  1. So, all I can do now is chant hare krishna... and wait for him to make me serve him . Thank you that does help me a little .
  2. What about people who cannot get a guru? Lets say due to dependence on others and responsibilities that are written to be for them already? Will they not get krishna? but krishna says any one who wants to reach him truly, reaches him. isn't this contradicting what krishna said? please tell me /images/graemlins/frown.gif
  3. Is it possible to do the things we do in Krishna Consciousness with out a Spiritual master?
  4. You see in the above posts you have said that Shiva is the supreme. You are absolutely right.. But don't you see we are worshipping Shiva himself. Even though you think we are worshipping the "Solar GodVishnu". We are Worshipping Brahman in both manifest and unmanifest forms. Brahman= the one which exists everywhere. Vishnu(direct translation)= one that prevades everything . In other words, Vishnu means the one that exists in all. Or Antharyamin. Vishnu thus = the formless brahman and shiva. All we are doing is worshipping the same shiva that you are worshipping except in a different state which is considered to be superior to all states of worship. In reality, we are worshipping the same brahman. In the Vishnu Sahasranama it clearly says "shivaya vishnurupaya" that means shiva is also Vishnu, so if shiva is Vishnu why can't we say Vishnu is shiva... If your real name is S____ but you are the rudrasha poster here. Can't we say that you rudrasha= S____ then why can't we say S____= Rudrasha poster? We can and it does make sense. Thus, we can conclude that we are worshipping the same brahman but in a different taste. That is all...

  6. So, we do anything that we do for ourselves and others even though it is external selfishness according to bhagavatham , we do it with humility? And chant hare krishna , would that be enough?
  7. To make my question more clearer, I will quote living entity : "Some things are obvious - chanting, offering food etc etc. But what about all the mudane day to day stuff that we all find ourselves involved in?" Thanks /images/graemlins/smile.gif
  8. In Bhagavath Gita, it has been said that one should only act for the satisfaction of the supreme, by doing so one will clearly satisfy oneself because the one who acts lives in the supreme whole. Yes, the fruititive mentality should be given up and action should be performed as if it is one's duty according to bhagavath gita. But what if one has no chance to help others and has to work with external selfishness. For example... take my case, I am only a kid and have no power to do anything for krishna except reading bhagavatham.. and chanting in my mind. Then I have nothing else to do , so I engage my self in nothing but "waste work" Because almost any thing else I do involves "internal selfishness"(according to bhagavatham). Eating , sleeping, drinking other body functions etc. Then the external selfishness- hanging with people, wasting time doing nothing.. only helping my immediate family in their chores. How do you suggest I avoid personal result and the personal action?
  9. This is sad, some one must have some answer to this. /images/graemlins/smile.gif I have a feeling that most of us are in the same boat... the boat will sink into the sea of material existence if we don't do something /images/graemlins/frown.gif I will make this another thread.
  10. "Being renounced is to act only out of duty to the Supreme Lord whereas there will be no personal reaction." Yes, the fruititive mentality should be given up and action should be performed as if it is one's duty. But what if one has no chance to help others and has to work with external selfishness. 11. Our desire and delusional belief that what we see before us will stay like that forever. We really don't enjoy anything in this material world... the only thing we enjoy is krishna. I say this not just after reading books, but I tried it and it worked... even though it was only for a short period of time, then I fall back into ignorance.
  12. I thought it was a planet where the Demon king ruled, I am not sure if this whole incident happened on earth.

  14. /images/graemlins/smile.gif Ego= suffering... Evil= suffering. Ego is evil... Suffering= suffering. But , Touching feet= No ego... No ego= Not evil In logic ~p is the opposite of p, In the same way "Not evil"= opposite of Evil , Touching feet with Evil intentions= (Not Evil)+ Evil= 0 So, through the really bad mathematical speculation above, there is nothing wrong in touching feet with evil intentions! No karmic effect /images/graemlins/smile.gif
  15. Only demons and those that pray to demons will find the RUPA of LORD terrifying. ________ Not really, I was not very fond of Narasimha pictures until I read about him in Bhagavatham.

  19. And be happy. /images/graemlins/smile.gif If not, then Yes die in the wrath of the KARMA GHOST! /images/graemlins/wink.gif Whenever you let other's touch your feet or you touch their feet. Actually, this could be a good thing, when you are like facing the "enemy" in your life, all you need to do is fall on their "lotus feet" that way you get your revenge , and they suffer the consequences of your karma. /images/graemlins/grin.gif (highlight the last line including the grinning smilie, you will see its not grinning but smiling evilly) Take care /images/graemlins/cool.gif http://billyblob.com/cartoons/karma-ghost/index.html
  20. I was talking about the whole thread ... its too hilarious. I think this is what homer might do to make a living ... sort of an American dream thing. He tries to make money off of calling himself a guru of God and totally makes a fool of himself. I think the people who you talked to VD GL and every one else is no one other than the guy in that website. Yes people he is har tizoine himself! One guy can create the website... buy a few paintings or find a few paintings and then shave his head and fool people to take him to be a Guru... and fail miserably when a true krishna bhakth comes along and shatters his play /images/graemlins/smile.gif Krishna does love his devotees /images/graemlins/grin.gif
  21. This was one hilarious post/thread Kind of like black comedy... I think simpsons had something like this in one of their episodes.
  22. "shiva being the supreme, how come vishnu devotees always try to refute and deny it? " The supreme truth is one and the same, but we deny it because we say that Shiva is a demigod who is also a servant of Krishna. But just because we say it does not make it true. Krishna is everything, he is even shiva. So, if you say shiva is the supreme truth then you are absolutely right.
