Dear Deepak Ji,

// Very close aspect of rahu from the house of disease to mercury caused skin problem. Venus, the other factor is strong.//

I do not understand the Venus connection here. What other factor?

Dear Neelam Ji,What could be a better example than the one you presented below.Further to your knowledgeable inputs, just a few words about the diseases -Very close aspect of rahu from the house of disease to mercury caused skin problem. Venus, the other factor is strong.Same mercury is responsible for her asthma problem as the other factor moon is quite strong.Best Regards,Deepak Sharma

Dear All,8.5.1954/10. 40/DelhiCancer Lagna and an exalted Sun in 10H with Mercury. Close, less than 1 degree combustion. The lady belongs to a very high flying top service family. Father had been posted as Governor, basically a foreign service man, but reached high in his career. He is still alive at 96.The lady suffers from skin problems and asthma from a very young age. Lost her brother when very small. She is a writer and an author of a few books.I feel intelligence shines through when Sun is near Mercury, hence we have the Nipun yoga, budha aditya yoga, etc. But Sun is dry, separative planet. Might separate from relatives represented by mercury and its house placement, if other factors are also present. Also causes divorce in 7H/with 7L. Skin is often dry and itchy. One gets hyper easily or is hot tempered and gets verbose when in rage, may not be able to express properly or start stammering when excited, get to

wrong decisions, etc., are some noteworthy points.RegardsNeelam

Mercury Combust will normally give in problems due to-1) defective speech.2) wrong expressions.3) difficulty in putting across ones views.4) delayed culmination of point no.35) Stammering.6) Unable to convey exactly what one wishes to, at first go.The degree of above will vary in every individual depending oninfluences, aspects, strength and other factors.Do not forget though, that notwithstanding above one must not jump tojudgemental conclusions, because we have the best speakers, singers, vocalists, speakers in public Life who have all of above, but notnoticeable.regards/Bhaskar.

Neelamji,

In which dasa did the lady write her books? Did she get or not get a great deal

of recognition for these books? I ask because there are no yogas connected with

Mercury other than budha aditya yoga.

Dear Manoj Ji,Good Healthy skin is a part of beauty (Venus) :-)Even the planets representing "blood" should also betaken into account as blood has an important role in the formation of skin. So, close affliction of rahu to sun may also be a contributory factor here for skin problem.Best Regards,Deepak SharmaManoj Chandran <chandran_manojTo:

Dear Punit ji,This is the beauty of astrology. How else we can cover the entire spectrum of physical, mental and spiritual experiences of human beings with just 9 planets and 12 houses.

Mercury in swakhestra with 5L Sun is an excellent combination and as a trinal lord Sun would boost up Mercury's karakatwas. These are the good effects of mer-sun conjuntion. What is the difference in mer-sun longitudes you've not mentioned. But a careful balancing must be done because certain significations might still suffer. All planets are responsible for some good effects, but also some bad effects. Communication will surely get better as Sun is also lord of bhavat bhavam in this case and give good oratorial skills and glorious way of expressing oneself. Your father should be a good writer too and would have excellent command over language/s.

See Bhaskar ji's case too, where Mercury is in Gemini with Lagna lord Sun. His communication skills are greatly enhanced and he writes extensively with clarity of thought. I am sure he must be vocal too as mercury is his 2L too (etro mercury notwithstanding).

But you may like to notice the effects of combustion more carefully. See in which areas Sun is likely to give his heat, dryness and separative tendencies to mercury for 3H. RegardsNeelam

DEAR NEELAMJIThanks for your excellent replyMy father  has combust Mercury with Sun in Gemini along with Venus ,lagna is AriesHis speech is cystral clear and he speaks so well that he can get any work done by his sweet speech.

His powers of judgement is too good and his judgement about people is very accurateMaybe because  his intimate friend Venus is here bad  effects of Combust Mercury are minimal. Regards

Dear Bhaskarji,

Sun + Mercury Budhaditya Yoga is considered only if Mercury deg is more than Sun.

I thought that is the rule.

Pls correct me if wrong as you mentioned that the person with Mercury deg less than Sun is smarter.

Plus Budhditaya Yoga could well be one of the commonest Yoga's as Sun and Mercury are always within a few degrees of each other. There may/will be cases of Sun and Mercury in different Zodiacs but chances of them in yuti also high.

Thanks & Regards

Two natives born with Sun and Mercury together-

For one native Mercury rises after the Sun has risen.

For the other, The Sun rises after Mercury has risen.

In former case Longitude of Mercury is lesser than that of the Sun.

In latter case Longitude of Mercury is more than the Sun.

Who will be more intelligent among the two ?

Answer - The former native.

Dear Bhaskar ji,Thanks for confirming. Mercury in own house with lagna lord must give good effects for its other house too. But may be because of Sun, the throat has some general dryness or the voice is hoarse?

I feel for most practical purposes, combustion may be treated just as any other conjunction where both planets impact each other’s significations depending upon their strengths and lordships. But Sun being Sun, the natural atmakarak, must bestow something special to the planet which is close to it. If we believe that no planet is bad, and ultimately one is led towards the purpose of the soul through an interplay of these planets, we may get to the role played by the Sun when it takes a particular planet under its fold.

We need to wear glasses when the Sun shines too brightly or when Sun is too far and there is darkness our pupils dilate to enhance the visibility. For all in-between situations, we’ve got the facility of blinking and adjusting!

Hope that makes sense.RegardsNeelam

Dear Chiranjiv ji,

I have taken this point many times before too in various other Jyotish

forums from time to time. Since Mercury is close to the Sun, one would

find almost 70-80% Horoscopes with this Yuti. But this does not mean

that everyone has Budhi-aditya Yoga. Consider it only to manifest if it

is appearing in the signs, Gemini,Virgo or Leo.

Again degrees wise, the nearer a boy and girl are together, the better

love vibes flow between them. In same way the more the near each of them

are, Sun and Mercury within this Yuti the better would be the effects of

the Yoga. It is as simple as the remote control, it does not work after

a certain range though both the TV and the remote may be pla ced in the

same room.

Budhi aditya Yoga in Shastras is said to be there when both Planets are

placed in same Raashi. What I have mentioned above may not be found in

the Texts. But that is logic.

regards/Bhaskar.

Dear Manoj Ji,Good Healthy skin is a part of beauty (Venus) :-)Even the planets representing "blood" should also betaken into account as blood has an important role in the formation of skin. So, close affliction of rahu to sun may also be a contributory factor here for skin problem.

One gets hyper easily or is hot tempered and gets verbose when in rage, may not be able to express properly or start stammering when excited, get

to wrong decisions, etc., are some noteworthy points.RegardsNeelam

Mercury Combust will normally give in problems due to-1) defective speech.2) wrong expressions.3) difficulty in putting across ones views.4) delayed culmination of point no.35) Stammering.6) Unable to convey exactly what one wishes to, at first go.The degree of above will vary in every individual depending oninfluences, aspects, strength and other factors.Do not forget though, that notwithstanding above one must not jump tojudgemental conclusions, because we have the best speakers, singers, vocalists, speakers in public Life who have all of above, but notnoticeable.regards/Bhaskar.

Dear Neelam ji,

If you listen to me singing you will think he is re-born Kishore Kumar

(I am serious now and not joking) humbly speaking, with no pride. This

is to confirm that I have no dryness or hoarseness.

But yes, at times when I take ice in drinks I may be vulnerable to

immediately develop a sore throat and hoarseness the next morning 7 out

of 10 times. So normally I avoid absolute cold water but take half cold

and normal (Mix). By the way last night too I had taken ice in my drink

and today morning have got a bad throat now.

Yes, when I shout and fight with somebody when I am out of my house, the

public will collect, because my voice is too loud at such times, and

after few hours my voice becomes hoarse. Normally these days I rarely

fight , because do not move out, and if somebody from the family comes

out with me (This too they rarely do because no one wants to visit a

public place with me), then I am kept in control. Specially by my son.

(Mercury is son, the prince).

In LalKitab if a person drinks with Sun and Mercury in the 11th then it

is bad for health of the son.

Mercury also represents watches. As well as son. When the wall clock in

the house or for that matter any other watch, alarm clock etc, are

stuck, then one must immediately change the batteries for a stopped

watch stops the progress of the son.

regards/bhaskar.

And is it the hair on the face of a female who is little masculine type

or the hair on her little moustache? Would Saturn in Taurus in second

house of a Aries ascendant lady bring this about ? (Just imagining).

Hi,How about debilitated mercury, that too gives the same effect. I have seen in the horoscopes of a couple of my friends, their thoughts and speech appear to be on a perpetual Non- cooperation movement.Regards,Anita--- On Sun, 6/12/09, Bhaskar <bhaskar_jyotish wrote:Bhaskar <bhaskar_jyotish Re: Is Mercury to be considered as Combust ? Mercury Combust will normally give in problems due to-

1) defective speech.

2) wrong expressions.

3) difficulty in putting across ones views.

4) delayed culmination of point no.3

5) Stammering.

6) Unable to convey exactly what one wishes to, at first go.

The degree of above will vary in every individual depending on

influences, aspects, strength and other factors.

Do not forget though, that notwithstanding above one must not jump to

judgemental conclusions, because we have the best speakers, singers,

vocalists, speakers in public Life who have all of above, but not

noticeable.

Dear friend,

As per BPHS and other standard jyotish texts Chandra Navamsa

as well as Navamsa of Mercury rules over our skins.

Venus/Libra/7th house cusp in female charts rules over their feminine hormones

and

affliction to them....

the hormonal disturbances related to them

that sometimes casues musculine hairs upon female body.
