  1. dear hindu, in this times, we hindus have our interests, and we need to unite for it. we do not need to give the enemies reasons to bang on us and hinduism because manusmriti says something. we simply do not follow manusmriti a this time. so why talk about it? it does not help. we need to follow gita very well, to unite and succeed in achieving our hindu goals. the other thing is that according to vedic aacharyas, we need to accept all our scriptuers fully. if we keep on rejecting one part today, then some one else will reject another part tomorrow, and so; and finally we will not have any scriptue for us at all. as an example, one cannot says, "my this hen gives me eggs from the rear but eats my grain from the front. so, i will cut off the front, and just keep the rear." this does not work. manusmriti does have positive things in it, and we need to respect it, and could talk about it too. we are free to apply anything from our the scriptures that solves our problems at a time. besides, manusmriti was never followed strictly as a law book of hinduism just as koran is followed by the muslims. would you agree? no need to argue within.
  2. hindus hardly talk or think of manu smriti. why the non hindus keep talking about it? if you want to know hinduism, know gita.
  3. << i actually practise shamanic trance >> if it is not an islam prctice, then do you think koran and hadith and their followers look at you in friendly manner? i do not think so.
  4. << Many myths holds as many truths as religions. >> this is like saying "Oh sugar is salty, and salt is sweet." Whe you make tea or coffee, pour some salt in it , not sugar. When you feel like driniing orange juice, drink kerosene instead. becaues, some one has a myth that says kerosene is sweet and good to drink. i would not waste more time on this thread.

<< Why is it so important to "prove" the aryan invasion is a myth for the vedic people? Because they want to be somehow superior. >> no. there is truth. and we and the world ought to know it. when you know a truth, and if someone says it differently, you know he is lying. e.g. : if someone says your mother is a prostitute, then you know it is a lie, and you need to speak up. would you prefer to be silent thinking that it is sectarian to prove your mother is a chaste woman? suppose you remain silent. then what your children think of you and their grand mother? would they feel good when they know all others think that your mother was a prostitute? bottom line: the issue is not of establishing superiority. the issue is telling the truth as it is. you need to tell it if it concerns you, defames you or something you love, or degrades you. would you agree? besides, if you are telling the hindus to give up proving AIT is wrong, why not try to tell the world that to stop propagating the lie of AIT? You simply do not want to take that responsibility and want to pass it on as all speculation. vedic words are: satyam vada (tell the truth.) is it a speculation to say "your mother is a chaste woman?"
  6. sikhism is advaita in principle, with kshatriya dharma emphasised. sikhism turned the hindu farmers of the very fertile land - pujnab - into warriors against the islam invaders and any one who does adharma. a sikh guru had a direct vaishnav follower. sikhs and sikh gurus are not vegetarians, but would respect vegetarians (hinduism allows kshatriyas to eat meat.) guru nanak tried to settle hindu-muslim conflct by making sikhism, but it has failed to solve the conflict. now, if all the hindus or most of them or a large portion of them become true sikhs, then islam can easily be taken out of india. sikhs do not recommend moorti pooja. however, they do keep pictures of gurus. they do not do rituals like the hindus. taking advantage of indira gandhi's attack on amritsar temple, pakistan motivated some sikhs to go against the hindus, saying that indira is hindu and hindus do not want sikhs. unfortunately some sikhs believed pak, and still belive - more or less- the pakistanis. so they want a separate khalistan. they hate hindus. many of them are in cananda. a small book - Sikh Gurus - by Duggal is a very good source for info. it would be nice if it could be put on internet.
  7. Aryan invasion was a theory - a fabrication. there is no solid scientific evidence to support it. AIT got a final blow when saraswati river mentioned in the vedas was found - dried up - by the satellite pictures. now, if some one chooses to not to believe it, then he has right to think that way - has right to remain in ignorance, or propagete the false theory still furhter. for dirty political reasons. on the other hand, those who know the truth hve the duty to spread the truth. we do not need - encyclopedia britanica or any such book made by non-hindus or anti hindus. we need vedic encycopedia of our own, made by our own top vedic swamis and scholars. then we can refer to it when some one lies.
  8. << every human can achieve yogi abilities >> yes. the processes of achieving are given in the vedic literture and in gita. those who grow in the islam culture and learn from koran and hadith do not care about yogic abilities. to them anyone practicing any yoga is a kafir that they must convert to islam or kill. now if you like yoga, then is it not a problem to you? BTW, do you practice any yoga, or just talk about it?
  9. << I'm sorry, but I'm just looking for arguments AGAINST the Aryan Invasion theory. I'm just posting whatever arguments were made for the AIT so I can understand the points of rebuttal to them. I don't believe in AIT nor do I want to believe it. But I'd like to think I have an open mind, and I just want to understand the points for and against the Aryan Invasion theory. >> this is like saying: "i do not belive the sun rises in any other direction that the east, but i am open minded and want to see the arguments about whether the sun rises in the east or west or any other direction." what purpose does it serve? whan you know the truth, why not share it? why not act according to it? are you so bored that you waste your and others time in debating something that does not need to be debated?
  10. << You can wake a person who is asleep. But you cannot wake one who is acting to be asleep. >> true. we need to discuss how to wake the sleeping hindus, and then do it. now, i am interested to know, why any hindu would pretened to be sleeping when he is awake? what interest is served by acting like that?
  11. A Muslim, this is a kafir forum. what you do here? what you like about kafir Book - gita? What is good about 1000 years of islamis' barbaric invasions in india?
  12. sarva dharmAn parityAjya mAm ekam sharaNam vraja aham tvAm sarva pApebhyo mokshayishyAmi mA sucha this is the most confidential word of krishna to His devotee and friend. you may one that you may like, just read gita. another word of His is: kshipram bhavati dharmAtma svachchhanti nigachchati kaunteya pratijAni hi na me bhakta praNashyati what a rock solid asssurance from the Lord Himself!
  13. truth does not speak for itself. truth is there open or concealed, but silent. it requires consciousness - pure - to know the truth. then after that consciousness can reveal the truth to others. a truth can be seen differently by differet people. this is maya. truth is one. lies can be infinite. one truth does not negate other truth. a lie will negate other lie. truth does not solve our problems by itself. when we know the truth and act accordingly /appropriate to the truth and our interests, then we can solve our problems. hope it helps. historians must be lovers of truth and tellers of truth. unfortunatley, many times it is not so. instead, what they do is destroy /bury truths and fabricate history themselves. many barbarians destroy archeological and other truth telling evidences of other cultures. islam always has done it. still is doing it. suras need their own historians and might to protect that truths telling artifacts from the barbarians. or better, they destroy the barbaric ideology.

    Siddhis

siddhis are the by-products of your closeness to/realization of god. if you go after siddhis only, you will not get god. it is ultimately god who gives one supernatural powers. then such powers need to be sued for god only. om mani padma om is a mantra for the buddhists.
  15. is it not better than the xians not accepting krishna and spending bilions to convert hindus?
  16. have the humans on earth solved their problems, and so have time for exploring mars?
  17. this is not true, but is very humorous. are you a hindu?
  18. most films are made not by vaishnavas. htey care less about what tey make - good or bad. when vaishnavas or suras generally sensor the films, even before it is made, then we will get KC films. this is one reason devotes do not watch movies. they do satsanga instead. yA nishA sarva bhUtAnAm tasyAm jAgarti sanyami yasyAm jagrati bhUtAni sA nishA pashyato mune
  19. read gita. it says it indirectly.
  20. please expand - make it easy to understand your point. else my response may go on tangent. pick a user name please.
  21. You will not find any one on this earth identifying himself as gandharva. the vedic literature, e.g. mahabharat, has stories that talk about gandharvas. they are alians superior to humans per the vedic literature, but lower than devas. a gandharva arrested duryodhan once. and yudhisthir freed duryodhan from him. generally, the entertainers - dancers, musicians, etc. - are called gandharvas. how the info about gandharvas would help you please?
  22. there is s story in bhagavatam that say that in the itme of krishns tere was an imposter krishna of god. krishna exposed it. in india there are a few "walking god supreme"s. and no one challenges any one else.
  23. sindoor (mercury oxide) is also applied to hanuman and devis.

<< They are all one and the same. >> If "they" means devas and devis, then krishna says in gita that he is not a deva or dev. he says 'aham aadir hi devaanaam". If "they" means all the hindus, then yes, all different hindus ae same - followers of the vedas. their sadhana and ista devataa may differ.
