  1. Dont you guys think that we are trying to hang on to the past? past is past, why dig a temple, if it results in people killing themselves over this piece of architecture
  2. Ofcourse the temple is there underneath the mosque in ayodhya. Look closely when you go to Ayodhya and squint your eyes when you look at the mosque, it seems to be a temple. However, it may be not be seen as a temple for one who is a hindu, but for a muslim it has been a worship site for their one and only god. To believe that it is not a worship site just because there is a difference in architecture and rituals conducted is just ignorance. Furthermore, what is Ayodhya? isnt it a place where Rama has born? then what is Your heart? isn't it where the same rama has born as the lord if you are a devotee. All the holy places in the whole wide world seem to be where ever we are regardless of our religion.
  3. Don't mind me, but for people who live in saudi it basically stinks. Why?, because it is headed by a theocratic monarchy which is based on Islamic Fundamentalist ideas. Duh! you can't have religious freedom there. A word of the wise : Get out of saudi if you are in there.
  4. YAY, you mean bush is really trying to get a person with an enormous amount of wisdom like Christ come back? this is a good news. However, killing people and bringing christ back is probably not a good idea. Lets get Krishna over here he will straighten things out. right krishna? Krishna : yeah man, i will use my chakra to stop any war that will hurt the good people here. GOOD PEOPLE ROCK MY WORLD Me : cool dude! you are awesome. Christ : well,if you are gonna do it Krish, i guess i will watch another episode of the simpsons on tv. Whoo hoo more popcorn for me. Mohammud : Oh yeah Oh yeah, I love allah and i am gonna buy a new tv to watch allah network here, good luck straightening those people out krishna. Krishna : thanks man. Bush: will some one come here and save the world already? __ the above lines are a joke hahahahah
  5. I don't mean to be disrespectful to the ancient language of india ( I am an indian my self, but thats not the point). however, I do have a question pertaining to the wonderful people who maintain such a forum as this one. This question may be offensive, please don't mind. Question: why do we bother learning things in sanskrit. whenever my dad takes me to the temple, i see people chanting in sanskrit, but the fact is i don't get it. I don't understand it and it does not seem to be very helpful because if they are chanting the names of the lord himself, it is better that we understand the names. Isn't what's written in our scriptures important more than sanskrit, then why do have to chant it in sanskrit and not learn it in reality? sudszy
  6. I don't think its a title, but a symbol of appreciation. For the people who run this website and many more, the title "His grace" is not a title, but a symbol of appreciation due to the feeling of gratitude they have in their hearts for a great human. I can say "His grace , Jesus Christ" or "His grace Mahatma Gandhi". I can even say "Her grace Elizabeth Cady staton". I do not think it matters.
  7. To reach to a state of such an understanding that is : "rest in your own consciousness , for you are infinite in your own true self." is a marvelous thing, but is it that simple? I sincerely ask you this question, if nothing other than the self exists and all we are doing is seeking the self, then why aren't we perfect in ourselves. Why do we live our life at all? why is there a difference between a lazy person and a person who has accomplished so much in his/her life? if you say there is no difference, then why do we even carry out any type of action. If i am you and you are me then why do i feel such a notion of individuality. If the individuality is unreal, then there is no difference between vivekananda and a lazy man on the street. If that is so, then why do anything? please answer my question (s). sincerely, sudhamshu (sudszy)
  8. If there is a point to what I am about to say, Please reply. If not, do not. : If the most powerful being whom i have known all my life, that is sri krishna is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient supreme entity, Then my friends, the theory of us being subject to suffering does not rise. If that is so, why do we suffer at all? I am just a 16 year old kid, so i don't know much. However, the basic idea for people all around me is that krishna is all powerful and transcendental. Then the lives of the blessed ones like us who experience the being every moment of our lives shall be the ones which are of pure bliss. Yet, that is not so in my life. This bugs me alot. Kindly answer my question only if you think it is reasonable to do so. If not, I am sorry to waste your time, Thank you. sincerely, Sudszy. /images/graemlins/confused.gif
