There is no such thing as "eternal damnation". such concept runs contrary to the idea that God is just. but there is punishment for evil deeds and reward for good ones - both are temporary and based on supreme justice, not supreme revenge for not worshiping the "right" form of God.

Siddha Svarupa has done a lot of good in spreading the Holy Name to people all over the world and I give him much credit. I have met quite a few of his disciples and I like them. This is an important point in our Vedic culture and explains much controversy as to the historical dating of various Vedic writings. Oral and written tradition is not the only source of Vedic transmission of knowledge.

Yet people fighting the "anti-semitism disease" should not ignore facts which fuel such "anti-semitic" sentiments, as this makes them as blind and biased as the original offenders. When some Jewish "businessman" opens a bank in Russia or Poland, promises big returns on deposits and then runs away to Israel with all the money and you can't do anything about it - he is going to create a lot "anti-semites" among his investors... In cases like that fighting such "anti-semitism" does not strike me as a Vedic idea of justice.

It is very important that we devotees learn to appreciate each other despite our differences in understanding or practice. In this great effort to spread Lord Caitanya's mission we must firmly stand sholder to shoulder, like the very diverse Pandava army at Kuruksetra.

The Vedic rulers were firm in their efforts to stamp out violent crime. But they were real wise and just. Rulers of today are largely corrupt or demonic in nature, looking out for their own welfare alone. Their injustice only produces more violence. When two animals fight each other the best policy is to keep away... no loss if they both die.
