  1. Well he has a UK e-mail.I'm starting to think he is a disciple of Vipramukya from Chakra, who is also the pres. at Bhaktivedanta Manor-UK.
  2. Yes they are good physicians. But don't ignore the special immigration laws that allow them to stay on in the USA after interning at a local hospital if they agree to set up practice in a low income area that American physicians won't work in.Too low pay. This works out great for the USA, but is a drain on the countries the immigrants have come from. They study in India and elsewhere and then leave depriving their past country of their valuable skills. By the way are you guys twins?
  3. This is a good site for diabetes care.It may apply. http://www.healthwell.com/healthnotes/Concern/Diabetes_3.cfm Personaly I think my sugar levels rose 50 points just thinking about that saffron pudding.Must be careful.
  4. Oh, i forgot the important part. This devotee had tattoos of Krishna on his body so Sridhar supposedly said you can't burn it.I don't know. ps I claim slepp deprivation for my posting errors today. What is tacs?
  5. Okay a couple of days, but don't forget and leave us hangin'. I seem to remember hearing of some devotee leaving his body in India and Sridhar Maharaja saying his body should not be burned but set a drift in the Ganga. Please note how I am not sure of this story.I don't want to commit a 'Sridhar said'.
  6. hey livingentity, This clerk at this herb shop I shop at has these two tattoo's on his forhead. They are kind of beige, off white in color.I said oh you have conch shells on your head.He said no they are horns.Sure enough a couple of curly ram horns. Maybe the Pacha-tattva mantra in sanskrit or something. Vaisnavas maked their bodies with God's names. But then ink ain't chandan or could it be as it becomes the name?I don't know, that's why I'm askin'. Anyway what's the scoop randOM. 10. I recently received as a present a Ratha Yatra t-shirt 2000 from one of the managers at new Jagannatha Temple.I really like wearing it, but take it off when I enter the bathroom.I still don't know if that is necessary or just my compulsiveness. I also feel compelled to wash it with shirts only.No socks other underwear etc. I love seeing some of the pictures on the shirts some devotees wear at kirtanas though. I don't know. And then there are tattoos.I have wanted a KC tattoo for twenty years or more, but feel it might be an offense or something somehow. What is the scoop on tats?
  11. I knew Chakradari. We used to have wrestling matches.I still remember the shock of reading about his death in Monkey on a Stick. "The horrorthe horror".
  12. Spot on bro. I was seeing a difference of opinion on some subjects and started thinking it was becoming an objective site. I never considered that on some subjects this might be true but on others not. Missing this I got the impression that the devotee community at large was starting to accept this homosex crap. Thanks for posting those notes from com. The greatest enemies are found within.Within ourselves individualy and within any movement as well. Price of freedom is eternal vigilance.Who said that?randOM knows I bet.
  13. Janet Waco[Reno] to run for Florida governership. This baby burner just won't go away.
  14. We have his books and lectures etc.So we can cross check with what is written.Anyting else is faulty. The best example I can think of is Prabhupada wrote that Acarya is self-effugent,but some thought they heard him appoint them guru in contradiction to this. I can't trust my own senses nor my own motivations.Best to stick with his recorded instructions. Now how to keep those from being adulterated. YS MS
  15. Is this it? Letter to: Kirtanananda -- Mayapur 14 June, 1973 73-06-14 New Vrndavana My dear Kirtanananda Maharaja, Please accept my blessings. I am in due receipt of your letter dated June 6, 1973 and have noted the contents with great care and concern. The deities may be immediately repaired and worshiped. Now we must take precaution as you have suggested. You may get some guns and some of the boys may be trained as ksatriyas. Such gun shots could have taken place long ago since we are challenging everybody. So we must be prepared to fight. We cannot stop this movement. It is actually a fight against Maya. So Maya may also sometimes cause casualties in our camp. So, we must only thank Krsna and seriously dedicate everything for Him. So, you are Kirtanananda Maharaja, take pleasure in performing kirtana. That is our real weapon against Maya. I am very pleased that the corner stone function was nicely done and successful. Continue the work enthusiastically. Thank you very much for the check for $200. I am slowly regaining my health. It is now the rainy season here and accordingly the digestive process is slowed down. Therefore the rainy season means slow recovery. I was just thinking of you and wondering why I hadn't heard from you in a long time. You'll be pleased to know that your assistant Srutakirti is here. He's feeling all right. This boy appears to be a very sincere devotee. Upon your recommendation I am pleased to accept the devotees you have recommended for first and second initiation. You may chant on the beads of the first initiates and I am enclosing six sanctified sacred threads for the second initiates. Play the tape of me reciting gayatri mantra into the right ear of the brahmanas. The names of the first initiates are: Jim Hessler--Krpacarya das; Jack Mower--Kasyapa das; Chuck St. Dennis--Cakradhari. Hoping this meets you in good health. Your ever well wisher, A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami P.S. On top of the towers on the temple, you should make Visnu's colus (or cakra) and a flag. 16. Hey how about a bowl for Bhakta Shakta.I think he needs some sweetening up tonight.
  17. No need to speculate on what Srila Prabhupada thought when we have his words. From a Sunday feast lecture LA May 21, 1972: So formerly, the king was controlled by saintly persons, by priestly order. They would give the king advice. The Vedic society is divided into four classes of men. It is confirmed in the Bhagavad-gétä, cätur-varëyaà mayä såñöaà guëa-karma-vibhägaçaù [bg. 4.13]. According to quality and work, there are four divisions of men: The brähmaëa, the intelligent class of men; the kñatriyas, the administrative class of men, the martial class of men; and the vaiçyas, the productive class of men; and the çüdras, the worker class of men. That is still existing in a different name, but the difficulty is, the classification is not made according to quality and work. That was the actual position of classification. Nowadays, a çüdra is on the government. A person who is a nonsense number one, he has no knowledge, he is on the head of the government. The things have been topsy-turvied. A person on religious category, he’s advocating something, oh, it is not to be uttered. Homosex. You see? He’s advocating homosex. Just see. These has been topsy-turvied.
  18. Amara, you don't want to accept what Srila Prabhupada actually said about the subject, which is on tape and in print, yet you posted some rumor about what he may or may not have said as a kind of proof for your position. Do you see the folly of that approach?
  19. Wow! Thanks living entity.What a photo!
  20. Why don't the advocates for accepting homosexuality into Lord Caitanya's movement[which of course is not really possible]deal with the actual words of Srila Prabhupada on this subject. TRANSLATION SB 3.20.26 Lord Brahmä, approaching the Lord, addressed Him thus: My Lord, please protect me from these sinful demons, who were created by me under Your order. They are infuriated by an appetite for sex and have come to attack me. PURPORT It appears here that the homosexual appetite of males for each other is created in this episode of the creation of the demons by Brahmä. In other words, the homosexual appetite of a man for another man is demoniac and is not for any sane male in the ordinary course of life.
  21. Popular opinion polls taken in Kali-yuga. If that doesn't prove a point I don't know what could.Well I guess ya' got us there.LOL Where's the poll on if drug use and meat eatting are popular amongst the young in this age and so-called culture. I'm just old fashioned I guess. But your true colors[lavender] are becoming more clear as you speak Amara.
  22. Sorry I hit the reply w/ quote instead of edit for the previous post which caused a duplication. [This message has been edited by Maitreya (edited 09-01-2001).]
