the guest who denounces your culture and sampradaya and considers krsna to be an impersonal object cannot be considered god right???? I mean how can he be god if he has a form since he himself says god doesnt have a form...interesting isnt it. Priitaa and thiest I think you guys are aweseme. You guys have the strength and knowledge to defeat these guys. I follow in your footsteps I am not so intelligent. I am still learning. You guys think its bad that I am initiated but dont know the scriptures to well? I mean I know the basics and I can quote some stuff in english but i dont know much vedic verses. I think Prabhupad is very happy with the service you are doing. We must keep the integrity of ISKCON intact even with this "hindu" iskcon haters because even though they claim to be all cultured and what not they lack the devotion to krsna to understand what iskcon is about. Ofcourse when there are westerners teaching them what their culture is really about then they must find faults right? I wish to learn more. Hare Krsna

I thought there would be more. either way I am thankful and I am wondering can you give me vedic verses proclaiming what happens to someone who commits vaisnava aparadha or nam aparadha or when and how devotees should defend other devotees or krsna or the holy names etc That would be great, the more the better.

I am not a verses guy prabhu. I am sure there are plenty of verses that talk about that though. I mean Prahalad Maharaj kept krsna in the centre, Prabhupad always kept krsna in the centre, Radharani kept krsna in the centre. Now I am sure there are some verses there but I am talking about devotion and common sense right. For a devotee i think its common sense to keep krsna in the centre. I do really think that I should read more and memorise some verses. Hare Krsna

Well, inlight of these recent events in my life I think I have managed to keep krsna in the centre. I finally understood I wasnt in control of anything and ofcourse neither were the people who thought they were in control. Of course they still think they are in control when its actually Krsna who is the controller. Thats what happens when you dont keep krsna in the centre. I have always kept krsna in the centre and did things in a manner that is best in serving krsna's desire which is to use everything in his service. Sure some might say "God(krsna)helps those who help them selves" So we should help ourselves towards krsna. When we forget krsna and just go for immidiate sense gratification without realising that what I am doing is for my own sense gratification and not serving krsna then we will suffer. So yeah, then krsna helps those who get caught helping themselves. We dont even think abou krsna when we are about to do our nonsense but once the remifications occur all we do is ask krsna for help. If only we had asked krsna first to begin with. For sure I understand that we will "suffer" even though krsna is in the centre but that suffering is a purification process of all the past karma that we have commited. Just like the fan analagy. By keeping krsna in the centre we are turning off our fans but once the plug is pulled the momemtum slows the fan down to a stop, it doesnt stop right away. So krsna is helping us pull the plugs of millions of fans when we surrender unto him. If we keep trying to gratify our senses without the thought about the consequences then as krsna pulls the plugs we keep putting the plugs back in. So whatever we do if we dont keep krsna in the centre and dont realise that because of our imperfect senses we will do what is eventually going to make us suffer we will never be able to progress, then yes Krsna will help us when we are caught helping ourselves. marriage is about accepting and not about expecting. Just keep doing your vaisnava duty, be a good husband, dont be a preacher and show by example how this has made you happy etc. She needs a companion, she doesnt need someone to badger her all the time, if she wanted that then she would go back to her father. Be her husband and love and respect her. Remember, marriage is about accepting and not expecting. Leave the results to krsna.

What makes it so funny is how clearly honest her story is. She's wrong about one thing--20 beads on the mala--but the rest is so right that you know she actually ironed this character's dhoti before class one day so he wouldn't be "the "bad bhakta." I recommend this story to anyone who needs a chuckle. ........ When we do go by our scriptures, we should understand that if we go by it, then we go by it fully. All the incarnations are mentioned in the scriptures and SSB is not one of them, thats a FACT!, SSB's parents are not mentioned, his place of birth not mentioned, his pedophile activities are not mentioned........ You forgot to mention the fact that his afro isnt mentioned either. thank you for the advice. I should be more subtle. I think I am quite passionate if you will about this subject its because of my situation thats all. Although I do wish to say that you are right. We dont know what her mother's intention is but she should not stop her from progressing towards krsna. Sure it shoudnt be in a fanatical way and her behavior should be addressed but if her mother has "other plans" for her as most indian peoeple do because of the modes of maya then she could suffer. Just chant hare krsna and associate with devotees near your temple. Seek advice from Krsna and Prabhupad. Hare Krsna

Hare Krsna everyone. I have a couple of curious questions or comments....I think. My comment is about the word Krsna commonly used in iskcon and the word Krishna which is commonly used by the rest of the world. Why is this so? I thing that it was originaly Krsna and the British changed it to Krishna because they coudnt pronounce it. Just like they changed mumbai to bombay and such. Any comments on this. Also I see many Indians when Kirtan is happening they often sing along and devotees wait until the kirtan leader stops to sing. I find the singing along with the kirtan leader to be quiter rude as its like if I am talking and you start talking as well. Plus its Hearing and THEN Chanting. I think Swaranam, Kirtanam, etc etc etc or however that quote goes. So, Chant Hare KRSNA and hear and then chant Haridham

.... and try to be in peace with your mother, she's one of your spiritual masters not one of the "karmis" Well if her mother is one of her spiritual masters then her duty is to show her krsna. That is the duty of the Guru. Just because someone gave birth to you doesnt mean they are qualified to be a parent or a guru. She is taking her away from krsna so I dont see any guru like qualities. Although in one sense her objection makes you hanker for krsna even more so she is doing something good. Yes the best advice is to chant Hare Krsna. Nothing Higher then the mahamatra.

When you dont know about krsna then other things become your goal, from sucking on goats blood to growing your nails. Definatly not Satvagun People need to chant Hare Krsna instead of some guy who thinks he has been possessed by Kali. Like she doesnt have anything better to do.

From most of the posts I have seen from the past I have noticed some lively conversations. Many are accusations, some are misinterpetations, misconceptions and such, however I have noticed that everytime these arise the local batch of devotees have defeated them all. This is the power of Prabhupads books. They are so spiritualy powerful that some of the questions that I have seen posted here personaly it would take me a great deal of reading to answer but the devotees here totally have Srila Prabhupads mercy by them. The power is in his books and you must read his books to defeat them. So many challenges I have seen, so many accusations, misunderstanding, misconceptions which show that people are suffering without the knowledge of Prabhupads books. Without his books people would still be suffering so much, still be in the bodily concept of life, ofcourse From crazy fantatical people or just some "hindu" I think using this site and the internet for krsna's service is the best service we can do. Ofcourse there are a few stubborn ones who wont accept defeat and believe whatever they want but if you read Prabhupads books then things are much clearer. Prabhupad is Sastra Personified and his books are his words which will live on forever. None of this I am this, I am that nonsense. We can believe whatever we want but if we dont follow the sastra or use them to back it up then there is no use. Hare Krsna Just a thought I had. Hare Krsna
