Lotusflower, you don`t have to force yourself to chant Hare krsna. It will come automatically. If you don`t like to chant then stop chanting and forget all about this chanting. Mind you, when you are in danger or need some aid or in some uncompromising scene that will be time the taste to chant Hare Krsna is the sweetest. ------------------------

I`ve been trying to warn them to desist in arguing further whether durga is more of vishnu-shakti than siva-shakti. It will only inflame more the sentiments of those whose sides( vishnu or siva )they belong. ------

In religion, there are so many differences of opinions in reference to God.That the arguments presented regarding the name and form of God are never resolved. That`s why they go to war and butcher each other just to find out whose side of the argument God favors. ------

Bhaktajan, your argument with sambya will get you nowhere. Sambya is a very intelligent devotee of Rama/Krsna. He can easily beat you black and blue anywhere.

Sambya and iamwhatisayiam, please don`t drain your energies with this trying to counteract this sectarianism and orthodoxy thing version of Krsna consciousness preached by modern vaishnavas. People have different mentalities. Please concentrate on LOVE. Then you will be able to understand it all. -----

Kapila is one of Lord Krsna`s incarnations. His mother`s name is Devahuti. ----

Just read the story of Prahlada. The boy`s father was a demon. & yet Prahlada was a great devotee of Krsna. Just imagine living in a home all your life with a father who is a demon. How did Prahlada resolve this problem? By inviting regularly in his home a friend named Narada Muni. When Prahlada`s father couldn`t stand it anymore having Narada in his home, he drew his sword and was about to kill Prahlada. There and then from out of nowhere appeared Narasimha and killed Prahlada`s demonic father. If you want to get rid of demonic spirits, just invite Narada Muni regularly into your life and you are assured these demonic spirits won`t bother you anymore. ------

Why I became lukewarm with Christianity is because Catholics and protestants argue with whom they worship whether its Mother Mary or God the Father. The same with Hinduism. Hindus argue if Durga is more of Vishnu-shakti than shiva-shakti. Blah blah.We have forgotten that devotion to God can never take place if we don`t put LOVE at the center. ----

Take an example. Dhruva. The boy was only 4 years old and yet he was a great devotee of the Lord. He was looking for a piece of glass but when he couldn`t find it, he did penance by holding his breath and closing all the pores in his body like he was trying to commit suicide. What he did caused earthquakes on earth. The demigods were alarmed. They had to approach Vishnu and asked the Lord to pacify Dhruva. Vishnu obliged by appearing before Dhruva. When Dhruva saw the Lord. He became sober and stopped what he was doing. And said to the Lord that he doesn`t want anymore that piece of glass he was looking for and that he was satisfied just to see ultimately the Lord. My point here is that we don`t have to do another Dhruva just to see the Lord. Chanting the Lord`s holy names is enough. ---

You mean Krsna never got sick all his life? That Krsna never needed the help of a doctor? If that`s that case then there`s no substance to the name Dhanvantari. -----

We should not take pity on Karna. Because anyone killed by Krsna or Krsna`s devotee achieves liberation. I can`t count how many demons were liberated after being killed by Krsna & Rama. Take note of Bhisma who is a great devotee of Krsna. He`s only bad luck was he was on Duryodhana`s side. Bhisma could have killed Arjuna instantly when Arjuna`s chariot broke and yet Krsna saved Arjuna from Bhisma`s arrows because Arjuna was a devotee. Krsna lied to Bhisma that he would not interfere in the Battle at Kuruksetra. It`s not Karna I pity in that story but Bhisma because Bhisma was also a devotee of Krsna. And Krsna chose to save Arjuna instead of Bhisma because the former was on His side.

Sambya, a self-realized soul is never against anything. He`s only against souls who know only hate not love. -

The concept of Kapila`s sankya philosophy and Taoism maybe more or less is the same. In my country, the Philippines, we have the concept of malakas(male- meaning strong) and maganda(female-meaning beautiful)-said to be mankind`s origin. Just like Adam and Eve in the Bible. In short the concept and philosophy of Durga & Krsna/ Radha & Krsna as the cause of the universe is a universal one. In that case, then nobody I think has the monopoly to state that he/she alone knows absolutely the Absolute Truth. -----

Was it Srila Prabhupada who said that the moment a sincere devotee chants the Lord`s holy names, "Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare/ Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare," God`s form immediately is present in the sincere devotee`s tongue? In other words, God`s holy name is more powerful than God`s form since God will never manifest himself before his devotee without first chanting His holy names. ------

In other words the concept of prakrti(female) and purusa(male) as the cause of the universe according to Kapila`s sankhya philosophy is to a Chinese Tao, the yin(female) and yang(male) components of the Absolute Truth. -------------------------

Sambya, I fully respect what you believe. If your comfortable with advaita then be one with Brahman rather than slam literally the plane your piloting into a building in New York, USA. But to those who loves Bhakti, I can`t blame them if they call themselves servant and associates of Bhagavan. The pure devotees of Bhagavan are fully dependent on His instructions whereas those who want to be one with Brahman need not. -----

Then there`s really no distinction between Catholicism and Hinduism. Catholics worship Mother Mary on equal footing with God the Father. Some Hindus worship Durga on equal footing with Krsna. Catholics worship also saints while Hindus worship. demigods. --

Durga maintains and sustains the cosmic manifestation but she is also a destroyer. Radha doesn`t have this quality. Just like Krsna. He uses Lord Siva to destroy. Brahma to create and Vishnu to maintain the cosmic manifestation. If Durga has all of this three qualities, then there`s no need for me to worship Krsna because Durga is greater than Krsna. ----

Sambya, advaitists love to tan their skin under the heat of brahman`s effulgence. In the end they acquire skin cancer. Whereas, dvaitists use umbrellas(Krsna consciousness). ---

Jeffster, now I`m begining to see a glimpse of who I am in Krsna`s lila story. My role may not be this big but I`m happy to have served Krsna as his doctor-friend. ----

Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was described by his followers as Radhakrsna but never Durgakrsna maybe it`s because Durga would best fit with Siva or with Balarama. It`s Durga who destroys not Radha. ----

There`s always bollywood if it`s hard to produce a Krsna lila movie in hollywood. What ever happened to the word INTERNATIONAL. If Srila Prabhupada were alive today, I`m sure he would love to produce a hollywood-based Krsna movie. He would hire Leonardo Di Caprio to play the part of Balarama and a well-known Indian actor to play the role of Krsna. ---

Bhaktajan, children just love to daydream. In fact, they consider this so-called reality a fantasy. Take for example Christmas. To them the spirit of Christmas is a dream come true. But for most adults Christmas is a salary bonus, a 14th month pay. ----
