i think that you are absolutely right.. devas are "temporary jobs", like the first minister, the major, the director of the prison and so on... sometimes there's conditioned souls covering that role, some others there's liberated souls, sometimes, not to leaving a place vacant, there's directly sri bhagavan

this problem will be fixed when we will implement the varnashrama dharma, the congregation.. in this way, naturally, people will send children to gurukula and someone, recognized to have the karma and guna of a real brahmana/brahmachary, he will remain at the themple running everything so nicely that house holders from the society will be inspired to serve with practical work or money..

jaya means VICTORY.. or GLORY Govinda is a Supreme Lord's name who means "He who protects cows" and for extension "He who protects all the living beings" Gopala is another name of the Supreme meaning "cowherd boy". The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna, in some his activities (perhaps the more intimate and blissful) performs a life of a little boy caring for cows.. from this Go-pala or Go-vinda. NrsmhaDeva is another name of God (Krsna/Vishnu) when he comes terrible and fearful with lion head and human body to protect devotees agains demons... ask more if you want Gaura Hari... (the Golden Supreme) another name of Krishna when he comes 500 years ago in West Bengal in the form of Sri Chaitanya (=supreme consciousness) Mahaprabhu (=supreme master) Prabhupada is Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (=all the masters are at his lotus feet) , from Gaudya Vaishnava Sampradaya, one of the most important and most famous "monotheistic" sampradayas (dinasty of masters) in the vedic religions. the vaishnava (the true brahmana, one who has realized the spiritual reality, brahman) interrupts our sense gratification (regulating it) revealing that we are not the enjoyers but krishna is the enjoyer

yes... love comes from srikrsna (radhe) and it is unconditional and not motivated, in theory one can stay sitting in the couch and the love for krishna comes .. but rarely this happens, the "classic" way is to please the spiritual master executing, under his guidance, our duties in offering our life to krishna (through the varnashrama system.. like arjuna) and chanting hare krishna, chanting hare krishna, chanting hare krishna, chanting hare krishna, chanting hare krishna.... in this way, obeying to the vaishnava, krsna sees our intense desire and gives us the love.. obviously it is possible to call love also the procedure, service, sadhana, to obtain love..

from a technical point of view: because you were envious of sri krsna and you wanted to be god. Being impossible to have two gods in vaikunta, krsna has created for you this world where you can live in the illusion to be the god, the proprietor, the enjoyer. From MY point of view, my duty is to see you as a vaishnava, completely sat, cit, ananda. You're eternally liberated.. but due to your infinite mercy, you have come in this world to save me from the cycle of birth and death... simple... (my obeisances...)

better you read attentively some srimad bhagavatam, vedic customs are very complex, a civilization very different from our one... to accept or to criticize it, it is necessary a more deep study.. i hope you will do it.. otherwise you are missing the opportunity to learn some very special truths, very useful for your spiritual advancement

Why didn't these people just do bhajan of Hari? •••they did bhajan, they were absorbed in spiritual consciousness. We cannot judge, we are so little, we are so identified in the body that we do not understand if one thinks that there's something more valuable of the human life on moral and spiritual plane. We have not even to think to do like that, but let us take it as an opportunity to learn that the body, the conditioned life is not everything (and this is essentially the reason for krishna, to put these stories on srimad bhagavatam and other scriptures).. In kali yuga everything is little, we do not understand big personalities, big saints, big demons, big heroes, big sacrifices.. and we cannot in any way imitate

as prabhu has said a SINCERE letter expressing your gratitude could be very nice.. your guru maharaja is doing his service essentially to spread the holy name of the lord, so if you invite some people to a feast and everyone chants hare krishna it is without doubt the most valuable service and gift you can offer to your spiritual master in his birthday jaya srila gurudeva

preaching is essentally done by example, achara.. if you became krishna conscious you save your close parents and relatives and you will be followed by the people who see you so happy, mercyful and well behaved. in my opinion you are doing a greater service to srila prabhupada now, following one of his final instructions.. to implement varnashrama system.. in this way, if devotees of krishna spread them in the society, very soon we will have the need of gurukulas, and from these schools many will choose to enter grihasta ashram (with their own important way to preach) and many will choose to live a real life of brahmachary, sannyasi and preachers in traditional ecclesiastic sense in the prabhupada times everyone has helped prabhupada in the emergency to have to implement a complete brahminic/vaishnava system in the west in ten years, and we have seen people of any guna and karma doing any dharma . now we are out of the emergency, we are no more justified when we force our nature, we have to follow the arjuna's example and serve krishna according our own nature, not maybe our gratification to be martyrs and ascetic.. so, please, be happy to chant hare krishna, to preach and please guru and gauranga in your own way and many thanks.. you are saving the world, myself included (if you are so satisfacted to do so, why not, in collaboration with the temple, go out with books in some spare time or in some holidays?) (another way of thinking could be that before you were working on quantity.. many contacts, little time and maybe superficial preaching.. .... now you, with friends and relatives you have time, you can really completely bring people back to godhead following and caring for their complete spiritual evolution... if you think about it you can see your situation as an improvement, a spiritual advancement.... and more responsability, before a book and run away, now you have to care for your "disciples" and for the example you give)

the material world is a section, a department (the jail) inside the totality of the spiritual sat cit ananda creation of god that actually is his expansion, his emanation, . material world is eternal, exactly like vaikunta, the difference is that it goes through cyclic creations and destructions to give us the illusion of the existence of birth and death.. so there's no difference in the constructive material, material world is also god's energy , god himself in the all pervasive form.. brahman the only essential difference is that the jivas entangled in the material world do not use the matter for serving krishna but for serving their false identification on the external body and to increase the forgiveness of their relationship with him.. so everything is already here, there's not to go to the spiritual world before starting to serve, the only thing to change is the destination of our dedication, devotion... the purpose of our acting from our gratification to the gratification of krsna bhagavan exactly like arjuna, making war and killing, the most horrible thing in the material world, becames pure devotional service because it is done for krishna, following the advice of the pure, bona fide, spiritual master (krishna too) so the difference from spiritual and material is essentially in the use of the energy... if we use it for krishna we are in the spiritual realm (just like we are using spiritually something like internet that is essentially a medium for increasing illusion, prajalpa, sex attachement and so on) so the components of the body of the vaishnava are the same earth, fire, water, air, ether of a common human's body.. but because he uses his body only for krsna's service, everything, his body, his mind, comes back to the original proprietor..sri krishna so the vaishnava belongs to krishna, he is krishna's exclusive property, and he's sended by krishna to save us from hell.. so what comes from krishna (mercy, prasadam) is pure and spiritual even if we have a perverted perception that make us see it as material

BELIEVES very often we transfer this kind of mentality (me the first of course) in krishna consciousness and we expect, as neophites, to grasp immediately all the controversial and esoteric things.. we want to believe.. but we can't because it seems illogic but it is not possible, nor requested by the spirituaol authorities, to understand everything at the beginning, it is a school, there's a master and we have to follow the procedure, why not, with the risk to find at last that it is all mythology faith is complete gambling, school is without doubt risky prabhupada, in my opinion, had no problem to explain these scientific points, but at certain point he said "please do not waste time, energies, it is not so important.. follow the complete method, follow the school" obviously i do not want to minimize the doubts and the questions of the practitioneers in krishna consciousness.. but i think that we have to be able to put some little marginal things aside and go deeper in krishna consciousness of course a big scholars or philosophers like srila prabhupada, or sridhara maharaja, bhaktisiddhnata sarasvati maharaja and so on cannot make gross astronomic or scientific errors this in my opinion.... what you think?
