One thing that I want to mention for the benefit of any who are less familiar that may be reading, is that Srila Prabhupada only accepted spiritsouls as disciples. The various bodily designations are superfical at best.I can understand the curiousity, but thinking he may have had a preference is like thinking he only appreciated the sincerity of those in white coats. Actually I am afraid what is happening is that some homosexuals are trying to condition the minds of the other devotees on this issue.This is the same conditioning program that has been going on for decades in the general populace and now they are trying it in Lord Caitanya's movement. Obviously Lord Caitanya's movement is open to everybody.But we have to drop our designations along the way. My hetero promiscuous sex life didn't fit with Krishna's definition of sex life that is not contray to religious principles.It doesn't mix with Lord Caitanya's movement. Neither does homosex.And as far as the loving partner crap goes,that is just an emotional problem that will be cured in time by the Maha-mantra.Until then please keep it to yourselves. Couple months back I was chanting japa by Tulasi's greenhouse.Another temple guest struck up a conversation.Right off he told me he was a prophet.I thought "Oh no, just one more crazy person.." The he said,"You know I really like these Krishna people,except they are putting God in a coffin."I asked him to explain, and he pointed to the dumpster and said,'They are putting Him in there by the ton. Krishna=prasadam Dumpster=coffin "Hmmm....maybe not such a crazy fellow afterall." I don't know why that is.The cooks at this temple are really good and I always clean my plate.

TRANSLATION Cc Adi 3.18 “These liberations are sarsti [achieving opulences equal to those of the Lord], sarupya [having a form the same as the Lord’s], samipya [living as a personal associate of the Lord] and salokya [living on a Vaikuntha planet]. Devotees never accept sayujya, however, since that is oneness with Brahman. PURPORT Those engaged in devotional service according to the ritualistic principles mentioned in the scriptures attain these different kinds of liberation. But although such devotees can attain sarsti, sarupya, samipya and salokya, they are not concerned with these liberations, for such devotees are satisfied only in rendering transcendental loving service to the Lord. The fifth kind of liberation, sayujya, is never accepted even by devotees who perform only ritualistic worship. To attain sayujya, or merging into the Brahman effulgence of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is the aspiration of the impersonalists. A devotee never cares for sayujya liberation.

And I am the basis of the impersonal Brahman, which is immortal, imperishable and eternal and is the constitutional position of ultimate happiness.Bg 14.27 The jiva can merge or not merge.And as we see from the above verse Krishna is beyond 'That', being the basis of it.

Of course sayujya-mukti is available since time immemorable.But one who accepts it as the goal will not be able to develop Krishna-prema. One can appreciate the glorious nature of the Brahman effulgence without merging into it. But one cannot merge into it and appreciate or taste Krishna-prema. Therefore mayavada philosophy is poisonous to the devotional creeper.

Yeah randOM for sure.Sometimes at a Sunday feast or some program I here people complain that there isn't enough prasadam preps, like"Where are the samosas" etc. but who themselves never come by early to help out. We need to learn the difference between chaya-namabhasa and pratimba-abhasa.Chaya-namabhasa or svarupa-namabhasa is the partial infiltration of the Holy Name,as if sunlight has penetrated through clouds. "Pratimba-abhasa appears when the rays of the holy name reflect off the lake of mayavadi thought, bequeathing sayujya-mukti upon the mayavadis who chant it.However this will fail to generate the quintessence of chanting: Krishna-preme." Sri Harinama Cintamani ch 3. The sayujya-mukti is the poisonous effect. I am not sure what Melvin is raving about, so I can't comment. Without going there and downloading the audio I presume you are speaking of; as far as possible hearing from non-devotees should be avoided as milk touched by the lips of a serpent have poisonous effects.[paraphrased] The effects are poisonous.Where does it say the Names Themselves become poisonous? I as a materialist don't chant yet the Names of Krishna.Hearing from my lips and hearing from a devotees lips will not produce the same result. Perhaps someone well versed in the Harinamcintamini will step in at this point.
