Dear Passionate Freak, It is true that there is a possibility that the person will not experience anything while his kundalini being awakened. However it cannot remain that way for long. Some time in its further development some super normal experience is bound to happen. Otherwise what is the point of beliving that the kundalini is awakened - if nothing happens ? Kundalini is the basis of spiritual/ religious knowledge. It should lead to a mystical experience - of knowing god or Bhraman. If that wisedom does not come, then kundalini has not awakened. I know a certain cult organization whose members are in thousands, all believing their kundalini is awakened by their guru just by a touch and they even claim their kundalini has reached their third eye centre that too in the first day of their initiation. On the top of it all we learn that there are many certified teachers in this organization - not just the original guru- who could awaken kundalini ( to the eye brow centre). You know it is no joke to activate the third eve centre , for that matter any yogic centre isint it? While these cult members go on believing their kundalini has reached their ajna centre we find absolutily no evidence whatsoever for this claim - no siddhis and no wisdom in them. No change in their life styles even. Many are having routine sex life. Besides they all remaine as ordinary and as stupid as before. Once I asked one of the members how does he know his kundalini is awakened. He told me that when his guru touched him he felt a gas moving up his spins making a sound of a gas leak like 'pusss- pusss' . But for this nothing happens. In the absence of any genune symptoms of kundalini awakening stated in yogic texts, I tend to think that this is a con job. Is int it? Regards K.Ravindran

Dear Passionate Freak, I agree with you on the guru being origin. I am only reacting to the notion of a Physical guru. The internal guru is not my conception (and hence my confusion) It is the conception of tantric texts. While an external guru is emphasised in tantric system true guru's feet is supposed to be present in the gurumandala in the place above ajna, internally. When this mandala is activated the person is guided internally in the spiritual path. Every body is supposed to be possessing this center, but in an inactive state -much like kundalini. Indian yoga and tantra sastra holds that guru , Kundalini, and God are present in every body and is the birth right of every body - not a few peolple's exclusive previlege - though many will not use these birth rights. The vedic position is that every Jeevatman ( the emptical self ) is paramatman or Bhraman ( the God). Hence , since we are all gods , we are all cabable of knowing it. Realization is every body's birth right. Since we are all God, we have omnicience in us some where conceled. All spiritual knowledge is with in us , hidden. This is the meaning that the guru is inside us. Of course not everyone can easily assess the spiritual knowledge inside us, and an average person needs to seek external teacher who has found out this truth from with in. It is easy that way. If not pointed out by a realised person many die with out ever realising one is actually Bhraman, though this knowledge is all the time there within them. Regards, K.Ravindran

Dear gramo, While I empathise with your trouble and suffering, I do not aggree with your theory - of elevating evil forces much above their actual positions .That sort of belief is in contradiction to the true notion of God. God is the highest power and no evil power can with stand the presence of god - to think other wise is ignorance. However we do come accross many such ignorant people who believe that even god cannot do any thing to certain powerful evil spirits. There is a very simple way to drive away the evil possession - ( or even control them to your whime and fancy if you like. ) This simple method is to invite god to your heart. - Where god lives devil cannot and they automatically take to flight the moment you let god 'possess' you. Or if you like, you can command any devil as per your whim and fancy if you have god with in you, just by using gods name. The method is that simple. I am writing this - let mke once again reitrate and reasure - not out of just my own theorization , but out of two sourses of evidences : (1) from the writings of the greatest tantric siddhas dealing with devil control technology , and (2) from actual successful spirit driving practices that I witnessed. As to the first kind if evidence, I shall offer the writing of the Great Jewish Magi ( Magician) Abramelin. He had many ghosts and spirits serving for him. His instruction to his son, written in the form of a book by name "The Book of the Sacret Magic" contains how to obtain and control any ghost, The essential theory is as simple as I stated before. - Worship god - the only one god. - that is, the suprime god. Then invoke His name to conjure up and control any spirit. The spirit will have no choice but to obey you if you invoke gods name. God's name has that power. Insidently, Jesus Cryst - the greatest of the healers- drove away all the spirits of possessed people by this method. He din't use yantra , mantra and tantra of some complicated form , you see. I have a few practical evidence too for this . The simpleton I quoted in my last post who drove out the spirit , used this method. You see, it works actually. I have witnessed other successful exorsists using this method. Some of them used rictuals of course but up on inquiry thet said that the complicated rictuals are ploys they employed to provake faith in the clients. Of course this simple technique is not that simple for most of us - and in fact most difficult for most of us including me. Because we are not simpletons to believe anything , just on faith basis. Our modern education makes us all very rational and secptic. We lost simplicity of faith. It is very difficult for us to simply believe in God . We need rational proof and evidences for his existence. And we cannot believe that his simple name could work miracles - we need mysterious looking mantras intricate yantras and complicated rictuals . All this is sign of our lack of faith in God. God cannot be proved by reason and by emprical evidences - this makes the task of pure bakti difficult for us and we cannot invite God in to our hearts. This is the problem . Otherwise ghost possession is not a problem at all. We are making it out to be a tough problem (Of course it is a tough problem for one who cannot have faith in god) , out of propotion. We give too much importance to the ghosts who are actually very pety forces in the order of creation. We only give them the power. The theory that I am proposing here is not just my speculation and opinion. I once again reiterate that this is what I learn from the grant adepts in the realm of ghost possession and control science. And I have seen it working in practice too. Not just good stuff to read alone ( I dont write stories, Gramo) We are familior with the common reaction of people that certain ideals - whenever recommended - are rejected on the ground that they are easy to preach, and talk, but impossible to practice. Take for example Jesus or even Gandhi. Peope usually react " I am not Ghandi , I am an ordinary man". This only means that the person is unwilling to practice the ideal - not that it is imposible. Gandhi became Gandhi by practicing the ideals that he stood for isint it? He was an ordinary man like you and me before. If he could practice the ideal - like ahimsa - sacrifice for the country and the like - we too can practice. It is another matter we that we are unwilling to practice. When we say Jesus drove away ghosts people say that he was god himself but we are ordinary mortals. But Jesus himself maintained that anybody could do this with faith and many of his desiples latter could do it by god's, name alone. Spirit possession is a pety problem. Out of our ignorance we make much ado about it. It could be cured in no tiime, provided it is a genune Spirit possession. Invite god in to your heart and make god stay permanently in your heart all evil forces would vanish in to thin air. This is no empty preaching. It works. But if you dont want to execute it, If you are unwilling to practice it, then you will come out with all sort of excuses. You will find fault with this advise. Perhaps I shouldnot blame you as all this may be the ghost's strategy. By the by if you are initiated to Dhumavati Vidya, I fail to understand why you still have the problem. Do you know who is Doomavati, my friend? She is non other than Goddess Parvati. The power itself . You have rightly called her as A mahavidya. Let me state what is the position of scripture on this. The one intiated to any one of the mahavidya is either one whose birth is last birth or he is Lord Siva himself. (Maha vidya dont go to anybody else). The moment it is innitiated , (And note the word the 'moment' and not after a million repitation of the mantra) boodha, predha paisacha gansas dread such a soul, and take flight to save their life. Dear Deepa, Sri Sridi Sai is a very very high spiritual being. There is no need for you to seek any other guru really. Of course you can learn various techniques and practices. Transcendantal meditation is good for deep relaxation there by releasing stress. and art of living breating technique is very good for physical and psychological ailments. Breating technique work at pranamaya kosa and is a link to both body and mind. Hold on to Sri Sainath - like a baby monky holds on to its mother. Sri Sainat will carry you to the spiritual heights - you dont have to do anything specially- just hold on to Sairam. If He has come to you in your child hood then you are ment for him. He has claimed you as his spiritual desiple and child. You can be sure that your spiritual journey is assured. No need to seek after new new gurus. My suggestion: Dont ask him for anything material from him. Look at his own life - he rejected mtreriality completely is int it? Ask Only for spiritual blessings. You will be richly rewarded. But generally Musroms and garlic (along with meat) is prohibited for spiritual people as they are rajasic in nature Spiritual people who develop satvic qualities should avoid any thing rajasic that kindles desire and thamasci that dulls the intellect. Some of the highly nutritive food like onion garlic musrooms are also rajasic and highly aphrodisiacs naturally due to the very high nutritional value, and hence could distrub and insite the mind - and that is no good for the spiritual development. Good and Bad - relative and egocentric. Good and Bad are relative concepts. It arises out of our own limited perspective to reality. It depends from our ego's perspective. Let me explain. For we, human beings, cancer cells are bad - evil creatures. But remember cancer cells themselves are life form in their oun right trying to multiply their kind like we do for our species. For us they are evil From their own perspective they are good trying to feed on uur body. For us muskitos are bad as they spread malaria , From Muskito's perspective human beings are evil as human beings evacuate them from their natural domiciles poison their envirnment and murder them in masses. All creatures of earth have their right to live and multiply like we human is int it? From this brouder perspective if we look at the issue - not from our narrow perspective of antropocentric - ego centric perspective there is no absolute good and bad. From larger perspective - I guess that would be the gods perspective - there is no good or bad. As a totality the universe is perfect. From partial interests, there are imperfections evils. In Krishna's Viswa rupa, - Universal form - Not only the creater's face (Bhramas face ) exists but also the destroyers face -the one who swallows everything - kaalas mouth - exists. Dear Aghora, I hope you dont mind my asking cetrain personal and intimate question. You dont have to answer me if you dont want to. But My questions are related to your diagnosiis. Are you married? Do you in any way block your sexual urge? (Even if you are married) You dont have to answer me . Just check this out for your self. I am asking these questions because not releasing sexual urge and blocking it could cause these symptoms. One need to first eleminite the normal causes before concluding that it is witchcraft. Our ignorance regarding diseases could make us go astrey. We are all mostly ignorant on maters of health issues. Correct diagnosis is the key to any effective cure. Dear Deepa, Though I dont know you personally, I know that you are very spiritual. One of the reason that I have for this hunch is your question about attraction to gurus and saints. I did not answer that question explicitly, which I shall do now. You must have noticed either from your familiority with many other young girls that some of them have a secret desire - or even open desire - to become a movie star. you must have noticed that such girls are mad of any movie star. They admire and hero worship them. This is natural as whatever we want to become - what ever we aspire to become - but not yet succeeded- will hold an attraction for us. Those who have alreadty achieved that status will exert a magnitic influence on us. This is the same with spiritual aspiration too. If there is a spiritual aspitation deep in you, you will naturally be attracted to all those who already achieved - or appears to have achieved - a high level of spirituality. This is so even if you are unaware of this urge consciously. In fact the attrection is more stronger if it is unconscious. The attraction to spritual gurus and saints is the attraction to your own potential - yet unactualized spirituality. There is a second and very sure evidence that you are spiritual deep down. Your reaction to my post on 'who are you'. Your reaction show a clear evidence that you got it - not just verbally understood it, not just an intellectual grasp - but actually seen the truth that you are not the body but a formless undefinable consciousness beyond all the emprical manifestation - however short lived that direct seeing might have been. Now, this can only happen if you are spiritually advanced. Jnana yoga, though is the royal path to self realisation is by no means easy one - however simple and easy it might appear to you - and many will not get it. Having got it I dont want you to loose it. If you stabilise in that state, that is true jnana yoga meditation. You need to ask "Who am I?" And continuously engaged in it for a while. This this a great meditation technique prescribed by Ramana maharisi. By this inquiry, any answer comming from emprical realm must be rejected and the enquiry continued: "Am i my body - annamaya kosa? No - that is an oblect I know, not the knower. Am I my breath Pranamaya kosa? No That too is an object that I happened to know and not the knower, Am I my mind -Manomaya kosa? No That too is an objct for the witnessing conscious. Am My intlectual sheeth - vijnanamaya kosa - No. That too is my intlectual object and not me. Am I the bliss (and sorrow and a variety of fealings) - ananda maya kosa, No That too is an object for my awareness and not me". By this way, any definitions you state , are rejected with the clear grasping that they are all your definitions - you are making them and cannot be you the maker of those definitions. Thus transcendending all the levels of existance, having arrived clearly at the transcentantal- I you stay in that feeling. You will be conscious in this state but without a ego boundry - with out a limiting definition. Stay in that state. You can do it any time. In the middle of your bussy work . When you are casting a horoscope for somebody ask who is behind this act. While you are eating your food ask who eats. By this way you make a constant pracctice of not slipping away of the witness consciousness. Witness everything . Be a transcendantal witness . Stabilise in this transcendantal witness state. Like a molten ghee poring with out breaking the flow in to the lamp you should stay in this awareness with out breaking the awareness of witness consciousness. Though initially many times it will be broken and you will fall back to your usual false identification of body mind complex in due course if you practice as a continuous meditation you will stay in this state with out loosing it. When you live in this state and do all your activities - your karmas - you dont accumulate the karmas, as you are not doing them now . You are mearly a detached witness of what goes on in the emprical realm. The karma no more can find you and return to you. You are free from the karmic determinism. This state is called Jeevan mukti - because you are simply beyond the binding of karma. You have nothing to do with them they go on by them self. Karmas are of three types. Sanjita, Prarapta and Agamiya. Sanjita karmas are the heep of karmic seeds of millions and millions of past life. They are not yet active but qued up waiting to be activated in some time. Prarapta are the set of karma which are ulready activated and bearing fruit and are running the present life. Aagamiya is of future karma yet to come. If you do yoga, any yoga, your sanjita gets burned or roasted -they cannot germinate. But prarapta that are already active and your present life is nothing but that action , is like an arrow already realised from the bow. It cannot be stopped. Hence you simple accept the unfolging as a witness . once the prarapta gets finished the body dies and since there is no more sanjita left no rebirth occur. The sole is simply released permanantly to its natural abode - paramatman It attains mukti. Till such time the body mind complex go on automatically - or the prarapta karma goes on automatiically -as the potters wheel - which eventually stops. But this phase of a mukta life with the body is called jeenan mukta. This is all that you need as a spiritual technique. This is a royal path. Of course you can be devoted to a god or a genune spiritual master. It is a good thing to do Bhakti. But do bakti along with jnana. Bhakti is aspiring to become the one who e you are not yet. Jana is stabilising in that ultimate potential state which you already are. If you stebilise in Jana yoga the othrer two Bakti and Karma yogas are automatic bonus. Regards, K.Ravindran

Dear Lagan, Appart from the remedies mentioned - like hanuman worship and the like, You need do develop the right attitude towords life. Saturn is a great spiritual teacher and mellows down ego. By depriving material things he teaches detachment - vairagya - While saturn is considered to be a bad planet by the meteralist it is a very good planet for spiritual development. that is his lession. Do not miss this life time oppurtunity to become spiritual. Study spiritual scripture , practice meditation, Do yoga, Develop humility. Do karma yoga ( selfless service). And do not desire any material benifit and comfort. In short do not take deprivation of material things as suffering and pain. Take it as an oppurtunity of spritual development. Dear Gramo, Any spiritual sadana is effective to the extend we believe in them This is a fundamental difference between a scientific technique and a spiritual technique. For instance God is not a matter of mechanical proff and technique. God cannot be proved emprically in a test tube because he is beyond the laws He in fact created the universe and its laws isint it? How can he be subjected to laws of nature? So any attempt to prove god emptically is futail . You cannot know god by scientific methiods of proof. You need faith. Faith is the method . Similarly you cannot coerse gods grace or action my some mechanical rictuals mantras tantra etc. You need Bhakti. Other wise the techniques however sofisticated they may look will all fail. I am saying this in order to anser your dought. You have cast a dought on atarva veda. If you dought it, or any spiritual technique for that matter then it will surely fail. Atervaveda - and most of other tantric technique fail because people use it with scepticism and dought. Otherwise it will never fail. I know this for cettain. Because I have seen many people very sofistigated , very knowledgiable , very technically correct and follow procedures to the nth degree of perfection, practicing for many many years. but they are utterly powerless and wisedomless. No benifit is gained which is promissed by these sadana. I know of a man who has completed chanting Gayatri mantra one crores of times. But he is thoroughly ordinary, except that he has now acquired a pride that he is the only one with that accomplishment. On the other hand I also know complete simple tons, not knowing sanscrit or any other methods of worship , vadic or thantric. but with simple unshakable faith. These people who knows no rules no procerus but faith and bhakti turned out to be very wise in spiritual matters and powerful too. They in thir simple faith could do miracle that pandits and people with terrific sadana could not do. I will quote a real example for this: I know a man a simple palm reader who earns his livelihood in the streets of bombay. He is illetrate. He does not know any tantric procedure, nor he did any sadana in his life. And he certainly knew nothing of ghosts possession . Once A client approached him to solve a possession problem. Actually this man was tricked in to accepting the assignment. The claint did not reveal that the problem was ghost possession. He called this palmist to his home. The simple pomist thought it was palm reading task in the privacy in the house, as some clients call him home rather then reading the palm in the street. Once he reached the client's home he realised that the task was not palm reading but ghost driving. A girl was possessed of a very furious and powerful ghost which refused to leave her inspite of many of the best tantric trying on it. The ghost was so powerful that it used to thoroughly beat the tantrics trying to drive it away. This poor palmist who knew no method of ghost driving realiszing the situation got so scared that he drank the entire liquir that was kept for the ghost. ( the Ghost used to demand lot of loquer) .Then, his fear gone by the liquer, this simpleton prayed to his favorate god, Kartikeya. He dint know any mantra for his god too he simply said, "O god, I dont know any thing - you know every thing . You brought me here to this situation. Now please you only handle this" . This was his prayer. And being a simpleton he was sinsire. He believed in god with out any dought. Then he sat for the pooja and his pooja was simple too. He lighted the camphor.And thought of god and then trying put the holy ash on the girl's fore head. When he was trying to put the holy ash the girl started pleading not to do that. This man said this is gods ash it is good why not put it.The girl said that it was a ghoste speaking and the name of the ghoste was revealed - it was a man's name - and how he possed her in what ciorcumstance and such details . The ghoste said that that the ash will kill him and promoissed to leave her provided he is spared of the ash . The palmist aggreed to that and the ghost left promptly the girl . The girl who was so strong that even 10 people could not contain her all this while now fell down, and her body became very fregile and week. After a while she got up remembering nothing . The ghost left her permanantly. This is a true instance and I know this man who cured this personally . He knows nothing actually and culd cure a case of ghost possession that was not cured by big tantric and pundits, just by his unsofesticasted faith that was genune. In fact there are many spiritual techniques for curing physical mental as well as spiritual illness ( like spirit possessions and witchcraft) Appart from the fire worship another sure technique for this , when everything fails ,is the meditation of Medicine bhudha of Tibet. This technique miraculasly work on all problems be it physical disease mental disease or whichcraft. You need to meditae Medicine bhudha as blue in colour (Vaidurya prabha) and chant his mantra. It works like a miracle. I know some one who cured AIDS by this meditation . ( you can get this sadana in internet. Search with the key word 'Medicine Buddha') . But there is one condition stated in this sadana; You cannot entratain an iota of doubt for this to work. You should have complete faith in it. It seems that you have already scepticism of the adarva veda's efficacy even with out trying . If that is the case I advise don't even try it as it is sure to fail. Then it will reinforce your faithlessness in these spiritual techniques and search for new new techneques and siddhas to cure. It is futail. I dont blame you for this. If things fail for whatever reason one looses faith. You can find this kind of reaction in Asthmatic passents- they have a pessimistic attitude, they believe nothing works and even when effective cure is suggested to them they reject it- because they have tried allopathy medicine and seen that nothing works - there is no cure for it in allopathy medicine. (However there is a very simple and very effective cure for it - a particular type of breathing technique). And about siddhas, It is true a siddha can easily cure you. If you can find them well and good. But that is a lazzy mans solution. Rather than searching for siddha who seem to be extreemly rare, why not we our self become siddha? It is our problem right? Are we going to wait for some siddha walk in to our life and cure our problem? Fine if that happens well and good. But is int it like many people wanting to become rich buying lottery tickets for that? The most sensible attempt would be to start a business. isint it? As to guru, it is declared that God is every ones guru. Particularly Siva. He is the original guru of all . If you dont have a guru you dony have to worry. Surrender to Siva as your guru and start youir sadana. This is a sanctioned method. I have practical evidance for this too. I know people who dont have human gurus and surrendered to Siva as their only guru and gained formidable knowledge in all sorts of things. Why will god reject you if you seek god as your guru? Of course you need bakti and faith for that. I am talking all this not just as theory. I have real experience on everything I say. Though I cannot be elaborate on all that evidences and practical experience in this short forum, nor I am really interested in a convincing trip. After all it is your life and destiny. If you chose to do nothing about your problem then no one can and should do anything about it isint it? I am writting all this as an intllectual discussion on the subject, not with any anxiety to prove any thing. But who knows! it could help you perhaps. Or some one who is in need of this information will find it. That is my motive. If I have said some thing that has offended you or in contrary to your belief, forgive me. Dear Serchingeye, I dont know of any genune siddha having this power you are requiring as a test. But I know of a sadana, By my book knowlewdge that exactly does this. This is called Karna Yakshni Sadana. also some time refered to as Sravana Pichachini sadana. A little mythology will set the back ground of this sadana. The lord of death Yama, who is also is the Judge of the souls after the death, Was initially not able to perform his duty of judging the souls good deeds and bad deeds properly, as souls could easily hide and lie to yama in his enquiry. As a result he was going wrong in his judgements. So he went to Bhrama for help. Brama, after listening to his problem specially created twelve beings called Sravanas, with special powers to know everything such that no souls could hide or lie to them. They would know everything to the minutest details , including what the creatures think in their mind. Nothing could be conceled from them. Then they were aasiged to the post of jury for yema. Sravana pichsacinis or karna yakshnis belong to the heridity of these original 12 sravanas and would know everything of every body. It is said that there are some people who have attained siddhi of these deities and with out the aid of horoscope, or palm reading or any such external aid will tell people's details accurately. It is said that they can tell your name, date of birth, and other private details. They can tell you how much money you have in your pocket and what are the numbers of the currency. They can tell you what are you thinking in your mind. They can answer any question. I have not seen them personally . But I know the sadana of Karna yakshni which is supposed to give this power. There are two three versons of the sadana. In one verson, you should lock up yourself in a single room ( with out toilet and batroom) with all provision for your food for about 40 days . (You can use a stove to cook your food). You have to do everything in that room with out comming out for the entire period of sadana. You cook your food there , you deficate in the same room . Do not wash your mouth after eating. Do not whash your anus hands after deficating. Never take bath. In fact you should remain dirty and chant the mantra of the pichachini. You are even required to drink your urine and eat your defication, rub it all over your body, as part of your sadana. If you do this for around 40 days and chant the mantra the pichachini will appear physically at the end of this period and demand intercourse. Having completed that, She will always be with you , invisible and wisper in your ears secrets of all people. Any information you ask will be wispered in your ears. By this siddhi, you can know the crimes of tomarrow of of any future date, You will know them when it is being planned in the mind. You can know the exact details of it - Who and where and how it is being commited etc. Karna pichachini sadana will make you like omnicient.You will simply know every thing. You can get the details of this sadana in internet Just put karna yakshni and search. Otherwise you can find it in Sudhir kakar's book on Shamans Mystics and Doctors . Dear R.N Ramachandran, If you are looking for vadic cosmology, there is very little material in vada . the available cosmology is archic - we can make very little sense of them rationally. they are mystic stuf and you need an mystical experience to make sense of them. One such source is Purusha Suktam . This text describes how the cosmos came in to existance from the various parts of the Purusha ... from eve came surya, from mind came chandra... and so on. Puranas could be more readable sourse, though highly imaginary in nature. The 14 bhuvanas and the like. Modern scientific cosmology is the best if you are interseted to know about the universe and space and even alternate universes. Though they will not contain any spiritual contents. The best choice is to read some of the accounts of mystics who have experienced transcendendance. ( I dont have off hand the references of such mystic's account of the universe. Dear Rohini, The question you are asking relats to the very origin. And questions related to the origin we simply have no known answer. Scientists have been asking similar questions about the physical universe. What is the origin of the universe, how did it start and why etc. Till today there are no satisfactory answers for such questions for any origion question. There are speculations though. For example Physist speculate a few theories on the origin of the universe. One theory called the big bank theory starts tht the universe started with a big bang -It just bust in to existance out of a primal contenced matter. another theory, called the steady state theory assumes that the universe always existed as it is to day and did not perticularly state suddenly at any time. As to the primal matter it self there are differing speculations Some say that universe arouse out of the previous condenced primal matter some say that it arouse out of nothing - from a vacuam state. They are all seeculations. Right now no one knows. This is the same with other origin questions- in religion , in spirituality . We say in religion that the universe is created by god . Because everything must have a cause . Then if we push further what is the cause of god? Who or what created god? then we are in trouble. Some say that god is uncaused God exists always. ( but that is a failure of our cause effect reasoning isint it? ) Some say god is self creatrd He aor she is created himself or herself ( that too is problematic conception isint it) Some relogion say that there was a first god that arouse out a a primal stuff called Chaos- this is the greek verson. (Similar to hindu impersonal Bhraman) . Tibeten buddhism would hold all gods and everything just sprang out of a void - soonya. The truth is all answers to the origion questions are vague and unsasfactory. It is not only we dont know the answers for the questions related to origin, we cannot know them ! There is a reason for this unknowability. If every thing has a cause , then what is the cause of first cause? How do you answer that, with out going to an infinite regress ? (God is cerated by another god, and that god by yet another god and so on up to infinity) If you want to avoid infinite regress you need to stop it at some where ,but then you are not explaining any more. Why did god created the world at the first place? Why the jeevatmans who were all paramatman originally, united with bhraman became jevatman? Why maya? Why not bhraman remained bhraman? There are no satisfactoty answers fot these question and no satisfactory answers can be ever found. Though there are less regorous speculations. one such speculation is god created the world just for play It his his/her leela. No specic reason. Because you cannot subject god's action to reason that would make even god under deterministic law - that god is law bound and compelled to do things out of those laws. Hence, since you cannot apply causation and reason to god , you cannot explain why God created the universe. Dear Deepa, Karmic determinism holds that the events of our life is dictated by the unerring cause effect chain that did not just start at one's birth in this life, it has been continuing for millions and millions of births, in unceasing cause effect chain . And it will continue that way till the soul is liberated.Your understanding that, we are born at a particular place , particular time to a particular parents is itself determined as the effect of this long chain of karma , is the right undrerstanding. We are not different because we are born at different space time cooordinate. We are different because we are different karmic patterns to start with, that these pattern differences are mearly diagnosed by the planetery position . Dear Gramo, While you are right that those people cast the spell would take care of the defences too and there is a hiarchiy of powerful people, it is clearly declared in vedas that Fire god is the ultimate power against any witchcraft and ghosts. No ghosts can ever get used to it as it simply burns them. No sorcerer however powerful can defend against fire. Sorcerers survive on the people's ignorance of this solution . Other sorcers who offer remedies them selves never reveal this solution and talk of all sort of other remedies as they -wether the one who casts the spell or the one who remedies the spell - both are in the same camp and unanimous to safe guard their interest. If people discover this ultimate effective and relatively simple solution, they - the sorcerers -will all become powerless you see . Hence it is a conspiracy of not letting people know this method . It is truely the most powerful method . And there is simply no defence against it. It fails only if the problem is not black magic or ghost possession at all. If you try this and if this does not work then you can be 100 percent sure that the problem is something else. You can be sure of this. You may wonder how am I so sure of this? What is my sourse of certainity? That story is a long one how I happened to discover it. We have no scope to discuss in this forum. However in brief I happen to know this secret from a man who used to cure people who have not been sussessful in cure and going from post to pillars, visiting various temples of high repute , all sorts of Tantric practioners spending a fortune , followed all sort of practices unsuccessfully. He used to cure them immediately with one fire worship or in certain tough cases , just in three days fire worship maximum . The only ones who are left out after three days are mentally ill and subsiquently cured by this man by a herbal medicine that acts on the mind that he said was a remedy for lunacy. ( Of course I dont know the Herbal formula - except that Bhrami is one of the component. The man who used them kept it a secret with him until his death.) The beauty is that to cure oneself, you dont need any expert. Nor it requires any siddhi. You yourself can do it . In fact You yourself should do it. (The man use to makle the victim of black magic and possedssed chant the words along with him) Try this solution if you are sure you are possessed by ghosts or victim of black magic. Dear Aghora, Do give some detail of your problem. What do you meen by you are you are suffering from black magic? The general solution for any black magic is fire worship. It is prescribed in Adarva veda. You can either get a copy of aterva veda and look for the fire worship against witch craft and ghosts. And learn the sanscrit mantra by heart. Then make a fire with clean things Dried cow dong and Twigs of treas and bushes are ideal fuel with cow ghee. And invoke fire god in the fire and keep chanting the adarva vedic mantras with faith and pleading to fire god. This is the sure way to destroy all black magic as well spirit possessions. You can get it done by a preast who knows how to perform homa and knowledgeble in veda. However do learn the mantras your self and chant them yourself with the preast or latter, after learning the homa from the preast you yourself do the homa. You dont have to continue for very long. It is supposed to destroy black magic the very first time you perform with faith. At the most you need to do this only for three days, referably twice a day -mornimg sunrise time and evening sunset time. This is a general solution and supposed to be very effective. However there are many other specific solutions too , deperending on specific forms of black magic. And Very important, One thing you should keep in mind. These techniques work only if it is black magic. They wont work if it is something else - if it is a physical illness or some form of mental illness or some general difficulty in your life that you mistakenly call as black magic. If the diagnosis is wrong then the treatment will not work. I am saying this because many people having false diagnosis keep on trying different techniques and different tantrics - thinking that that technique was not right this tantric was not powerful etc. - with out ever giving up the wrong course of action. I am only advising our friend who thinks tantric siddhas are that cheep - that you could find them any where commonly and any tom dick and harry could bribe them to do their petty work done by some petty money. Truth is far from that. I know this from my experiense. It is not a joke to find them let alone be one of the siddhas. I wanted to ask you for a help for some time but was hesitant. Because I am living faraway from you and I dont know how I can manage to pay my guru dakshina to you for my request. I would ideally like to pay duely your dakshina for your help and that is why I hesitated so far. Now that you are giving me advise let me ask you what I have in mind, -my secret desire. And I am going to ask you for your help in a specific way which you can easily do. My Desire: I want to be a Grand Tantric Master a Grand Siddha. To fulfill this desire I have been reading all kinds of original tantric texts and searching for Genune tantric gurus as my teacher. I have a collection of tantric texts but I have no teacher. I did not succed in finding one. My Request to you: Can you for my sake consult any one of the approprriate deity that comes to your body -say Bhairava - for example and find out whether I will succeed in my desire ? Will I get siddhi? If Yes which Tantric deity I should worship - which is the most favourable one to give me siddhi? And I want this word form the god. Will you put this problem to the god when the god comes to your body and get the answer from the god? Then I will take that god to be my guru and follow the sadana. I am tird of seeking human gurus. I will pay your Guru dakshina in some appropriate form. Perhaps you could suggest what you want from me- perhaps some rare tantric books that are not available there I can parcel to you, or some thing else. Tell me what you want. Dear Deepa, The question of individuality, the difference between, you, me, Lalit sharma and Ramachantra rao - our empirical level of exestence - ( not our transcentantal level where we are all same) - can easily be accounted for by the difference in our Karmic deterministic pattern, as revealed by the different natal charts. At emprical level, the jeevatmas have different programms, roles, projects, destinies. And you could divine this different patterns of karma from the birth charts. That is what astrology is all about. Isin't it? Where is the difficulty? As to your question about being murder justifiable or not, I shal make a distinction between Legislation and Astrology. While astrology is based on determinism like all other regorous sciences, Legislation is based on the notion of free will. Law in any society does not recognise determinism and is not founded on that assumption. Law believes that we are all free - we have free will and hence we are totally responsible for what we do. The notion of responsibility is intimately linked with free will. Other wise , if we dont have free will , we cannot be held responsible for what we do. Take the example of an automatic accident. Suppose a man is waking down a mountain , and at that time a big rock rolled down and hit him dead. Can we hold the rock to be responsible for its murdering the man and punish the rock? That would be funny isint it? The rock could be the cause but it is not Responsible , because to attribute responsibility the agent must have free will. Machanical events cannot be assigned responsibility because mechanisms have no free will and could not behave in any other way. The stone had no freedom not to fall at that time and hence could not be punished for doing so. Similarly we don't convict a dog or snake or any other animal in the court of law if they bite any body. Nor we assign responsibility to some one who is mad . Because we dont assign and free will to the animals and mentally ill. But we assume in society a mentally healty humen has free will and hence responsible for what their actions. This is the way we opperate in society and legislation is based on this notion. If a man commiting a murder at 40 years could be predicted the day he is born, then he is just a mechanism following simply a predetermined course of events. Can he be held responsible for his act in such a case? what does it meen to say he is responsible for the act of murder when it is already pre designed when he is born? If astrology by the planetory combination at his birth could predict that he is going to do this act at such and such time then what is the sence to say he is responsible? Do you get it? If determinism is true, free will doesnot exist then the concept of responsibility does not apply. Hence the the case of punishment does not arrise. It must be considered just a mechanical mindless event like the stone rollong down or snake bitting. However this is not how we function in society . We assume free will and hence responsibility, and punish 'criminals' and so on. We are not comfortable with deterministic thesis and we feel determinism would justify murder, and a variety of other crimes. But our feeling uncomfortable with the deterministic thesis, our feeling that we have free will. has nothing to do with the truth. We are simply ignorant. That we think that we have Free will but free will it self is an an illusion. We feel that we have free will because we dont know the laws that opperate behind our behaviour. Our assumption that we have free will comes from this ignorance. I shall give an anology to demonstrate my point. Think of a stone - a metrioid - falling to earth from outer space. Also assume that the meteroid on tis way to earth suddenly , by some strange fluck , aquired consciousness. Now the stone will ask itself- because it is conscious - why it is going the way it is going? " Why am I moving this way". But it will have no knowledge of the laws of gravitation- it has not studied it. Because of this ignorance it will never arrive at the right answer to its, question , Finding there is no external cause for its moving the path it takes, the conscious stone would conclude that it is moving the way it is moving out of its "free will"- that it wanted to move that way - even though it is exactly following deterministically the laws of gravity. We are like this stone. Our ignorance of what determine our behaviour makes us feel we are doing it out of our will and we are responsible for it. Spiritual texts calls this as 'ego'. Arjun thought he is fighting the war and he is responsible for that and was perplexed at that, as he dint want to kill his own relatives. Krishna has to show that it is an illusion . By his Viswarupa he demonstrated Arjuna that every thing is predetermined - people and creatures are entering the mouth of one of the heads of the visvarupa. Gauravas (and even Pandavas -latter) entering the mouth of Kaala . There by Krisna showed Arjuna that Arjuna is killing them and is responsible for it is an illusion. They are already killed ( in a deterministic sence) by Krisna and Arjuna is mearly beating the dead snake.- no need to be egoistic - "I am doimng them "- Lord is doing all. This is the essence of karma yoga again - taught in bahgavad geeta. Knowing you are ( your empirical self Jeevatma) a deterministic creature act with out the the notion of you are doing - act with out ego. Astrology helps to achive this spritual maturity . Dear Dhuruva, Let me once again make an intuitive judgement about your problem. I may be wrong on my judgement as I dont know you personally. However your account and discription seems to be very familior to me as there are many such people I am familior with. I am going by this experiance. I hope you take my judgement in the right spirit. You seems to be captured by your naive imagination. One evidence I can offer for this conclution is your statement that the movie Entity is based on a true story. This is completely wrong information That story is completely a fantacy and promoted as 'real story' for commertial purposes. I know this for a fact as I have contacts with film industry and I know what are all they do. ( I happened to know how this movie was created too. I can only tell you this is completly fantacy with out an iota of reality). As to your Sister's, problem I already mentioned to you that it is likely to be a product of her own unconcious mind. My evidance for this is my own classes. ( I am A teacher of Psychology and one of the classes that I take is on dreams. Many of my students share freely their dreams to get them analysed. Thus I have a lots of collection of dreams of lots of people with me. I am taking from this knowledge.) Many of my girl students dream very frequently what your sister dreams. It is a very common dream of women expecially of unmarried. There is a reason for this dream but I wont get it in to that here. I can only say that it is very common dream and is the product of the unconscious mind - nothing to do with witchcraft. You seems to be knowing powerful tantric then any one of us - expecially me. I have been serching for them all along my life in all sort of places and have been unsuccessful. I came accross stories - like yours - but never met any power full witch or tantric actually. They all turned out to be stories only. In my search I Am advised by very knowledgeable people in this subject that tantra is no joke and such powerful people are extreemly rare - if they exist. You can in any case not find them where people live and only meet them in himalayas or in some unapprochable forests , for they are not interested in ordinary people and their petty problems. What you meet in the streets commonly are facks - with no power. they survive on people supersticious believes and nothing else. This is my experience too . (I have wasted lots of money on them to discover they are only facks)This is also the stories of many people who spent their life time in reasarching on these matter. (I know many of them) So my conclusion; It is more likely that you are suffering from your own imagination and supersticious beliefs, portraying any Tom Dick and Harry as powerful tantric. If you deny this and are sure that they are truely powerful and you know them in your locality for certain , then do me a favour. Please help me to find them as I am very interested in meating the genune tantrics to learn that science. Yes one thing that you should assure me, if you are ready to help me. I want concret address and details not "you will find them in himalayas or orrisa or kerala" and that kind of vague stuff. Or "I only heard of this instance from my uncle, grandfater , one villager. I dont personally know them " and that kind of stuff (No stories). Since you seems to be knowing such people directly, and are sure that they are powerful, can you put in touch with them - dont worry you need to only tell me who they are, I will persolamlly go and meet them myself.
