This amazing book is by Ragunatha dasa Goswami, it is 11 verses to the mind. It is 50Mbs download, self-installation file will create icons, I read a little of it so far, its like mind-blowing, i recieved permission to put Books of Narayana Maharaja on this site. So far I was able to convert one book to a Bona-fide E-book. Converted from PDF, so it's looks like I scanned the pages, but they are actually JPG Files. But it does look really sweet. http://www.winsite.com/bin/Info?26500000036658 From Pankaja who feels bit insignificant right now:(

http://www.download.com/Audio-Recorder-for-Free/3000-2168_4-10450167.html?tag=lst-0-3 It's Free. I tried it and it records Realaudio. You need to mess around with the... Click Settings/Recording Source, Move the 'Gain' up/down, to make the quality a bit better. That shhhhh sound you get, also when you save the file, save it in Studio Quality, for best sound, hope that helps:) -
On so many forums and talked with Mayavadis, Impersonalists, Personalists, the problem is, well anyway I just tell you the answer to save time. The Jiva's are ETERNALLY Fragmented Parts and Parcels of Krishna, but NOT The Krishna, it is actually Balarama. [Krishna and Balarama are one and the same [Vishnu-tattva], Balarama is Krishna's First and immediate expansion]. We are called Jiva-tattva, small infinistimel parts of Lord Balarama. Now the confusion about this is clear. We are not Vishnu-tattva [never can be, because we are Eternally Jiva-tattva]. We are in essence only Jiva-tattva, that is our position. All this is in Prabhupada Books.

After 60 years copyright laws for books are waived, or 30 years I cannot remember. Then any Matha is free to print the books, most mathas don't like this editing either, so i doubt the originals will be lost. Ironically the Ritvik 'Matha's will print the Originals, so least they doing something good. -
Paxton, Australia: Feb. 25, 2002, eve - Part 2 Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja At the end of Srila Narayana Maharaja's class of Feb 25th in Australia, devotees asked the following:] [sanjaya dasa (a young boy):] Gurudeva. [srila Narayana Maharaja:] Yes? [sanjaya dasa:] There's a story about a brahmana's wife. She ate a piece of a cow, and some of it turned into carrot, some of it turned into garlic, some of it turned into onion, and the blood turned into red lentils. Is that story true? [srila Narayana Maharaja:] It is quite true; so we should not eat those things. What Vyasadeva has written is true. [*See endnotes (1)] Vyasadeva knows everything past, present, and future. He was able to see what qualities are present in each entity. For example, Bhagavad-gita describes the sattvika, tamasika, rajasika, and nirguna natures of various persons, plants, foodstuffs, activities, knowledge, and so on. Vyasadeva was able to see what is favorable for bhakti and what is unfavorable. He saw that the onion is tamasika (in the mode of ignorance). It has all the qualities present in the meat of cows, and the same result obtained from eating cow-flesh occurs from eating onion. One will become lusty and violent by eating it. Vyasadeva has also seen in his meditation that garlic came from the bones of that cow. It is full with bad qualities and puts one in the mode of ignorance. Don't eat it. We should try to follow Vyasadeva's instrucions. If you do not follow, the same bad qualities will come to you that comes by eating cows' flesh, bones, and so on. This has been explained in sastra, and it is confirmed by scientific evidence. http://www.purebhakti.com

I heard same, Lord Ramachandra comes here in that form, but He is Vishnu. When He goes back it is as Lord Vishnu in Vaikunthaloka, but when He comes to material world, He comes as Lord Ramachandra.

Isopanishad was changed 5 times. But i feel its in-line with what Prabhupaa wanted, but devotees still prefer the old Isopanisad, this is some kind of Maya trick. I am sure. Don't want current Iso? Look for old Iso like hell on earth, find it and relish the hell out of it. Dandavast to iSO. -

Most of them far as i know haven't been said why they changed it. You make a good point though, Prabhupada did spot some errors, so I guess they changing some of those. That shouldn't be a problem. But it does seem that most changes are not done in this way. Really though would we rather have them with errors, though it seems most errors would just bounce off us all, plus it says errors by devotees who are pure are really good. ! -
I am suffering from a mental disease...
Pankaja_Dasa replied to krsna's topic in Spiritual Discussions
That's all. I suffer from depressionaization as well. I listen to kirtans, well mainly listen cause i am so lazy. Urm why don't you think maybe or could be doing something like i.e like offences to holy names? Can i say that in public forum that a devotee maybe commiting offences to holy name, when I myself commit day in day out?! But it's true na. Unless your nOT commiting offences then you will get what yr looking for. AT this point i like to paste something a devotee sent me. I don't have his permssion to paste, but paste now ask later is my motto: hahaha: Krsna says in the Gita that from Him come remembrance, knowledge and forgetfullness. So, for the devotee who is still conditioned and practicing vaidhi bhakti, our Krsna Consciousness is greatly tied to the mercy of the Paramatma. But when we have understood that we are not the body and start to chant purely ( nama bhasa ), then love of Godhead ( ruci, bhava, prema ) is coming from Krsna, not Paramatma. Paramatma does not give Krsna prem. That can only come from the rupa of Lord Krsna. Paramatma can give cit shakti but not ananda. Ananda comes from a spontaneous relationship with Krsna in Gokula ( raganuga bhakti). So, the awakening of Krsna prem comes by the mercy of Sri Gokulananda who is pleased with the surrender of His devotee. Entering into direct service of the Godhead is awarded to those who have unalloyed enthusiasm for the service of Radha and Krsna, which comes from years and years of chanting Hare Krsna under the guidance of the pure devotee. According to Lord Chaitanya, there is no other way, there is no other way, there is no other way. He states this three times emphatically. When something is repeated three times, it is understood to be of paramount importance. So, chanting Hare Krsna is both the means and the end. Gradually, step by step, our karma is being burned up ( past, present and future seeds), and the purely effulgent self is becoming uncovered from the modes of material nature. We are becoming sense controlled and self situated ( atmarama) within the body ( city of nine gates). As our consciousness becomes detached from the modes of nature, it simultaneously becomes attached to the transcendental sound vibration of the Hare Krsna maha-mantra, which directly manifests both our original consciousness and the Divine land of Vrndavana. Without this higher taste of transcendence, no one can remain detached from matter very long. We cannot be without some engagement for very long. Either we are engaged in sense gratification or we are engaged in direct transcendental loving service. No one can remain without engagement, although the impersonalists think they can. -Mahashakti dasa -

I think we think devotees changed the books to change the meanings deliberalty, but i think thats not the case at all, it's actually because they are NOT qualified to change. Therefore the meaning comes out different. That's my opinion going on the fact, with what I said above already, but like for me. I don't even notice these changes. [except maybe when you don't improve my character cause I am reading changed version of pure devotees books, which maybe considered offensive to Sri Guru. So the books maybe contaminated? But that's what some are saying, no need to bounce around the subject, but AS IT IS Gita 2nd edition, i read this and became a devotees. SO can go on speculating forever. Just change all the books back and be done with the subject forever!!!!!!!!!!! Now chanting... -

[in this instance, Srila Prabhupada's original translation has become a purport, and Jayadvaita has come up with his own translation.] Original Cc Madhya Lila Chapter 19, purport to Text 152 Bhakti-lata-bija can be received only through the mercy of the spiritual master. Therefore one has to satisfy the spiritual master to get bhakti-lata-bija (yasya prasadad bhagavat-prasadah). Bhakti-lata-bija is the origin of devotional service. Unless one satisfies the spiritual master, he gets the bija, or root cause, of karma, jnana and yoga without the benefit of devotional service. However one who is faithful to his spiritual master gets the bhakti-lata-bija. This bhakti-lata-bija is received when one is initiated by the bona fide spiritual master. After receiving the spiritual master's mercy, one must repeat his instructions, and this is called sravana-kirtana—hearing and chanting. One who has not properly heard from the spiritual master or who does not follow the regulative principles is not fit for chanting (kirtana). This is explained in Bhagavad-gita (2.41): vyavasayatmika buddhir ekeha kuru-nandana. One who has not listened carefully to the instructions of the spiritual master is unfit to chant or preach the cult of devotional service. One has to water the bhakti-lata-bija after receiving instructions from the spiritual master. Revised Cc Madhya Lila Chapter 19, purport to Text 152 The bhakti-lata-bija can be received only through the mercy of the spiritual master. [interesting how the single word by can change the meaning of a purport.] Original Cc Madhya Lila Chapter 19, purport to Text 157 If one thinks that there are many pseudo devotees or nondevotees in the Krsna Consciousness Society, one can keep direct company with the spiritual master, and if there is any doubt, one should consult the spiritual master. However, unless one follows the spiritual master's instructions and the regulative principles governing chanting and hearing the holy name of the Lord, one cannot become a pure devotee. Revised Cc Madhya Lila Chapter 19, purport to Text 157 Even if one thinks that there are many pseudo devotees or nondevotees in the Krsna Consciousness Society, still one should stick to the Society; if one thinks the Society members are not pure devotees, one can keep direct company with the spiritual master, and if there is any doubt, one should consult the spiritual master. However, unless one follows the spiritual master's instructions concerning the regulative principles and chanting and hearing the holy name of the Lord, one cannot become a pure devotee. [in this one paragraph there are 2 significant changes to the original text on the left. Firstly, Jayadvaita has inserted "still one should stick to the Society". Srila Prabhupada has not said this at all. Secondly, Srila Prabhupada stresses the importance of following the spiritual master's instructions and the regulative principles that govern chanting and hearing the holy name of the Lord. What are those principles governing chanting and hearing? Again, Jayadvaita changes the meaning, saying that one must follow the spiritual master's instructions concerning the regulative principles (readers will assume he's referring to the 4 regs) and chanting and hearing the holy name of the Lord.] -

The thing is and this is what always gets to me, is I came to KC with 2nd edition Bhagavad-gita As It Is, and I became devotee of Krishna thru this book. [its my varta-pradaaka what do u call it guru hehe]. So I'm baffled how it cannot be in-line with what Prabhupada wanted, and those changes are sort of clarifed, but I am scared that they might keep on doing it, like 3rd edition Gita etc. I think out of respect for Prabhupada and Vaishnavas, we should leave them as it is. They perfect already why tamper with them? Unless your Pure Uttama-adhikari then maybe you can edit them, cause you have seen the truth etc. But when Guru is no longer present, in body to personally guide madhava-adhikari devotees, esp regarding books. Then I feel it's best we don't start speculating about what Guru wanted, by some letter written years ago to some devotee, which we have no information about, take it out of context and make a mockery out of it all. I'm pesonally sick of it all, and wish we could just have all ORIGINAL Books, Guru-vani. That's why i listen to lectures in Mp3 or wma [www.winsite.com trype krishna in search, dl all SO lectures if u have broadband]. ANyway not to go on and on, the only book i truely ever relished was The Teachings of Lord Chaitanya and perfect questions perfect answers [read in me attic all-alone no dissturbances, bliss]. Srila Prabhupada Chanting Radha Madhava Video

That Jain post made me laugh, in Bhagavatam it says about Lord Rasabanu, and before that it says about many previous incarnations, so how Jain' is older well.. lol Oh yeah Gita it says Krishna spoke Gita to Sun-God visvasan [whos representative of Krishna]. Gita tells you how to become devotee of Krishna. And this post I like to comment on: As for Lord Krishna, he's only a lord in his own mind! One day he will stand before Almight God as a sinner like I was. Difference is my sins are washed away For All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of the GOD!!! Even the pope I answer only to one - Almighty GOD the Father, Son & Holy Spirit! Krishna will have to answer too but his fate is not good unless he believes and asks for forgivness. -- Krishna is God. YOU will have to answer to Lord Jesus Christ.

TRANSLATION Above the rays of the sunshine by a distance of 100,000 yojanas [800,000 miles] is the moon, which travels at a speed faster than that of the sun. In two lunar fortnights the moon travels through the equivalent of a saàvatsara of the sun, in two and a quarter days it passes through a month of the sun, and in one day it passes through a fortnight of the sun. PURPORT When we take into account that the moon is 100,000 yojanas, or 800,000 miles, above the rays of the sunshine, it is very surprising that the modern excursions to the moon could be possible. Since the moon is so distant, how space vehicles could go there is a doubtful mystery. Modern scientific calculations are subject to one change after another, and therefore they are uncertain. We have to accept the calculations of the Vedic literature. These Vedic calculations are steady; the astronomical calculations made long ago and recorded in the Vedic literature are correct even now. Whether the Vedic calculations or modern ones are better may remain a mystery for others, but as far as we are concerned, we accept the Vedic calculations to be correct. http://srimadbhagavatam.com/5/22/8/en1 Yeah that's what I think. But problem is that the probe missions are usually kept top-secret until the actual mission. And the Data is sent out later to the masses. So what goes on between this point and before is a mystery! Who knows eh? Maybe they did goto the Moon or Mars. But does that means then Bhagavatam is wrong? No way, we just need to inquire and chant more /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
-
Did anybody ever wonder how it's possible to send these into space? I wonder how Scientist's did it. Do you think they really did.? To pin-point the exact movements of Mars, and send a probe? Reading bit of Canto 5 of Bhagavatam, I'm really surprized. I'm sure all thier calculations [scientist] are wrong. But the thing is, the Goverment is always trying to cheat us, though I wonder how far the cheating can go, I mean like me for example, If i was a Scientist working in a Lab etc, and some other person from N.A.S.A came along told me somebody landed on the moon, would I believe them? I probably would. ANd why is that? I'll be back.
