  1. In other words, the dull orb you have said is only a planet. It became a sun when Lord Narayana as the Sun God entered it.If that is true then there`s no meaning to what Krsnah said when He instructed the science of Krsnah consciousness to the Sun God because Lord Narayana as you have described earlier who caused a dull orb or planet in space to become a sun is all-knowing.
  2. I`m not expecting all the members here to answer to one conclusion who God is. To each his own if one says God is Sambhu or Krsnah. People have diverse mentalities to quote Srila Prabhupada. And that is due to their personal karmas. Some people worship Sambhu as God because maybe they want to smoke ganja. But those who worship Krsnah as God worship Him as such is because they love His pastimes as the wonderful flute player who lifted up Govardhana Hill to protect Vrndavan from being flooded from the torrential rains brought upon by Lord Indra the King of heaven on the residents of Vrndavan. Maybe they just can`t help reminisce how Krsnah stole the clothes of the damsels of Vraja while they were bathing in the Yamuna river. Or how He was able to obtain 16,108 wives while in Dvaraka, so on and so forth. Yes, it`s true I`m living in a fool`s paradise if I insist that Krsnah is God. But who doesn`t if one also insist that it`s Sambhu whom we should worship as God. But if we don`t believe in God then that`s another story.
  3. Do you believe in extraterrestials?
  4. The basic teaching is that GOD is comprised actually of three personalities, The Generator(Brahma), the Operator(Visnu) and the Destroyer( Siva). They are the Holy Trinity described in the Bible. For us to understand this knowledge better, Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu came up with this philosophy of acintya-bheda-abheda-tattva. That these 3 personalities are inconceivably one and yet they are simultaneously different. The difference is that Brahma and Siva are lower in rank to Visnu. However, it doesn`t mean that Brahma and Siva are not worshipable. They, too, are worshiped because they represent Visnu. Living beings who has no knowledge of Visnu but has knowledge of Siva worship Siva as God one without a second. Similarly, living entities who have no knowledge of Siva and Visnu, but who have knowldege of Brahma worship Brahma as God one without a second. But those living beings who have knowledge of Brahma, Visnu and Siva worship Visnu in the sense they know Visnu is God one without a second while Brahma and Siva are only second to none. However, those living beings who have realized that Brahma, Visnu and Siva are one with Lord Govinda have ended their search for the Absolute Truth by worshiping only Krsnah the wonderful bluish black skinned flute player who loves and protects the surabhi cows in Goloka Vrndavan.
  5. What I know from Charles Von Daniken in his book the Chariot of the Gods is the earth used to be a sun and that the moon used to be earth. That the sun which has cooled off ( primordial earth) would have to look for another sun if she wants the seeds of the living entities on her surface to grow. That this planet we occupy would soon become the moon if the sun sustaining her dies. However, in Brahma-samhita (5.40), Lord Brahma says that he worships Govinda, the primeval Lord by whose personal effulgence the unlimited brahmajyoti is manifested. In that brahmajyoti there are innumerable universes and each is filled with innumerable planets. In this verse, there is no mention of suns. Why?
  6. God is that wonderful flute player in Goloka Vrndavan whose name is Govinda ( Krsnah), the Primeval Lord whose personal effulgence the unlimited brahmajyoti is manifested. In that brahmajyoti there are innumerable universes and each is filled with innumerable planets ( Brahma-samhita 5.40). When Lord Govinda wants to end this cosmic manifestation, He becomes Lord Siva whose task is to destroy it.
  7. The beginning of time did not start with the Big Bang. Time started with the primeval Lord Govinda (Kalpataru Krsnah), the controller of time. This is confirmed in Brahma-samhita(5.40): " I worship Govinda the primeval Lord by whose personal effulgence the unlimited brahmajyoti is manifested. In that brahmajyoti there are innumerable universes and each is filled with innumerable planets."
  8. In Srimad Bhagavatam( 2.4.18): " Even the aborigines and uncivilized human beings like Kiratas, Hunas, Andhra, Pulinda, Pulakasa, Abhira, Sumbha, Yavana and Khasa, as well as many other human beings in the lower species, can all be purified simply by taking shelter of the pure devotees." Pure devotees of Krsnah therefore are proof of the existence of God. No pure devotee, no God.
  9. If I lack something the person I`m attracted to has, the person who has what I lack is attracted to me simply because he lacks something which I have. Why is a girl attracted to a boy is an example.
  10. To understand this we have to go back to the basics, advaita and dvaita. In dvaita, one says, " I am not the mind and intellect, nor they are mine. In advaita, one says, " I am not the mind and intellect but they are mine." Actually, mind and intellect are the subtle forms of God`s external (inferior) energy whose predominating Deity is Durga( Search Brahma-samhita Text 44). The self however is different because it`s a spirit soul part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, God. The self is not a product of this material nature(Maya or Durga).
  11. Jinglebells isn`t a name, it`s a Christmas carol. The significance of names is that you can`t reach your destination if a place your going to say, heaven, don`t have a specific name. If I want to go to heaven, Krisnahloka, I have to say the name Krsnah if the driver of the spaceship, USS Enterprise, asks me where I`m going. If I say Coca Cola where would the driver take me? To Coca Colaloka, of course.
  12. Medical science has found out that prayers, mantras and meditation can relieve mental stress.
  13. Is being naughty bad? ---------------------- From Bilvamangala Thakura, who in his later life, lamented: " I was situated as a monist in order to become one with the Supreme(advaita), but somehow or other I contacted a naughty boy( Govinda) and became His eternal servitor."
  14. This is what I learned in kindergarten about stars ----------------- Twinkle twinkle little star How I wonder what you are Up above the world so high Like a DIAMOND in the sky Twinkle twinkle little star How I wonder what you are
  15. We`re friends, Hindustani. I, too, love and respect your points of view. Vaishnavas are disciplined disciples of Visnu or Narayana. They don`t speak ill-will to anybody. Because if they do, their spiritual Gurus wont be pleased. Please forgive them if they did. Was it saktyavesa avatar Jesus who said that if an enemy threw a stone at you, you throw back to him a piece of bread?
  16. Do you remember the story of Bharata, a pure devotee of Krsnah? To many who didn`t know him thought he was dumb because he wont say a word if asked. One day the dacoits(worshipers of Goddess Durga) took him to the Deity of Goddess Durga where they were going to sacrifice and kill Bharata before the Deity Goddess Durga. When the dacoits were about to slay Bharata with their swords, the Deity Goddess Durga came to life and immediately killed all the dacoits who were there to sacrifice Bharata. There`s a lesson here somewhere. That one should never attempt killing or hurt a vaishnava if one is a worshiper of Goddess Durga or Lord Siva. This henious act could boomerang on you. Goddess Durga and Lord Siva are the protectors of all vaishnavas who render devotional service to Krsnah(Govinda). If you are a Durga worshiper or a Shivite you should make friends with a vaishnava not make him your enemy.
  17. Huh? means huh, wow. It`s a phrase said by Varg Vikernes at the begining of the song " War". It`s now used to express something is ...huh...wow... Prison Guard: They decided to extend your sentence, you`ll be here for 5 more years. Varg: This is huh, wow... Teacher: If you don`t get an A on this test, you`ll have to repeat the grade. Student: This is huh, wow...
  18. Glad to see you, ranjeetmore. A cruise ship wont depart as scheduled if one of her crew officer has not yet arrived on deck.
  19. Yes, it`s true. If Krsnah doesn`t give you what you pray for, why don`t you try praying to Govinda, the Primeval Lord.
  20. It`s simply good karma. Unlike what I saw on television of a boy whose arms were severed at birth. Maybe in his past life, he killed a vaishnava by squeezing the latter`s neck with his bare hands.
  21. The story above reminds me of the Kaustubha gem.If worn by one under the spell of maya, he becomes very beautiful even if he`s ugly. But if it`s worn by Krsnah Himself or an eternal servitor of Krsnah, it`s the Kaustubha gem that becomes more beautiful. That`s why there was no need for Krsnah at Dvaraka to wear the Syamantaka jewel given to Him by King Satrajit. Instead He let the temple, so to speak, wear it. Besides, there`s no possibility for disease and pestilence to appear in Dvaraka because of Krsnah`s presence (Krsnah lied to King Satrajit).
  22. I`m so glad you are back, Sambya. I missed your hindsights.
  23. I`ve never been to India. I never studied sanskrit. And here I am for the last 9 years sharing my thoughts in what I think & feel is Hindu. Maybe in my past life I was one. Because if I were not, I would have posted this view in visaya ( our local culture & language).
  24. Lotusflower, you didn`t give up KC. It`s simply more than you could take."
  25. "You got it, empy!":bounce: So why can`t primates(bishops) & sants(kabirs) simply understand that statement from Prasad, empy?
