Hi Nikki

I think it is only natural for family to protect one another. I don't think

I'll ever come to the States - too far for me, but heavies can be hired you

know :-)

Ah and perhaps I misunderstood what you meant by:

" > You must have a different Bad Company than our Bad Company because

the lead singer, well no one at all from the band was named Paul

Roger. "

I thought that you meant the band itself and then after replying

thought perhaps there were two bands with the same name. Which would

be quite possible.

fer my side...it didn't have much of a peer pressure issue to it...

i could care less wot others thought of me......

i was the only kid in my skool with *funny* hair..and dealt with it, generally

(sorry, couldn't resist!)

I do know what you mean though, it is that natural motherly instinct

I think Fraggle meant more from a cultural stand point that it was

strange to him. Most teens in the US want nothing to do with their

parents in a public setting. It's a peer pressure / independence type

thing.

I do have to say though that I know Peter is well aware of how you

Hi Jo

LOL - I never even thought of it that way!

I think you would make an excellent Gramma! Not thinking of a Gramma

as the traditionally pictured older blue-haired lady who sits in a

rocker all day.

More like a cool Gramma who could hang out. Someone who could be a

good friend, lend advice, hang out and have a supportive role as

well.

Zak likes metal too amongst other music - the three of us would

definately have fun!

Yes, I do think I would have a great time with you at a concert!

Now, ya see, the problem is that prenatally he probably had the same

reaction to opera that I did. It probably made his soon to be teeh ache <g>

when we lived in the Bay Area, we went to the symphany and opera and ballet

on a regular basis. I loved the symphany and ballet but hated the opera!

Muscials, I love. Even operetta I can enjoy but I hated opera!

I like a lot of country but can't stand George Jones. The man is obnoxious

and couldn't carry a tune with two people to help him carry the basket!

Leann Rymmes or however the heck you spell her name has a beautiful voice

and can cover 3 octaves!

I guess what I like is individual musicians and singers. Although I

generally see rap as crap!

It's ok Fraggle, i do know what you mean! And I don't think it is a

bad thing you and your father didn't hang out. I think it is a good

thing Jo did with her kids.

But mayhaps you want to start a new trend... like for instance you

can borrow the Zak Man and take him out.

I agree! We went to see them after the album after Black and were

quite disappointed. It was our own fault really. We kept waiting to

hear a good song and they only played two older ones at the end.

The rest of the concert was decent tho!

Hi Nikki

I think we saw them once after the Load album, but it wasn't as good.

The best concert of theirs was one a few years before when they did 3

hours solid :-)

Hi Jo / Anouk

I don't mind some country either.

I basically love to move and dance, so if it has a rythm I can get

into, I love it.

I just love music! It moves me.

LOL! But you see Jo, I wouldn't fear the heavies.

It's the loving protective Mom's ya have to watch out for. They

fight with their lives.

Don't worry. I promise that we will not hurt him in any way. We'll

even send pics to you of what a great time he is having seeing the

sights. ;)

Just kidding - I could never do that. And I know that you know that,

but there is always that fear in the back of people's minds.

Especially on a travel of that distance.

Besides, even though there is a lot to do here in Chicago and by

Fraggle, after awhile everyone wants to be home.

Silly, Fraggle. Whaddja do, drive a car with California plates! If you

drive in TX you have to either drive something that does NOT have CA plates

OR drive a 4x4 pulling a horse trailer! Works every time!
