There are thousands of puranas and itihasas which are not considered accurate in all aspects by hindus.

The Gita doesn't talk about Caste oppression and neither the vedas.

Well, I don’t think 'unbelief' is a deadly sin in Christianity.

Not the same kind of choice . Surrender to god to reach god or reincarnate.Some people, who want to relive their lives in a better way, may not consider reincarnation as a punishment.

But again there is always a chance to reach god either in this life or in subsequent lives.In hinduism hell is not eternal for finite mistakes done in ONE life.

If a person can survive without killing any living creature, I would be the first person to adopt such a way of life. In the past people thought plants were lifeless. Today it is a universal fact that even plants have life. Thus their logic of not killing living creatures is not fulfilled even by being a pure vegetarian

The major difference b/n islam and vaishnavism/hinduism is islam has a desert version of god who wont tolerate worshiping any body other than Allah and gives instructions to muslims to destroy other religions while hinduism allows people to worship the image of god they choose.

Saint Raghavanedra preached worship of God Vishnu and lived the life of saint.

In his last speech he said:

When I saw this post I was reminded of the Pandas (or Pundits as their Yajamanas call them) who I meet daily in the temple. To these people the only way to get GOD's blessings is through them. Everything else is non-Hindu and atheist.....This class of people form only a very small segment even among the Brahmins.
