2. That would mean that karma never ends, that we never escape the wheel of samsara; if karma begets karma always. Some actions do not produce bondage but liberation from bondage.
3. The God experience changes, transforms every future moment. Just existing becomes an overwhelming joy.

So I decided I would find the book. Two days later at the George Harrison concert a Prabhupada devotee, glorious Krishna Katha dasa approached me as I entered Maple Leaf Gardens: "I would like to give you this book". And of course, the book he wanted me to have was the Bhagavad-gita As It Is. From that moment, the rest has been the path of the miraculous - undeniable at each and every step, yes, yes, yes.

6. If someone implanted a listening device in my head I would go to the Mounties. Wouldn't you? It seems like a crime to me.
7. Don, we don't have time to sort through tons of pages. It's about Krsna - not your feelings. Can't you just say it. It's like before - the presentation (and lack of presentation) screams insanity. Like are THEY really bugging your teeth - are you that big a threat to the man. If so, forget the man, remember Krsna and stop wasting your life.
8. I hated seeing that drivel about Srila Prabhupada on our forum. Any idiot with a website gets play time --- not in my world.
9. It is said that a pure devotee purifies the atmosphere. This has got to help.
10. 16And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 20The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. 22But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. 23Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 24And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
11. http://vedabase.net/sb/8/22/16/en SB 6.12.13p Therefore, why does the living entity, against his will, receive such unwanted troubles? It is due to the mercy or chastisement of the Supreme Personality of Godhead that one gains or loses everything material. No one is independent; everyone is dependent on the mercy or chastisement of the Supreme Lord. There is a common saying in Bengal that the Lord has ten hands. This means that He has control everywhere--in the eight directions and up and down. If He wants to take everything away from us with His ten hands, we cannot protect anything with our two hands. Similarly, if He wants to bestow benedictions upon us with His ten hands, we cannot factually receive them all with our two hands; in other words, the benedictions exceed our ambitions. The conclusion is that even though we do not wish to be separated from our possessions, sometimes the Lord forcibly takes them from us; and sometimes He showers such benedictions upon us that we are unable to receive them all. Therefore either in opulence or in distress we are not independent; everything is dependent on the sweet will of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Morning Walk Mumbai'74 PrabhupAda: No, no. No, KRSNa says in the BhAgavata, yasyAham anugRhNAmi hariSye tad-dhanaM zanaiH, that "This is my mercy. The first test is that I take away everything, what he possesses." Dr. Patel: (Hindi) PrabhupAda: No, therefore people do not like to become VaiSNava, actually. YasyAham anughRNAmi. That is the first installment of his mercy. YasyAham anughRNAmi hariSye... You know this. It was questioned by MahArAja YudhiSThira. Dr. Patel: Yes, I have gone through this. PrabhupAda: Yes. [break] ...a little doubtful that KRSNa is the LakSmI-pati, NArAyaNa, and those who are devotees of KRSNa, they become poorer. And Lord Siva, who has no even a residential house, he lives under the tree, and the devotees of Lord Siva they become opulent. So what is the reason? So this was questioned by MahArAja Yudhisthira to KRSNa. So KRSNa first answered that yasyaham anughrnami harisye tad-dhanam sanaiH: "This is the first installment of My mercy." [break] Morning Walk Denver'75 Yadubara: Sometimes it is stated that KRSNa will take everything away from the devotee. PrabhupAda: That is special favor, (laughter) that "This rascal is again attached. Take all his..." That is special favor. That is not ordinary favor, so that when everything is taken away, he will completely surrender to KRSNa, "KRSNa, I have nothing except You." tumi binA ke Ache Amara "I have nothing." That is very good. http://vedabase.net/sb/10/88/8/en
12. ..... defeated by some brainless arrogant clerk in the government. The lion pays no heed to the barking of the jackals. It's tough being surrounded by idiots, but that is Kali-yuga. We didn't get the big religious persecution payout with its life of leisure. But that wasn't the goal. Don't join the morons - they have no right to any opinion.
13. Upload it here. Enjoy it there. Anything that reminds you of Krsna is good - smells, tastes, sounds, memories and sights like that. Orchestrate your environment with incense offered to Krsna, kirtana sounds, pictures, books, prasada, so when the senses wander they will find Krsna and focus on the eternal again. These are the two pictures that live in my mind:

14. I'd like to see this group find a music contest or similar venue (battle of the bands) to demonstrate the beauty of kirtana to the outside hungry world. In 74, George Harrison brought about dozen mrdanga players and Ravi Shankara with his tour to Toronto. It was received well.
15. We all have our heartaches - mine in Govinda's restaurant in November 77 when Gaudiya das told me that Srila Prabhupada had left us. No one will ever be the same. We all deal with it as best we can, some ritvik, some renegade, drowning in our tears. Stand and fight, O Mighty-armed.
16. Eroticism pertains to the temporary body. Cultivate the soul and such temporary desires will fall away over time. All the senses loosen then lose their grasp on us. Stop scratching and eventually the itch will go away - not unlike a mosquito bite.
17. I remember reading that jivas who are blades of grass or trees or animals in the Kingdom of God must come to earth to change their rasa to assume a different role in the Kingdom. I can't find that reference but this is perhaps meaningful to the discussion: CC Madhya 19.154p: Goloka VRndAvana is the highest planet in the spiritual world. In order to go to the spiritual world after penetrating the covering of the material universe, one must penetrate Brahma-loka, the spiritual effulgence. Then one can come to the Goloka VRndAvana planet. There are also other planets in the spiritual world, called VaikuNTha planets, and on these planets Lord NArAyaNa is worshiped with awe and veneration. On these planets zAnta-rasa is prevalent, and some of the devotees are also connected with the Supreme Personality of Godhead in dAsya-rasa, the mellow of servitorship. As far as the mellow of fraternity is concerned, in VaikuNTha this rasa is represented by gaurava-sakhya, friendship in awe and veneration. The other fraternity rasa, exhibited as vizrambha (friendship in equality), is found in the Goloka VRndAvana planet. Above that is service to the Lord in vAtsalya-rasa (parental love), and above all is the relationship with the Lord in the mAdhurya-rasa (conjugal love). These five rasas are fully exhibited in the spiritual world in one's relationship with the Lord. Therefore in the spiritual world the bhakti creeper finds its resting place at the lotus feet of KRSNa.
18. I don't think I've ever heard either the fall-scenario or the daydream-fall-no-fall-scenario presume to trivialize the position of the gopis or the gopas in this way. Such a lack of integrity always hurts whatever position we are attached to. One lie is enough to alert the reader to the fact that these words are not sponsored by Paramatma - as does the sarcasm and cynicism that so often fouls the heated poles of the great debate of the Age. It is not us and them; it is us and us. From that vantage, adrenalin will not cloud the intelligence.
19. Indeed. We are all on Death Row. We were all bitten by the poisonous viper. It is time to get our act together - time to claim our birthright in the Kingdom of God. Sac-cid-ananda and nothing less.
20. Gambling increases our attachment to what happens in the material sphere. Will it be snake eyes or seven? Will go up or down? I think this is the bottom line about gambling.
21. And yet that little sparrow was ready to drain the ocean with her tiny beak, one drop at a time. She could do nothing else, because her heart forced her despite her utter helplessness.
22. This is the higher understanding. There is a fault in our heart. Sri Krsna is so kind that He arranges a little training session in maya to correct the flaw. His agent Ahankara comes and puts us through our paces and we eventually correct the flaw. It is all Krsna's mercy; even this trivial existence of nonsense and frivolity, pain and pleasure is His mercy. We have a very dear friend in Lord Sri Krsna.
23. Surely Ahankara is not the real cause?
