Ok, now that I am feeling more welcome now- would anyone like to post anything about Bhakta's charitra or comment on one of the qualities I posted? (Forget about who wrote them) PS- Guliadityaji and Loverofthebhagavataji I love your display pictures, they are beautiful!

How many Ashwathamas are there? One in Andhra pradhesh with specific features, another in Maharastra with different features, one here one there...why are so many people proffessing to be Ashwathama?

How can you guys debate the same issue for years, when you know that no one is going to change there opinion? Don't you think it is a waste of time? If you want to express the truth than do so but do so once. There is nothing more you can do. If you want to know what I have understood from the previous acharyas about the fall of the jiva issue, you can PM me. I will give you a simple straightfoward answer but if you refute me, I will not reply for I know that I cannot change anyone's opinion.

Whatever is needed to help us go on in Krishna consciousness should be used in my opinion. I personally need milk mixed with turmeric every night for my health. Otherwise my quality of life goes down and it affects my devotional service. Prabhupada said you could even eat meat if you needed it to survive in Krishna consciousness. But I agree that we do need more farms that treat our Mother Cow properly and doesn't send her off to the slaughterhouses when she can no longer produce milk. Loverofthebhagavata, I am shocked. You have totally misinterpreted my meaning and I am feeling quite hurt now. Constructive critisism I put in the sense that if the guru sees the disciple engage in bad habits he tries to bring him up to the proper path by showing how some things are wrong. But he doesn't stop there. He SHOWS us how to CHANGE. He considers that more important than the critisism. He criticizes gently so that the disciple can see the light. We say "om ajnana timirandasya jnanjana salakaya..." Salakaya has two meanings. One of the meanings is- a small instrument to get rid of cataracts. Obviously if the cataracts have to come out it will hurt a little. So when the guru tries to take out those cataracts or anarthas from us it will hurt a little. But this is the guru's duty because eventually it turns out for the best- where we understand the aspects of the Supreme Lord. How could you have ever thought that I would think Sri Tulasidasa was a mayavadi? I am actually crying while I am writing this. I never knew that you could be so mean. That great soul who had darshan of Sri Sri Sita Rama, Lakshman, and Hanuman is no mayavadi. My heart is breaking by reading your words. I am definitely much more insignificant than you but why bash me for something I do not believe? This is unfair! Aditya prabhu pls forgive me for all of my offenses at your lotus feet. God is not limited to nature. Nature is one of the beautiful attributes of God.

I can see you are quite intelligent for you have understood that animals do have souls. Animals can take part in Krishna consciousness by honoring prasadam (food that has been offered to the Lord). In some special circumstances, they even listen to discourses about the Lord. Parrots can even chant the Holy Name. By doing all this animals can recieve a human birth in their next life where they can advance in Krishna consciousness. Actually there is no question about the relationship with the Lord. It is already there. But some people do not wish to recognize it or they are ashamed of it. Imagine not wanting to recognize that you are the son of your father or you are ashamed that you are your father's son. It is just like that. That is what atheists do. I can see you are sincerely trying to understand our philosophy and look at both types of things. This is very good. An atheist is simply murdering his/her own self by not establishing a relationship with the Supreme Lord. His/her life simply goes to waste and therefore it can be equlivalent to murder. A regular murderer murders the body while an an atheist murders the soul. What is the difference?

Srila Rupa Goswami Prabhupada wrote it. It basically a summary study of Brhad Bhagavatamrita written by Srila Sanatana Goswami. Laghu Bhagavatamrita immediately came to mind when I read Srila Bhaktisiddhanta's commentary to this verse because he talked about direct and indirect evidences. I was in Kolkata a few months ago reading Laghu Bhagavatamrita and I remember reading about those evidences and the importance level of each type.

Yes, fault finding is a very bad aparadha. And often one aparadha will lead to another one very soon. Therefore fault finding is to be cut out. However there is a difference between fault finding and constructive criticism. Do you agree? Pls forgive me for all my offenses at your lotus feet.

Yes, just stick to the process of Krishna consciousness and Krishna will protect us from maya (unless he wants to test us).

The Lord's pure associates in the spiritual world sometimes come down and take the role of the Lord's representitive, the Guru. Almost always fallen souls like me will not be able to recognize them, but if they decide to come in contact with me- they will see how I am not even a Vaishnava yet, I am simply a sinful struggling soul. They will not just give criticism however, they will help me stand up on my own two feet in spiritual life.

It may have been written by a Gaudiya Vaishnava but the qualities are very general that I am sure all Vaishnavas would agree. It doesn't say as one of the qualities of the devotee- always worshipping Lord Chaitanya. That would be for Gaudiya Vaishnavas. I think the qualities are very general. Aditya prabhuji, do you find that you cannot accept the qualities I posted in th beginning of this thread?

I have had enough and I think people with the right mind who are on Audarya have also had enough. I suggest Admin5 should close this thread as soon as possible. Homeopathy is crazy. They claim they can cure everything in a short amount of time. I was about to die and the best homeopath in Kolkata gave me homeopathy saying it would cure me in 2 weeks. I took the medicine for one month and it didn't help. I had to go against their instructions and have surgery. It was the surgery that helped, homeopathy did not. I believe homeopathy can perhaps cure chronic problems (although I have been taking it for years with no improvement in my asthma) but it is rediculous to say that they can cure emergency situations.

I actually don't. I am a student and have a very busy life. But I was on YouTube one day on my friend's account and it was listed as a favorite. So I clicked it and I thought it was pretty funny.

Can you please exlain why it was offensive. I think the whole thing was made by Indians anyway. I actually think it was good because at least the person singing got some ajnata sukriti by singing Hare Krishna.

We do not have the eyes to see Krishna face to face right now. So how can we establish a loving relationship? How will we worship Him? So Krishna mercifully sees our problem and appears as the archa vigraha- the Deity form. By worshipping His form (which is non different from Him) we can make spiritual advancement. Still have a scratchy throat and it seems like I have a sinus infection. I don't mind, Krishna knows what is best for me.

Yes, He only revealed this to some special souls. He is a channa avatara after all. Please don't think that I think Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is different from Sri Krishna. That is absolutely not true. They are one and the same. I am sure Tirisilex knows about Mahaprabhu. I think what he meant was will Krishna appear just as he did at the end of Dvapar yuga, will he appear like that again? indulekhadasi
