There is no personality in impersonal energy. So how do you propose there is Personality in it? Personality can be present in a person. So how do you say we are one with and different from Krishna personality.? I think what you said is absurd.

Shankracharya started all this! Before Him, nobody has this conception. If we go back to Vedyavyasa writing Vedas, and then Bhagavatam. [Natural commentary of the Vedas]. We can see, easily that Bhagavat-dharma was there. Mayavada came about because Krishna saw need to preach it. Gaura hari bol!

Bhagavad-gita As It Is. Originally I wrote Bhagavad-gita As It Is in the form in which it is presented now. When this book was first published, the original manuscript was, unfortunately, cut short to less than 400 pages, without illustrations and without explanations for most of the original verses of the Srimad Bhagavad-gita. In all of my other books-Srimad Bhagavatam, Sri Isopanishad, etc.-the system is that I give the original verse, its English transliteration, word-for-word Sanskrit-English equivalents, translations and purports. This makes the book very authentic and scholarly and makes the meaning self-evident. I was not very happy, therefore, when I had to minimize my original manuscript. But later on, when the demand for Bhagavad-gita As It Is considerably increased, I was requested by many scholars and devotees to present the book in its original form, and Messrs. Macmillan and Co. agreed to publish the complete edition. Thus the present attempt is to offer the original manuscript of this great book of knowledge with full parampara explanation in order to establish the Krishna consciousness movement more soundly and progressively. Our Krishna consciousness movement is genuine, historically authorized, natural and transcendental due to its being based on Bhagavad-gita As It Is. It is gradually becoming the most popular movement in the entire world, especially amongst the younger generation. It is becoming more and more interesting to the older generation also. Older gentlemen are becoming interested, so much so that the fathers and grandfathers of my disciples are encouraging us by becoming life members of our great society, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. In Los Angeles many fathers and mothers used to come to see me to express their feelings of gratitude for my leading the Krishna consciousness movement throughout the entire world. Some of them said that it is greatly fortunate for the Americans that I have started the Krishna consciousness movement in America. But actually the original father of this movement is Lord Krishna Himself, since it was started a very long time ago but is coming down to human society by disciplic succession. If I have any credit in this connection, it does not belong to me personally, but it is due to my eternal spiritual master, His Divine Grace Om Vishnupada Paramahamsa Parivrajakacarya 108 Sri Srimad Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Gosvami Maharaja Prabhupada. If personally I have any credit in this matter, it is only that I have tried to present Bhagavad-gita as it is, without adulteration. Before my presentation of Bhagavad-gita As It Is, almost all the English editions of Bhagavad-gita were introduced to fulfill someone’s personal ambition. But our attempt, in presenting Bhagavad-gita As It Is, is to present the mission of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krishna. Our business is to present the will of Krishna, not that of any mundane speculator like the politician, philosopher or scientist, for they have very little knowledge of Krishna, despite all their other knowledge. When Krishna says, man-mana bhava mad-bhakto mad-yaji mam namaskuru, etc., we, unlike the so-called scholars, do not say that Krishna and His inner spirit are different. Krishna is absolute, and there is no difference between Krishna’s name, Krishna’s form, Krishna’s quality, Krishna’s pastimes, etc. This absolute position of Krishna is difflcult to understand for any person who is not a devotee of Krishna in the parampara (disciplic succession) system. Generally the so-called scholars, politicians, philosophers, and svamis, without perfect knowledge of Krishna, try to banish or kill Krishna when writing commentary on Bhagavad-gita. Such unauthorized commentary upon Bhagavad-gita is known as Mayavadi-Bhashya, and Lord Caitanya has warned us about these unauthorized men. Lord Caitanya clearly says that anyone who tries to understand Bhagavad-gita from the Mayavadi point of view will commit a great blunder. The result of such a blunder will be that the misguided student of Bhagavad-gita will certainly be bewildered on the path of spiritual guidance and will not be able to go back home, back to Godhead. Our only purpose is to present this Bhagavad-gita As It Is in order to guide the conditioned student to the same purpose for which Krishna descends to this planet once in a day of Brahma, or every 8,600,000,000 years. This purpose is stated in Bhagavad-gita, and we have to accept it as it is; otherwise there is no point in trying to understand the Bhagavad-gita and its speaker, Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna first spoke Bhagavad-gita to the sun-god some hundreds of millions of years ago. We have to accept this fact and thus understand the historical significance of Bhagavad-gita, without misinterpretation, on the authority of Krishna. To interpret Bhagavad-gita without any reference to the will of Krishna is the greatest offense. In order to save oneself from this offense, one has to understand the Lord as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, as He was directly understood by Arjuna, Lord Krishna’s first disciple. Such understanding of Bhagavad-gita is really profitable and authorized for the welfare of human society in fulfilling the mission of life. The Krishna consciousness movement is essential in human society, for it offers the highest perfection of life. How this is so is explained fully in the Bhagavad-gita. Unfortunately, mundane wranglers have taken advantage of Bhagavad-gita to push forward their demonic propensities and mislead people regarding right understanding of the simple principles of life. Everyone should know how God or Krishna is great, and everyone should know the factual position of the living entities. Everyone should know that a living entity is eternally a servant and that unless one serves Krishna one has to serve illusion in different varieties of the three modes of material nature, and thus perpetually one has to wander within the cycle of birth and death; even the so-called liberated Mayavadi speculator has to undergo this process. This knowledge constitutes a great science, and each and every living being has to hear it for his own interest. People in general, especially in this age of Kali, are enamored by the external energy of Krishna, and they wrongly think that by advancement of material comforts every man will be happy. They have no knowledge that the material or external nature is very strong, for everyone is strongly bound by the stringent laws of material nature. A living entity is happily the part and parcel of the Lord, and thus his natural function is to render immediate service to the Lord. By the spell of illusion one tries to be happy by serving his personal sense gratification in different forms which will never make him happy. Instead of satisfying his own personal material senses, he has to satisfy the senses of the Lord. That is the highest perfection of life. The Lord wants this, and He demands it. One has to understand this central point of Bhagavad-gita. Our Krishna consciousness movement is teaching the whole world this central point, and because we are not polluting the theme of Bhagavad-gita As It Is, anyone seriously interested in deriving benefit by studying the Bhagavad-gita must take help from the Krishna consciousness movement for practical understanding of Bhagavad-gita under the direct guidance of the Lord. We hope, therefore, that people will derive the greatest benefit by studying Bhagavad-gita As It Is as we have presented it here, and if even one man becomes a pure devotee of the Lord we shall consider our attempt a success. Guru and find out your actually not Supreme but a dog. Then only can you progress towards the Supreme Lord. [become His servant]. Servant is not a bad thing it's very beneficial for all. Then you can have Gopal. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I don't know what to say. What Ranen said was true. Tell them what it says about people who eat meat. If i was you [i am not you!] REPEAT exactly [or read] in what Prabhupada says. Or let them read what it says [if they can read]. Prabhupada words are PURE. SO maybe Krishna whos within their heart [oh yeah HE is]. Will purify them. Krishna is pleased when somebody hears what His devotee said about something. But that depends of how Krishna feels too. His God, He can do as He pleases. [jai]

When you stop eating meat you become more spiritual [esp with what you mentioned]. Then your lust goes down. Then you wonder why you don't feel so lustful. So you may progress. Then later [this is the most funniest part].. You [because of maya] start eating meat again [or whatever else you like to do]. And become lustful again [with whatever else you certainly like doing]. And the chain starts again. It's like a merry go around, unless you make a good stance and say 'No way I will eat meat again [or whatever else you like doing'. Then certainly! You will do it again and again and again.. Because Lust is insatible. And we love to be lustful. Maya has many tricks up Her transcendental sleeve. Just give Her a chance.!

Everything IS God [spiritual]. But also Not God. We are God. But not Supreme God. Athiest don't believe in Supreme God. That above quote says that.

Subjects elaborately And, it was, after submission only you can understand. Hare Krishna, Hare Rama. So it is, this is a long subject. It has no end. Our subject has no end and no beginning. It is always there. Those who submit to it they get it. Those who doesn't submit they can not get it. Understand. So it is not necessary to speak these subjects elaborately, unless they demand it. Science, from the beginning till the end you please explain. Where is your time and where is our m(?) time. But you cannot understand. Slowely. You have to believe first. You must have faith first. And then only you can cultivate it. And if you cultivate it you will get it. If not, there is no God. "You are a God, I am a God." Oh. Feelings. "But, if you say God, can you show me God?" Who can show them God? Who can show? It is not possible to show. None can show it, the God. God is not visible to all. God is visible to only to some who submits, surrenders. None else. <font color="blue">-Bhakti Vaibhava Puri Maharaja</font color> Zagreb 19.5.2003 morning

Jiva Falls Down- The Conclution
Pankaja_Dasa replied to Pankaja_Dasa's topic in Spiritual Discussions
VAISHNAVISM Real & Apparent The bondage of jiva ................................................. Jivas are of two kinds -(1) Nitya-Mukta (eternally free), (2) Nitya-Baddha (eternally enslaved). Free jivas are never enslaved. They are serving the Supreme God in five different functions** in His eternal blissful abode, where there is no change, no destruction, no misery. Jiva, once entered there never comes back here. The inconceivably narrowest line of demarcation between land and water or the line where land and water meet is called Tata; so also the meeting line of the Chit world or the eternal abode of the Supreme Lord and the A-Chit world or the region of Maya is called Tata. The power of the Supreme Lord displayed at the Tata is known as the Tatastha (lying at the Tata) or marginal power. All the jivas being the display of this power, have the inherent oscillating tendency and capability of going to the Chit or the A-Chit world. Tata not being a resting place, jivas must go this side or that ; those preferring the A-Chit, fell into the clutches of the Octopus Maya, when these mortal costumes of mind and body were put on him as a punishment. The satanic frenzy in which the jiva dislikes the blissful and eternal service of his Master and prefers to quench his thirstful desires of enjoying matter, opens before him a perpetual spring of liquid fire and poison at which he begins to drink deep. Thus in going to lord it over Maya, jiva became enslaved by her. -

~Mahaprabhu's Teachings in a Nutshell~ The self-revealed Vedic truths descending from the Absolute Person through the <font color="red"> preceptorial line of succession,</font color> are known as Amnaya. They declare that- 1. Sri Krishna is the Supreme Person without a second. 2. He is always vested with infinite potency. 3. He is the nectarine ocean of all Rasas. 4. The Jeeva souls are His marginal or intermediate discrete parts. 5. Marginally situated, the Jeeva souls in their fallen state are liable to be enthralled by Prakriti or Maya, the deluding Potency of the Lord. 6. Lying in between the chit (internal spiritual) and achit (external deluding cosmic) Potencies of the Lord, the jeeva souls are freed from the shackles of the triple qualities of Maya by the loving service of the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna. 7. All spiritual and mundane phenomena are simultaneously distinct and non-distinct manifestation of the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna. This is known as Achintya-bhedabheda-prakash of the Lord. It is Achintya, i.e. inconceivable as the rational attributes of human' beings are quite incapable of understanding or even approaching the Divine sphere of the Lord except by His mercy. 8. Suddha Bhakti or unalloyed devotion, which is the external function of all Jeeva souls, is the only means of attaining Divine love, the summom-bonum of human existence. 9. Krishna Prema or Divine love is alone the final desideratum of spiritual existence. -Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mission Sri Bhakti Bigyan Nityananda Book Trust Bhakti Vaibhava Puri Maharaja

Usually when people critisize ISKCON it is not that they [the people who are critical] are part of some 'other' organization. They are part of the same Organization namely 'Krishna's Matha:)'.! I came to Krsna Consiousness years ago. I didn't really expect all of this to be going on. And I expected a perfect society [Gaudiya Matha, Iskcon etc]. But we have to remember that as disicples we are meant to help each other out. For me it has been a low blow. Only because even though I am Indian Born, I really don't know anything about what being 'Krsna Consciouss' is or was. We can only try I guess. I wish that leaders would ignore the 'Prabhupada said stay away from his Godbrothers' etc. And try to reconsile what SP was actually doing. Then it will be so perfect. Prabhupada as Acharya met all of His Godbrothers and worked with them. The history is so long. I fear that when you or anybody goes on-line you will read some articiles saying all sorts of things. To tell you the truth. It is best to NOT listen to any of it. Anything which causes Sectariasum and Aparadha is bad news. Wish there was a plug in your brain where you can unplug everything [i could use a more colourful word then that!]. Then we can all get on with the REAL Krsna Consciousness. Unfortuanilty all this is going on all the time. SO devotees have to tell others. Which is nice. SO then we can leave it all behind and progress. Gaura haribol

On your site you have a link to The Divine Light Society, I see they put Gita Audio by Prabhupada. But they have a direct link on same page to 'thier' Edition on same page. I don't think it's very bona-fide, like I said 'divine light socety' the clue is in the name. For some odd reason by e-mail system is not working so had to say it here. Maybe you can put a dislcaimer. Because the site contents have nothing to do with us.

I met some of these devotees. They were very sweet. [i wasn't]. From site. Birmingham. COld ! Must have been. Uk is cold.

why are there no murtins of Ganesha in ISKCON?
Pankaja_Dasa replied to a topic in The Hare Krishna Forum
Letter to: Sivananda, London, 71-08-25 So far worshipping Ganesa is concerned, that is not necessary. Not that it should be done on a regular basis. If you like you can pray to Ganapati for removing all impediments on the path of Krishna Consciousness. That you can do if you like. Letter to: Rameswar Dayalaji Birla, Bombay, 71-04-01 No, there is no need for worshipping Ganapati, and the facility for such worship is not available in your country. Worshipping Krishna is sufficient. Letter to: Upendra, Bombay, 71-01-04 The mantra to Ganapati is not bona fide. That is another nonsense. Your worship of Guru-Gauranga and Nrsimhadeva is very nice. Morning Walk, October 2, 1975, Mauritius Prabhupada: If you are actually Krsna conscious, then to worship Ganapati, there is no harm. But if you take Ganapati as independent God, then your Krsna consciousness is hampered. _ A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami -

Did Caitanya Mahaprabhu liberate all living entities?
Pankaja_Dasa replied to a topic in Spiritual Discussions
Everyone should become a guru -
Krsna's Headache Srila Sridhara Maharaja: I also had such an idea at first, but my understanding underwent some transformation and my conception changed. I did not venture to make disciples myself in the beginning, after the departure of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada, but I had some transformation through three events. Then I came to take up this work humbly, modestly. The other day this same question was put to me by one devotee. I told him the story of Krsna's headache. Perhaps you know the story. Once, when Krsna was in Dvaraka, he told Narada Muni that He had been attacked with a severe headache, and the only cure was the feet-dust of His devotees. Narada went to so many devotees in Dvaraka, but no one came forward to give him any feet-dust. They said, "Oh, it is impossible. We can't do that, we can't go to hell." Frustrated, Narada returned to Krsna. Krsna said, "Oh, I am suffering very severely now. Have you got any feet-dust?No, sir, no one was prepared to give feetdust." Narada was benumbed. Krsna told him, "You may try it in Vrndavana." At once, Narada intimated everything to the gopis, and the gopis immediately came with feet-dust. They said, "Krsna is suffering? He needs feet-dust? Please take our feet-dust and go immediately." Narada was astounded. "What is the matter?" he thought, "No devotees would offer Krsna any dust from their feet, but these people are doing it." He told them, "Do you know what is the consequence of your actions?" The gopis replied "Yes. Eternal hell. We don't care for that! If slight relief is there for our Lord, that is our only concern." This is one point that came to my mind at that time. And another was this: Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu says, amara ajnaya guru hana tara ei desa."On my order, become guru, and deliver the land." So, we should think, "I am fallible, but I am confident that what my guru has given to me is an uncommon, vital, and nectarine thing. And he has asked me to give it to others. It does not matter. I shall take the risk. He has ordered me. I am his servant. He will look after me." With this spirit of risk, the disciple will approach the responsibility thinking, "I may go to hell, but I must carry out the order of my gurudeva. I may die, but I must carry out the order of my commander." With this spirit he is to approach the task, and there will be no danger if this consciousness is maintained; but if he deviates from that connection and goes self-seeking for a mundane purpose, he'll be doomed. Otherwise, no destruction can touch him. This internal spirit should be maintained, and that is the real qualification of a disciple: "Yes, I am ready to die to carry out the order of my gurudeva. I feel that this is nectar, and I must distribute it to others to save them." -

How do they print books in Higher Planets?
Pankaja_Dasa replied to Pankaja_Dasa's topic in Spiritual Discussions
For example many devotees use books, for example I have seen Prabhupada using Books for His preaching. In pictures and I heard from devotees. ? -
We have the Printing Press. How do they possibly make them in higher planets? For example Bhagavatam has more Volumes...It's a bona-fide and serious questions.!
