  1. Well it is true that krishna is the enjoyer but now i am confused... aren't we enjoying the enjoyment that krishna is gaining. For example, Aren't we enjoying by making krishna enjoy? So can't we say krishna is making us enjoy by making us being enjoyed by him ? So who is really enjoying? we or him? or both? _______________ too many 'enjoys' /images/graemlins/grin.gif
  2. Its like the song vaishnava jan tho, the song basically talks about how a true vaishnava should be... /images/graemlins/smile.gif
  3. I did not mean to offend you, I was sincerely telling you my perspective after deep analysis of such notions. I am sorry if I offended you in any way srivats /images/graemlins/smile.gif I am not at any level and I am not certainly at your level. I mean your bhakthi is enormous compared to mine, so I admire you and I love it when you post all those things about krishna and everything /images/graemlins/smile.gif.
  4. but are you trying to say that these rasas are differentiated in the view of lord krishna or in the view of the bhakthas...
  5. I did not mean that you can be a non vegetarian, my friend. However, i did mean that you can live by eating or not eating meat because it does not effect you in any way. We are not our bodies so we are not affected by what happens to our bodies. /images/graemlins/smile.gif every one is going to oppose me on this, however this is what krishna said to Arjuna. We need to follow dharma because we get liberated from the cycle of birth and death and reach the supreme personality of the god head. I never said eating meat is okay, but i did not say eating meat is not okay either, the truth about vegetarianism nor non vegetarianism is based on our level of ignorance. Even when we think Logically, How did the human race survive before we ever came to the Neolithic or "The new stone age" when we established our first villages. Let me ask you another question , How do we support all this population today? So, we shall not kill any sort of living being, okay, then aren't you eating the live cells that the plant survives on for photosynthesis... duh! ANd let me ask you one more question, can you survive eating something with no nutritional value? The leaves on plants do not have any nutritional value because they have CELLULOSE covering on their cell membranes which prevent them from giving any sort of nutritional value to the human body. The other animals such as Cows, deer etc have cellulase, which digests cellulose also... so they survive, we have no cellulase... so we cannot live much longer eating leaves of plants. We have to eat fruits... well fruits are the basis of strength for seeds, so you are eating a plants ovary? then one might say "Oh my God, i am eating the ovary of a plant how terrible" Get out of ignorance my friend, see the truth , you may not kill things because you can , but you can use things when you need them for basic survival. Even Krishna agrees with this... /images/graemlins/grin.gif if you want the "scriptural data" that supports this view i will give you that... If you want scientific data that supports this i will give you that too. In truth we are not our bodies so we are not affected by what ever happens to them. -Enlightened.
  6. The basic fact is this, we cannot live with out harming other organisms, for the very basis of natural stability lies in the relation ship of predator and prey. The fact is that krishna knows this. Still, people here cling to various types of misconceptions of "do not hurt other creatures by your god given body" . The fact is simple, we are not supposed to hurt other beings willfully... but when we have to we can... The whole world seems to be an abode of ignorance on the wide range. Some say don't eat meat and then some give meat as an offering to Vishnu in the form of Narasimha... The "supreme personality of the godhead" (fancy title isnt it) or simply Krishna said that we neither hurt nor harm anyone because we as individual souls are indestructable... "avinasi tu tad viddhi yena sarvam idam tatam vinasam avyayasyasya na kascit kartum arhati"- taken out of bhagavath gita /images/graemlins/grin.gif this translates into- which pervades the body never gets killed , because it is imperishable soul. "ya enam vetti hantaram yas cainam manyate hatam ubhau tau na vijanito nayam hanti na hanyate " this translates into- Neither one who thinks the living entity is the slayer nor who thinks he is slayen is in knowledge, because the self never slays or is slayen. Duh! /images/graemlins/smile.gif So, the fact is, we never slay anyone nor are we slayed so why bother get into the misconception that "we are killing something when we eat... or we are not killing something when we eat..." when you eat plants you are killing them and eating them right? and when you are eating animals you are killing them and eating them right? When you are making silk you are killing silk worms and making it right? Stop getting into the misconceptions... See the truth. Scientifically, even darwin says it is very important to have a relationship of predator and prey in the Origin of species, did any one read this book before? well I did. the whole idea of killing and not killing is so stupid in krishna's point of view because he is not tainted by such ignorance. I wanted to tell people about this in other posts, but they were so attached to the very notion that the notion became very important in the advancement of their spiritual nature, so I stopped, and admitted it as my own ignorance out of compassion. -Enlightened /images/graemlins/wink.gif /images/graemlins/smile.gif
  7. Now this website just gives me the creeps /images/graemlins/grin.gif -thanks though.
  8. You see, what I am trying to ask is that : If these lilas are of a "Higher realm" thus being superior to other lilas... then my question is that "How can that be?". In other words, Are you saying that the lilas are superior to one another because they are superior from the perspective of the bhaktha and his/her heart or are you saying "Krishna basically prefers one to be superior to other" . Please answer my question. /images/graemlins/smile.gif -thanks /images/graemlins/grin.gif for your time /images/graemlins/smile.gif
  9. You see, I always thought that whatever pertaining to the supreme lord is beautiful in its own way... However, you said many times in this forum that one is the top most which means that you are making one get preferred over the other. Can you tell me the reason for one being the higher to the other. I see no difference between any of them, I always thought that the lilas are there for improving our love towards the almighty. In reality, he alone says that "We are all in him" if that is so, then why do we care about pleasing him in various lilas when whereever we see there is him...I mean, Where are we pleasing who, and why? when even the things that are there to please him are he himself in disguise. When I see people worshipping, I kind of always ask them this and they say "thats wrong, You shouldn't think like that", "you are not God". Well, you see I never said "We are God" but I do say "God is also us, right?, didn't he say that in Bhagavath Gita when he said all exists in him. Well, How can we delude ourselves into trying to gain him when we are him? I know I am wrong about this because I am just getting this negative feeling in me that every one is going to oppose my idea, but please be kind enough to tell me why I am wrong. I am a little confused here, please open my eyes and take this veil of ignorance out of me. /images/graemlins/grin.gif thanks!
  10. You don't know who Kenshin Hemura is?... well i guess you are not an animation fan /images/graemlins/smile.gif well ruroni kenshin is a samurai in 18th century Japan. He tries to fight for Japan's freedom from the "corruption of the tokugawa dynasty" and the re establishment of the "good meiji dynasty". The guy is so good in swordsmanship that he kills many people and is named "batosai the man slayer" and as a legend. Then he gets a revelation, he mourns all the people who he killed and then he Hates his life. As a penance for all his killings, after the war he disappears and leads a life of a wandering samurai who saves other people but never kills again. He saves so many people and creates another legend of Ruroni Kenshin "The wandering Samurai who fights for good but follows nonviolence". It is a really cool show! on cartoon network ... /images/graemlins/blush.gif lol don't mind me i am just a kid. /images/graemlins/blush.gif /images/graemlins/grin.gif /images/graemlins/crazy.gif /images/graemlins/laugh.gif -enlightened. /images/graemlins/grin.gif /images/graemlins/blush.gif /images/graemlins/grin.gif
  11. The sexual urge only is dominant if we pay attention to such a notion, if you just don't let your mind dwell in those things but enjoy the beauty and bliss of the nature around you all the time, then there is no sexual urge in the first place. When we try to gain something, then there is an urge to obtain that thing, but when we lost the charm for such a notion, then where is the domination of the urge in the first place __________ This type of control is also recommended by Valmiki's Vasistha Yoga, where sage Valmiki explains the Conversation between Vasistha and Rama about how to get dispassionate about the world. /images/graemlins/smile.gif -enlightened.

    POEM

The poem is cool. I like it because this talks about how we are free from all sorts of attachments and fears and hate and love when we are dreaming. Atleast i think thats what you said. well thanks for enlightening me with such a wonderful poem thanks! /images/graemlins/smile.gif -enlightened /images/graemlins/grin.gif
  13. /images/graemlins/smile.gif Can you post Krishna's stories here please!!! I love it if you do! and so will the other people here!. please do it! ghari!. thanks in advance /images/graemlins/grin.gif -enlightened /images/graemlins/smile.gif
  14. So! this is the part of koran i read, where the allah says its okay to burn all people and bury them alive if they don't believe etc. So, i was right in the first place, there is no show of compassion the whole koran is totally biased and differentiates people as "white" and "black"(symbolizing good and bad). There is no black becoming grey peacefully and then grey becoming white, neither is there removal of the totality of human ignorance that puts us in such misery. There is no love in koran and it is totally contradictory. It is a pity! /images/graemlins/frown.gif . I don't feel so good now - enlightened.
  15. thanks for the website I read a british translation of kuran... it showed nothing but hatred toward other religions and how God punishes the people who have no belief in allah...it seemed delusional. But this website is quite different i like it but when did Krishna get crucified? /images/graemlins/smirk.gif thats what they say in the website. It shows inaccuracy though . Anyway thanks /images/graemlins/grin.gif -enlightened.
  16. It says how women are there to please men not only on "earth" but also in allah's abode. Now then, if that is so then the religion is trying to say that "if you have male sexual characteristics on your body then you are a human, if you have female sexual characteristics on your body then you are property". In my view, that is just delusion and sick! Hare krishna people should convert every single one of those arabs who believe in such BS... -commoner.
  17. Do any of you guys know what that means in the first place. Just curious...so please tell me what it means if you know. If it means "religion" in Arabic then, I must say it doesn't sound like religion when you read koran... I don't know about this Mohammud character, the guy has some problemas grandes! when it comes to looking at every one with equamnity. However, I like some of the rules that have been set up by "Allah" in koran. One more thing!!!!!!! for a religion that came to exist in 600AD (which is like 1600 years ago) , how many followers are there total and also How many of those followers converted peacefullY? /images/graemlins/smirk.gif can you force the "truth" on to some one? -enlightened
  18. An "avatar" is not predestined. The lord who is the supersoul of everyone, who has the power to pervade in everything does not need to come as a human being. However, he may only come through our thoughts and deeds. The avatar is not there, it is made. An ordinary man can rise up to the status of a great being which we call the "avatar of god". In other words, if a man rises above all base qualities of this human existence, then he can surely rise as an avatar of god himself. -enlightened
  19. Would upgrading Girlfriend 3.0 to wife 6.0 have any effect on the operating system family life 2003? tech support help needed.... /images/graemlins/grin.gif /images/graemlins/smile.gif
  20. "That is a true statement that it is" Just sounded like the wandering samurai in ruroni kenshin.
  21. THe basic differentiation of sex in Islam is that Men are human and women are just things to please men. Its disgusting! The whole system should be changed or should be taken out of existence. Religion should be about precepts that help people live harmoniously! not hurt them! -enlightened
  22. cuz, krishna is "The GOD". He is completely free from all the finite aspects of human nature. So, trying to be like him would be kind of hard in my perspective though. /images/graemlins/smile.gif However, you can ask him for help and he will surely help you. lol, Us being like Sri Krishna would be like Cinderella trying to be He-man or Superman. -enlightened /images/graemlins/smirk.gif
  23. It talks about how there might be a scientific solution to these experiences. I will keep browsing the website for more details about the types of 'spiritual' experiences.
  24. Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, if he gets angry, he'll be a mile away - and barefoot. -enlightened.
