Quotes from -Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada- Srimad-Bhagavatam 7.9.1, Mayapur, February 8, 1976 But those who are devotees, they are allowed to enter into the planet, Vaikuntha planet or Goloka Vrindavana planet. In this way one gets his original position. But if we do not take to bhakti, then we may enter into the Brahman effulgence, but there is chance of falling down. Aruhya kricchrena param padam tatah patanty adho ’nadrita-yusmad-anghrayah [sB 10.2.32]. So those who are impersonalist, they may enter into the spiritual kingdom. That is called param padam. Padam padam yad vipadam na tesham. But there is also chance of fall down. Aruhya kricchrena. After severe austerities and penances one can enter into the Brahman effulgence. But unless one gets information of the param padam—samasrita ye pada pallava plavam—there is chance of falling down. In the material world there is bhutva bhutva praliyate. But in spiritual also, if you enter into the spiritual kingdom, from there also... Even sometimes it so happens. Of course, that is by God’s desire. Just like Jaya-Vijaya. They were personal associates. But the explanation is Krishna wanted that “They should go..., the Hiranyakasipu..., these two, Jaya-Vijaya, they should go to the material world, and I must fight with them.” Because that fighting, to become angry, that tendency is there. Where He will exhibit? In the Vaikuntha there is no chance of exhibiting this anger and fighting. That is not possible. Therefore He induces His devotee to “Go to the material world and become My enemy, and I shall fight. I shall become angry,” because in the Vaikuntha, spiritual kingdom, there is no chance. Everyone is serving; everyone is friendly. Some relation... Where is the question of fighting? But fighting spirit is there; anger is there. Where He shall exhibit? And therefore Krishna incarnates, He becomes angry, and a devotee becomes enemy, and this is Krishna-lila, nitya-lila. It is going on. Letter to: Rupanuga, Los Angeles, 24 July, 1969 Regarding your question, ``what is the difference between the spirit souls comprising the Brahmajyoti and the spirit souls here in Maya?'', in the Brahmajyoti the spirit souls on account of their impersonal views are devoid of a body, exactly like here in Maya there are ghosts who are devoid of any gross bodies. The ghost being devoid of a body, he suffers terribly because he is unable to satisfy his senses. The spirit souls in the Brahmajyoti, although they have no desire for sense gratification, still they feel inconvenience like the ghost, and they fall down again in the Maya's atmosphere and develop a material body. In the Bhagavat therefore it is said that persons who are impersonalists and do not develop the dormant devotional attitude, their intelligence is not pure, because for want of a spiritual body, they come down again to the material world. In the Bhagavad-gita it is clearly said by the Lord that the only way of not coming back to the material world is to be promoted to the spiritual planets. For the impersonalists there is no such assurance of not falling down in the whole Vedic literature. The conclusion is that without developing the spiritual body and without being situated on one of the spiritual planets, the so-called liberation is also illusion, or it is not complete. A spirit soul who falls down from the Brahmajyoti to the Kingdom of Maya may have a chance of associating with a pure devotee, and then he may be elevated to the spiritual planets of Vaikuntha or to Goloka Vrindaban. From the Brahmajyoti there is no direct promotion to the spiritual planets, and it is clearly stated in the Bhagavatam that such souls fall down: patanty adha. Srila Bhakti Rakshaka Sridhara Maharaja Origin of the Jiva- An excerpt from a talk by Srila Sridhar Maharaja. http://bvml.mayaglyphs.net/audio/index.html [Lecture talks about the Tatastha shakti and Nitya-siddha devotees] Couldn't find quotes in Vedabase that say we fell from Goloka. Anybody have them?

I am to understand that Shiva doesn't exactly act in the capacity of Vishnu, as in Shiva is never thought of as 'The Enjoyer'. Either on Mount Kalisha or in Sada-shiva-loka. Sada-shiva-loka is thought of as Eternal and is never destroyed at the time of mass destruction [bhagavatam]. So the point I am making is, that we essentially I feel have to go further in that regard than speaking of the oneness of Shiva and Vishnu. In the Chaitanya Charitamrta is it stated that Sada-shiva is expanded from Baladeva as Vilasa-vigraha. For variengated pastimes. It says Advaita acharya is the combined form of Lord Sada-shiva and Maha-Vishnu. I am to understand that once Advita Acarya stated that If anybody worships Him, without worshipping Gauranga Mahaprabhu, then it would be offence to Him [Adviata Acharya]. In this way I personally can see that Shiva is actually a devotee of Vishnu.

I needed one that plays wma. Your a mind reader! I'll need to get a battery charger. I was thinking about this too, 1 Gigs and over for me I think how will I listen to it all.? But you need to have your PC Handy, but I just wanted put few lectures of my Gurudeva, mayb make me more attached.
-
They do have moving parts. The hardrive [mp3 players usually 1 gigs and over] uses some kind of machine, [hear it ticking]. I heard if you drop it [the mp3 player] it can easily break it. I wonder if in years to come, they invent a Mp3 player you can plug into some part of your body, and it powers it. Could say the body is like a battery [sleep recharges it]. When it's no longer usefull the Soul takes another Battery. Until it reaches a body which according to it's own nature. lol. From Mp3 to Soul.

Krishna's qualities for the specific purpose of Smaranam
Pankaja_Dasa replied to a topic in Spiritual Discussions
But when I think of Krishna, normally it's about His Theifing. Stealing. Just makes me smile, not that I imagine the lila, just I think Krishna is a Theif. Personally this is mosly the thought that comes to me. Or I think Krishna is best friend. -

I agree with you. -
I wanted to get a mp3 player which has a battery charger. But I heard it runs out after 1-2 years depending on how many time you use it. Bit of a con if you ask me. That's why I thought about this windup Machine. I think I'll just get a normal CD Player, which plugs into a socket.

www.krishna.org/ISKCON/BookChanges/cc/ Can be found here. I am very shocked by the changes. Even though I am clueless why they are taking place, I think it would be easier to just leave them as it is. So everybody feels happy. Some of the changes are just not even needed. Maybe I don't know anything about Grammer, maybe somebody who has taken PHD in English or something can check. Anyway, I will probably still buy this if I can. As looking at the changes it seems it's just editionals. Still if they left them nobody would notice. Jayadwati Swami can goto Vraj and chant 108 rounds. That's good service. And he can always write His own books. WHy does Swamiji keep messing about with Prabhupada Books? Just LEAVE THEM ALONE. I am going to have a word with Lord Nityananda see if He can do something about this!!!!!!!!!!!! -

Prabhu. They are avatatas, but we are not. lol If we are all one, I can be avatara also. SO he says he is avatara, so he can teach us to be an Avatara.! __ This person is an Impersonalists who believes Gods- Brajmajyoti is Supreme Godhead and we should merge with this light and become blissful. Here there is NO Krishna, Gopas, Cows, trees, Yamuna, Yashoda and Gopis. There is No vareity at hole. Bit like being in a hole. Hare Krishna. It feels ok for a while [in the light]. But after a while you wonder where Krishna is. -
Fell down due to offences to the four kumaras. And this happened in Vaikuntha-loka. You know this creation is massive, I think offences can be caused by being closed-minded as well.

But even though Lord Siva associates with maya..

I know one devotee who thinks like you, and all I can say is his advancment in spiritual life is bewlidering to me. [Meaning his advancing beyond my capcity to understand]. I think what you said is SO TRUE. While preaching we become like almost offensive not realizing that we ourselevles are imperfect. I think this is from the fact we think oursleves as GREAT. AND when you said about being sick, a thought comes to my mind that we cannot act in an agressive way, because we take on the Karmic reactions. If you ever hear Prabhupada preaching in Conversations [i refer you to www.prabhupadavani.org Just listen to all of those and you can see the preaching method. It is not aggressive, SP doesn't force you to understand. This is how your meant to actually preach. But you made me laugh, because I do exactly what you say I shouldn't, and I realized i was doing it just 2 days ago. What a coincidence. Gaura haribol. -

And to me it is not funny. Because they are offensive to KRishna. I don't know why you as Krishna devotee would go out of your way to assocaite with impersonalists. I probabaly have to sometimes, but I def don't talk to them about Krishna. Haribol -

Hari om!! _ I know this is off-topic. But devotees who are mixing in some way with Jnana-yogis [or have done in the past] use this word. Sorry if your not, but it is mosly Impersonalists, who use this term. Hare Krishna is the full meaning, Hari Om means something esle totally. I know it's a small thing, but from experience I know most impersonalists use it, you can also tell if somebody has mixed with them, just if they say these 2 words. /images/graemlins/smile.gif Hare Krishna. I don't know what you wish to gain by saying Shiva is the Supreme Personality, I don't know at all. Lor Shiva has His own abode. If you wish to attain that, then of cource you pray to Him. But when Narada goes to Visit Sada-shiva then Sada-shiva they do kirtan together, this is mentioned in Brihad-bhagavatamtra. In a another story, a devotee called Gopa-kumara goes to Sada-shiva loka and Ganesh tells him, that Shiva and Vishnu are one and the same. And there is Vishnu-dhuta glorfying Lord Shiva, then Lord Shiva put His ears over His head and says No I am servant of Vishnu. Shaites always mention when Rama worshipped Shiva, but they fail to mention when SHiva came from the shiva-liga. And what happened next. Shiva always declares He is a devotee of Rama [Vishnu]. Anyay you do or think what you want, i said so far what i wanted to say. -

Pankaja_Dasa replied to Pankaja_Dasa's topic in The Hare Krishna Forum
Lord Shiva is not the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krishna is. /images/graemlins/smile.gif Thats the truth. Like I said this is difficult to understand, I guess there will always be arguments about whos bigger. But the fact is we say Lord Shiva is devotee and God at same time. Hare Krishna. -
But even though Lord Siva associates with maya..
Pankaja_Dasa replied to Pankaja_Dasa's topic in The Hare Krishna Forum
I presented words of devotees, i didn't concoct anything, I wonder if you even know what Shaivites aspire for. Most aspire to actually become 'Shiva'. Though I think most actually want to serve Lord Shiva. Most do know His true Tattva, and they are very rare, they goto Sada-shiva-loka and become His devotees. SO it is not that Gaudiya Vaishnava's only know. But if a person is offensive to Krishna WHILE worshipping Lord Shiva, then SHiva will make some trick, so he understands or He will simply destroy him [Like Ravana was destroyed]. That's what I meant by Ego, [being offensive to Krishna] -

Pankaja_Dasa replied to Pankaja_Dasa's topic in The Hare Krishna Forum
Krishna is the source of all Incarnations as it says in the Bhagavatam. Whether you accept it or not is nothing to do with me. Balarama is an expansion of Krishna. And Sada-shiva is expanded from Baladeva. That is how it is. Krishna being the Supreme and all others His servants. Even Balarama is serving Krishna, what to say of anybody else. Sada-shiva loka is singing Vishnu Kirtan in Sada-shiva, [what do you think happens there!]. This also answers you question as regards to dependence. Hare Krishna Finally you said yourself you have no idea about this, you are being totally offensive by saying Gaudiya Vaishnavas concoct some meanings, please give up this ego. As you can see yourself this is not something which is understandable by a few posts from me. It takes the grace of a devotee. So I would not Say Gaudiaya Vaishnava are wrong, just because you read something once doesn't mean you have actually understood it. This offensive mentality that a Pure Devotee is wrong, will never make you understand anything at all. It is actually your Ego saying 'I WANT TO UNDERSTAND IT! NOW!'. /images/graemlins/grin.gif We got to be always humble. /images/graemlins/crazy.gif
