  1. that was a very enlightening story there srinivas. sudhamshu
  2. well you see, I know what you are feeling cuz thats exactly the thing that i went through for a while. Basically, your mind is confused because it is restless. A restless mind is surely subjected to suffering. If you want to free yourself, then meditate. Meditation will calm your mind and your thought. Then, follow your morals in life. Don't try to think about your position in the world. Just believe in your morals and ask help from your all knowing supreme friend *In my case it is Krishna but in your case it is rama or christ or allah or some other supreme gal or guy*. This is not craziness, but this is oriental psychology. It helps in making right decisions in life and reining supreme over your senses and develops self control in your life. A philosopher, sudhamshu.
  3. It is just so hard to make yourself think about what truly IS, due to the fact that all that goes on around me shows me nothing but false identity. sigh, if only things were simple.
  4. My dear friends, God as you can see basically carries out various actions in his little play in this universe. It is he himself who has said that He comes and protects the people one way or another. So, he is coming and protecting people from saddham in the form of a thought of war. He alone causes the war, he alone pays the costs and he alone enjoys peace when it prevails. He is everything and he is untouched by anything. thank you for reading my giant paragraph of bhakthi ( if you really read it ) Krishna's humble lover, sudhamshu
  5. Hey mystic, i think there is a soulmate, because it makes sense that you are here for your soulmate* my opinion*.* my opinion* However, your soulmate may be some one who represents something totally different. For example, for the god intoxicated beings the soulmate is god. For people who see things to be more simple, well the soulmate is the one who you care for the most. well, if you marry your soulmate then it is great, you have a wonderful life together, but i think you have to make sure that the soulmate that you marry tends to like you as his or her soulmate. We see this in the story of sukra in Yoga vasista, where the guy basically gets married with his lover and loves her so much that when he gets reincarnated, he gets reincarnated into a girl then his love turns puts his lover into a guy so that they will get the chance to marry according to ancient indian customs. Anyway, its all speculation, but the truth is simple, for people whose soulmate is krishna, they are never let down in any aspect of their life. 7. The truth again my dear collegue, is simple. but first, let me ask you who wrote the vedas? on what authority ? and why? I also want you to tell me who wrote the ten commandments , on what authority and why?. If you can answer these two questions with accuracy, i will assure you I will definitely answer your question. Note : Open your eyes and see the truth. Don't blindly believe something to be the word of the supreme just because it has been written in a book by some one. I believe that god wants us to use both logic and the vedas, thats why we are told to have both: the mind and the vedas. and yes, i will reply to your question about where did i get the idea that krishna knows the delicate balance of nature. Answer : LOOK AROUND! surely the natural state of the wildlife today is dependent on the laws such as the survival of the fittest. It is by that very law that we have survived this world. If you solely believe in scriptures rather than your own understanding, this might interest you my friend, please take this as evidence that supports my point: This quote is from Yoga vasistha: Valmiki narrates : "vasistha continued: O Rama, he sees the truth who sees the body as a product of deluded understanding and as the fountain source of misfortune and who knows that the body is not the supreme soul" -story of sukra IV:22. Iv"Calmly and in an unfaltering voice , TIME thus addressed bhrgu: O sage , how is it that such a wise sage as you are comptemplates such unworthy conduct? Wise men are not upset even when they are offended.; yet you have lost your balance of mind even when no one has offended you! You are indeed an adorable person, and i am one of those who strictly adhere to the appropriate mode of behavior, hence I sature you- not with any other motive. Do not waste your merit in useless exhibition of your power to curse! know that i am unaffected even by the first of cosmic dissolution... Do not give away to anger Osage: that is surely the path to disaster. For, what will be will be. Realise this truth. We are not swayed by vanity; we are naturally inclined to the fulfilment of our natural functions. Such indeed is the nature of wise ones. what has to be done has to be done by wise men here., remaining egoless and unselfish as if in deep sleep; do not let this be violated. Where is your wisdom ..." and this is from IV:11. check it out if you want. Anyway, the fact is simple, we are all inclined to carry out the necessary functions that we need to carry out. We need the protein for our bodies and one way to gain that protein is through eating meat. Now if you say it is killing animals, killing plants and killing natural beings!, it shall not be done, then my friend, you can stop BREATHING, EATING OTHEr FOOD STUFFS, because in reality when you breathe you are killing millions of air born jivas in the form of bacteria! and the same applies when you eat other food stuffs. OH no what a disaster. hhahahahaha /images/graemlins/cool.gif. Just kidding, chill. So come on, don't discriminate against people who eat meat, because they are just being themselves and carrying out the necessary activities which are basically hardwired into them by birth. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif thanks for reading this stuff. /images/graemlins/ooo.gifI am though , impressed by how much you know about vedas. I admire you " O great vedantin". /images/graemlins/laugh.gif i do that in a sincere but yet corny way , that i do. Oh yeah, don't go on telling me the verses from so on so book(s) and prove this or that. I am a simple being /images/graemlins/confused.gif don't confuse me. /images/graemlins/grin.gif thanks for your time man. A humble friend of my love my god sri krishna, Sudszy *sudhamshu* case closed.
  8. In the perspective of krishna, there is no difference between me, you or any meat eater/ non meat eater on the face of this universe. Therefore, when the supreme lord himself sees no reason to subjugate them to discrimination, why do so?. If you wish to know by which authority i make the statement that i do, then i will clearly say that I make this with the bhagavath geeta in mind. Where krishna himself explains : the unconditionality of his love by saying "i am the unconditional brahman who is not touched by any thing in this world. He alone is the most intelligent, unconditional, supreme being, then if such a being has no problem with various types of people, then why discriminate. So, i rest my case, and once again, I just love that icon of yours please tell me how to put that on here /images/graemlins/grin.gif /images/graemlins/smirk.gif /images/graemlins/crazy.gif /images/graemlins/ooo.gif /images/graemlins/cool.gif /images/graemlins/shocked.gif /images/graemlins/cool.gif /images/graemlins/grin.gif /images/graemlins/wink.gif
  9. Well, the fact is simple. The world has been dominated by the males in the society from the time of the ancients to basically until like today. The truth : Males tend to be very aggressive. Males tend to be aggressive through their biology. It is a pity that we have allowed this gender to be incharge of the key aspects of the world's governments. Males who don't tend to be aggressive are by my opinion are a honorable few. Even in jails , you see more men than women in average (in usa). it is also true that men show more aggressive behavior in jails. This is the curse of testosterone, sorry guys. However, the people who tend to get over the fact of their bodies are the knowers of the truth. It is a pitiful that many people never realize it. ANyway, why wars?, well i think its because males control most of the politics and leadership positions today and they tend to be aggressive due to their very genetic make up itself. Most males : /images/graemlins/mad.gif /images/graemlins/mad.gif /images/graemlins/mad.gif meanies.
  10. Not quite the answer, but a funny joke. Don't show this to a muslim guy though because he is bound to get very mad (angry).
  11. We will never know who is ignorant until we see what is really going on our selves, which is basically impossible because of our finite powers. Yet, the truth still remains, it is unnecessary to fight and blow each other to pieces. It is even more unnecessary for the media to cover the war in which people basically blow up to pieces. This world looks so beautiful to look at, but it is covered with the darkest sheath of ignorance. The american media is the problem. Is there propaganda in the world? - probably. then, is it from the american side or the middle eastern side?- we will never know
  12. If that story is true, it is So COOL!, Some thing like that would have never happened to a person like me.
  13. I wish there was a way to stop people from killing each other, but I guess no one can make people see the truth, they have to see it for themselves. The crazy nationalistic and individualistic ideas make it so hard for people to see the truth.
  14. What is so wrong with eating meat? Most of my friends eat meat. Most of Ancient indians used to eat meat. Most of kshatriyas ate meat and i am sure krishna ate meat too, because he was a kshatriya. You cannot say, eating meat is horrible, because it would be like saying to TIME: "TIME DON"T EAT KILL PEOPLE". It is the very way of life that there are predators and prey. Predators eat prey and they keep the balance in nature. then what is wrong with that? I think it is just your ignorance which makes it so that eating meat is very bad. WEll, I don't think krishna likes such an attachment to such an idea as to not eating meat. Krishna is never attached to anything, he is never even hurt by people eating meat because he understands the delicate balance and nature of life. Don't discriminate people by thinking they are horrible just because they sell or eat meat, because a person who is discriminating against others is surely attached to this material world. Think about it. And oh yes, I LOVE YOUR SYMBOL OF NAMASKAR LIVINGENTITY. 15. Can any one here explain to me what exactly madhura bava is, thanks i greatly appreciate it if you do. I would also like to request you to use only a simple description and not extraordinary vocabulary from sanskrit. Sanskrit is a beautiful language, but my ignorance won't let me understand sanskrit or some other vocabulary, so please I would prefer it if you kept it simple. THANKS AGAIN. MY QUESTION IS : WHAT EXACTLY IS MADHURA BAVA TOWARD KRISHNA. THANKS! sudszy
  16. You see, we think that krishna looks like the guy with the peacock feather and beautiful clothes ...etc. but, when he is the uncreated cause of all beings, how can he have a specific form or a shape? Iswara or god is not different from what he has created. We realize this in various ways such as "the bavas in bhakthi and stuff". Anyway, the truth is simple, what is perceived isn't always true, Iswara, or krishna is perceived as a guy we see on the krishna website by hindus. In a similar way, Christians perceive the guy as a leader of angels who have "white wings and wear white clothes and have magical powers". In the same way, Islamic people perceive him in another way, but in reality no one knows for sure about his looks, due to the fact that we cannot see something that has been there before we were created. An example of this is, How can you know how Universe looked like before we were there?, and how do we know it looks precisely like we think it looks like?. We see the universe through the help of scientists who perceive it in such a way. The same analogy applies to this matter too, because we have no way of knowing the looks of Iswara, who created so many things, because it is impossible to know through our short lifespan. On the other hand, we can know him in a sec, because he is non different from what he creates. so, what ever you perceive about him/her, it is considered his/her form, so it is sacred. I hope I answered your question. :-) /images/graemlins/grin.gif
  17. It is a sad thing we never see things the way they really are: For the only reality in this world is only one thing. We are all human, we have the same type of hearts, we have the same lobes in the brain (frontal, temporal, parietal, occupital), we are the same from head to toe, even if we differ in color. Still, the people fight because of their views, it is sad how they have developed various glorious ideas about the supreme reality, yet they never realize that those great ideas of liberation should liberate them and not put them in more wars and fightings. They fight due to differences in what they believe. We HUMANS have fought over beliefs such as : ALLAH only exists (jihad) or Jesus only exists(Crusades) or something else alone exists. We have fought over things saying "THIS IS MY PIECE OF LAND" or "THIS IS MY SHARE, NOT YOURS", but we never see that we belong to only one world, in only one universe. Alas, we kill ourselves thinking we are the greatest. Alas, we fight due to the simple discrimination that arises due to delusion in our little puny , yet beautiful hearts. We are like children even after we grow older in physical aspects. Alas, we fight thinking that we are souls or the part of the almighty. Some say some are demoniac mayavadis, others say they are delusional bhakthas. Some say "they are polytheistic", the others say, "we are monotheistic but they never see it" and they all fight over it. some say, we are "black brothers", and others say "Beat the Hell out of those niggers", alas, we live in this cruel world, where people fight over things so small. We are so devoid of happiness, we are devoid of peace. The saddest part is this, we either realize our faults when we grow old like after 90 or something, or we never realize it at all. Alas, why did i have to realize it when i am only 16. It is not fair for i have opened my eyes and i have seen the ignorance we live in. It is horrible, horrible i tell ya, horrible!.
  18. It is still hard to believe though that only a few reach such a state of bliss and get away from the cruel things of this world. The sufferings of the body are not the problem, for we are not the body. What i want to know is about the problems of the heart. The very selfishness that is seen in people including me. The very arrogance that destroys one of the most intelligent of all minds, such things really make this world an abode of unhappiness. so, where exactly is bliss? you say it is only found temporarily for most and permanently for only a chosen few. That is just sad, I guess we are subjected to such suffering until the end of our time upon this earth.
  19. Krishna is not like you and me, he is transcendental. So, he is you, me and every one, but we are not him. I think what he is trying to say is, what ever is said about this rasa is revealing only one thing, that is love. You can gain the God by love and love alone. Now What you are trying to say "shiva" is what the other guy "anandi" is saying. You just don't see that you are saying the same thing. :-) the only difference is that : One is quoting from a book, the other is trying to come across by using his own words. :-D i enjoy this forum.
  20. : ) I guess sanskrit is god, but it quite doesn't let my mind rest on the subject.
  21. Story time!: A kind gentleman named s__ is walking down the street. He meets three people, One of them is his teacher, the other is his mother and the other one is his sister. His teacher says to s__: "Hi, how are you doing my favorite student?!" His mother says to the teacher: "I am stunned by your ignorance, that person is my son!." His sister says to the mother and teacher : "I can't believe you two, he is my brother, duh!, I mean don't you see the truth, he is not your son nor your student." they begin to argue over it. Poor s__ sees them all argue and he tries to yell!: I AM THE SAME GUY PEOPLE!. Don't feel bad s__ god feels your pain, because He always gets into these types of situations. HAHAHHAHAH Moral : the being is one, one says "he is what i say", the other says "NO! he is what is say" and they all argue. it must be hard for the big being who gets into such situations. /images/graemlins/grin.gif /images/graemlins/wink.gif /images/graemlins/blush.gif /images/graemlins/wink.gif
  22. I don't know if i found my answers but a very interesting site indeed. Thanks man.
  23. People, the capitalistic and communistic theories are the theories pertaining to the governmental system. The lawmakers make their laws and the capitalistic society has helped more than it hurt in some instances anyway. However, the truth lies here, the prostitution, drugs and war are the things brought up due to the type of society people live in. Today's society is based on physical attraction and pure temptation. So, ofcourse there is prostitution in the world. Drugs destroy the people's lives through addiction and war kills people unneccesarrily, but i don't see anything wrong with prostitution. The person is just trying to make money off of other's temptation. I don't discriminate again'st prostitutes due to the fact that i recognize them as humans who tend to not have a very opinionated view.
  24. Note : Isay, You say and another are characters. I say : Rama is the supreme personality of the Godhead. You say: Krishna is the supreme personality of the Godhead. You are contradicting here!!!. Another: I say ________ is the supreme personality of the godhead. You are contradicting the truth Isay and yousay!!!. Truth: It doesn't really matter, what matters is that we are all happy with our beliefs. /images/graemlins/wink.gif
