  6. That's not right. As a religious leader and server to the community he should have at least helped her and not supress her from crossing fire.
  7. I am not disrespecting the way of worship in terms of offering murga and sacrificing animals. But I really have a bit difficulty understanding this way of worship. I do not understand how one could offer cigars and rum to a deity. Why offer things that we may not want for ourselves to the deities? Why do they accept these things? Are we in control of the deities or are they in control? Why sacrifice animals that symbolise the vehicles for deities like Bahuchara Mata and Meldi Mata? I am asking these questions especially on behalf of many who ask such to which I have no sure answers to. The only response I have to give is that this is a way to please the deities and it should be respected............. Help me understand this way a little more. Please!!!

  11. My friend crossed without manifestation, as well as others. Perhaps you are right it is not really a matter of choice but the will of the divine mother and the consequence of untruth.
  12. I'm not sure if this is the right forum category to post this thread. Anyways, I believe that you're refering to the idea of Golden Birthdays. I am not sure how Religions treats this idea. I think an individual just made up the idea and people just celebrate it.
  13. I felt left out indeed, but made sure I was in my own little safe zone. I agree. I don't like the arrangements made but after being restricted from using the river, I guess they did not have a choice. Did you witness the fire pass? One of my friends crossed fire pass, three times and did not get burn. That was cool.
  14. Actually yes I did, but not in garments. I went a day before. It was my first attempt to go back after such a long time.
  15. Thanks so much for your support and guidance pujarie five o
  16. Wow. Thanks so much for informing me about this.

  18. Inventing mantras? I really don't think that's right, but the reason I have asked if there were gayatri mantras for these devtas was because of overhearing gayatri mantras being chanted to these devtas during worship. On overhearing these gayatri mantras, it was easily recognised because the same four words were heard:'Vidmahe', 'Dhimahi', 'Tanno' and 'Prachodayat'. I guess they have indeed invented it. Long ago, these devtas were mostly worshipped along with only Maha Kala Bhairava and Maha Kali and maybe Durga Mata. But at present in many temples these devtas are worshipped with all the other devis and devtas like Vishnu, Saraswati, Rama, Krishna..........etc. There are so much mantras and bhajans for all these other devis and devtas and hardly any known ones for Muneshwaran and Sangili Karupan. I guess this is what drives some worshippers to invent mantras and bhajans to chant, so that these devtas can be equally invoked and worshipped under the same standards like others. But what disturbs me though is the invention of mantras. Some individuals attempt to use dravidian language, while others use hindi. I was taught that pronounciation and grammar structure should not be taken for granted pertaining to mantras. I am concerned. During the invention of these mantras, can't mistake occur? Wouldn't an individual who chant these mantras be affected in some way negatively, if mistakes in pronounciation and grammar structure exist?
  19. I understand; truth and honesty is a difficult trait to find in most leaders. I really wish that many who are responsible for teaching and guiding the youth could refrain from selfishness and just simply be genuine. Many of my friends are influenced by all sorts of corruption and I am on standby watching and listening, wondering if I should go back or turn my back. I can't correct the elders and if I don't do what I am told, I will be victimised. I want to return, because of my friends and in some cases sometimes I need the guidance in decision making from the devi/devta manifestations. I know how important fire pass is along with other aspects of Mother's worship but it's so disheartening to witness injustice and wrong doings and not say anything or do anything.
  20. Are there gayatri mantras for these devtas?
  21. I have witnessed many acquiring serious burns during fire pass. When I question the elders about why such had happened. The response: They have not fasted properly .Or those that manifest the divine and get burnt while crossing fire suffer such consequences because their bodies are used by divinity to take care of devotees and as such will be burnt in order to burn out all the negative things that is absorbed from healing devotees. Is this true?
