Just because a picture appears on the monitor of the mind, the ego does not have to submit as if the manifestation is real, it is just a proposal, and the intelligence is the acceptance or rejection. So the mind may well have prejudices and discriminate, like the fear of Arabs rampant in out present society. Our mind may produce a gender based superiority complex or religious elitism, or even a victim consciousness, but in a healthy state of being, the mand is brought under control by the intelligence, and all these mundane feelings will not affect the ego. Haribol. All "isms" spring forth from a basic misconception of actual identity. It is not a problem of a particular group (the very word group indicates a common tainted viewpoint based on false identification of the body (and mind) as the self), the problem is very widespread. Many folks of the civil; rights movements refuse to consider that black folks cannot be racists. Their reasoning is that they hold no power, therefore their prejudices are not holding others down as they are held down. Women are seen as lesser beings, and protection is misconstrued as a right to apply bondage of the worst infringement of basic human rights. Individuals come in both sexes. Every Vaisnava in male form must feel incompetant if the tears of their sister Vaisnavas touch the ground. Lonliness is not a problem, though, because we are never alone. As far as what the males were taught, many were taught evil, so these things must be rooted out. Association with women may be given up at 50 (or even sooner), but association with Vaisnavas should never be given up. War is a natural occurance, like earthquakes, weather, and other such things. War happens without cause, like a great forest fire occurs by the gentlest breeze. Our Vaisnava tradition and lore is a battlefield, and on both sides of this war are worshippable beings, like Bhisma and Yudhisthira, facing each other, but both considered authority on all religious science. Some say Duryodhana was a great demon, but he was intimate with Lord Balarama, as much as Arjuna was with Krsna. Balarama wanted to kill Arjuna for stealig away Subhadra, but renounced war to avoid facing Krsna. War is mean. War is scary. War produces only tears, and no one wins any war.
