1. I've been watching this thread every moment for two months now, afraid that someone will just write a bunch of posts and claim the winner's trophy. Maybe I'm the only one who thought of that? But I know there's someone out there watching me every moment to be sure I don't get away with it. How paranoid can they get?
2. Finally got a title: http://myspace.com/garystevason Should write itself, I think.
3. Attachment. It is easier to thread a camel though the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God. We're just too busy eating the fruit of the tree.
4. "Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name". Seems to me that is the heaven, the Kingdom of God. BUT, they have fallen from the path. They fail to follow the instruction.
5. MAlatI: SwamijI, I don't understand when you say that you worship KRSNa or ViSNu. I don't understand if KRSNa is ViSNu or ViSNu is KRSNa. PrabhupAda: Yes. KRSNa... There are several categories of living entities. KRSNa is also living entity. ViSNu is also living entity. You are also living entity. Lord Siva is also living entity. Every one of us. But there are categories. Just like in your Montreal city, there are hundreds of millions of people. But someone's status is higher than the others. Similarly, KRSNa is the original living entity. Govindam Adi-puruSam. Adi-puruSam means original. And from Him everything has expanded. Eko bahu zyAma. He has expanded Himself in many. So some of them are in the ViSNu category. The ViSNu category means they are almost equal to KRSNa. It is estimated the ViSNu categories, They have ninety-four percent opulence of KRSNa. And the next category is Siva category. The Siva category has eighty-four percent of all the opulence of KRSNa. And the next category is BrahmA category, BrahmA. BrahmA category means living entities, when they are perfect, they can obtain seventy-eight percent of the opulence of KRSNa. So KRSNa is cent percent, ViSNu or NArAyaNa is ninety-four percent, Lord Siva is eighty-four percent, and we, in our perfection, we are seventy-eight percent. Is that clear? http://vedabase.net/sb/1/3/28/en http://vedabase.net/sb/4/1/15/en http://vedabase.net/nod/21/en
6. Say this and the cords of subtle enslavement will vanish: "Nityananda-Gauranga". Never will you be affected again.
7. The brazen British gave the word "idol" to India to ridicule its people and religion. Stop the stupidity now. Use the word "Deity" and do so with utmost respect. The British were never your superiors, only your conquerors, no different than the barbarian hordes of Mongolia, Hitler, and every other blood-thirsty thief that has disgraced this planet.
8. It would seem that we know neither Jesus nor his teachings. It would be better to stick to what you know, than to appear so foolish and insincere. What did Jesus teach? Will I place a jewel on the head of a cobra? I think not. It is better you remain so obviously ignorant as to never fool anyone.
9. Of course, this thread was designed as an aparadha thread from the beginning. It must take great arrogance to hide such stupidity from us. When are we going to grow up? When will we ever get beyond the words? It is so sad that the world sees Vaisnavism this way, with our Sunnis and Shiias, and our Catholics and Protestants. Stupidity is found abound in the ranks of the poseurs everywhere. Wear your shame and adrenalin with disgrace, as you rob the world of His Grace.
10. " 99% of all Christians, Jews and Moslems are impersonalists" More lies. Same liar? Why should we listen further?
11. Do we really think that quarreling about religion can purify our tendency toward quarrel and hypocrisy? We seem almost unashamed to bicker and dicker about the unknowable. Do we think it is some kind of purification process? Maybe it is? Disgusting though it be.
12. Truth is, we've got to put it all together to get the truth. We either handle the paradoxes with Krsna's grace or we lose. Stay humble and patient, and let the mercy come your way.
13. That just ain't so. You'll only make the Christians laugh. And rightly so.
14. Each author carries a spamming-potential-probability-rating and is read with corresponfing caution or not read at all according to past performance. Once they are banned from my consciousness, I notice they end up leaving here, one way or another. But not before they've dragged a few innocents down with them. Most victims, however, manage to fight their way back to the Path after a time.
15. It is the siksa forum, the bhagavat forum. It is here but we read selective posts, ommitting the aparadha and false ego crowing - separating the milk from the chalf.
16. "I am your Father. You are My son". "They have fallen from the Path". "Remember Me and I will take you to Krsna. You will be with Me when you are not attached'.
17. Seems ritvik is all you're qualified to speak about after all. My apologies.
18. BG Intro The Lord is very kind to the living entities because they are His sons. Lord KRSNa declares in Bhagavad-gItA, sarva-yoniSu. .. ahaM bIja-pradaH pitA: "I am the father of all." Of course there are all types of living entities according to their various karmas, but here the Lord claims that He is the father of all of them. BG 3.24 The Lord is the father of all living entities, and if the living entities are misguided, indirectly the responsibility goes to the Lord. Therefore, whenever there is general disregard of regulative principles, the Lord Himself descends and corrects the society. BG 6.29 In the smRti this is confirmed as follows: AtatatvAc ca mAtRtvAc ca AtmA hi paramo hariH. The Lord, being the source of all beings, is like the mother and the maintainer. As the mother is neutral to all different kinds of children, the supreme father (or mother) is also. Consequently the Supersoul is always in every living being. BG 7.15 n fact, SrI KRSNa is said to be not only the father of BrahmA but also the father of all species of life. He is the root of the impersonal Brahman and ParamAtmA; the Supersoul in every entity is His plenary portion. He is the fountainhead of everything, and everyone is advised to surrender unto His lotus feet. BG 7.21 As the supreme father of all living entities, He does not interfere with their independence, but gives all facilities so that they can fulfill their material desires. Some may ask why the all-powerful God gives facilities to the living entities for enjoying this material world and so lets them fall into the trap of the illusory energy. BG 9.10 KRSNa also states in Bhagavad-gItA that of all of the living entities in different forms and species, "I am the father." The father gives seeds to the womb of the mother for the child, and similarly the Supreme Lord by His mere glance injects all the living entities into the womb of material nature, and they come out in their different forms and species, according to their last desires and activities. BG 9.17 I am the father of this universe, the mother, the support and the grandsire. I am the object of knowledge, the purifier and the syllable oM. I am also the Rg, the SAma and the Yajur Vedas. BG 9.18 And since KRSNa is the source of our generation, or the supreme father, no one can be a better friend than KRSNa, nor can anyone be a better well-wisher. KRSNa is the original source of creation and the ultimate rest after annihilation. KRSNa is therefore the eternal cause of all causes. BG 10.15 Yet many liberated persons cannot understand KRSNa as PuruSottama, the Supreme Person. Therefore Arjuna addresses Him as PuruSottama. Yet one still may not understand that KRSNa is the father of all living entities. Therefore Arjuna addresses Him as BhUta-bhAvana. And if one comes to know Him as the father of all the living entities, still one may not know Him as the supreme controller; therefore He is addressed here as BhUteza, the supreme controller of everyone. And even if one knows KRSNa as the supreme controller of all living entities, still one may not know that He is the origin of all the demigods; therefore He is addressed herein as Devadeva, the worshipful God of all demigods. And even if one knows Him as the worshipful God of all demigods, one may not know that He is the supreme proprietor of everything; therefore He is addressed as Jagatpati. Thus the truth about KRSNa is established in this verse by the realization of Arjuna, and we should follow in the footsteps of Arjuna to understand KRSNa as He is. BG 11.43 You are the father of this complete cosmic manifestation, of the moving and the nonmoving. You are its worshipable chief, the supreme spiritual master. No one is equal to You, nor can anyone be one with You. How then could there be anyone greater than You within the three worlds, O Lord of immeasurable power?
19. That from someone who talks only of institutions.

This is a real motivation to live in the transcendental world, always. There this apparently violent drama will seem meaningless. Even just adding the night stars to your world view makes this world's ups and down seem trivial. Keep your perspective and you'll get by all this nonsense.
21. The truth is that although we may seem to decide who is or is not a real sadhu, it is also true that if we dismiss or disrespect a real sadhu we dismiss or disrespect Krsna. Ultimately the mind and senses, things of maya cannot determine who is sadhu. It's not a game or a mechanical staircase. It is love of God that is the vehicle to perfection. Fall in love and let that consume our being. Therein lies the secret, the path to the Kingdom of love, the Kingdom of Sri Krsna. He will manage the sanga, the environment, the mind and senses. This was quoted earlier: "if one becomes a sincere devotee and seriously engages in devotional service, Lord Krsna sends an instructing spiritual master to show him favor and invoke his dormant propensity for serving the Supreme".
22. NARA NARAYAN DAS VISWAKARMA is not the rasika guru Srila Narayana Maharaja.
23. I had encouraged a co-worker to read Siddhartha. As we pulled it up from the net, I read aloud the first paragraph. When I reached Siddhartha's friend's name, it was my "Govinda" I said. My friend's face glowed and he smiled. And I knew that this is how the sankirtana movement is spread.
24. 02/25/77 Trivikrama: He has brought you one Chinese script. Hari-zauri: What does it say? Devotee (3): This is Chinese character scroll. It says, "Books are the basis, preaching is the essence, utility is the principle, and purity is the force." It was translated wholly by myself, and the characters were written by... PrabhupAda: Is that all right? Devotee (5): I can read, but I don't write. Ah... That's not purity. It should be... It's not so exact. PrabhupAda: What did he say in the trans...? Devotee (5): It's cleanliness rather than purity. Bali-mardana: He has translated purity as "cleanliness," not quite exact.
