There is only your voice --there are none other.

There is a process called "Positive Self-Talk".

You simply don't listen to reason [even when it comes from yourself --you turn a cold shoulder to your better judgement].

We are not the body--"we are spiritsoul" --so intimately and thoroughly knowing this maxim is the goal of a Spiritual life . . . in the meantime:

The material Body is made of 8 combined elements:

    earth + water + fire + air + either

    and then {drum-roll},

    mind + intelligence + False-ego. {gong}.

The mind does two things: accepts things as attractive //or// rejects things as un-attractive.

    The intelligence does the following:

Considers the logistics/rationale/probabilities etc., of an outcome.

    :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Professional artists and sportsmen must pre-visualise the outcome of the up-coming engagement before the start of the contest [a student does the same by preparing for an exam].

Inorder to rid a bad habit --you must replace it with a better habit, that would be fully engaging of your time and energies.

Discipline means that setting a goal that involves an incentive that has greater value than the 'smoking a cigerette'.

The mind is talking to you . . . inorder to overcome a dependency to an inert material product (tobacco) . . . that's encouraging. No?

The mind and the Intelligence ideally must be inaccord with eachother.

It is lust only for the oral fixation that allows you down time.

It is necessary to inflate the nature of the importance of 'why to quit' --and then keep re-inforcing the logic and the degree of importance of why you must quit.

    Great post.

But if Shiva is truly non-different from Vishnu as per your view, then you should have no problem with someone worshipping Shiva for liberation, thinking Shiva to be the "Supreme Personality of Godhead."

True, for me it is never a problem.

The aspect which is full in itself and that represent God is the One who graces the world from time to time for the benefit of mankind and / or salvation.

The worship of Shiva brings to Vishnu.. the complete science to perfection was expounded in the Gita.

Who is the speaker of the Gita?

You would like it or not... worship of other Gods... is tainted with a certain degree of Swart [greed].

In this world there are many worshippers of Vishnu/ Krishna who still hold the same mentality that God is their servant.

When the Gita becomes clear to one... He becomes Selfless.

Even me I'm a worshiper of Shiva.. but if the worship to Shiva does not have Vishnu as the reason behind then it is definately a selfish motive.

And no real Vaishnava can claim that he does not possess love Shiva.

It is like to love them both or none of them.

    A laisser ou a prendre.

    Cheers.

  3. Even before the war started Krishna went with the "Shanti Prastav".. peace treaties.

But the Ego of Duryodhana did not let him even hear the Lord, forget about considering it.

The war and the deaths surrounding that.. brings forth the eternal question where only He, the Lord has the answer, we benefited. As Ranjeet brought forward the concept of Varna.. it is the duty of Ksatriyas to protect Dharma.. even at the cost of one's life.

But first of all, one need to side truth.. implying on the first instance, one need to know Truth.

And who knows it better that the "Eternal Flute Player".

do any one here have any experience of living in a village community?any experience of farming?
    \

yeps back in my days in India in 2004 and 2005 as a Student, I went for my holidays to my friend's place in a small village in Assam.

That was really amazing, I observed Tea, rice cultivation and cattle, pig rearing.

That was a really awesome experience. The fresh air, serene atmosphere, the universal brotherhood feeling, the mother like caring of the Aunties there were enchanting.

  5. Great opportunity to learn the beauty behind detachment.

Secondly, don't force things, and don't wait much either.

Continue with what you are intended to do concerning your Dharma; if she'll come back then it is fine, else workout for a new relationship after a given lapse of time. But do learn from the failure of your breakup(s).

I`m so sorry if I can`t distinguish bengali from a sanskrit text. If I should be reborn in India in my next life then I would.:)
No need, I, myself was not born in India, but I can differentiate. Do like me, if opportunity arises then learn.

Yes, Amlesh. You teach me how to operate the system & I`ll share with you my experiences ( practice) in the art of medicine for the past 22 years.:)

I won't teach you my savoir-faire, I can only help you when you are lost in my field.

Each one his Swadharma. Likewise, I won't really need your 22 years of experience, maybe some when need arises.:)

  7.

I`m not a computer or software engineer but a doctor of medicine.I can`t seem to remedy the situation. If I see squares from here onwards it means I won`t be able to read the texts you have in stored for me. Oh well.:eek4:

well, when I'm sick, I don't cry for not being a doctor. I go and see a doctor.

BTW, I'm an S.E, you can ask me.. and I can ask you when I'm sick.

    BARTER SYSTEM revived.

    Cheers.
