dear guest, what i understand matches with yours. you gave a very good response. please pick a user name. that helps. narad is a top most bhakti yogi. when he saw the people of the world suffering, he felt compassionate. as a solution to suffering, he gave bhabhavatam katha which he heard from sanat kumras. if a yogi becomes compassionless, as barney says, being close to god, then god also is very compassionless, and we know god loves all. so, essentially a yogi loves all. howevver, if the yogis and swmis just care for themselves and none others, then the people and a nation would not get any benefit from the yogis. a yogi who thinks "this world is dukhalaya and a place of misery, so let me realize god and get out of here. I do not care for others' god realization" are selfish yogis in my view. we need many yogis and swamis who are very compassionate to hinduism, to all but especially to the Hindus, dharma, and the devabhoomi, and God. we need to respect and love yogis and swamis so that they would feel compasionalte to us and help us realize god too. when a society at large becomes dharmic - krishna cnoscious, then the hinduim-malpractice reduces and ultimately stops, we get good/great politicians, educators, police, soldiers, merchants, etc. then we live in peace and happiness not at the cost of others, but by the grace of god. the problems of the nation also go away. the peace i mentioened above is not a warless state where we live like cowards against the aggressors and invaders. we would fight asuras and adharma - happily - as necessary. dear barney, could you agree?

thanks barney, I agree mostly of your above post. we see that you feel good about sai baba. how much he listens you? how many muslims have given up islam under his influence? what effors has me made to unite all the vedic sapradayas against teh common threats of teh orbaiized invaded religions? just putting all the religions' symbols on a sai baba flag, and associating sai baba's names with gods into bhajans cannot help. krishna has shown us by His pastimes what God can do. Playing God is sinful if one is not God. still many hindus do not mind him palying god, but he needs to help to solve the problem. god is for all, and should be willing to communicate with all. sai baba, i hear, is the god of the rich. poor cannnot approach him, cannot talk with him, have no access to him. prabhupada was not god, (henever said he was), but he was accesible by any one, even a street hippie. so was narad. have you met/communicted with sai baba directly? what problem you asked him to solve for you? was it solved? how hard or easy it was to get access to him? could you agree with the hindu-muslim problem solution i mentioned above?

dropping a name sounds a good idea, but it is not. it does not and cannot change the facts, and cannot solve the problems the hindus need to solve. no matter what name you choose to repalce "hindu", you still are a kafir for the muslims. koran is not tolerant of the kafirs. no name change will rectify the history of islam invasions and the fact that many vedic temples are destroyed and mosques are built on top of them. the foolish congress gov. of india tried to not teach the real history of india to the majority hindus, and kept them in ignorance to keep them cool. this cowardice has not helped either. more than half a century after independence, the minority muslims of india have failed to learn to appreciate the tolerance of the majority hindus. now the wise hindus see no good reason to keep the invaded ideology on their land. no aggressor should be allowed to reap the fruits of aggresion. some has said: to tolerate the intolernt is to encourage intolerance. note that still no hindu wants to kill the muslims of india. but they cannot allow islam on the vedic land any more. if millions of hindus accepted islam under the sword of the muslim invader aggressors, then the muslims of india should be able and willing to happily give up islam that was imposed upon their ancestors. also note that the hindus have no desire to force upon them any religion. the muslims who choose to give up islam, are free to remain without a religion or pick any other indegenous locally grown religion of their choice. this is the most peaceful solution for the hindu-muslim problem of india. the hindus do have patience to make this solution work, but there is always a limit. the world needs to understand that non-violence is not an absolute principle in hinduism. sure the hndus did play coward and stupid for so long, but that does not mean they will continue to play cowards always. hindus need work to do, internal and external. uttishhTha, jaagrata, prApya varAnnibodhata

hinduism does not encourage one to mess with nature's work by tempering DNA. however this situation - claim that DNA proves something - is like the blame krishna received for stealing syamantak jewel. now, to see what really is the truth in DNA tests and the conclusions from it, the hindu aacharyas and swamis and sanyasis and preachers need to know DNA science, how scientifically the DNA data was taken and processed, and how the conclusons were made. if they do not do it, then those who claim they know DNA will claim something that may not be true. some scientists could be great DNA scientists/testers, but they may not be great ethically or morally. for material gain, they would say anything, regardless of what the truth is. if DSN test can only show if indians have DNA of europeans. it cannot show wether they came as guests/friends or as invaders. it cannot show where the aryan (vedic) culture grew. note that aryan is not a race. an aryan can be of any race. some 10K years from now some DNA test may show that there were indians in USA. that does not mean indians invaded USA. a shudra historian or a characterless DNS scientist or tester would concoct anything for money or power etc, and pass it on as truth. so, dear hindu preachers (HK's included), please get smart in scientific DNA test methods and conclusion/data evaluaton process.

(of course sata sanga can speed up the progress). a hindu never pushes one in this progress path to god. now here is the problem. whey you advance to certin height, or just stand on a different path, some of a different religon see it as not progress but devil's/kafir's work. your progress and practice is very intolerable by the other ideologies. so, they do everything to stop your progress and try to convert or kill you. you have freedom to progress at you own pace, but that freedom can be take away by the barbarisns who do not know dharam at all. so, now the priority for a vedic person changes simply becaue, you cannot allow any one to take away the freedom you have to do your sadhana. no life or no freedom, no sadhana. no sadhana, no god realization.
