These philosophers came to their conclusions through speculation, speculation = thought process. They achieved their goals by their curiosity to have freedom to say anything they wanted. Henry david thorow was followed by Ghandhi who inturn gave india the independence which was the place of rebirth for Krishna conscious movement. You see, what i was trying to say is clear, with out mental speculation which leads to very good conclusions, we wouldn't be here right now. Such mental speculation that leads to conclusions is philosophy. we can't just know anything from the top of our heads like we are krishna or something. Its true guest, i am unenlightened, but i do have the right to have a screen name named enlightened right?. I mean, we see many people named Krishna, Rama, Raghurama. We dont expect them to be just like krishna or rama, because they cant be krishna or rama or some one else. If we are not our bodies but souls presiding in our bodies then plz tell me how we get the difference between a gopa and a gopi? I mean, doesn't what "sex" you are pertain to the body? So, how is some one a gopa and not a gopi? and how is some one a gopi and not a gopa? What is the difference... Answer my question plzzzzzzzz. thank you in advance.

Isn't the lord who resides in goloka pleasing to look at for every body, well every one of us has different tastes, so can't we say that the lord comes to every one as he/she perceives him to be? So, isn't it our imagination of the supreme lord's form. However, no body knows him really, but he knows every one. he is so mysterious...

Shouldn't every one be valued not just brahmanas, elderly people , women, children and cows?

You see, in my point of view, every one is totally absorbed with getting saved, or getting salvation. I don't get that, i mean, why are we so bothered about what happens after death? why not try to live our lives now with out any concern about the life after death? we should enjoy the life and not put it through concerns about something that will happen after this lifespan, right?. For me, serving krishna is one of the best things, honestly. I love to be happy with simple prayer in the morning and the rememberance of the lord always because i feel safe, comfortable and always happy and very equamnious when i think about krishna. If i get to serve krishna in every lifespan, i don't care how many bodies i go through. Correct me if i am wrong about this plz... You see, the fact of when he will come is not so easy to predict. However, i do know his last name, his last name is vishnuvyasa, son of vishnuvyasa in south india, that i know. I read it on some Hindu Mythology site that basically talked about various types of avatars, it is said that at the end of mahabharat, they say that he will be born in the vishnuvyasa family. Anyway, I think what we should do is not find kalki, but try to follow the footsteps of vishnu. Vishnu is all powerful, yet even when he is all powerful supreme being, he is very humble, kind and generous. Try to follow his foot steps and then you will realise that the very wisdom, power and love that you gain for others is vishnu himself. The avatars happen to show the devotees that "he is there" and "he will be there". Well, if we just try to find the god in us, just like theist says, we will see that Kalki is already here, not in a material body but in a feeling of love and wisdom among his devotees. Dude, the only reason we have the notions of Freedom, liberty and pursuit of happiness is because of philosophy. The very philosophy that ended with these results started as a mental speculation, if you want to know the proof for this, read books by John locke, voltaire, Barone de Montesque and know about the age of enlightenment in europe. Think about it man, with mental speculation alone at first can you start an action. To change something for better in the society you need speculation first about how you are going to carry out the change right? Think about it man, Mind is a tool, Mind is used to avoid suffering, Mind when left uncontrolled can cause suffering. It is like the sword that protects, if you have the sword in control then it protects you or it possesses the potential to slash you, that is the truth. however, With out mental speculation, we would not be here enjoying the comforts that came out of those philosophies today. It is also due to mental speculation that people found a way to avoid suffering my friend. So, how can you say that it is such a bad thing. I do respect dear srila prabhupada, but his views are only views of one man. The writers of vedas , krishna and all these people , in my thinking are above these things. Please, don't try to show that philosophers are not worth anything, for they are trying to do something, even if it is mental speculation. It hurts my little heart to see people trying to believe something that the other's say but never try to listen to the "antharatma" inside them.

Women are basically having abortions because they want to be free of all the financial problems they will have if they have kids. They have no notion of killing people or being very aggressive to babies. Can i ask you how many mothers are aggressive to their young ones here in america? your answer would be: probably 1 in a million. because, Your baby is part of you so you can never be aggressive to such a "cute" thing that you have. then you might ask why people have abortions? its because of the feminization movement in america ofcourse. The feminization movement of 1970s freed women alright, but it also created a society where having sex is okay, but having babies is not because of all the financial problems they create. It is just sick in my view, i mean if you are going to have sex you probably should accept the natural result---> babies. If not well, you shouldn't have sex at all. In my opinion killing babies is cruel, but i think people are just trying to run away from the consequences of their actions thats all. But men being aggressive is totally different. So many problems in the world were caused by men wanting power. For example, the problems with monarchs all over our history. Men also tend to be more inclined to show off their strength in general. This is not speculation though, this is not something i thought off either, I researched in websites like Society of Neuroscience and brain.com which are maintained by scholars in the field of nueroscience. Anyway, one who is not tainted with the ignorance of the world might argue, HEY! We are all souls, we are not affected by anything that is affected with. No body wants to go to war, but like it was said in the past posts, if you go into the military of USA, you get alot of benefits. Like, the veterans get huge amounts of money for college education and stuff. Anyway, you can get drafted, the country has a law where the person can get drafted into the army whether he likes it or not, but it is only limited to males. Women in USA never get drafted, lucky bunch of people eh? /images/graemlins/smile.gif but Women can go into the military but most of them will not fight , they work as doctors or pilots for shipping missions etc. They won't fight because it is said that it reduces the military moral and improves the moral of the opposing army . For example, the opposing army is muslim and most of the muslims are sexists so they say : HAHAH we are fighting against some bunch of girls. So, they almost never fight. The gita that i read is not a new book or anything, its been there since the time of my grandfather who was one of the "acharyas" in South India who used to follow "alwars". I guess thats a group of the spiritual men but who knows. Anyway, I don't understand a thing in BG, cuz its in sanskrit, however i do go to various sites to get bits and pieces of info on what krishna said in this verse or that verse. Anyway, thanks for revealing my own ignorance to me. I did say krishna might have eaten meat because it is in our history books that aryan kshatriyas used to eat meat. So, when krishna himself was supposed to be a kshatriya, i thought "hey what the heck, he must of eaten meat too". Well, that was my speculation, but in truth i guess krishna never ate meat, but i know some people who are crazy about krishna but they can't get over eating meat. When it comes to politics these days almost every one lies. So, we should never be sad of something as this "lie". However, United States of America still represents the freedom for people, but if you say it is dead because it is going to war, well let me tell you something. It was dead the time it annihilated the native american tribe population. It was dead when it first attacked cuba, and it is dead every single time it went to war because it killed many people in those wars. So, if you say america was a great nation trying to do various beautiful things in the world and it is going bad now, you are wrong. It was bad and it is bad now. However, if you say america was always good and it is still good now, then you are right because it represented Freedom for people before and it still does in the hearts of many. I came to america about 5 years ago, i was like in 7th grade then. I didn't like it very much the first year because the people were very ignorant, but I also realized this wonderful truth, that they are all human. We are all human and there is no difference in India, America or Britain. Some people are good and some are bad, deal with it.

I am speculating because i have no vedic evidence to prove it but lets use common sense. We are all afraid of failure and for the people who are very spiritually inclined, failure tends to be not going to your destination or not getting to see your God one more time. Most of the people who say they are intellectuals like limitless light demote people saying "You are deemed ignorant by the wise and worship is not your answer, don't you know.... blah blah blah". Note: *blahs are there cuz i don't understand a thing when they start talking in those high vocabulary containing run on sentences*. So, i don't think people who get offensive like that are enlightened. I think the people who wrote those puranas don't like them either for that reason. To avoid people from becoming into those beings, they scared them by saying you go into hell etc if you believe in maya vadi stuff. well what is a maya vadi in my opinion : either a knower of the truth OR A hypocrite. Any one these two things and they are very different. Note: I dont have any problem with people calling everything is brahman, some are very intelligent and courteous and those are the enlightened ones. If you are trying to ask me, where did you get the idea that krishna doesn't care if we eat meat or not?. we see this in bhagavath gita where he clearly exemplifies, that is the unconditional supreme brahman. The meat is him , the eater is he, the non eater is he, and also the act of eating and non eating is he, for he is the only and one and only brahman. sudszy.

You see, i never said that krishna authorized you to do something like eat meat. However, i did say, that for krishna nothing touches him, even if you eat meat, even if you don't, he doesn't care, so why discriminate. And Don't reply to this message. Its ok that you have a strong sense of "NOt eating meat issue" but you see for a simple person like me, eating meat and not eating meat is basically one and the same. I hope it is the same thing for srila prabhupada, if not, i surely am depressed with the ignorance that i see in this world.
