  3. I understand your frustration and the anger associated with it. Do you know about the two types of faith, raganuga and vaidhi? There is much I would like to discuss with you, but this is not a suitable place. You are welcome to Email me confidentially if you can reveal more about yourself personally, to which I will reply in kind. amanpeter@hotmail.com valaya RR [This message has been edited by valaya (edited 10-19-2001).] [This message has been edited by jndas (edited 10-19-2001).]
  4. Satyaraja prabhu, I am obviously not as knowledgeable in these matters as you are, at least scripturally. Something permanent happened to me as described briefly in my previous post. Make of it what you will or just dump on me as so many others have. It is my life, after all, for better or for worse. I'm simply sorry that my experience appears to be only beneficial for me and that I'm unable to be of any real service to others whose painful situation is becoming more and more apparent to me. There is little chance of anyone changing whatever realized faith I may have at this point and in fact others only seem to strengthen it, making me increasingly grateful for the shelter I've been given. I'm certain that everything will be worked out in time quite naturally by His Divine Grace, although many more incarnations will probably be necessary due to my deeply fallen condition and adamantly stubborn nature. I have no desire to create new worlds or gather others anyway, except to bring them into that Divine Grace whom I know as Sri Radha. As far as I'm concerned, I belong to Her alone, but who knows what the future will bring? Thank you for your concern. valaya RR
  5. The Christian bible states succinctly, "Ask and ye shall receive, Knock and the door will be opened unto thee." In my complete desperation I asked every diety in the temple room over and over again, including Srila Prabhupada. It was Srimati Radharani whose door was opened. Still I attribute that to His Divine Grace as the transparent via-medium. My faith was in Divine Grace as God's love ever since I can remember, but it finally came to focus exclusively on Radhika. Major life-changing realizations occured through Her which also made me aware of Her position as Swamini-Kishori and Her influence throughout my life, including the time before hearing of Sri Radha through Srila Prabhupada. Certainly some moksha has been attained solely by Divine Grace, but surely much is yet to come. Those who have known me closely though, before and after, can confirm the extensive changes with that experience about ten years ago. valaya RR [This message has been edited by valaya (edited 10-19-2001).]

Surely this is not what Srila Prabhupada expects from his initiated disciples as his living legacy. No wonder so many have rejected the entire parampara that he appeared in. valaya RR p.s. 7. Such is the heart of a so-called devotee...thanks for sharing! valaya RR p.s. Her name is spelled Radharani.
  8. ...and if you don't surrender Bin Laden to us immediately, we will take all your women and send them to universities in America before returning them!
  9. Your present position is perfectly clear, Satyaraja prabhu, however that does not mean we all must accept it any more than that of others here. My own belief is simply that God can be and do anything in any way, shape or form He chooses to without any limitation whatsoever, including shastra and even Satyaraja. I see a vast difference between religion and relationship, as well. The connection with Srimati Radharani completely transcends all limitations, as does She Herself. Ultimately, our acceptance must therefore depend on Her personal revelation which results in life-changing realizations. If you wish to categorize me I cannot prevent it, nor is it my wish to merely proselytize here. My aspiration is only to be of service. Hopefully a few will appreciate what is being offered. Some say that the means and the end are the same and I'm afraid that the means you're employing in your own `search` will ultimately prove to be your end... valaya RR
  10. A cultural dispute was behind a violent attack on an 84-year-old woman who was stabbed repeatedly in her home. The victim was with a man telling her his view on the role of women. Armed with two knives, he knocked her to the floor, stabbing her three times in the abdomen and chest. Karim Amirali Mawani, 39, is charged with aggravated assault, robbery and having weapons dangerous to the public peace. (from Toronto, Canada)
  11. Wrong, Jijaji prabhu, not just fault-finders, but envious fault-finders! Ignorance packaged as bliss and presented with self-righteous virtue...back to the beads, Melvin! valaya RR [This message has been edited by valaya (edited 10-18-2001).]
  12. What value is our `faith` if it is other, or less, than this? would it not then be actually acting against our best interests? Thank you Brahma das prabhu! valaya RR
  13. So many interests, so little time...HARIBOL!
  14. Hari is simultaneously one and different (acintya-bhedabheda), or would you deny Him that? Similarly Radha-Krsna is one, though separated for the purpose of lila. We are also one in Hari, although differing from Him and each other. That difference is expressed through Hara/Radha. Thus our connection to Hari/Krsna is through Her, personally or impersonally. Hare Krsna! Hare Krsna! Since Lord Caitanya appeared in Her mood, service to Him is accepted as service to Her. That most intimate personal relationship with the Absolute as the personification of Divine Love, compassion, mercy and devotional service Herself has thus been made freely available to all who wish to accept this rare gift. Lord Caitanya is revealed by Nityananda Prabhu and Srimati Radharani will then reveal Herself if the intense desire is there and we are ready to forsake everything else, including intimacy with Sri Krsna. Obviously, Satyaraja prabhu, you are becoming increasingly expert in examining the `differences` and what God is not. Searching for oneness is far more difficult and, I believe, more worthy of your undeniably extensive efforts. Choice is always there for all of us. Faith is certainly necessary, but it must be focused. By loving One we can come to love everyone, if our Love is real. As we both seem to agree, that requires His Divine Grace. JAI GAURANGA! JAI GAURANGI! valaya RR [This message has been edited by valaya (edited 10-18-2001).]
  15. Sorry, didn't transfer properly from my other post, but I've corrected it now.
  16. Excert from a lecture by Srila Narayana Maharaja entitled "The `extra` month of Purusottama", received as Hari-katha Email: valaya RR (Please note that this is only a small part of the talk and that bold/italic lettering was done by me) [This message has been edited by valaya (edited 10-18-2001).]
  17. If you would care to share exactly what this means to you, prabhu, and how you are practically following it, there might be more encouraging and helpful responses here. Then again, speaking from personal experience, exposing one's own shortcomings may simply allow others even less realized to attack you incessantly. Perhaps this forum `billboard` is more useful as a virtual-wall to post graffiti on, expressing our frustrations by taking them out on mostly anonymous others...what a shame! valaya RR [This message has been edited by valaya (edited 10-18-2001).]
  18. Duty should not be misconstrued as spiritual, neither can religion be considered personal relationship. Both can become impediments if the Absolute Truth has not been fully realized in the heart through Divine Grace. Unfortunately, partial realization is often mistaken as complete and religions, movements, etc. develop their own momentum, losing touch with their original spiritual impetus. In spite of so many paramparas, the Supreme must continue returning again and again Himself, in order to re-establish the `principles of religion`. In other words, everything deteriorates eventually in the material world. Our only firm foundation is in connection with that same Supreme through His Divine Grace, personally or impersonally. valaya RR
  19. Yes, prabhu, that is only a small sample of Canadian thinking, a peculiar mixture of moral superiority and wilful ignorance. Now that I see you're interested, perhaps I'll pass on a few more examples. Many in this country actually believe that we're protected by God due to our inherent goodness in relation to those nasty militaristic Americans to the south, thereby conveniently evading the responsibility of sharing in our own defence. GOD BLESS AMERICA! Without her, where would the world be?

  21. When Srila Gurudev is thinking himself to be the absolute least, lower than a `worm in stool`, without any love for Krsna whatsoever, how can his sincere disciple possibly consider himself/herself as anything more? How much different would our relationships be if we all had this perspective? How naturally encouraging we would be to each other! Prabhupada wanted us to actually see others as prabhu, did he not, therefore always automatically offering respects to everyone everywhere? Only from that firm foundation can we ever hope to chant the Holy Names continuously...and that, prabhus, is surely the bottom line if we are to actually become devotees rather than simply thinking of ourselves as such. valaya RR [This message has been edited by valaya (edited 10-15-2001).]
  22. Dear Leyh, believe me I'm well aware of that biblical quote! I cling to anything that might help me see my wretched life in some positive way and possibly salvage something of value from the wreckage. Unfortunately, when I attempt to share my experiences on these forums (Dharma-mela, VNN, Audarya Fellowship) most of the response is extremely discouraging. Please Email me personally: amanpeter@hotmail.com valaya RR
  23. I have three different anti-virus scanners installed on this computer, but after `scanning carefully` I still was unable to locate this elusive `mayavadi` virus. Of course, being the cautious fellow I am and always eager to follow the advice of advanced devotees on this forum, I immediately called the manufacturers. Don't worry, prabhus! They have issued a world-wide emergency bulletin and assure me that technicians are giving this the highest possible priority attention. With recent terrorist activity and all, we just can't be too careful these days...HARIBOL! valaya RR
  24. I'm simply amazed that this thread has not received even one reply after four days! Just think for a moment of the other subjects discussed instead... Does this sweet post from atma prabhu not inspire any personal feelings/realizations at all from any of the devotees here, or is everyone simply reluctant/fearful to reveal themselves? Of course, I have plenty to share, although I'm not an initiated devotee myself and, quite frankly, am tired of taking so much flak or just plain being ignored by the esteemed vaisnavas present on this forum. I may be foolhardy, but I'm certainly not a masochist! Anyway, thanks atma, but you might have included your own personal thoughts, etc. along with the nectar from Srila Prabhupada. I'm always ready to break the ice by exposing myself more personally, prabhus, but I can't keep hoping others will be encouraged to come out of hiding as well. Not that I blame you after my own experiences here... valaya RR [This message has been edited by valaya (edited 10-13-2001).]
