Intro and Question

I don't know anyone who has been forced into having children. I know

someone who was mentally forced into having an abortion because her

husband didn't want to have the child that he had created.

I don't agree that it is forward thinking. I think it is a form of

denial.

Once we have interfered with nature we cannot let nature take it's

course because the course that follows is not it's natural course.

Hi Peter

I suspect that Lynda will answer that humanity should be wiped out!

It seems to be a stock answer when the breeding question is

broached. This, of course, is a point of view I cannot understand.

Surely if people feel that way they would commit suicide to help the

scheme on it's way. It doesn't add up to me, because I am also sure

that the people who hold to this point of view also look after

themselves to avoid death. Doesn't add up.

I agree with Fraggle. This conversation has taken on a really bitchy tone. How about this one... I can't keep my youngest kitty out of my peace lily plants. I'm in a 2 bedroom townhouse and there's no where to "hide" the plants. Any suggestions for me?

P.S. The sour apple spray hasn't worked for us.

Okely dokely! I've said all my thoughts so no point in repeating them.

What's everyone planning for meals over the weekend? Maybe that's not such a good choice as I haven't planned any yet, but I'll have a think about it and let you know. I don't reckon it'll be anything too exciting though. We may eat out tomorrow if we are shopping, so that will save cooking one meal.

I don't really picture myself getting married anytime in the near future, but if I do it'll be to man who's divorced and already had kids and therefore doesn't expect ME to bear him any.

One, it isn't ludicrous. For starters, I think far too many women are forced into having children. The whole ego trip of "a son to carry on my name," is ludicrous. Good example is Yates.

Two, what has superiority got to do with this discussion? Although, I would probably say they are more future thinking.

None of my partners is divorced, and none of them has kids. None of

them expects me to bear them children. It's not only people who

already have kids who don't want them.

Hmmm.... Give the plants to me??? j/k I am just always looking to

get more plants.

Some of my friends have used cayenne pepper sprinkled. The cats will

avoid it cause it tickles their noses so bad.

Nope, I don't but I don't need to know the pain they feel if they are abused, put in gunny sacks and dropped in a lake/river, abandoned on the side of the road to get killed or starve, to be burnt out having too many puppies/kittens, to die via having the air sucked out of a chamber, etc. to know that is wrong and something has to be done about it.

Hi Serene

Hummous is my favourite food - if I had to choose one to live on - it would

Thanks. Mom and I worked it out that we'll do a visit a few weeks

later. This week is just going to be too much for me.

Lunch was soup made from a container of soy-ginger broth that we

bought on sale, some broken-up spaghetti for noodles, some cubes of

tofu, some dried shiitakes, and a bunch of veg oyster sauce. I liked

it a lot, and so did James, but Carin picked out the tofu. :-)
