  1. I think it's funny how your only insight is mine.
  2. "Demon crazy. Rather then the head leading, giving direction and guidance, we have the head of iskcon following their ass to toilet while their own ass is excreting stool in their own faces. Current GBC management Ki-Jail. (yes, that is jai with an "L" on the end)" Now this is probably the vilest post on this board. Theist, how do you justify this afer your reprimands on me? JNdas, where is your editing prowess? And the others, silence is quiet complicity. I see hypocrisy and double standards evident here. Krsna is showing you the truth in my words… "what a bunch of clowns."
  3. Thanks for the "our mission" link above. Good writing, great ideas. I'm beginning with the home page.
  4. Stonehearted, I am not surprised you have trouble with this because you are an English teacher. I would call the originals anything Prabhupada authorized to copy and print. And even some of these were suspect because Prabhupada discovered and demanded the changes be reverted to his original prose. I don't know enough of the process and history to make judgements myself. But there are those who do and should intelligently act if they haven't already. Again, anything Prabhupada authorized as his own material is bona-fide. The rest... ? But let's keep the originals preserved without adulteration.
  5. Guest, you stated: "This is the reason I didn't like Jayadwaita Swami's editing of the Bhagavad Gita. It set a precedent, that the books can indeed be revised with permission from the GBC. With this precedent in hand, no doubt they will be revised again. And again. Until they meet the expectations of today's and tomorrow's generations of Iskcon followers." So as some have done, we should all know what the originals are and personally preserve them in our own archives to preserve Prabhupada's presence. Likewise, I think it is prudent for JNdas and favorable devotees to do likewise with any original texts or copies of texts that exist in Inida from the Vedas, etc. These literatures need to be protected as if they were God Himself.
  6. Now this is a man after my own heart: "We don't want to offend the beligerent faithless non-devotees, no matter how utterly vile we offend our spiritual master. Offending Radharani's pure servant, Srila Prabhupad, no big deal, but we must not offend the atheistic adharmic feminists or the gays and lesbians, etc. Demon crazy. Rather then the head leading, giving direction and guidance, we have the head of iskcon following their ass to toilet while their own ass is excreting stool in their own faces. Current GBC management Ki-Jail. (yes, that is jai with an "L" on the end)" I'm just wondering why none of you civil devotees are complaining about it. You have to see my avatar on it? Play the game.

  8. I want to manifest an image before I reply to this. Isn't it true that Garuda, the mount of Visnu, eats meat on a regular basis? And didn't the Lord once offer Garuda his own flesh from His arm so Garuda could eat? It really comes down to this: Is Bhaktivinode the real thing? Did he really deserve his reputation as a pure devotee? Because that is the dividing line. Pure devotees are purported to be above all faults by our philosophy and spiritual wisdom. They are able to please the Lord and that's all that matters. Our opinions are worthless. If you believe he was a pure devotee as history has recorded, then it is offensive to conjecture. If you want to talk as a novice trying to understand the fine points of duality and circumstance, that's something else. I'll share a very strong realization I had related to this: (That should be good for a laugh. Huh?) When the soul finally reaches Krsna's lotus feet and finds shelter there, when he is again engaged in intimate reciprocation between the Lord and His devotees through samadhi and all that, at some transitional point from material to spiritual, all his previous activities become meaningful and spiritualized––even though they be considered sinful by mundane discourse. I am speaking of a retroactive principle. The reason for this is simple and obvious: Everything you expereienced and reacted to contributed to your success. I posted this as a quick reply to the originator. I glanced at some replies. Now that I am reading this thread thoroughly, I find many meritorious ideas here from the devotee community. I'm not really responding to you Theist. I know you agree. I just happened to click on your post.
  9. Guest, actually you are incensed with anger and maybe envy. Yes, probably envy. You––as many other here have done––are now attributing qualities and motives to me I don't have. How childish! My fault is asking, "Why did you say that?" My lack of social skills compliments the encouragement "explain yourself." I simply laugh at people like you who go haywire over your own words when echoed back to you. You become incensed at your own foolishness and attribute that to me. You are a hypocrite to get off topic and name–call just because you're exposed as a cheater. I could do the same to you, but then you'd really have a legitimate complaint. You indirectly compliment me. You feel smug and comfortable with the immoral majority. Well, so does the world as it glides toward hell.
  10. Well, that's the judgement of a novice who can't even explain what he's explaining. Simply bluff and pride; while criticizing others of the same. Actually, you are showing everyone how little you do know and understand by how incompetent you are to follow this coversation. You won't intimidate people here with your 'ol changover tactics. We know our position and your opinion is not going to change it unless you can speak more authoritatively. You're beginning to sound younger and less experienced every moment.
  11. The logic my dear simple theist, is that I and most of this boards participants have moved way beyond the limited Christian concepts. People who don't know often think "nobody knows." And you continue to bluff. Cut and paste with your explanations! Stop bluffing! I can tell at a glance because I am expert––by your standards––as alot of these members are.
  12. Ok, for the sake of consistency. Equate your meanings with specific texts to be authoritative. Honestly, I didn't have the interest in reading it after I began. I tried. But I found it very esoteric. Actually, it leaves alot of room for interpretatin as the direct meanings are indirect… kind of like Nastradamas's prophecies. Make your specific case and I will bother to substantiate your meanings. Cut and paste from scripture with your meanings. Make an authoritative presentation.
  13. Of course I did say "mumbo-jumbo" as you not so surrepititiously point out. And I mean it. Because I say the meaning is not clear does not mean I discount it. I am simply implying that the antiquated and vague dialogue is not so relevant to Vaisnavas. And I think too that this scriptural reference to an incarnation is not so relevant if it is vague. We do know the Bible has been interpreted and changed by many over the years. But since you are attentive and understand this dialogue, tell me more and stop bluffing. There's alot of scriptural text above. All you can say about it is there's a reference to an incarnation? Obviously you can simply things for our understanding. Just be a little more specific. Now how many times will I have to ask?
  14. No, you misunderstand me as alot of people here do. I didn't refute what was said above. I simply asked you to explain it in layman's terms so that the meaning is more evident. Where is the confusion? Calm down and re–read the posts. Then make your professed explanations about this religious scriptural dialogue. (But you won't)
  15. I have a good sense of humor. I cut jokes and laugh––even at people here. I just think bluffing and showing other disregard for important evidence is foolish. Do you mean triviality or humor? For example, this world is so silly and negligent that people––including Christians––may know who won the world series, but not who God is.
  16. Well that's just great. But where do you find the practicality if you can't even express what you understand about Christian scripture? You understand or believe or whatever but you can't formulate a cohesive thought? That happens sometimes. It's just not very useful for understanding important existential concepts.
  17. You are dodging (like I knew you would).
  18. He ran from John. John played a new song about frustration and drug jonesing to Prabhupada on a tape (can't remember the name) when the event happened. He had a general comment that Yoko did not like the Krsna's because it would take John's attention away from her. But let's not get off the subject. Show your expertise and understanding. But you won't.
  19. Prabhupada felt aghast at John and ran from him and his activities while staying as his guest at his mansion. Anyway, please explain your understanding in common dialogue so we can all understand it. Don't just cop out with saying you know. Explain it for the layman.
  20. We tolerate this stuff so as not to be sectarian. We know God and His various religious manifestations have their purpose according to time and circumstances. But is this scriptural reference significant dialogue for the Vaisnava? Who here can make any sense out of this? Come on, does any Vaisnava really feel any empathy for this mumbo–jumbo? Respond as your conscience dictates, but respond as a political correct democracy. Right?
  21. You certainly can't exploit God and use His name as blackmail because it is nondifferent from Him. The process is surrender to the Holy Name or God, there is no difference. This is another demoniac idea of enlisting God to do your bidding. Uh, for all the amateurs out there. I'm not calling you a demon Mark. I think you're just poseing a question. But it is a demoniac idea.
