Where do you get off accusing someone as being an atheist? And even if this person is an atheist, so what? That is between them and God. It strikes me as an honest and natural question. Dear guest, I only understand it from a very simplifed viewpoint. We, the conscious beings, are composed of spiritual energy. By constitution we are eternal and individual in nature. Presently we have directed our consciousness into a dream like state which is composed of material energy which manfests in gross and subtler states. What we call the subtle body is composed of mind, intelligence and false ego. This takes a certain form depending on its state at any one time. The grosser body develops around the subtle body's form that it held at the moment of death for our last gross body. The subtle body remains with us from gross body to gross body, but changing form along the journey. This is called reincarnation. Kinda like going from one dream body to the next. This process of experiencing one dream after another is ended when we the soul wake up to our eternal nature and function as loving servants of God. We the souls, have a choice of living in this dream state or in the awakened state. That awakened state is called Krishna Consciousness. So there is us, the soul. Around the soul is the subtle body. Around the soul and the mind there is the gross or physical body composed of the transformed food we take in and metabolize. Not so exaggerated. 10 or 15 years ago there was this famous TV evangelist would did something similar. Its the guy who built himself a huge "prayer tower". Very famous character. Anyway he said that God had told him that if his followers didn't send in 14 million dollars by some specific date then God was going to kill him and take him to heaven. LOL So God was holding this con man preacher in the prayer tower as a hostage for 14 million dollars. hahaha. Soooo funny. People are so stupid and emotionally dependant on these frauds that they sent in the extra money. So God let him live here instead of taking him to heaven, which apparently people took as a threat they had to save their preacher from. All these years and I still can't believe it.

I think you have exposed a 'weakness'in this parampara's metaphysics concerning the mind. That is a good thing as it will make people become more aware of the subject. But we should take into consideration that many advanced devotees have the eyes fixed elsewhere. As they contemplate Krsna-lila more and more they seem to lose interest in the details of this subject which fascinates us. The Theosophical Society seems to have broken the subtle body down quite extensively but I don't know how reliable their conclusions are as their conclusions are impersonal. I hope you also keep the topic going on this board as well. Hare Krsna

That is it in a nut shell. It's a personal relationship arranged by Krsna... That is a complete statement and our whimsical particpation is not needed and is interference only. Now certainly the GBC has managerial responsibities and the right to determine if such a relation can be furthered within their organization. It is their so-called sanction and continued control over the relationship that I object to. As far as hearing Supersoul all I am saying is that the aspirant should be directed from day one to pray to the Lord in the heart for guidance. Why? Because all guidance comes from him already. It is just a conscious recognition on the part of the aspirant. We can't even strike a letter on our keyboards without the sanction of Paramatma. Nor can anyone understand anything from the shastra concerning who is guru but by the grace of Supersoul. He doesn't need a committee to tell Him who is a qualified teacher and who is a qualified sincere student. Or how to bring them together. It doesn't matter if someone can hear Him in their heart or not. He is still directing. Even the atheist making nuclear bombs gets his direction from the Lord in the heart so why would He neglect connecting a sincere student to a qualified teacher? Now its ask the GBC who is qualified and not the Paramatma. No thanks.
