    Firstly I am not a supporter of Hamas or any other intolerant political/religious movement. Let me make that very clear.

     

    But u have condemned israel for their actions in self defence.No such condemnation from you regarding hamas

     

     

     

    I envision a world Chandu, where history culture and religion is deeply appreciated. Where modern man can appreciate his diverse past and common destiny.

     

    I envision a world where religion does not divide. And global recognition that when religion has divided man, that religion is not Absolute Truth.

    a few days ago on the news I saw a residential area in Gaza flattened. The Israeli army not only seeks militants but levels whole areas of housing. Why?

    The military target(hamas) hides and operates in civilian areas.How it is possible for israel to isolate them without hurting civilian population??.

    Deuteronomy 13:13-17

    "If you hear that in one of the towns, there are men who are telling people to go and worship other gods, it is your duty to look into the matter and examine it.

    If it is proved and confirmed, you must put the inhabitants of that town to the sword. You must lay the town under the curse of destruction, the town and everything in it. You must pile up all its loot in the public square and burn the town and all its loot. That town is to be a ruin for all time, and never rebuilt

     

    There are plenty of such things in torah/OT.But the jews and christians(An overwhelming majority of them) moved past torah/OT.If the jews of israel have to follow torah they should not be leaving any muslims alive in israel itself forget about palestine.

    I figured as much. Even if it didn't mean it at the time of conception, it certainly means it in contemporary light. The partner bit would obviously be popularly interpreted to be Shaktiman and Shakti or any other type of "polytheistic" version.

     

    The partner aspect refers to worshipping other god(s) besides Allah.The premuhammad arabians were worshipping other smaller gods besides Allah.As per quran christians are as much polytheists as hindus.

     

    The intention was explicit and there was no ambiguity there.

    "The no son" thing refers to jesus christ.The verses you posted are from Qur'an, Chapter 112:

    Quite true; and that applies to the real world.There is a dogged reluctance to study the basis for terrorism leave alone standing up against it.

     

    people who say terrorism is because of poverty are ignorant or unwilling to accept the fact that a sizeable percentage of terrorists come from well to do families.

    The thought that terrorism has it's roots in religion is an impossible and frightening thing for majority of people; so they try to brush these concerns under the carpet with the standard refrain that terrorists have no religion.

    An interesting bit of accusation of cultural insensitivity. The Babri mosque in Ayodhya suspiciously has the same accusation leveled at it.:ponder: Oh, and I almost forgot, it continues to this day with the Taliban destroying effigees of the Buddha erected during the Ashoka period. Whats with that?!? I'm not saying to drop bombs but still ... Why destroy places of other's worship and erect your own on top? Is that a requirement of the Quran?

     

    Destroying idols and polytheists places of worship is the example set by muhammad.Btw christians are also deemed polytheists because of their worshipping jesus(son of god).There is explicit mention of this(about jesus worship) in quran
