ALL work are clean work because you work for a honest living. I don't see how issue of no work don't seems to effect when male children are born but has an effect when girls are born. Additionally, all who protest abortion strongly, need to give promise to take care of the children slated for abortion while it is in the womb and after it is born. if they do not do it, then their protest really has no meaning. If so, then it is a family matter, not a world issue. MURDER IS the Country's issue. TAKING a LIFE IS a Country's Issue. I don't see just because the child (physical body) is yours, it gives you right to kill it as you see please. If you think like that, you might as well throw Hindusm out since Hindusm revolves around good Ethics and it is evidence you have NONE.

What I want to know is, why isn't there any jail sentences or punishment as such in India for abortion? In Western Society, debats goes on whether (according to Christianity) unborn babies have souls or not, but in Hindusm, that question had already answered. Why is there a punishment (even death penalty) for those who take other people's life YET no punishments for those who take unborn babies' life? Sorry, I don't see this as old story or one which already have an happy ending.

But an infinite number does not make sense. Your worries is fine IF there is only this World. Unfortunately, both Vedas and Science had shown that there are other Worlds, and other beings. Even Science go and formulate that there could even be Multiple Universes. So, Moksha from one world could mean that we could leave this world, and enter a new one. There, we could be given better understanding about God and new path to follow, ultimately leading to higher state of evolution (which is not possible in this World) and much closer to God and the cycle goes on and one till one day, this Universe will dissolve itself and we all gathered before Him. The point is NOT how many babies are aborted, but whether such practise happened or not. I don't see what's so important between getting the numbers correct when the fact remains is, this sort of practise DOES ruin Hindusm's name. [bG 2:69] I think when it stated that night for all being is time for awakening for self-controlled, it is like what Gautama Buddha did. In state of ignorance (night), the trully self-controlled one will know why people suffer as they do and become enlightnent due to others' suffering. Some people don't understand that humans suffer not because some jins, Satan, demons etc but due to their own ignorance and attachments (as stated in Gita), so when they see other who in this state suffer, they will remember what state in the Gita and understand what they did not in other times. But some people, due to influence of their own false belief, come to believe that living in a world which has false sense of peace is meaningful existence. Japan in late 1800s is a good example. It pushed aside all its tradition and heritage to chase after technology and modernization (as what India doing now), think that such nation will be strong, peaceful and prospers. But what happened? Yoga is just one methods, there are other methods which works as well, which includes Meditations, Martial Arts and sports. Basically, controlling the sexual urge is like tampering iron to make into a sword. Ever seen how a sword is tampered? They do it in a hot furnace. They put iron into the fire, heat it till it become red hot, bang it to shape, shove it into cold fire, put it into fire again and repeat the process. Same way is controlling one's sexual urges. You perform your physical feats till you drop of exhaustion. Then rest a bit. When you have rested, get up and continue to perform the physical feat again till you drop and repeat the process over and over again. The logic here is, sexual urges comes from sexual energy (for guys, its their semen), but when you are hurt or exhausted, you will notice that your sexual urges don't become active. This is because the body actomatically takes the energy which it had conserved to release as sexual energy and use it to repair the damages onto the body. So, Hindus in Ancient times formulated that IF young boys were forced to perform to their best, their bodies will become exhausted and "damaged". During the time they resting, their sexual energies will be used (by their bodies without them knowing it) to repair the damage, make them stronger and set new limits which later, the same boys will be pushed toward breaking it and the process continues. Now, I know some may think that this won't work and its all based on mumbo jumbo of past history. Unfortunately, this is what people who are stuck in India without knowing what going on in the World could think. Did you know that Buddhist countries ALREADY followed this methods since independence in early 1950s? Some of the countries which follows this method are :- 1. Thailand - ALL boys from age 15 onward MUST choose whether they going to become Monks OR enrol into Soldier program till the age of 21 years old. After that, they are allwoed to become whatever they want to become. 2. Singapore (a CHRISTIAN COUNTRY) - follows the method, except boys are given ONE option - Soldier program. 3. Japan has the same procedure, where Sports IS one of the main program which students MUST pass in order to perform well in High Schools. 4. Korea (South, not sure about North) follows the same procedure where Martial Arts, Soldier program and Sports become main programme which students MUST choose. Reincarnation IS real (even Jews believe in Reincarnation). Which means that IF you do not obtain Spiritual Perfection in this lifetime, you WILL come back (either to this world or to other worlds) and be born again. 2. IF people leave problems in this lifetime, they will find themselves in the same problem in the next. No one actually escape from their karma. You throw thrash onto the World and die, you will be born into the trash you thrown earlier. So in the end, you have to clean your own mess. 3. NO ONE can become perfect in ONE lifetime. This is stupidity of Christianity and Islam, thinking one lifetime is all it takes. 4. Heaven IS NOT your ultimate Goal - God is. The fact that humans can burn on their own, without any outside elements and by their own body fats made it sound like supernatural phenomena. But when one studies Puranas and epics like Ramayana, you will find plenty of cases where rishis and holy women self-immolate themselves and reduce their bodies to ashes. For example, the woman sage who cursed Ravana that if he ever tries to take control of another woman, his head will exploded, did the same thing (immolate herself). The Vedas did ... Then you know that Asura is a term used in Vedas and probably borrowed by Zoroastrians. Which means that original meanings of Asuras are supernatural beings who symbolizes demonic qualities. Maybe in later times, Hindus refers to those in Persia and such nations as Asuras due to the way they live, but that's a different story.

I only know two person who were directly involved (according to Mahabratha) in writing down Mahabratha (and Gita) - the Sage Vedavyasa (who narrated the events) and Sri Ganesha. I don't think either of them are Samkhya or loonies. /images/graemlins/wink.gif Now if you believe Krishna spoke the Bhagavad Gita, then you ae actually saying Krishna deserves to be in the loony bin and Vedanta is irrational. If what stated in the Gita didn't make sense or irrational, then I can put Sri Krishna into loony bin like those who follows Samkhya, but I found what stated in the Gita do make sense and very much logic. So, Sri krishna deserves respect for stating what is rational and logical, unlike some people who claims Samkhya is irrational but still deserves respect (for what, I don't know).

... but for 35 years I lived under the shadow of the great meditation masters and was fairly certain that we all possessed souls that would survive our physical death. This fool is someone who lived under guidance and teachings of others, believing in whatever some "great masters" says without thinking for themselves. He never question, never experiement, never challenge his master and always follow like a good "pet" whenever his master goes and calls. In the end, his remained Atheists to the end of his life. He never a believer in God even when he was following some masters. He was just a believer in Masters and their so-called powers. I don't blame him ... many Hindus are like this, even in Malaysia. They want instant enlightnment, instant realization of God and instant Moksha. They go to people who performs methods like Meditations and Yoga, who claims that give all this instant results and in the end, they will never find God. I don't say Yoga and meditation is not good, I just say there are limits on what this methods can accomplish.
