  1. Could you please provide the Place of Birth for husband. Place as Tamilnadu will not work for specifics. Classic72
  2. Well - This is a forum for offering different solutions to their problems based on their Horoscopes - the solutions can be a variety of things. Dear Priknit - I see that your intentions are good and sincere; your thinking is also practical and long term - very positive. You would like to be in relationship with somebody, but hold off the actual marriage so as not to disrupt your studies. Well for strengthening of marital relationships both before and after the wedding - the members are always encouraged to fast on the Upapada lagna days and worship the deities associated with the 2nd house. So you are recommended to post your birth data and then we can give you the specifics about fasting and the worships and the length etc., Hope this answers your question. Classic72
  3. Dear All, I'm not a Moderator or Owner of this forum - just a humble contributor on this forum. During the short period I've been here I've noticed many member's request for help - go unanswered. They usually have to followup their own threads. I feel sympathetic towards such members. In the interest of such member requests - I thought I'd write up a short guide on how to write good requests that will definitely catch more attention of contributors. For members looking for some resolutions to their problems like marriage, career, health etc., Do's 1) Include Date of Birth preferably well qualified like (DD-MON-YYYY) This is so that people following from different parts of the world are still on the same page about the dates. 2) Include a Time of Birth including AM/PM 3) Include a Place of Birth preferably with a Region/State (to avoid using incorrect cities/states) 4) Include Gender (Male/Female) 5) If birth data of two or more people are provided - qualify them as Husband, Wife, Son, Father etc., 6) Include any specific dates or events to help astrologers to cross check and rectify the charts (if required) - This is mostly optional but can be useful. Don'ts 1) Astrologers don't need Names (especially last names) - This way you can protect your privacy on this forum. 2) We also do not need photos or handprints etc., Write a clear description of your problem including the extent and severity of the problem. Use as many words as required without being too lengthy. Description can include some background, current situation and your own perspective of the problem areas. A calm well composed thread will have a better chance of getting good responses rather than short terse ones. Use the PM feature to share any private details or confidential information - rather than share it on the public forum. If possible do include what kind of resolution you are looking for. Most often Contributors have a hard time gauging the severity of the problem based on a short two line description. This forum is an amazing source of both learning and also in resolving queries from members - Has such amazing personalities contributing - just a great experience just being involved in this forum. I'm not sure how long this thread will stay on top - but if members could read this and use it as a guide - More queries would be responded to. Hope this helps With Best Wishes Classic72
  4. Here is an extract from the PDF file published alongwith the MP3s from SJC Boston (PVR Narasimha Raoji's classes) Lesson #32 Compiled by Sourav Chowdhury 1. Puzzle: Male born on August 29, 1958, 11:44 P.M. (5 Hrs West of GMT), Gary, Indiana, USA (87W20’47”, 41N35’36”). [Please note the time zone is 5 hrs west and not 6 hrs west as given in the Jagannatha Hora]. Find from the D-10 his likely career. I would guess that the MP3 Serial # 32 from the website is associated with Michael Jackson - starts off as a puzzle chart and finally the person is revealed. As for the Timezone - I have this vague remembrance that some areas of Indiana have some "anomalies" as far as timezones are concerned like timezones cutting across zipcodes or neighborhoods etc., I would recommend listening to the mp3 and then drawing up the chart to match the ascendant as described in the mp3. Just highlighting the fact that there is a specific mention about the weird timezone. Hope this helps. Please do email me back if you are unable to locate the mp3. Classic72
  5. Dear docgirish78, Take the charts to an astrologer and get them matched for marital compatibility. The matching is performed based on many different criterias and angles. Debilitated Jupiter has nothing to do with this Marital compatibility - So I would recommend you not to base your decisions just on this one planet. Hope this helps. Classic72
  6. My Guru PVR Narasimha Rao has used August 29, 1958, 11:44 P.M. (5 Hrs West of GMT), Gary, Indiana, USA (87W20’47”, 41N35’36”) as the birth data in one of his Jyotisha classes. Based on the class notes and his analysis seemed to fit perfect with his personality. I would highly recommend downloading this mp3 from his website and listening to it. Classic72
  7. Dear Sanwal, I received your recent pm messages. I have been a bit preoccupied with few other personal things. I do understand your anxiety and pain with regard to your husbands career and job in the short term. Please be rest assured that I'll work on this analysis in the next few days and respond to you at the earliest. With Best Wishes. Classic72
  8. Dear Narayan, Born with Scorpio Ascendant and Ketu as the lagna lord placed in the 9th with Moon. You are running the major period of Ketu, who is eclipsing Moon signifying mind and thoughts - indicating some kind of blemish with symptoms in confusion, sense of loss and demoralization. Luckily Ketu period ends in Sep 2009 and start with Venus period. Venus is the 7th lord (and 12th) exalted in the 5th house of intelligence and knowledge, well supported by Jupiter 5th lord in a quadrant from Venus. There are multiple other reasons why there is some sluggishness in your studies - mark the 4th lord Rahu and Saturn in 12th from 4th(3rd house) having a virodhargala on the 4th house - indicating you have push really hard to break this obstruction. Mars as the 6th lord is placed in the 4th house. With the advent of Venus period - you should see a new revival in your studies. Venus is placed in the Navamsa lagna with Ketu in a trine. Jup, Mars in quadrant. Navamsa is quite strong. Going to the question of career in Medicine - I would say that medicine or allied careers is definitely a possibility - Mars as the 6th lord is placed in the 4th house of initial learning. Sun as the 10th lord in Rasi is placed in the 6th house exalted with Mercury in the sign of Mars ( indicating tools, instruments and fire) - Dasamsa has the same Mars in the 10th house in Gemini ( human sign ) and the 10th lord Mercury is in the 2nd house with Jupiter indicating a good source of resources and assets. There are a few other significations as well. Sincere prayers to Devi Mahalakshmi signified by planet Venus here will definitely strengthen Venus and provide good results. With Best Wishes Classic72
  9. Dear Palak, You are currently running period Sat/Ketu - these planets are highly malefic and placed in the 4th house in Rasi chart ( causing major mental turmoil and loss of peace of mind at home), in the 7th from UL (indicating your marriage / wedding ceremony ) - Sat and Ketu are now in opposition to your marriage. Saturn as the lord of the 7th house (in Rasi) is in the 7th from UL - indicates that your partner is now in opposition to this wedding at least for now. I dont there is any wedding ceremony for you in the near future atleast until Aug 2010. Rahu in the UL can indicate some kind of shock or suddenness or even confusion/deceit involved in your wedding ceremony. There are more chances of you being involved in wedding again between Aug 2010 to Oct 2013 during Sat/Venus period. Venus is the UL lord placed in the 7th and Saturn being the 7th lord. Hope this helps Classic72
  10. Dear Narayan, In my reply to your post - I have not taken your stance as being cynical or being too craven careerist or being against marriage as an institution. I fully support your views about your career path - Being ambitious to be a diplomat and following your heart and soul is a noble path - Your folks having different dreams for you is something you have to sort out. My response was mostly based on tying together combinations in a chart to practical ground realities using marriage and success and growth thereafter as an example. In my experience I have personally interacted with people who grew by leaps and bounds immediately after marriage - though the amount of hardwork and perseverance in their line of work was same or even less (after marriage!). Again I'm not pushing any marriage related advice on you now or even for the future - just that there is ample evidence for my reasoning. I would recommend that you pursue what you deeply feel is your ambition; and ensure you work on including others in your conviction; share your dreams with them. As you rightly pointed out - work on the profession excellence and the rest follows. With Best Wishes Classic72
  11. Dear Himanshu, Exalted Venus aspected by Saturn and Mars by both Graha drishti as well as Rasi drishti normally indicates serious relationship problems especially marital. Your experiences associated with marital relationships will be strained and will be a cause for concern. Navamsa has Sat and Sun in the 7th house with Venus in the 6th house Your journey towards getting married may be easy - but holding that marriage intact will be rough. Hope this helps. Classic72
  12. Dear Narayan, In some charts the native may be inclined to put in lots of hard work and perseverance into achieving his goals. A lot of effort is spent in this endeavor. This effort may be successful to some extent in his goals. Now astrologically speaking - say when the 2nd house of assets/resources or 11th house of gains and fructification of desires is associated with the 7th house - then to a new relation or partnership can bring in fresh Resources and also aid in fructification of desires. The houses 3, 7 and 11 are the Kama trikona houses - associated with your drive and courage as the seed of the desire, the sustained fire of desire itself and then the fructification of that desire. Now practically speaking - say a person gets married, has new connections or contacts in life; The native gets a new perspective in his life - an opportunity and ability to solve new problems - A fresh breath of air in his life. At an internal level he does get an opportunity to step back and rethink his life and priorities. There may be financial gains to the native - say at a simplest level - has a wife who is employed and add to his finances, or may be she has a different viewpoint towards life ( different from the native ) and may aid say in his career goals, or financial maturity or simply general goals towards life. For example say a wife that takes good care of his home, his kids, his finances, his chores - brings in a peace of mind at home can be highly beneficial in opening up any blockages / obstructions in his creativity, thinking. These are usually indicated in the Chart itself as to how the spouse interacts with the native, his home etc., I am trying to contrast the value of hardwork and in the value of "stepping back" (marriage is just an example here) BTW: You have a strong rajayoga between Merc, Sun and Mars - Sun, Mars are trinal lords and Mercury is a quadrant lord in the 5th house. Combination of Venus and Merc as lords of 11 and 7 may be why the astrologer indicated about success after marriage. Yogas in the 5th house usually fructify during the middle part of your life. Based on what Ayanamsa we used - Venus is Gandantha on the border between Pisces and Aries. I'm using Venus few arc seconds in Aries. Just a few words on this subject. Classic72
  13. Dear Shashikini, I reviewed your daughters chart. Some pieces of my brief analysis. Lagna has Ketu in it indicating the native have some introvertedness, calmness or shyness - may be mild eccentric/odd behaviour at time - nothing serious. May show shades of religious behaviour - ability to stick to some regimen very easily. Moon - Rahu combination - these two planets are quite close to each - causing the mind to be in confusion and rashness in thought - This is in stark contrast to what Ketu is suggesting being in lagna - so there may be wild swings from one to other. Jup is retrograde in the 3rd house - Jup as a karaka for the fourth house of learning being in his Marana Karaka sthana of 3rd and also being in the 12th from 4th cause strong opposition to the significations of the 4th house matters of learning. Lagna lord Mercury is with Sun (3L) in the 9th - indicating the person is desirous of independent thinking and taking matters into her own hands thru courage, drive and initiative - Jupiter as a benefic in the 3rd house is throwing cold water here. Venus as the lord of the 5th house of knowledge and intelligence is conjoined the 6th lord Mars (bitter enemy) in the 8th house of struggles and obstacles with the 8th lord Sat. This is adding to the strain on the intelligence. Venus being with Mars and Saturn additionally hemmed between Sun and Rahu is causing deep affliction of Venus. Venus needs to be rescued from this curse. With Saturn being the dispositor and also the karaka of the 8th house where the affliction is occurring - Prayers and sincere worship to Vishnu will definitely help in alleviating this problem. The native is currently running Venus dasa/Merc antardasa causing strains on the 4th and 5th houses in the chart. The situation in the Navamsa is also not very helpful with multiple planets in the 6th from the Navamsa lagna - Mars in the 5th and Ketu in the lagna can be tapped into by encouraging the child to take Mathematics and technical subjects. With Best Wishes Classic72
  14. When the time changes to 10:10 GMT - my previous analysis does not hold. The Rasi and Navamsa lagna changes and we need a fresh look at this chart. Regards Classic72
  15. Dear Sanjay, Though we should be able to analyze your chart independently - if possible could you please post your spouse's birth details as well. Thanks Classic72
  16. Dear Sir, I was curious to review the chart based on the birth data. May 13,2005 at 0910hrs in Manchester UK - Ascendant is Gemini. This native may be having some health issues during the first five years or so but all that has passed currently in a new phase ruled by Moon (using Shatabdika dasa since lagna is vargottama). I am thoroughly amazed at the number of planets that are in vargottama including the Ascendant. Sarpa yoga that is broken apart by Moon and Jupiter, Saturn as the AK vargottama in Anantaamsa in the lagna, Moon Saturn combination in the lagna, Pravrajya yoga - the works!! This native has a very strong chart and will go to great heights in the spiritual world. The native is probably reaping the benefits of all good deeds done by the forefathers from ages. I am not fully qualified to give my analysis on this chart, but I would highly recommend referring this chart to a highly qualified astrologers and also seek the advice of Seers in your community for this child. With Best Wishes Classic72
  17. Dear sweety_idiv I would say that the native has quite a few obstructions in the chart causing delay in giving the marital bliss. Though the 7th lord Mercury is well placed in the 7th (retrograde) but he is extremely close with 6th and 11th lord Venus. 6th house has two malefics strengthening the sixth house of celibacy. Upapada lagna in Leo has Moon who is the 12th lord (from UL) and 8th lord from lagna. Rahu in the 12th from UL - outsiders causing interference in getting marital relations finalized. Saturn in the 2nd is also causing sorrow and sadness and withdrawing sustenance. There is also quite a malefic confluence of Jupiter, Mars and Saturn in the 8th house from lagna in Navamsa. This is something to watch out for after the wedding. Not much significance now. The native is currently running Rahu/Jup in Vimshottari - Jupiter who owns a trine from the UL and is the lagna lord can bring about a relationship. Rahu/Jup ends in Sep 2009 and this period has strong potential. The native will most definitely be married before her next birthday Jun 2010. Fasting on Sundays and worshipping Vishnu with Vishnu Sahasranamam on a regular basis will bring about this very soon. With Best Wishes Classic72
  18. Dear Indu, 5th house of Pisces, lord and Karaka for progeny Jupiter is highly afflicted by aspect of Rahu and Saturn. Jupiter is also associated with an exalted Venus - Jupiter's bitter enemy and in this chart lords 7 and 12 a marakasthana and also a dusthana. Exaltation of a dusthana lord in a trine is probably the biggest cause of this issue here. Jupiter is also the lord of A5 (Arudhapada of the 5h) placed in Sagittarius. Presence of 3 malefics in quadrants to the lagna indicate a Sarpa yoga - coiled by a vicious snake, but this can be broken by the strong full Moon placed in the 10th house. You are currently running Rahu dasa/Merc antardasa until Oct 2010. The remedy for progeny is sincere prayers to Durga Devi to reduce the malefic aspects of Saturn and Rahu together. Prayers and worship to strengthen Jupiter by worship of Dattatreya, Dakshinamurthy or any other form of spiritual guru can also improve the chances. Rahu/Ketu period beginning in 2010 Oct and Rahu/Venus period beginning Nov 2011 has good chances of giving progeny. With Best Wishes Classic72
  19. Dear Nitin, Since you are a beginner in astrology - Just to get you started on reviewing this chart - All planets aspect the 7th house from it; Saturn, Mars and Rahu have additional aspects Saturn has 3rd and 10th. Mars has 4th and 8th and Rahu has 2nd, 5th and 9th from itself. Take each planet (Jupiter, Venus, Moon and Mercury) and see how many malefic aspects of Sun, Mars, Saturn and Rahu it is receiving. A quick look at this chart indicates a majority of planets facing this condition. Every planet that is so aspected will be strained and cause ill effects to you. With Best Wishes Classic72
  20. Dear Ravi, Upapada Lagna is very much an integral part of Vedic Astrology talked about by Jaimini and also Parashara. Upapada lagna is the Arudha of the 12th house - tangible manifestation of giving, sharing, compromising, sacrifices - 12th house matters. In marital matters - The Upapada lagna in Rasi signifies the wedding ceremony itself. For a wedding to happen - both sides do bring something to the table for making this marriage to work. There is some giving, sharing, compromising, loss of freedom, etc., Each side now has to work with the other, also share his income and space with the other - for the bigger gain ofcourse. Planets in the UL indicate the circumstances around the wedding ceremony, benefics good, malefics bad. Indicates people who are supporting this wedding. Planets in the 2nd from the UL signify sustenance of the marriage to sustain - these planets can make or break the marriage. Planets in the 7th indicate direct opposition to this wedding - people in the in-laws family who are opposed to this alliance. Planets in the 12th house indicate the secret enemies to this match. The same can be reckoned from the Navamsa chart - indicating the life after the ceremony is completed; the normal day to day living within the marriage. For the understanding the prevailing conditions in marriage - use the 7th house in Navamsa; and see the sustenance (or absence of sustenance) from the 2nd from it. In this chart Rahu and Merc as double malefics have pulled the sustenanace of this marriage + add aspect of Mars on the 7th. For subsequent marriages - use the 8th from the first and continue the same. This rule applies to both UL and also to the 7th house in Rasi and Navamsa. There is a predominance of Jupiterian influence on the native's 2nd marriage. The period of Jup/Moon and Jup/Mars between March 2010 to Jun 2012 is highly favourable. Both these planets are lords of trines to the 2nd UL in Rasi and are well placed. In my previous email - I had written about how badly the 2nd from UL is badly afflicted causing this loss.
  21. Dear gn.prasad, All planet in the 11th house functions quite well irrespective of whether malefic or benefic. 11th house is a upachaya - house of growth and accumulation, house of fructification of desires, gains from an endeavor. Also Saturn in the 11th is probably the best place for Saturn to reside; Saturn brings the element of sorrow, sadness to the house he occupies. In my observation Saturn in the 11th house (of elder siblings) brings sorrow, sadness in that house - Good chance you may be eldest in the family; Sorrow about not having an elder sibling With best wishes. Classic72
  22. I think the original post is about Moola Dasa system and not the Abhukta Moola Dosha (for native's born in Moola nakshatra). I am not an expert in this Moola Dasa system - but Moola dasa is a dasa system based on the Moola (Root cause) of all the events - basically this dasa system relies on your past and present Karma and its manifestation in relation to the events that are happening in the native's life. Basically it tries to explain the life events using the root cause method (karma) as a basis. That is all I know about this. JHora computes Moola dasa and their are good articles about this on the internet. A Great dasa system with fantastic results if we know how to interpret it. Classic72
  23. Dear Ravi, Do you have the approximate date when the native lost his wife. Some month/year should suffice. This'll help us in understanding what exact period caused the spouse's death and go forward from there. In the Rasi chart - Upapada lagna is placed in Leo with Venus as occupant. 2nd house & lord Mercury from UL is quite afflicted with Sun and aspected by Saturn and Mars. Saturn as the Maraka lord for this UL can cause the end of the first marriage. Jup and Venus are in maraka sthanas for the UL1 (Capricorn) in Navamsa. Speculating here - Jup/Venus/Sat period - 2008-06-21 to 2008-11-24 or Jup/Venus/Mer period - 2008-11-24 to 2009-04-08 period I could be way off the mark here. Based on my other analysis - the native has very good chances of a second marriage - I'll post my other findings in another post. Please do let us know and we can analyze this better. Thanks Classic72
  24. Dear Riaz, For Ascendants (Aries,Taurus,Libra and Scorpio) where the lagna lord also own a dusthana, the lagna lord does not become a malefic just because he owns a dusthana. The lagna lord is considered to be a malefic only if he is also posted in a dusthana for these lagna. The lagna lord acts as a dusthana lord more than as a lagna lord (benefic to the lagna). I have seen cases where lagna lord placed in dusthanas for these specific lagnas - The native has acted or taken decisions to his detriment or fall, basically the intelligence of the native is not directed to the betterment and support of the native but to his fall. Now coming to your - Taurus lagna with lagna lord in the 4th - does not fall into this subject - Venus is now a full benefic placed in a inimical house - but in a quadrant. I have not charted your birth data - For the gemstone diamond, reckon the agenda of Venus in the appropriate varga chart (placement, lordship etc.,) and also in the Rasi chart. So if Venus is good in the lagna but owns a dusthana in the dasamsa - wearing a diamond may help the significations of Venus in Rasi; but would also increase the dusthana capabilities in the dasamsa. - Not to mention their may be other "side effects" in other varga charts as well say in Navamsa or Saptamsa etc., Gemstone are always a double edged - so wear it with a full understanding of its agenda and your need. Regards Classic72
  25. Dear All, Awesome subject and also analysis posted by sandhu.jp ji. I'm not sure if "Amateur" and "Manju Mukesh" are discussing the same native - My guess is they are different subjects. Just thought I'd comment on this line from Amateurji "Interestingly, her daughter also has indications in her chart for loosing her father." One thing I have noticed is that when there is death of a native - this death event is linked to every other person's chart - Vividly apparent in the closest relatives like Wife, Son, Daughter etc., a little less in Parents even little in siblings and milder as we move out. Basically a diminishing ripple effect. For example When a family of 4 kids loses a father - the birth chart of the youngest is usually (unjustly) "blamed" for the loss. I strongly dont believe this - the death of the father is indicated in all the kids charts; also showing the extent (in years) to which they'll experience their father - more in the eldest and lowering down. At the instant of death all the kids lost their father. Now in the same example - Though the youngest may have a strong indicator of losing father early, but his experience or sorrow associated with it may be quite less - he may not recollect much of his father; but the eldest may have a milder indications but there may be a higher sorrow factor due to experiencing his father for longer - knowing him better and for longer. Apologies to all for diverting into another topic here. Just thought I'd highlight a small point here. Thanks Classic72
