  1. Krishna is everything. Everything that is there now, exists in krishna. It is a hard concept to explain, because krishna is localized then again exists in everything.
  2. www.vedicmaths.org The above links talk about some of the mathematical tricks that were taken out of vedas... If you go to India, you can buy Vedic Mathematics text book ... in it are verses from the vedas that prove to be useful in mathematical calculations. You will become like a living calculator /images/graemlins/grin.gif There are books on vedic physics, vedic astronomy and vedic air flight mechanisms. There was a famous Indian Vedantin, I forgot his name, but he was a very famous fellow who made flight possible in an airplane created by the dictation of vedic verses. It was a non engine, man powered airplane... He was killed by the british who were very afraid of the Indian Vedas... The Vedas are also the cause of "Draw Bridges" that we see all over the world, An Indian invented it (by the help of the vedas ofcourse) but was killed again by the british government. Anyway, Medical verses of the vedas still exist today though, even though many Ayurvedic doctors were killed , shot or were basically put out of business by the british, some of the Ayurvedic doctors still existed in villages giving free treatment to people. So, after the Indian Independence you still see Ayurvedic Hospitals today. One of the most famous Ayurvedic hospital is the Maharshi. They give free treatments and is run by a multibillionare doctor.
  3. I went to his temple when I was 2 years old , I think... He is basically buried alive and his samadhi is still there today.

  5. Whatever you see before you is in one reality, the one reality prevades everything. One reality is nothing more than krishna himself, the Infinite self that alone exists is krishna. So, try to see krishna in everything, then you will truly be free from this cycle of Maya.
  6. No, you see Krishna does not side Adharma. Karma is something which is an ongoing cycle, In Jyotishya (Hand fortune telling rituals), there are many instances where a person could die due to his/her karma. Whether he dies or not , depends on the circumstance and basically on trial and error. So, Karma is not just the player here, the player is the person who acts in such a way that he/she commits his/her death or becomes responsible for other's death as well. In Mahabharata Krishna Clearly says, "I will only side with Dharma because I am Dharma itself" he also says this, "I have no reason to control the tastes of other's actions" In other words, he will let the terrorist be ignorant and serve the karma by blasting that bomb, or the terrorist might come to his senses and try to save those people. It depends on the terrorist and his choice, Krishna does not interfere with that. So, Krishna here is not to blame, it is the terrorists who did this are the one's who carry the guilt. But the Terrorists will suffer though, because when they act in Karmic cycle their vasanas increase. Vasanas are the root causes of our tendencies, the terrorists however have destructive vasanas, and as their destructive vasanas increase, eventually they will destroy the terrorists themselves.
  7. Lock neck monster= timingila fish? /images/graemlins/confused.gif Possibly?
  8. The Land of India has the same problem as Isreal, but unlike the Government of Isreal, the Government of India kisses up to the Muslim minority. This makes it basically weak because it does not represent the majority of the population. Anyway, In my view, the people of India are untouched by these events, many people die each day due to starvation in that country. I went to India 2 years ago and got heavily depressed by the starving people that I saw on the streets of HYD and other places I visited. They are every where and no one cares for them, it was one of the most depressing moments of my life.
  9. "I_L_K, if you think that all these people need is counseling, love and compassion - then you and your family can go live in the neighborhood where these pervs are released to live amongst children after they have gone through their so-called help programs. " ------------------------- And I will be taking my krishna with me /images/graemlins/smile.gif My arguement is people are essentially good, even though we have tendencies to be selfish, to lie, to be dishonest, to cheat or have some serious "psyco" problems like these people. From a more civilized point of view, if we consider the society as a body and one part of it is diseased and there are means to cure it, then it is best to try to cure it than to cut it all together. Anyway, this is too boring to discuss, so, this will be my last post on this topic.
  10. The true murderers here are the ones who started this mess. I don't think the mess is started by the Ex-priest here, but by his ancestors who were probably sick just like him from the past abuse. This guy was crazy, he needed psycological help and I do not think this guy deserves that sort of a death. He is like a mentally retarded person who has no sort of conscience for what he is. If he does have that type of conscience he probably can't help it because he is basically a psycho. Such people are not supposed to be murdered ruthlessly but they should be given some sort of help that will get them out of such maya. Most of these pedophiles and others have the same problems which the other abusers have, a malfunction in Cingulate Gyrus in their brain. The Cingulate gyrus when it is not in proper condition, the people act such a way, I don't think capital punishment is proper when it is not necessary in the first place. It is definitely not a vaishnava way, that is for sure.
  11. The presence of free will should mean that the freedom is achieved. Prabhu, freedom is like the river, free will is the water. The freedom consists of free will. When I say free will , I say free will from the side of the slave, not the master. Because, the master(krishna) always has free will. It is the slave, who wants free will to reach the master. It is a granted fact that the free will is there for the master, but I guess it does not really exist for me, because it depends on how much of my life is controlled by the superior being. If i do everything for the superior being and nothing to myself then I guess there is no free will. Now i see that that could be actually a good thing /images/graemlins/smile.gif but the thing that pains me is that the slave has no free will at all. If the statements made by Mahak prabhu are valid, then that would mean that my advancement into KC only depends on Krishna's mercy and not my own decisions. So, if I decide to serve krishna , I may not be able to , because it only depends on krishna and if krishna does not need me there is no point in him calling me... that was the whole exact thing that made it confusing. That is, if there is no free will on how to serve krishna, then it is really a depressing situation to be in.
  12. My friend , to really see the truth we have to rise above these perceived differences. Then we can see what truly lies in any matter with out being partial to one party. That is called equamnity in a living entity who has realized its true nature. Christians were not just like muslims, unfortunately they still continue to be like muslims. They say that the only true messenger is christ and him alone, the rest of the others are just from satan or something. Such beliefs when given to people brain wash them and turn them in to somethings which do not think in their own way, but think in only one way... which is of a very narrow perspective based in ignorance.
  13. It is not urdu it is Arabic, even though they both use "persian" script, these languages are different.
  14. The best cure for them is the Maha Mantra . Haribol!
  15. Why do bride and bridegroom garland each other in a marriage? So that they can hide their body odor by the aroma of flowers /images/graemlins/smile.gif Why do we light lamps in front of God? So that God can have some light and actually see you in person. Or he would be blessing some one else in the dark /images/graemlins/wink.gif (it used to be pretty dark in the temple rooms in the olden days)
  16. Death penalty is not the cure for these crimes. They have some sort of a psycological problem which should be understood as it is and cured through the use of modern medicines. I don't think these people are demons, they are perverted, but not demons or rakshasas or monsters. They need psycological help ... the best idea is theist's isolated villages.
  17. If he went to krishna and asked his forgiveness, he could have forgiven him... then he could have tried to pay back for all the crimes he has done. Now he will be like a worm or something like that... I also feel bad for his family who has to deal with this infamous mark in their history.
  18. Mahak from another post here said : "Understand that even ones advancement in Krsna Consciousness is not the property of the devotee. Krsna controls the senses, if we think we control our senses, we will fall, this is false reninciation." So, if we are never in the control of our senses, then where is free will? How can we fall into ignorance when we cannot control our senses in the first place. So, As I post this post from my computer, Is it being controlled by krishna , then am I asking this question because krishna made me to ask? So, are we like robots basically being controlled by an entity whom we don't know as the controller all along? Is this the cause of our suffering? /images/graemlins/confused.gif So, is free will just imaginary? please help /images/graemlins/confused.gif
  19. Jihad is the struggle to reach God, this I know. But that does not mean that there is only one way to God. The thing that I don't like is their attitude that there are "two camps" . One for believers and the other for non believers. The believers are given sexy mates or something else they really like in the heaven with all sorts of alchololic products while the non believers are roasted in the ovens in hell. It sounds to me like a story that you tell a child .. so that he will listen to you and eat his lunch.
  20. Guest : I thought Hare Krishna believed that Mohammed was a shakt-avesha avatara sent by Krishna to preach Islam. Why is Islam therefore "delusional" and "violent?" ========================================================== I am not a "Hare Krishna", I am an admirer of Srila Prabhupada and believe what he says . I have not read that Mohammed is what you call shakt-avesha avatara sent by Krishna, but I have read that Jesus was "shakt-avesha avatara sent by Krishna". But I also say that Christians who come here to this forum to convert are also delusional some what. Because the followers of christ today are not really following christ, they are just trying to gain "wisdom" to improve their status in this world. Or they are basically turning into fanatics. Fanaticism and greed are not the things that spread peace but are the tools used by delusional souls to try to carve their so called happiness in this material world. Such people fail to do so for obvious reasons. Islam today breeds fanaticism, they think they are superior to non muslims in every way. They think that only the followers of mohammed reach enlightenment. They expect you to only salute mohammed's God and if you salute to any other God you are basically defying allah. Such teachings are not to give us enlightenment but to throw us into more delusion until we become stupid and stop thinking and start acting like robots which repeat "Mohammed is the only messenger" or in the case of christianity "Jesus is the only messenger". The real reason for life is krishna... as said by prabhupada. Krishna is only gained by the sattvic means. The beliefs that these moslems and christians have are the means to gain power and prestige. That is just my point of view.
  21. Is love, is bliss, is happiness, is hope, is kind, is father, mother, brother, sister, husband, wife, life, death.... You can go on like this forever, starting from the prokaryotic bacteria to Vaikunta planets and Goloka if you are considering living matter. /images/graemlins/smile.gif But if you are not just considering living matter you can start from the atomic structures... leptons, baryons... /images/graemlins/grin.gif
  22. Is the creator of the universe as we see today, he is one of the pawns of Krishna. He is not a living entity who came to suffer in this universe like us. So, he is not abraham...

  24. We have heard the story of the disciple who asked the master what he must do to become enlightened. the master takes him to the river and pushes him down and holding his head under water. Finnaly letting him up the disciple comes up gasping for for air. The master tells the disciple that when he wants the truth as much as he wanted his next breath he will get enlightenment. =========================================================== Can I put this as my signature, your words make me happy /images/graemlins/smile.gif
