wow Priita ji you have become my internet siksa guru. The thing is the guy comes to the temple all the time and just gives me the evil eye. Every moment he gets a chance he would stare at me and then ofcourse pay respects to Lord Shiva, Ganesh and Parvati dieties(he is not one of our hare krsna's he just crazy) and then when he is done he would continue to stare at me. This started a while back for no reason. I mean he has a wife too and a child, whats so hot about me? well if you had a look at his wife then you would understand why he keeps looking at me. I mean compare to his wife I am Cindy Crawford or in Hindi movie terms Ashwarya Rai!! Lol. There are times I wanna knock his head in. I think he is already suffered enough though. WHen I move out of my house and when my wife comes there is no where he is talking to her. I am keepin her away.

I am not trying to judge prabhu. If I did I my mind would be so clouded that I woudnt be able to chant and do service. I was just annoyed by some peoples mentality thats all.

THis was talking about living in a temple...I misunderstood. Yeah I woudnt live in a temple because the lifestyle is to rigouras(sp) for me. I have lived our temple in vancouver a few years ago and although it was blast i coudnt do it again.

But she basically just said "you will fail at all of this, you watch, as god(pointing at the alter which had multiple gods, so I am wondering which god is her witness but....) is my witness...... Well getting a job, even though telemarketing is sure a sign of things that are not going completly bad for me. I dont think from the tone of her voice it sounded like she wanted the best for her child. Some parents are crazy

Thank you Pritha ji. Ofcourse obviously I dont have the ability to chant 24/7 but I am dedicated to krsna and wish to not go anywhere else or anyone else for shelter. Reading Narayana Kavacha sounds like something I would do. Two weeks ago a Prabhupad disciple said that he was going to give me the prayers to Lord Narshimadev(narshima kavacha I think)so I dont have any family obligations or soemthing. I also sleep under the poster of Narshimadev. The reason why I think I was cursed was my dad and mom wanted me to do soemthing for them and when I tried to tell my mom about how I feel betrayed and what I did for them she didnt take it to lightly. She got angry and was in complete denial. My father as well didnt care. They didnt want to hear what I had to say. Its like I dont have any feelings. Man I am trying not to cry right now. So I just said remember the time this was all about to start I said we would all suffer, well we are arent we and things are gonna get worse. She just started yelling, it will get bad for you, you will fail at school, you wont succeed, you wont get anywhere, you wont find a job(ofcourse which is odd because I finally got a job today at telemarketing about an hour later lol) you wont be happy(ofcourse she is saying all this as she is sitting beside her alter and I thought to myself thats what karma kanda does to you, there is no bhakti so krsna doesnt allow you the intelligence to understand) So I just said when we have krsna nothing can happen and she just said none of your japa counts or anything. Now I just said hey its krsna's mercy. Try to understand and ofcourse there was nothing but a yelling spree. So I just left for school and got my self a temperary job. Its like I dont have any feelings. Man I am trying not to cry right now. I hope that made sense to you.

I would go nuts. I love going to the temple. If politics and issues arise so what? I need to see Sri Sri Radha Madhan Mohan and Prabhupad. Sure you can have them in your home but the thing is that there is nothing like association with the devotees even if they are a little bit cooky. Thats what makes the experiance fun for me. When my wife comes here, we will build our life around the temple and spiritual atmosphere Hare krsna

Guest you are tottaly right. We dont have to go to the temple, however I never said we had to go to the temple. My comment was that we SHOULD(meaing free will to go or not)go to the temple as going to a holy place brings inspiration and such you cannot attain from home. Atleast I cant. I understand your points and I know that there are a few that fall in that catogary. Now I am not in complete denial of this. All I wish to say is that look for those that inspire you. I have found all the devotees in the vancouver temple to be inspiring. I think for me I look beyond the faults because every living being has faults, this is kali yuga remember. Just look at how they serve krsna and if they treat you a little bit bad, consider it krsna's mercy. I have had devotees get upset at me or chastise me, I didnt get upset as I realised they are giving me constructive critizm. Every human being has four defects. Propensity to cheat others and to be cheated Imperfect senses Being in Illusion and telling lies. Nobody is free from that, but the devotees of the lord who are dedicating their life to krsna we must realise maya is attacking them much harder and sometimes these show more then people outside. I would take shelter of them and their chastitizment without a second thought.

that Krsna was cursed by mother Gandhari but that was a pastime and I am certainly not krsna so maybe I can really get cursed. Is there anything I can do to stop the curse or rely on my guru maharajs mercy and krsnas holy name?

However is it wrong if a guest comes to your house and dishonors your wife or has done in the past to kick in straight in the mouth? I mean what if he just comes to annoy me? Hare Krsna everyone. I am curious about something. Can a devotee be cursed by anyone? I mean if someone out of lack of knowledge, or anger or miscomunication or hate or lack of respect or thinks themselves to be right even though they are wrong curse a devotee? I think I might have been cursed today, should I worry? I mean I do think that the holy name will protect you but I know I dont chant properly and such but do I seriously have anything to worry about? Any curse experts out there? Hare Krsna

Thank you for clearing things up Ghari. You are right, Prabhupad, Lord Caitanya and the Acaryas have given to us what is important. Atleast to us. I guess it all depends on how much you want to surrender to krsna. All these other yoga paths seem hard and very difficult to achieve. If you want to do other things then all the rest of the yogas are available. just my thought Hare Krsna

I have a question regarding the statement of "a guest is as good as god" Now a lot of indian people say this but is this confirmed in Vedic culture or literature? I hope you guys understnad my question. I mean I ask this because sometimes people who come to my house are anything but godlike. I mean just today someone came into my house and it was someone who started the rumor about my wife and I didnt greet him so he said "I am a guest and in our culture guest is god" Ofcourse I just said "if you can prove it to me then I will accept it. So can the vedas confirm or deny this? Does anyone know? will there be a lot of replies? Will people stop coming to my house? Hare Krsna
