Dear All,Time for some serious astrology I think! Everyone’s been lazing around with global cold taking over! Let us warm up now with some serious jyotish!Misteries and miseries!Secrets and Scandals!

Yes, we all know that 8H is the dreaded one for its pitfalls, obstacles, impediments and what not! But, our Rishis were very clever and kept some goodies also in the same house, so that when we are hunting for the treasures, we do not forget to look there!

What is better for us, a strong eighth lord or weak eighth lord?And what of Arians and Librans who are likely to make their own pits and fall into them or rise above them?I invite learned members to share their opinions on this. Please don't forget to quote examples and dashas! We are looking for practical results, not theoretical!

also decides on longevity (with due consideration to lagna and lagnesh).. my

take is " Jaan hai toh jahan hai "

 

It is not my desire to preach, but to give more material for discussion.. I am

putting forward some issues that can be seen from the 8H. Pls feel free to add

to these.. I am always open to gems of knowledge..

3. markesh - circumstances of death

4. Vipret raj yogas

5. Diseases indicated by rashis and planets in 8H

6. Speech of spouse

7. foreign travel especially by sea

10. damage done to bhava where 8L is placed

A strong 8th house is good..... as long as it stays strong alone, and

does not connect to other houses.... I would prefer a strong 8th house

Lord to remain in either the 8th house or the other evil houses..... 6

and 12.... preferably the 12th.....

 

I like this combination of the 8th and the 12th. The combination of 8th

with 6th may cause surgery etc.... but without connection to the 6th, it

will prove much better and give rise to occult experiences...

 

(Does it give occurences of secret bed pleasures by the way ?)

wealth(expenses) come to u? How is the wealth of others relate to 8H -unearned

income?

Dear Sheevani Ji,

 

8H and 12H both belong to the visible part of the zodiac. So any so called "secret" will be "outed". It is not a good idea for any one with 8H in 12H to get involved in secret relationships. If 8L is in 7H, then there is a good chance to keep secret liaisons going (since 8L has also gone 12 away, it has bed pleasures written all over it). However if 7L is in 8H then such a secret will uncover itself scandalously leading to diastrous effects. A secret becomes a scandal because it is uncovered. There in lies the great danger with 8H affairs.

I don't think you are wrong at all. I just said the "secret" will come out soon enough, does not mean secret affairs will not happen. It was just a comment not a correction

Dear Neelam Ji,

 

I would prefer 8L to be weak by placement (6H, 8H or 12H) and strong by dignity (Own, Exalted, MT, Friends). If it should be in a non dusthana house then I would prefer 3H, 11H, 10H, 2H, Lagna, 7H, 5H, 9H in that order (9H being the least prefered). Once 8L gets into prime real estate of the chart (L, 7H, 5H, 9H) he creates a bloody havoc in his wake.

On the contrary if you are talking of material part, then ones wealth

received as dowry would go away or be dispersed with...

 

8th House - is already the natural karaka for Yoni or the sexual organs.

It is also the house of secrets or mystery.. The 12 th house being Bed

pleasures. The 12 th being 5th to the 8th.... All this makes sense when

we connect this to the owner of the Kundli...

 

VRY part comes in form of one making a breakthrough in Life, and the

status being elevated more than normal (Relatively to the persons usual

strata). It may not be necessary that VRY will bring in Huge wealth.

RajYoga may confer great positions as well as great wealth, or teither

of the two..but not necessarily both.

 

8th in 12th may also mean Technical capabilities realised in a foreign

country. Or a person exporting off shore, underwater products if related

to a watery sign for instance. If related to Bhoomi karaka then may mean

huge investments in construction activities, or making temples

continously like the Birlas whom their Kuldevi Goddess has given a

Vardaan in dream to one of the Birlas that " As long as you continue

making temples , you will see prosperity " which is why you will always

find that they are making temples somewhere or the other in India or the

world.

Dear Bhaskar Ji,Thanks for the explanation. I have some questions regarding the meaning of connection:1. Say for Taurus native, lord of 8th as well as 11th house is Jupiter. Can we consider these 2 houses to be connected?2. If Jupiter is also placed in the 8th house (for said native), then can we say that the houses it aspects are connected to the 8th house? A strong 8th house is good..... as long as it stays strong alone, and

does not connect to other houses.... I would prefer a strong 8th house

Lord to remain in either the 8th house or the other evil houses..... 6

and 12.... preferably the 12th.....

 

I like this combination of the 8th and the 12th. The combination of 8th

with 6th may cause surgery etc.... but without connection to the 6th, it

will prove much better and give rise to occult experiences. ..

I am running antardasha of Jupiter, the 8th Lord for my Lagna. Its

Theoretical treatises and practical astrology is way apart...

One of my friend is having property in crores(Property, Factories etc etc...), his grand father was head of DDA Delhi, Promoted to IAS Rank.

Dear Bhaskarji,

 

Judging only by the position of Jupiter, 8th Lord in 6th, it means that there would be sudden transformation in matters related to matters of the 6th house and its significations like rog, rin, shatru and maternal uncles.

In contrast the effects of the 8th house get significantly reduced as its lord is in 6th. Guess that means you may not be very lucky in finding/ digging for old bureid treasures.

In terms of AD you will explain better how Jupiter helps deliver the results of the MD lord and the nakshatra lord wherin it is placed in natal chart.

Dear All,I thank all the participants of this discussion. We are fairly advanced, so as to say in theory!! That is why I was calling for and expecting some practical demos.I am giving an interesting case here and the data is authentic.

BT: 1.6.1926/9.30 hrs/ LA, CaliforniaCancer lagna and 8L Saturn exalted in 4H.5L Mars and 9L Jup conjunct in 8H. The lady enjoyed and suffered all the 8H results listed down graciously by Sheevani ji, and may be more!

She was mystery and misery personified. She led a life of secrets and scandals! She had the fatal attraction of 8H. She became the legend which are made by the 8H.And finally she also died mysteriously!! May be 8H again?

Well, exalted 8HL Sa is in the star of 6HL & 9HL Jupiter, placed in 8H, in the

star of Mars, again placed in 8H. There is an exchange of stars between Ju &

Ma.

 

Ju a benefic has given 7 AV points to 8H...?????

 

On the day of her death, Retro Sa in transit was over her natal Moon-LL in 7H,

and Sa is also her maraka 7HL. Also transit RKA was along 1/7 houses over her

LL.

so more so VRY shud work in ur favour. maybe after june 2010 when

Dear Neelam Ji,Its a wonderful case. Sanjay Gandhis kundli is also a case of Alp ayu. Both are DSS cases.Ayu khand is a difficult subject and must be approached with great caution. There are various factors which determine the age span or ayu khand. Condition of eighth house an eighth lord is one of those factors. Here eighth lord is in exaltation sign but it is retrograde. It is in ending degrees.Saturn is a marak planet for this lagna and is also second lord from Moon. In the birth chart Saturn is under the influence of two benefic planets Venus and Jupiter, but Venus is also a badhak for this lagna. Jupiter also carries afflictions.In navamsha, seventh amsha is rising. Saturn is highly afflicted with Sun and Mars without any benefic influence. In trimshamsha also Saturn

is with Mars in tenth house.Apart from this Shri K.N Rao insists on judging ayu based on condition of third and tenth house also. I have 12th lord in 8th ( Jup ) and read somewhere that i am also supposed to have illicit relations. There must be something.
