UCCH bhang yoga.

Dear all ,


"Uccha Bhanga" is an undesirable disposition of planets. It happens
when two exalted planets aspect each other.

There is a saying in Tamil, "Ucchan Ucchanai parthal Jathagan pichhai
eduppan". The rough translation of the same is " when an exalted
planet receives the aspect of another exalted planet the native
becomes a beggar".

Dr. B.V. Raman describes this disposition, as Uccha Bhanga Yoga and
is bad. He was of the view that the native heads for bankruptcy.

It is not uncommon to see in charts that when Jupiter is exalted in
Cancer and Mars is exalted in Capricorn.

What happens when 1.Exalted Jupiter aspects the debilitated Moon in Scorpio 2.Debilitated Mars aspects debilitated Sun in Libra while Sat debilitated in Aries.
Please help.

When a uucha planet becomes retro it does act as debilitated

I think it depends on the nature of the planets involved in the opposition. Exalted Sun and Saturn opposite each other destroy each other. I think exalted Mars and Jupiter are okay...At least that is what I have observed...

Just out of curiosity, the below horoscope has saturn and sun exalted and opposing each other. The native is doing very very well with good higher education and a very lucrative job and settled in united states.

Could it be something else in his chart that bestowed these successes?

It is indeed an Interesting chart. Mercury is in house of enemy that too at the border of 11H. Jupiter weak, retrograde in 6H. Rahu in Gemini in Lagna helping for sure. I think Retrograde Saturn may have to do something with this, as Retrograde exalted planets behave in very different way.

I hope Respected Gurus will throw some light on this matter.

Respected Sandhu jee/Atul jee,

In the naitive's chart retrograde exalted saturn is in 4th house & exalted sun is in 10th house. His birth detail are POB....Lucknow, DOB...14th April 1984 and TOB ..1.15 pm. The native is doing fine & is pesently working abroad. I would request Amateur & Sandhu jee to analyse this chart as a study case. He also has exalted venus in 9th house & Mars & Jupitar in own houses.

UCCH bhang yoga. In the naitive's chart retrograde exalted saturn is in 4th house & exalted sun is in 10th house (Ucch bhang yoga). His birth detail are POB....Lucknow, DOB...14th April 1984 and TOB ..1.15 pm. The native is doing fine & he is presently working abroad. As mentioned it occurs when 2 exalted planets aspect each other her as u mentioned abt chaya graha (rahu ketu)

As per my view it wont happen as rahu has 7th dristi but ketu does not have any dristi

Respected swapnil ji,

As you know, Aspects of chhaya grah is controversial subject. So, If we consider that Rahu or Ketu has aspects, then do they make a ucch bhang yoga?
