the supreme lord Govinda. Sri Vishvanatha Chakravarti Thakura has confirmed that Lord Shiva is NOT a jeeva tattva and that he possesses the three saktis viz. Jeeva,maya and SWARUPA shakti. Further,It is confirmed when Sri Narada crosses the entire material manifestation of maha tattva and visits Shiva loka which is beyond maya.There Narada finds Lord Mahesvara worshipping the Supreme Expansion of the Supreme lord Govinda,Lord Shankarsana. Lord Shiva becomes very restless and sad when Narada proclaims that"You are Lord Govinda Himself." Lord Shiva covers his ears immediately and begs Narada not to say such things again.Further,Narada extols lord Shiva being the greatest devotee of the Supreme lord Shyamasundara,for uma-mahesvara had the power to grant liberation. Lord shiva dismisses such praises humbly and proclaims,"The Supreme lord Krsna has granted me and my wife,the power to grant liberation.This is his special mercy towards me." Further Shiva sends Narada to Prahlada Maharaja when Narada comes to know from lord Shiva himself that he is not the greatest devotee of Govinda. He says,"Please,if you want to meet the greatest devotee,kindly proceed back to the MAterial manifestation where a king called Prahlad lives.When the Supreme lord incarnated as Lord Nrsimhadeva,He just growled at us.I,Brahma,Laxmi were standing at a distance,shivering in fear.Whereas,the Lord took Prahlada upon His lap and played with him just like a lioness plays with her cub.He licked his body in affection.Thus you must go to Prahlad maharaja"

We all know that extremely few people really know what the real thing is...The deepest,most intimate,yet the truest philosophy.Some took tomes to explain it,others sang poems,yet only one personality till date has put it in one line. Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu:"Jeevera Swarupa Krsnera Nitya dasa hoye" And thus transcending really means surrendering to the Supreme lord,Shyamasundara. I'm sure you know all this...this is just what came to my mind.

Sri maharaj ji,merely at the age of 34,was honored with the 'Jagadguru' title in Kashi,the seat of all Vedic knowledge.He defeated hundreds of scholars in what was known as a intense clash between all the known philosophies(scholars,mayvadis,smartas,etc) and Acintya Bhedabhed(Sri Maharaj ji). Till today,I've just found one point of disagreement between Maharaj ji and Srila Prabhu pada. The former advocates that Jeeva has been under maya(Krsna Bahirmukha/maya sanmukha ) from eternal time(anaadi kaal),whereas Srila prabhupad professes that jeeva falls down at one point of time.Although,Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Maharaja proposed the former point of view. Another unique quality is that,Sri Kripaluji Maharaj quotes MASSIVELY,i mean MASSIVELY from ramyana to vedanta to shankar bhasya to Bhagvatam to any long forgotten purana you may bring up.This trait is found only in the rarest of bhagvatas. The fact that he was titled,"Sarva darshan Nikhil smanvayacharya"(One who has harmonised ALL four philosophies on vedanta) should only prove that he remains the greatest scholar till date. Lastly,he was honored with 'Jagadguruttam' pad(The greatest of all jagadgurus) by Kashi Vidvat PArishat. Life is too short already.Please do not speculate unnecessarily until you get the opportunity to watch Maharaj ji's lecture,and commit a irrevocable Vaishnava apradha. I KNOW very well that some people here believe that only sampradayic followers are genuine,but we all know some cases like Meera etc are beyond the common understanding. Most of us are aware about a certain "deterioration" going on in ISKCON.I HAVE NO certain information about the incidents,so i wont say anyhting...but all i mean to say is Sampradays ARE NOT the only house of great devotees.If it were so,the isckon devotees in Vrindavana would never wash the holy feet of hundreds of sannyasis every year.

Sri Kripaluji maharaj embodies the highest form of selfless loving service towards the Supreme lord,Shyamasundara. If you watch any of his lectures,you should come to realise his forceful and mind boggling devotional sentiments which of course spring from the intense Prema he nurses for the Supreme lord. Readers are obviously led to think and conclude of my miscalulation and mis judgement in identifying a genuine prema bhakta,but one need only read Maharaj ji's works or listen to a couple of his lectures.Srila prabhupad had warned sternly,"Never go to SEE a Vaishnava....always go to HEAR him." Sri Kripaluji Maharajji's works/lectures NEVER deviates from the intense river of knowledge that the six gosvamis(especially Rupa) put forth,not to mention the plethora of Rasiks and other kinds of bhaktas put forth(Meera,Tukaram,Kabir,Tulsidas,Surdas,Nanak.) His forceful and awe-inspiring lectures against the unscrupulous mayavadis will make any devotee bow down to him in respect.He is truly my ideal maha-bhagvata. Sri Kripaluji Maharaj ki Jai !!!!! Jai Jai Sri RADHE !!!!!

First of all,I'd like to make just one request: Please DO NOT post here if you have bad things to say or if you have to sling mud.It'll only reflect the person's unclean and dirty mind. Srila Prabhupada used to call a person "3rd class" and "Rascal" ONLY because he COULD and he KNEW what was what. The foremost teaching of Gauranga Mahaprabhu was that A DEVOTEE SHOULD CONSIDER HIMSELF MEANER THAN A STRAW ON STREET. If the person has respect for the Supreme lord's order,then automatically,there arises no question of nursing any ill will(NOT EVEN IN THE MIND) towards the concerned vaishnava. questions are welcome,only if they come from an earnest and non-scheming mindset radhe radhe

the guru should have prema.period. And the jeevatma needs to CRY in solitude otherwise the mind will NEVER get pure.Sri krsna likes straight,honest and surrendered pple.That cmes frm crying in solitude.If you cant cry,that means your not too attached to the lord.Your tongue is saying krsna ! Krsna! But your mind is doing bhakti of material world.Gauranga mahaprabhu has defined bhakti as anasanga and sasang. He further declared that sasanga bhakti(with smarana as the soul) is the real bhakti.Smaranam ! Remember the lord ! Arjuna,hanuman dont chant hare krsna on battlefield.No,their minds are surrendered.

and some fool here equating a fanatic christian declaration "christ is the only way" to the vedic truth,"the mind cannot be purified without doing krsna bhakti." There have been 5 jagadgurus till.All have accepted this fact and provided pramanas frm vedas.So dont speculate and babble anything.
