The spirit of Sâmkhya is to put reason above the authority of Scriptures. Sâmkhya used reason in an awkward way, but it deserves nonetheless our respect. What they deserve is a Mental Ward. /images/graemlins/wink.gif What do you meant that they use reason in an awkward way? As far as I know, reasons can only be used in one way - Rational Way. If you KNOW that Samkya uses reasons in a wrong way and their teaching is "wrong", then don't expect others to respect them. That's NOT rational ... maybe I shouldn't be talking to you about rationalism. What you asking us to do (in respecting them) is like asking us to pardon theives for stealing because he is too poor which is rational (but not too clever to find work)

Its tenets are hopelessly false, but what matters is the spirit of Sâmkhya. Same as what Ravi said. What is the use of Spirit of Samkya when you know its tenets (principles?) is false? Same as what Christians say about their religion - the teaching is corrupted but what important is Jesus sacrified himself. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

««« The true reincarnating entity is the causal body, wherein our karmic impressions are stored. There is not a simple correspondence of one soul or causal body or physical body. It is possible for one soul to take more than one birth at the same time, either high or low. »»» This is concept of Rebirth - Buddhist Concept. If the Soul is just one, then there should be one existence. However, if existence is just physical aspect (no Soul, just habits/karma of pervious existences), then more than one existence is possible. Imagine a person who has multiple personality. Some personalities have no recollection of other personalities but still conduct on a way where it will not go above the line which will bring direct contact with the other personalities. We all have two personalities in one body (not Soul but personality). When we are calm and happy, we do one thing and when we are angry, we do something which is opposite to what we usually do when we are calm.

Why don't you people read this first and know the Origin of Act of Renunciation of the World? Source :http://forum.cari.com.my/forumdisplay.php?fid=185 [Note : the following statements are my own deduction on various religions existed. ] Vamana Avatar and Practitioners of Renouncing the World. One of the smaller branch of Hindusm are Sannyasi - a group of men who choose to renounce the World and live in state of Celibacy. They will concentrate themselves toward God and Religion and leave behind Family life and such. Buddhism is considered one of this practise as well, especially among Buddhist Monks. Now, for a long time now, I was wondering about some questions about them. Questions are : 1. Where did this practise came from? - Some puranas did mentioned methods of Renouncing the World but not in detail so there is no exact purana from which it was based on. Bhavagad Gita itself is addressed to Laymen who wish to indulge in the Worldly Affairs (as practised by most Humans nowadays). 2. What is the starting point of Sannyasi practise? - Like I said before, some puranas state about the practise but none can be said to be the source of them. 3. Where did the clothing and methods of Sannyasi used came from also? 4. Where did the Spiritual Aspects comes from? 5. And most importantly, what are the proper Spiritual aspect a Sannyasi should follow? Unknowingly, while I was researching Vamana Avatar, I think I finally found this answer. Answer to Question 1 : Vamana Purana is source for the Practise of Sannyasi. - In Vamana Avatar, Lord Vishnu took the form of a Drawf, left His parents (after receiving their blessing) and went into the World. In same manner, Sannyasi and Buddhist Monks are required to (voluntarily) leave the Family them know behind and go to the world. In some Sannyasi groups, family men who left their families without their consent (like leaving behind young wife and little children) will be asked to return back because such practise will only burden the Seeker of truth and prevent him from reaching the highest level of renounching. Even Gautama Buddha who left behind His wife and children, did so because His father and Family wouldn't had let Him go. In the end, He came back to them, and teach them about Truth (not because He wanted His family back, but because He wanted to liberate His family as well ... a Responsible Action). Answer to Question 2 and 3 : Unfortunately, I cannot answer this because Hindusm is a timeless religion which started when the First Man is born on this Planet. So who knows who are the First Sannyasi because, as puranas stated, many Asharams had couples living together and worshipping God. ( We could use such Ashrams nowadays in Malaysia. ) However, according to the 10 Avatars, Vamana Avatar is considered the FIRST Birth Lord Vishnu had as a Human (all others are different organisms), so in the way, Vamana Avatar Himself can be consider the First Human Sannyasi (and probably the First Buddha as well). Also, Vamana Avatar fits perfectly as a Human. Humans born the same way Vamana Avatar did, grows up and matures fast (of compared to Asuras and Dewas) in relatively short period of time - 15 years or so (where they become sexually matured). Humans are weak physically - have no natural defense against Nature and its other occupants which is what Vamana Avatar's drawfy form supposed to indicate, also the required for Vamana Avatar to seek blessing and alms from others to survive. Humans are naturally (born) peaceful and happy (unlike some religion stating that they burdened with Original Sins), which is what the easy-going attitude of Vamana Avatar supposed to present. By renouncing the World, Sannyasi can retain that Child-like attitude and be happy and peaceful till the end of his time. So, all this shows that Vamana Avatar is the starting point of Sannyasi Practise (and probably Buddhism as well). Answer to Question 4 : Spiritual Aspects of Sannyasi Practise. For me, this is the deepest and the one which everyone should think about. Many people and groups in the World today renounce the World by stating that the World is full of suffering and corrupted and they wanted to reach God by obtaining Moksha. Is this a proper way of Sannyasi? By discarding the World and seeking God for his own selfish need to be saved? Is this what Gautama Buddha taught as Buddhism? Is this what Vamana Avatar showed? Answer - I could say No. What people and some groups are practising today is different from what the Spiritual Aspects of Renouncing the World supposed to be. It is heavily influenced by Islam and Christianity (no offense attended) which views the World as a dirty and disgusting place and the goal of Living was to escape from this Prison. First of all, Renouncing the World means you seeks to deattach yourself from the World emotionally and seeks to find God (in Buddhism - Sense of Enlightnment). You don't renounce the world by stating it is dirty and disgusting and you want to avoid living in it. That is not the method of Renouncing. When Vamana Avatar took His Drawf form, everyone was surprised and asked why Lord Vishnu took this small form which hardly suits a battle which required to take back what Pali had taken from the Dewas. And what did Lord Vishnu answered - He came not to fight but to BEG. He Himself didn't follow what the Dewas expected of Him to do and made His own actions and Rules. Same way, just because the World is ugly, you don't have to make it even uglier by acting Selfishly. Actions of Seeking God while your fellow Men suffering is Action of a Selfish person. This is NOT what Vamana Avatar showed and this is NOT Sannyasi practise or Buddhism for that matter. In His "battle" with Pali, what Vamana Avatar asked was very little - but what He gave was a lot. He reestablished Kingdom of Heaven back to the Dewas and made the World His. He send Pali (who become His devotee) to the Underworld where Pali ruled in His name while awaits His return (which He did in Ramayana). In the whole "battle" - no violence is used and everyone had received what they required. What does this have to do with Sannyasi and Buddhism? In the similar way, this two groups have the strongest "weapon" and many of this groups doesn't know about it. While I studied Magic and its concept, I have came to conclude that Basic of ALL Magic is FAITH (Keter - highest level in Tree Of Life). It is Faith which brought together and combine all the other elements in. Same way, Faith generates Merits (Punya - Pahala) as result of their actions and beliefs. Compared to most Humans who struggle through Life and have no Faith, Sannyasi and Buddhist Monks have more Faith than them. WHY? Because they believe so much that they willing to renounce the World to follow what they believe in and if that is not Faith, I don't know what is. It's similar to a Warrior - he must believe in his skills, knowledge and physical abilities in facing the enemy if he was to survive and win. Which is why I considered Buddha's Approach of Renouncing the World as Warrior's Way. A Sannyasi who lives for sake of the World will pray for the World, and give his Merits (Pahala - Punya) to the World so it will promote Goodness and Prosperity to all. He will become like a Tree which gives shade to others, fruits to eat, air to breath and sweet sight to behold. In the end, Faith in Spiritualism will bring him closer to God and in the end, lead him to Enlightnment. But Sannyasis nowadays mostly don't do this. They seek Enlightnment and Spiritual Advance but they themselves offers NOTHING to the World. It's like asking for something expensive when you have no money to pay for it. In the end, you ask and ask and ask, but receive nothing and make stupid statements that God don't exist because He never gave you what you seek. Buddhists also have fallen to trap of Atheism. They follow the same method as above, thinking that renouncing the World which they believe to be an illusion as proper methods of Buddhism; they meditate, discuss Sutras, debate and talk about peace when they do nothing for peace in higher level (of Spiritualism) and wonder forever why they never reached Enlightnment (reminds me of Ariya though. ). Lastly ... To ALL who wants to progress in Spiritualism :- Live FOR the World and Its people and you will find yourself closer to God. Be a tree which gives shade to others, Don't be weeds which nice to look at but gives nothing to the World. Muslims should work for thier community and their own people (instead of asking others to support them). Christians must take care their own problems before coming to other nations and try to convert others as if they themselves are saved. Hindus should stop trying to run from the World and start living for the World. And Buddhist should do the same things (since their goal is similar to Hindus as well).

There was no admission nor an attempt to prove that I'm an atheist. You already admitted you are Atheist earlier when you state you speak from an atheist mindset. How do speak in an atheist mindset if you are not an atheist yourself? Don't make excuse now ... you already admit your animalistic nature. So, go ... no use discussion human issues with animals. For your inoformation atheist are far more better people than you. They have much respect for fellow humans whereas people like you who pretend to be believers have no such respect. Like I said ... Atheists are ANIMALS. They can talk all they want on respect and nonsense like that but in the end, they have NO interest in anything than getting others to think like them. I had spent nearly a year in Atheists forum last time, discussion with them. Many of them simply people who didn't get the properly picture on religion and god, many even fooled by idiots like Priests and parishs who themselves have no knowledge of God. This sort of people willing to understand and open their mind. However, there some idiots who don't care about spiritualism and God. ALL they care is making excuse, then use it to self-indulge. They go to pubs, discos, fool around with women, drink like pigs, spend money indulging themselves while fellow men suffers and many things. When others tells them about Karma and Suffering they going to get by continuing to live like animals, they make all sort of nonsense like Karma is fairy tale to scare people and God is a boogeyman who old people used to scare kids. So trust me, I know what sort of animals atheists are.

The major reason is the belief our society had at that time that a woman gets twin children if she has slept with two men [ Refer Charak samhita & nakul and Sahdeva in Mahabharat who were twins due Madri sleeping with Ashwinikumars who were two.] What sort of idiocy is this? I don't remember hearing any nonsense from anywhere that those who had twins means they had slept with two men. If so, then Kundi Devi should have given birth to 5 children in one go because she married to 5 men. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

..what example did he set for the "grahasta jeevan" for a normal husband and wife by doing this act of agni pareeksha and also sending his wife away to the forest. Compared to Islamic Laws which state to stone women on suspicious of adultery, this is more humane. Also, compared to what Hindus (hell, most people are doing today), they are doing exactly what Sri Rama did. They exclude their wives who are suspected to be unloyal to them and many of them seek divorce. NO 1. He did not have faith in his wife???and his faith could only be restored only after his wife passed the agnipareeksha? How do you know? I said already, the test of fire is to prove to others on her chastice. And besides, like I said before, if He truly didn't believe her, He could have remarried (His father had 3 wives so it's not a big deal). Instead, He made gold statue of His wife and place it next to Him during the Horse Yajna. NO 2.He wanted to please the dhobi more even if it was at the cost of being unjust and totally unfair to his wife. No, what He did was to WAIT till Dharma return to Sita what was rightfully hers. The people of Ayodhya accuse her of being unpure when was with Ravana and for that, her own children had waged war, defeated the people of Ayodhya and defeated the heroes who were silent during her persecution. THAT is Dharma. Justice had pervailed toward the wrongly accused.

too bad ppl took his teachings and misunderstood them and distorted them to what they have become today... If you know that people distorted his teachings, then WHY are you still holding onto a distorted teachings? What is the logic of following a road which you KNOW leads nowhere? And what is the logic is knowing that the road you have taken leads to nowhere YET you preach to others to follow? Isn't that like the blind leading the blind?
-
Sorry, but just for debate I dewelled into the mind of an atheist. Finally, you came out and admit you are an atheist. Hmph, no wonder you gave me the impression I was talking to an atheist animal. No logic and intelligent at all. /images/graemlins/wink.gif Nothing more to say.

believe and have faith that KRISHNA will protect me and this humanity in all aspects and so iam sacirficing my deeds for Him and you believe in human strength and management of wealth and resources and so forth. I'm offering Sweets to Him and you are offering Poison to Him. THAT is the difference between you and me. I'm placing Him in a temple to be worship and you (like Arjuna the HUMAN) placing Him on your chariot so He can beat the horses and you just shake a leg and enjoy the view. My method is, I WORK for Him and I give my benefits and merits to Him. Your method is HE work for Himself and give YOU the benefits and merits to YOU (in form of a Vedic world). Man has been ruling the planet since time started, you see where we are today with the money and management and how the poor are getting poorer and the rich richer. Wrong, Poor get poorer and rich get richer because people works in Adharmic ways. Many books like History of South East Asia and such which I have read had descripted that the temples in Ancient India (before Muslims came) were full of gold and jewels and they just lying there without anyone wanting to steal them. People GAVE away their treasures and kept very little for themselves. THAT was Vedic land. Don't get influenced by Adharmic influences. Vedic people were good people who ensured that suffering didn't occur in their land. So tell me what is so different putting some laks of rupees in an existing system or creating a new one where again man will be involved and wrong will prevail cos man has inherently downgraded himself to such greed, pride and lust that his brain can never think beyond his pleasure and his family. Sorry, I disbelieve that there is NO man who is pure at heart. Even the person who donated the money is pure at heart and if he was trained properly to distribute the wealth in name of God, he will do so happily. I don't believe that Man is corrupted to the point that EVERY man in the Planet is a greedy SOB. So, the conclusion, sacrifice to God and have FAITH and BELIEF that HE will take care rather than you using your small sums of money to help a few. Wrong ... because ANYONE can become a trustee for temples and ANYONE can call themselves Holy men and use that money. And even the government can take some, invest it as it likes and people like you have nothing to do to stop it. Question here is - you going to trust yourself with YOUR money to do good for others? Or are you going to trust others with your money to good for others? Lord Chaitanya said we have to become pure and then help others, are we pure?----i know iam not... You are not pure, that doesn't mean everyone in the world is not pure either. Stop thinking that just because you are sinning, others are sinning as well. This is what Srila Prabhupada taught and so i stick to it, Sorry, I don't believe in Srila Prabhupada. He's not my guru, anyone I know or anyone I accept as worthy to teach me. God is the only one I believe worthy to teach me. He says, "abandon all varities of religion and just surrender unto me, i will protect you from all your sins and take care of you" He said abandon varities of religion, He didn't say abandon duties to your people. You are abandoning the duties to your people and making excuse.

Your next life will be harsh: you're accumulating bad karma. Hmph ... go and worry about your own "karma". People who have no belief in Karma is teaching me to worry about mine. /images/graemlins/wink.gif But hell and karma are just inventions designed to deter weak people from sinning. Strong people behave rightly because they find goodness rewarding in itself. When you face Dharma Raja, tell him that. I'm sure he will find it laughable. /images/graemlins/wink.gif -

Who gave you Vedas and Gita? Vedas gave by Matsya Avatar after saving Man from the Flood. Gita was given by Sri Krishna in battlefield in Kuruskethra. You DENY both? Then it is you who are not Hindu here. You kiss up the butt of some Gurus you never even meet, levelling them and their words up to level of gods YET the very words of God (according to Hindusm) is damned as supernatural orgins. Sorry, you are not a Hindu. -

Gurus are to be respected. A Guru is a guide who teaches us the path to wisdom. ONLY fools believe in such. /images/graemlins/wink.gif Guru are to be respected - TRUE. But Guru will teach you path to wisdom? WRONG. He teach you knowledge, YOU find the Wisdom. Wisdom is not something can teach, it is something you think, understand and follow. If you cannot even know the difference between knowledge and Wisdom, I have nothing to say further. Yes, i agree thee are bogus Gurus but can you prove to me Swami Vivekananda, Ramakrishna Paramamsa, Ramalinga Swami or Sri Satia Sai Baba are bogus and in what way? No one said they are bogus and no one said they are great. I said condemning a Guru EQUALS to condemning Hindusm (as you stated) is BOGUS. As far as I know, all I need to know (about Hindusm) is in the Vedas and Gita, I don't need to follow some Human Guru to find wisdom. Sure, you are free to speak yoor thought and make whatever accusations you want but a true follower will know the truth which truth is hidden from you because of your ego. You speak as if you are a true follower. I will not be bothered with a person who has such delusion, thinking by following some Guru, he had become wise and in path to God. Go ... you in your own delusional path. -
As far as I know you're a COMIC hero dreaming of a saviour to defend the world. Just like the American's dream hero Superman. Then you know nothing. I'm no game hero, I was a game VILLIAN. I don't defend anyone, I came to destroy everyone. /images/graemlins/wink.gif So embracing Judaism may be your wish but you cannot be a Jew because you are not a Jew. Wrong again ... One can become Jew by circimscision and changing the name to the House of Abraham. Many ortodox Christians from Russia had become Jews in such way. Romans only punished him according to their laws but it was the Jews who committed him to the Romans. So, it was the Jews who have sinned. Wrong again. Judas (Christian) committed him to Romans. He was tried by Roman judge and executed according to Roman Laws. Since Jews never taken him as Son of a God, then I don't see why they are sinned in such way. Also, it is common for Messiahs to suffer in such way for the people so what Jesus did was nothing new. You may but I know more about Malaysia than you. You know NOTHING. That is fact. I ask you to do so because you are adamant in wiping out the Muslims and Christians from the face of this planet. Your preaching does not cary weight and so that would be a best choice for you now. Correction - Wiping out Muslims, Christians and USELESS Atheist animals. Let not forget about them, shall we? /images/graemlins/wink.gif And I really don't understand what you talking about. What choice? /images/graemlins/wink.gif

First of all he did an AGNI PAREEKSHA for her..why..he was unsure of sita maas character. No, He was sure of Sita Devi's characteristics. But it is those who are with Him who was unsure. And Fire is Sacred because no matter what you put inside, the Sacred Fire will burn and reduce it to ashes. When He put her through the test, it is to satisfy everyone of her characteristics. Also, you could ask WHY do He need to do such thing? Simple - the one who suffers the most in a family when been called unfaithful is NOT the husband but the wife. If society calls a husband unfaithful, the family will still be intact because the wife - symbol of chastice will be there to support the family. But if the wife is called unfaithful, the support will not be there. The wife will be tormented by those words and she will not perform her duties as mother, wife and family support. Take Mother of Avatar Parasurama (the pervious Avatar). She makes earth pots everyday for her husband using the virtue of her chastice. Then one day, she accidentally admired a young knight's reflection on the water and all the pots she made begin to break. She was in agony and turmoil and not sure what to do. Parasurama's father found out about this and could felt sadness of his wife. He commanded his three sons to come and asked one of them to go and kill his own mother. The first two decline and Parasurama agreed. He killed His own mother and return back and when His father asked what boon He wanted, He simply asked for His mother be restored to life (thus nullifying the sin of admiring the young knight's reflection). Even today, bad name to a woman in a family will ruin the family, so women are taken care with extra care and love (as stated in Manu Smirthi). And still he wasnt satisfied he sent his pregnant wife to the forest to be eaten up by wild animals(thankfully lakshman left her in a good place). The logic is he was being just to that dhobi..but at what cost he did so much injustice with his wife Again, you are looking at this in a wrong way. You ignored two things : 1. Despite of the test of Fire before, who still questioned Sita Devi's chastice? Sri Rama? Nope, people of Ayodhya. 2. What happened to the Children born from Sita Devi? They grow up big, strong and at young age, they managed to defeat EVERYONE and even tied up Hanuman and deliver him to their mother. What does this implies? That Sita Devi is a chastice woman and children born from her was Sri Rama's and they managed to bring justice to their mother which was not given by people of Ayodhya. So, this shows that when a chastice women is framed for something she didn't do, the sin will be fallen to those who framed her and justice will be given to those who are framed. Also, Sri Rama, IF He trully believed that Sita Devi was guilty, He could have married again (like what so many people doing today). He didn't. Matter a fact, He made gold statues of Sita Dewi to put aside Him during the Horse yajna (just before the battle with the children started).

Whoever despises Swami Vivekananda, Ramakrishna Paramamsa, Ramalinga Swami or Sri Satia Sai Baba also despises Hindus on the whole because our Gurus are all Hindus and when you spaeak against them you speak against Hinduism. WHERE did you get notions like this? You behaving like the Gurus are Gods which needs to be worshipped and followed blindly. THIS is not Hindusm. Your attitude is not Hindusm. Gurus CAN be questioned. Their teachings CAN be questioned. And if they don't follow what is Hindusm, then they CAN be discarded as false Guru. NO sin in that. Even Arjuna QUESTIONED Sri Krishna on who He was and Sri Krishna had answered properly. Is this Gurus above Sri Krishna that they cannot be questioned? -
Not to be rude or anything, but as you have all read many books and scripts on hinduism and other religions, if you were asked to summarise what you have learned.. what would you say? If I was too surmarize everything I read about Religion and God, then I could say that Religion is required to lead us to live with Nature. God is separate from Religion and Religion is just one methods to reach Him (BUT NOT THE ONLY METHOD). Living with Nature MUST be the purpose of Existence. Seeking Perfection in Ourselves MUST be the purpose of our Spiritualism. That's my Summary. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

i dont believe in supernatural beings like demons, with horns, or wierd scary faces, purple colored skin, 5 inch long claws, tails or any crazy "demons" that one would see in a hollywood movie. thats just a movie - not real life. You don't believe doesn't means they don't exist. Get that fact straighten. Whatever you believe or don't believe is no concern of others and it changes NOTHING. Perhaps that is one thing wrong with the Hindu culture. We are too quick to explain supernatural phenomenae mentioned in our ancient texts as being exactly literally real. We subconsiously seek approval for ourselves by not believeing that anything written in a "hindu" scripture could be faulty or misleading. Wrong again ... many of this events descibed in old Purana is very much to the facts. Again, you wish to ponder that the puranas is something else other than facts, that is your business. Asking us to believe what you think is facts is unethical. And for your information, MANY phenomenas like Simultaneous Combustion is explained in various puranas and it still puzzled some of the scientists today. Anyone using intellectual academics and logic can see that the term asura is basically the same as the Persian term ahura. How would you explain this Sephiroth? Did the Zoroastrians worship 'demons'? Which came first? Vedas or Zooastrians?

A gathering with fun events went in my office in the eve of new year today. I too have to same predicaments like this. I have went to "parties" (been dragged there is more like it) where young girls take centre stage and "dance" and men admire their bodies (and they seems to have no shyness). Matter a fact, they are boosting their own beauty in such way. I sat with men who drink alcholol (I have hypersenstive nose - the smell of alcholol makes me want to puke) and even invite me to drink. When I said "No", they laugh as if I was a coward who don't drink. Going to sexual oriented places (even just to look) is sign of manhood, according to them. Talking in stupid languages (you know, those words like F*&K and such) is sign of culture. Wearing idiotic clothes for purposes other than for comfort is "cool" (despite of showing various parts here and there). I know how it feels. Like been born in a World which is totally screwed up. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Anti-vedic ideologies, get out of Bharat.

If you ask them nicely, they will not go. KICK THEM OUT! If you have family members who are in other religions other than Hindusm, give the options to choose HIndusm OR Leave your household. If you have leaders who support other religions and condemn your own, give options to step down gracefully OR kick him out of the stage and replace it with Vedic believers. If you have a society in your country which is not Vedic society, cut it out and cast it out of India like what they did in 1940s. WHY must resources used to rebuilt India into a Vedic nation be used to support people who damn India for some Heaven after death? Finally, don't close yourselves to the outside world. Seek friends who have genuine interest in living in Peace in their own lands. Have friendship with them, not with this parasites from America who slowly stealing away the intelligent people from India to built their own nations.
