Guest guest
Dear friends, On combustion of Mercury there are diversant views. One sect considers that Mercury is normally so close to the Sun, so one must not consider it as Combust (Just as Retro rahu and ketu are considered as Direct, since they are retro always), while the other sect considers it as combust. 1) What do you consider ? 2) Does Mercury combust produce " mand buddhis " ? 3) What could be the effect of a combust and retro Mercury ? Anybody care to answer ? Please note that we must not get afraid that we may be wrong, for none is perfect in astrology and every day of Life even at age of 90, in astrology is a learning day. Unless one participates one cannot enjoy the pain and pleasure both. We must always participate in discussions so that others can learn , if not we. We may look stupid at asking questions or answering them, but this should not change our mission of developing astrology to great heights and a learning experience to all who are silent witnesses and members of this Forum. We have to look at horizons beyond and move out of our individual images. You can consider me as a example of this. I have never considered or cared for my image or any sort of image building. I talk nonsense many times, on women, etc, and enjoy cheap thrills too at cost of looking stupid or -un-astrologer like. But who cares? As long as I know how to cut hair, I will be known as a barber. I know I am skilled at my work. Thats what matters. Is it not ? So one must shed all fears of images, temporary fleeting reputations, and pretensions of looking good, and not speaking out of fear of writing something wrong. Do not do this. Bhool sabhi se hoti aayi. kaun hai jisne na thokar khaayi. Bhoolon se seekhe joh, manzil usne paayi. best wishes/bhaskar.

Guest guest
Dear Govind Rajan ji, Thank you for participating in the discussion. The more members we have doing so, the more enjoyable and filturing of knowledge occurs. At the moment I wish to remind you that we are not looking for definition of Combustion, rather we are looking for diversant views from members, what has been their experience and what do they feel of combustion for " Mercury " . Do you think actually combustion occurs in actual, if we consider the meaning of combustion as " being burnt " then it means that Mercury no longer works for the native and ceases to give positive results. Mercury or " Budh " relates to " Buddhi " , so my clear specific query I would now re-word as " Would a combust Mercury make a person a " Buddhu " (Unintelligent person) of sorts " ?. regards/Bhaskar. , " S Govind Rajan " <govindh2001 wrote: > > Dear Mr.Bhaskar jee,I am new to forum.Your advice in the last paragraph made me to attempt it.Mercury and Sun placed in one house as close as 1 degree apart - then it combust.I am not aware that how many minimum degree that will not make & nbsp;combust. It is not mercury, & nbsp;any planet with Sun with closer degree, that combust. The Jagannath Hora software can tell about if the planet is combust or not. Please correct if am wrong with proper support classics.warm regardsS.GovindRajanOn Sat, 05 Dec 2009 23:46:40 +0530 wrote & gt; > > > > & gt;Dear friends, & gt; & gt;On combustion of Mercury there are diversant views. Guest guest
Dear All, Let us not forget that Sun is the Naisargika Atma karaka, the Indicator of the Soul. So any planet he is influencing closely (combustion) that planets qualities will be prevalent in that individual. Whether the positive or negative attributes of that planet becomes prevalent is matter of closer scrutiny . It is common to find people strong in creative arts to have combust Venus, this might ofcourse bring challenges to relationships as well. Guest guest
Dear Neelam Ji,//SUN's lordship is an important factor in reading the results of combust planets//Based on your expert opinion about the captioned subject, I'd like to examplifya few cases for different ascendants -Pisces Ascendant : Such a deeply combust mercury for Pisces Ascendant gives marital discords and even divorce. As Lordship of Sun here goes to Sixth houseof disputes.A few Example Charts -==>>3 Jul 1977, 00:04 AM, Chandigarh (Male)==>>23 Oct 1975, 16:37, Vijayawada (Male)==>>30 Mar 1972, 6:50, Delhi (female)The common thing about above charts is -1.) Close combustion of Mercury (though not very deep in any of the cases) and hence close conjunction of 6th house of disputes with 7th house of Marriage,2.) Marital Discords, and3.) Finally Divorce Virgo Ascendant : Deep combust mercury gives weak health / skin disease as in this case Sun rules malefic 12th house and afflicts Ascendant Lord. Example Charts - 1.) 12 May 83, 14:40, DelhiNative is suffering with skin problem since many years2.) 29 apr 51, 16:00, Jullundhar, PunjabSkin problem case however not a serious one.Why - Mercury is not closely combust. Combust by 7 degrees.Best Regards,Deepak Sharmaneelam gupta <neelamgupta07 Sent: Sun, December 6, 2009 12:14:26 AMRe: Is Mercury to be considered as Combust ? Does anyone need to answer? :-)RegardsNeelam2009/12/5 Bhaskar <bhaskar_jyotish@ .co. in> Dear friends, On combustion of Mercury there are diversant views. One sect considers that Mercury is normally so close to the Sun, so one must not consider it as Combust (Just as Retro rahu and ketu are considered as Direct, since they are retro always), while the other sect considers it as combust. 1) What do you consider ? 2) Does Mercury combust produce "mand buddhis" ?
Guest guest
Namaste, I have 4 cases of Mercury combust and retro, where the native received electric shocks during sub-periods of Mercury, two of them in mental asylum (technically balanced people, with NO traces of any medical history) and other 2 persons, got electric shocks of their life......!! To say they are crowd pullers = overstatement. With regards, Sreeram_Srinivas
Guest guest
Dear Mr. Deepak Sharma ji, It is important to see condition of Mercury in marriage match making, for the youth of this generation are more promiscuous and more likely susceptible to AIDS. A weak Mercury can also lead to marital disputes or sadistic behavior, depending upon other planetary positions. Guest guest
Dear Deepak ji,That was nice. Nothing like learning through examples. Thanks and I am sure other members would find them useful too.Mercury is an impressionable planet. When conjunct with any planet, it tends to take on the shades of that planet. That is why in classics mercury’s nature is said to be dependent on its association. Mercury being the karak of VIVEK and VAANI, one can imagine what dire consequences would one suffer if this mercury falls in bad company. Also being Karak of skin, invariably skin problems and itches would be there under the influence of hot and dry sun. If Saturn also comes along, it can lead to severe long-ternm problems. With Mars, the damage is intense leading to wounds and ulcers on the skin. The sign placement of mercury often shows the area affected. One can even see short term transit infuences of sun over mercury leading to skin problems and eruptions.I also support Sreeeram ji’s observation of getting electric shocks if mercury is under the influence of Sun. One native got frozen shoulders for 2 years when Saturn was influencing his mercury in transit and when Sun was over this mercury, he was given electrical therapy for relief from pain. Another person received a severe electric jolt in a period of combust mercury. Some people also face a lot of nervous tension in such periods. Hope we can have more such examples from other members.RegardsNeelam
Guest guest
Dear Neelam Ji, Sreeram Ji and All, Most of you know Autism is very close to me (physically, mentally and spiritually). Mercury is the karaka for nerves. Affliction of Me is a tell tale sign of Neurological disorders as we all know. One interesting point I have noted is that Autistic children with combust Mercury also get Epilelpsy (Fits), especially when during teenage years. Epilepsy is essentially equivalent of a "Neurological Shock". Regards, -Manoj neelam gupta <neelamgupta07 Sent: Sat, December 5, 2009 10:28:19 PMRe: Is Mercury to be considered as Combust ? Guest guest
Electric shocks will only come if there is some connection of Mars or Rahu. Just because Sun and Mercury are conjoint , it does not bring in weight enough to cause electric shocks. We must not forget the basics of astrology. regards/Bhaskar.
