  1. Of course it wouldn't! Lets start making preliminary plans! Hundreds of years later it would make a good story...how the Indiana temple came to be. Once upon a time there were 2 people on Audarya fellowship...
  2. Few questions son_of_erin2000: Do you worship Him? How long have you had Him and/or worshipped Him?
  3. I personally prefer the form of Prahlada Narasimha, so sweet! The devotion Prahlada had is unparalleled for a person of his age and a person in his type of environment (demons all around). Grhasthas are permitted to worship Ugra Narasimha in his picture form, so since thats what you are doing I don't think it is much of a problem.
  4. Also we could say: Nitai Nitai bole jeo kardahate chale jao! (Since He spent most of His family life in Kardaha)
  5. Srimad Bhagavatam Canto 9, Part 1 page 151 starts the Sudarshan Kavaca and has translation. See this link if you want to read it online: http://www.bhagavata.org/canto9/Canto9-Sanskrit/chapter5.html
  6. California, in the San Jose center. Back then it was just a storefront. Now I have heard that they have programs in a rented hall.
  7. This prabhuji was my Sunday School teacher when I was 5! I learned my first two Bhagavad Gita verses from him! Yada yada hi dharmasya, and janma karma ca me divyam! Yeah, yeah I know. I am really off topic but I got all excited and couldn't control my tounge (I meant fingers, lol).
  8. Theist prabhuji, just wondering would you mind taking cow's milk from cows that are fully protected, such as the ones in Care For Cows? Are you vegan simply because the dairy industry is connected to the slaughterhouse industry?
  9. Sreeram prabhu, did you ever get a chance to find out the meaning?
  10. No, no prabhuji. I meant to say worship Narasimhadeva by all means but if you want to worship Ugra Narasimha stick to the worship of the photo not an actual deity. Because Ugra likes to take away all the material things of a person which may not be convenient for a grhastha. However, if you have no objections to Him doing this then please keep it up. I know for myself, my mother was worshipping Ugra Narasimha and from then on I kept on having health problems to the point where I could have died. Since my mother is attached to me, it seemed obvious that Ugra Narasimha would try to take me away from her, so that she could focus more on the Lord. I agree that deity worship is not meant for just specific sects, and I apologize on the behalf of the person who said that to you. Yes, it seems too forceful sometimes. I myself am a member of ISKCON but I don't particularly have a sectarian mentality. There are devotees all over the world who could be pure and belong to no sect, whether we know them or not. Of course I wont interfere, I am just putting here what I have learned. Your servant eternally, indulekhadasi
  11. Because Narasimhadeva is the avatara who takes away everything, it is stated in some sastras that grihasthas cannot worship Him. I was just checking up.
  12. Just asking are you a grhastha or brahmachari? If your a grhastha you don't have any deity from of Ugra Nrsmha do you?
  13. White flowers are good, but take Radhe Radhe's advice as well. It doesnt matter as long as the devotion comes through.
  14. I went to Vrindavana just a few months ago. I enjoyed the experience very much. It is very spiritually uplifting. However, one must be careful. I went to Govardhana and went to Radha Kunda where a pujari caught my hand and stared to ask personal questions. I could have answered but I was so mad. I pulled my hand out and went to bathe one the deities next to Radha Kunda. I was shaking like anything. I put Radha Kunda's waters on my head to purify myself and from then on I became extremely wary of my surroundings. It is so frustrating when these types of things happen. One must be very careful in Vrindavana and at the same time absorb all the transcendental energy that one can feel there.
  15. Depends on which form of Lord Narasimha you are worshipping! Is He Ugra Narasimha, Laxmi Narasimha or Prahlada Narasimha?
  16. Still...it's true! Oh better not think about that!
  17. Does it have to be house, or do you mind buying a luxury flat in that price range? Because I am buying a flat in this price range. I was wondering if you were interested.
  18. I know, I forgot to correct that portion. Haribol!
  19. And how can we forget Srivasa! Srivasa Srivasa bole jao, kumarhatte chale jao! (Gosh I am just making these things up, but it is fun!)
