  1. I have been watching a some temple videos lately- different plays we performed for the pleasure of Their Lordships Sri Sri Gaura Nitai. One time is was Durga devi (I was only 8 years old) and I was screaming, "You rascal Kamsa, how dare you try to kill me! The child who will kill you has already been born before me somewhere else within this world. Don't be so cruel to your poor sister! I was about half the size (not exaggerating) of the person playing Kamsa, so it was hilarious. It looked like a little midget was chastising a giant- it made my day to watch that. I don't watch TV- only KC videos.
  2. Sai Baba? Please state scriptural evidence that supports he is an avatar. I respect him as a magician and nothing more.
  3. Yes, I was simply clarifying what you were saying. As I was explaining though, Vishvanatha Chakravarti Thakura is not one of these fake "gurus". Rather he was a pure devotee. Krishna is pleased if you learn about him through his pure devotee, although he has the full capacity to impart instructions to you also, as he is the chaitya guru. So for me it goes both ways, I will be benefited by reading his commentaries (I will be able to understand better) and Krishna will be pleased. Jai Nitai! indulekhadasi
  4. Guru means self realized. If a "guru" isn't self realized then how can he be called guru? Nityananda Prabhu is Guru tattva- whoever is a pure devotee of Nityananda Prabhu is an actual guru.
  5. It will only be possible if we are self realized ourselves. I know for myself that I am not on that platform yet so therefore it is neccessary for me to have those commentaries.
  6. Because Arjuna's devotion was pure bhakti, it was not adulterated! Apart from that they were the same age, had the same interests etc. which usually bind friends together.
  7. Vaishnava aparadha is a big stumbling block. With Vaishnava aparadha you can't chant purely. When you chant impurely the maxmimum you get is some ajnata sukriti.
  8. I don't know Radhe Radhe, commentaries by qualified personalities help so much. We can't understand everything by our limited intelligence. And there are no doubts about the character of Vishvanatha Chakravarti thakura. He can hardly be compared to any other commentator in the universe. I have read Sarartha Darsini- his commentary book on Srimad Bhagavatam and I have seen so much deeper into the bhagavatam then previously. JAI NITAI indulekhadasi
  9. Jai! I love reading these wonderful and instructive stories! I hope one day I can apply what I learned in these stories to my own life.
  10. Nice- good for using to teach young kids about Krishna
  11. I wish there was a close up of the deities...oh, how nice they are from Ekachakra dhama. My dear Ekachakra dhama! Who knows when I will be able to go back there! Ekachakra Dhama ki Jaya!
  12. You will be in my prayers. Remember that whatever Krishna does is for one's one good. No one could understand why Abhimanyu had to leave the world. Only Krishna knew.
  13. Yes, this is Mahesh dhama which is above the Viraja river- therefore no birth, death, old age or disease can enter there! All glories to Lord Sadasiva!
  14. If Sivananda Sena's dog could eat prasadam then it leads me to believe all dogs can. Jivera swarupa hoy krishnera nitya das. Vegetarian food won't be foreign to the dog. As long as one is not too attached to the dog, I think it is ok. Remember what happened to Maharaja Bharata!
  15. Yes, amazing. Wonderful and instructive story.
  16. I am sure that was what you meant, I was just agreeing with what you are saying. You are definitely right!
  17. Tell him to chant Hare Krishna and be happy!
  18. I totally agree. Although, I don't think the killing at Kalighat is something wonderful. I know all about it, being Bengali.
  19. Thats good- hopefully you can join the Uddhava Gita discussions too, Radhe Radhe!
  20. -Sung by Smt. Nithyasree Mahadevan Tell me how you like it! And anyone who understands it, can they please post a translation?
