  1. The Jains practice what you speak of.. There is even a sect that does its best to even not stand on instects and walk with a light broom to brush them away.. I believe they are very compassionate however I find them a bit extreme.. People cannot attain enlighenment unless they are a monk or nun.. SO they prepare themselves to be reborn as one if they cant be one in this life. I find the Jains fascinating but Hinduism is my love..

  2. I guess when you pray to God and it comes true it isnt considered magic.. In Christianity.. But If you are dabbling with things like the Golden Dawn and Speaking with spirits.. Astral Projection, White or Black Magic like with Wiccans and Druid and Shamans.. It is all consdiered sinful..

  3. I play roleplaying games.. Ive been thinking how I can incorporate Krishna Consciousness in a game but it is VERY hard to do and have ppl interested.. at least as a rpg.. However I think as a video game it could be done.. You have your starting devotee character and he / she runs around helping people.. and you learn diff skills apply that to spreading KC.. I would be glad to help discuss with someone about trying to do such a game. I'm skilled in creating settings and the number crunching involved in games and I'm skilled at "story telling" being a Roleplayer and all.. If we communicate enough and find some programmers.. I think we could come up with something.

  4. What are these? sannyasis and brahmacaris are they certain states of Devotion? Is there names for those who are pure dovetees and those who are completely new to all this?? I'm trying to learn all of this but I keep running into terminology I dont understand.. I find myself with a dictionary and a online dictionary just to study this religion.

  5. Galatians chapter 5 of the Bible lists and defines what is the Holy Spirit. That being "Love, Joy, Peace, Kindness, Goodness, Patience, Gentleness, Trustfullness and Self Control." My question being is there a similar definition within the BG or other Hindu source??

  6. Pentacostal Christians roll around on the floor laughing hystericaly jumping up and down praising their god.. It really isnt any different.. This Indian Christian is quite ignorant to make such claims as this kind of practice being pathetic!

don't know if anyone has heard of Ravi Zacharias. He is an Indian Christian evangelist. I was clicking thru the channels today, and saw him on a Christian show called LIFE TODAY with James Robison. It is an internationally broadcast show, watched by millions of Christians around the world.

Anyway, on the show, Ravi was telling about growing up in India.. he started telling a story about a sadhu that lived in his village/town groing up who use to roll around in the street yelling "Govinda! Govinda! Govinda!".. he said this was really pathetic and sad to watch, and it "scared" him as a kid. He informed the Christian audience that Govinda is a "Hindu god" and it breaks his heart that people like that man roll around in the street crying out to a Hindu god, when the true God came as Christ, to die for their sins, so they don't have to wallow in the street.

Man, watching this really made me sad, to see Lord Krsna belittled as some false god, and devotees made to look like pathetic fools, rolling in the streets, praying to some god that does not exist. Sadly, most Christians have never heard anything about Govinda/Krishna, so they will take this Indian converts word, that Hindus are primitive fools, who worship non-existant gods because we are not fortunate enough to have learned about the Christian god.

It breaks my heart to see Sri Krishna belittled on national tv. I pray devotees will one day have the money to start our own tv show, where Lord Krishna can be glorified!

  7.

Jesus never used the word Christian. Christ consciousness is infact non-denominational and pre-Christian. Jesus was not even the first Messiah. Horus, Mithra, Quezacotal all were Messianic figures who started mystical sects before Jesus. The Jesus revelation was a continuation of the pre-Christian Mystery Tradition.

The sects of "Christianity" that are comparable to Vedic sects, do not preach like the Protestant/Catholic churches, with all their hellfire and damnation, and Jesus is the Only Way talk. The mystical Christians speak about the Pre-existence of the Soul, and reincarnation as part of the soul's development on the Path of the Overcomer... They also do not teach the Trinity doctrine. They realize Jesus as either a nitya-siddha (eternally liberated), or someone who reached Messianic consciouness, to show us the Way to Nirvikalpi Samadhi (God consciousness).

Here are 2 esoteric Christian groups:

    rosicrucian.com

    sophian.org

There is a big difference in understanding between esoteric Christians and the Romanized Christians.

There are a lot of conflicts between Hare Krishnas and orthodox Christians. And the more fundamentalists consider Hare Krishnas in their midst to be "wolves in sheep's clothing". I can't tell you how many times I've been told I am going to burn in hell and need to repent, because I follow the Bhagavad Gita's teachings or whatever. However, you will NOT hear that rhetoric from the Sophians or the esoteric sects. So if you are looking for "Christ-ian fellowship", and for the deeper spiritual perspective of Christ's teachings, you might check out an esoteric sect to study with. Just a suggestion. :)

Thank you.. that was a good reply..

  8. I wrote this in my journal.. for those who dont know me.. I am diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia and yes I'm seeing people for it.. I state this because I talk about my disease in this post...

This is what I wrote tonight :

So I went back to Church.. while I was there I dealt with the voices... Trying to scare me into Christianity because they used to rule me in desperate fear when I was a Christain so many years ago. I would not tolerate it any longer and began my self made meditation. I live in 2 worlds one reality and the other a overlapping Illusory reality.. Phantoms from the Illusory reality flew out from the Pastor trying to condemn me. I focused on my love of the Holy Spirit and they could not deter me from me peace.. Afterwards I discovered I could love Krishna and Christ together for I worship the Holy Spirit within them..

The Holy Spirit is the Key.. Jesus claimed that God the Father was greater than himself yet he also declared that the sins against the Son and the Father can be forgiven.. but.. Sins against the Holy Spirit cannot be forgiven.. Therefore the Spirit is the GREATEST of the Three

  9. I went to Chrurch today.. I'm not exactly sure why.. A friend invited me and I had moved back to an area where I once was Christian.. I left Christianity many years ago.. I have learned ALOT by being a Buddhist and now I'm into Krishna. When I found Krishna (or did he find me?) I felt this amazing uncondtional love... I spoke to a guy on wednesday and he told me about how Christ was his experience with Uncondtional love.. I told him I never got that from Christ but from Krishna.. He said then Krishna is where I should stay.. I tend to judge things by the definition of the Holy Spirit: Love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, Trustfulness, Self control..

I find that Krishna fits perectly in that definition.. I thought to myself.. Well Jesus does match with the Holy Spirit as well.. I thought about the similarities.. The Holiness of both Jesus and Krishna.. Tonight while at Church I felt a peace I had not felt in a long time.. Because of my faith in the Holy Spirit.. I found that I could worship Christ... And I could Worship Krishna because both in my eyes posses the Holy Spirit. I felt like I was free because I finaly found truth..

Unfortunatly I just cant let the Christians know of my love for Krishna.. The next thing I would know is them all preaching at me about how I am a devil worshiper.

Is it wrong for me to do this? I didnt want to make such a desicion without getting advice first...

  10. Tonight while watching a movie I found myself chanting "Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare"

I wasnt even putting any kind of effort it just happened.. I was watching the movie and I noticed I was chanting.. I was like "woe.. Where did that come from?"

I was wondering if this means anything? Is it a sign of something or is it a common thing?
