  2. Before my elders place the foods in their mouths they say 'krishna apranam'. I am not sure whether it is spelt correctly. By the way does anyone know what 'apranam' means.
  3. Sathya Sai is a Friend, Teacher and an Inspiration to many. He is Everything to his devotees. Even though there are questions of His existence, let's not be negative about it and bombard devotees or non devotees about mere speculations. Even though he is speculated to be a magician, one who may hurt kids or fake, lets just leave it and let it be. We are not wrong to question or disscuss but let it be of a positive nature and not of that to disrespect the beliefs of others. In other words, lets, Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. and Leave the rest to God.
  4. Shri Sathya Sai Baba is a fake and a possible sexual predator? :eek3: It is difficult for me to see why he is not what he presumes to be, but I guess you guys will know better especially for those that resides in India. Many Hindus in the Carribbean revere him as The Ultimate. In temples they place his image and perform puja to him. He usually is placed on the astans next to Shridi Baba, Saraswati and Gayatri Mata. Books of bhajans and collections of his discourses are treasured and used for Religious education and worship. I have even witnessed friends leaving other forms of worship, such as Shakti worship because they believe in his teachings. Can this be all true about Sai Baba?

  9. I Am Not Sure If It Is The Goddess Kamla You Speak Of. Goddess Kamla Is A Form Of Lakshmi And Is Represented Differently. But If What Is Written At The Bottom Of The Picture, Acknowledges Her As Tripursundari Maa, Then Perhaps She Is. Thanks So Much For All The Responses!
  10. Hello, Does anyone know who this devi is? Is she a form of Saraswati Mata? baalaa satisharigela, not sure.bmp
  11. Lol, Thanks For The Information, And Yes It Is Personal But Only At A Philosophical And Religious Stance. I Understand The Intervention Of Laws And Surgical Procedures To Prevent Abortion.........but There Must Be Some Sort Of Other Explanation For Such A Tragedy. I Know What Causes It, I Am Aware Of All The Things That Exist To Prevent Such A Circumstance, I Just Would Like To Know Why It Occurs. I Know Such Reasoning Exist In A Sort Of Theological Explanation,................... But We Will Never Know Everything, Now Would We?! Thanks Again
  12. Thanks so much for the responses, I am so confused by this dilemna of abortion and I am so very disgusted with crimes and all sorts of disgusting sexploitations. Why does all of this exist? My brain hurts and my heart hurts. No matter how much we question about our concerns, it all boils down to our perceptions..... And of all the millions and billions perceptions of others....which is the correct answer?
  13. Hey Bhairo Child, Hope You Are Okay. Thanks For The Input Concerning The Symbolic Tilac On The Forhead Of Bhairo. Do Take Care Now! Sitarama

  17. "Abortion is a very great sin", who have not heard that before. Please don't misinterpret my words, but I myself accept this act as a sin as well, but let's take a walk outside the box a little, shall we! Let's consider a scenario where a baby's life is aborted to save the mother's life, for socioeconomic reasons (financial problems, abusive spouse etc). Is the mother still committing a sin? Abortion is taking a life. That is what all of us say especially those of us who are religiously inclined. If I take a life of a person to save my life or the life of a loved one, is that a sin. (I would call this survival or a form of sacrifice.) A sin is an act or behaviour that one indulges himself, which totally goes against his/her religious laws. And yet our senses plunges us in to the depths of sin, most of the times unknowingly, at a daily basis. Honestly, I believe that we are all sinners, and there are many women that take abortions because of devastating situations, rather than through selfishness like others. Another reason for some young women (especially teenagers) to abort babies, is due to the influence of the karmas of their ancestors, rather than the karmas of their past lives. What do you think? Bear with me, I am merely acquiring data for my research. Thank you for your responses!
  18. Why are there so many young women, especially teenagers aborting babies? Why are so many unborn babies being deprived of life in this material world? What spiritual consequences do women face for aborting babies?
  19. What Spiritual Consequences Does Women Have To Face By Aborting Babies?
  20. MOUNTAIN WARRIOR, i am attempting to help you understand, however do not accept my words as an official answer, for it is always better to take into consideration the varied perception of others, pertaining to an issue or inquiry. As for your first question concerning Murugan, it is evident that there are temples in the West Indies that entertain Murugan in Shakti Temples. Some devotees however, may be bewildered by acknowledging him as Murugan, since some know him as Subramunyam or Kartikea. I suspect that perhaps you must have had some experiences with Guyanese worshippers, for I myself have realised, as far as my research has lead me, is that some, (maybe all, maybe few) Shakti Temples in Guyana do not entertain or worship Murugan, or are totally unaware of his significance. Nonetheless, I guess it all depends on the head pujarie/pujarin and his/her beliefs and way of worship. CONCERNING THE ARTIST'S PERCEPTION OF SYMBOLISING MAHA KALA BHAIRAVA, IT IS NOT AT ALL AN OVERSIGHT, ...VISUAL ARTS OF A DEVTA/DEVI IN ITSELF IS AN EXPRESSION OR A VISION OF THE ARTIST HIMSELF.....IT IS HOW HE PERCEIVES KALA BHAIRAVA, NO MATTER IF HE IS A FORM OF SHIVA AND NOT LORD VISHNU, FOR ALL OF THEM ARE ONE. OBSERVE DATATREYA DEVTA (THREE HEADED DEVTA)........LOOK AT A PICT OF HIM......HE IS USUALLY SURROUNDED BY DOGS....NOT SO? AND SO IS KAL BHAIRAVA.... YOU MUST UNDERSTAND, BECAUSE HUMANS PORTRAY THE DEVTAS DIFFERENTLY IN PAINTINGS AND SCULPTURES DOES NOT MEAN IT IS WRONG, IT IS JUST THEIR CULTURE, THEIR TRADITION, THEIR BELIEFS...... AND THEN AGAIN YOU SHOULD CONSIDER THE MANY SECTS OF HINDUISM AND REALISE HOW DIFFERRENT THEIR PERCEPTIONS OF THE SCRIPTURES, GODS AND GODDESSES ARE! Hope this helps! SitaRama................................

  22. What is Real Love?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:" /><o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> To want another to be happy, truly happy, with or without you...is real love. To trust another's love and not need to have it out of some control...is real love. To truly trust a partner, without needing to know of their comings and goings...is real love. To love because of want instead of need...is real love. <o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> For a relationship to be based in any control situation, whether physical or emotional or mental...is not real love. To have someone stay with you out of guilt, pity or fear... is not real love. To have someone with you because it makes YOU feel good...is not real love. To be with someone because it makes THEM feel good...<o:p></o:p> is not real love. If love MUST have a promise or guarantee of tomorrow, it is not real love. <o:p></o:p> Love is the giving of one's self to make another happy, the joy of sharing the NOW. We can't force love to give or to be given. Love is nature at work. Philosophically, we live in a non-verbal world, and yet we make it so hard in our lives because of our need to have words and meanings to everything. Life has no meaning beyond itself, love has no meaning beyond itself, and the need to label and define these things is the element that destroys the "nature" of it. For a couple to be together out of want is the ideal. What if couples, EACH and EVERY morning had to renew their vows, make a TRUTHFUL decision BEFORE the day began to remain together, a TRULY free choice. In life, we SHOULD examine our situations in this light and act accordingly because people who become unhappy with one another can have it turn into a very destructive force in a short time if they but "pretend" and go through "role-playing" in their relationships. Being honest and truthful with yourself is where LOVE begins. Most can't do that, and they remain in situations involving another; thus, we have TWO lives being controlled in dishonesty. Is it any wonder, from this point, why people resort to denial and escapism to get through their day? <o:p></o:p> Are people living a lie, happy with themselves, and how can they give happiness to another? What do we expect from ourselves? What do others expect from us? Is a bad relationship BETTER than being alone? Should people who are unable to communicate stay together? Do two wrongs make a right? Do two negatives make a positive? And yet, the word SELFISH will enter strongly into this subject. <o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> If you stay in a relationship because YOU are AFRAID to leave, for ANY reason, it is selfish. Staying for LESS than the right reason, if you stay in a relationship because you feel sorry, out of guilt, out of pity, you are being CONTROLLED and allowing someone to be selfish about YOUR life. <o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> To accept and trust each and every person until they give you a reason not to...is real love. To want to help others to be happy...is real love. To give others your love and your time and your energy...<o:p></o:p> is real love. <o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> REAL love, is not something said, but it is what is done. To reach out and touch...is real love. To care about someone and talk to them...is real love. To offer your friendship and to be there for someone... <o:p>To be at peace within yourself... is real love. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> <o:p> </o:p> <o:p> </o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Jai Shri <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on">Krishna</st1:place>!...... <o:p></o:p> Jai Shri Radha!.......<o:p></o:p> </o:p> <?xml:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /><v:shapetype id=_x0000_t75 stroked="f" filled="f" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" o:preferrelative="t" o:spt="75" coordsize="21600,21600"><v:stroke joinstyle="miter"></v:stroke><v:formulas><v:f eqn="if lineDrawn pixelLineWidth 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 1 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum 0 0 @1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @2 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 0 1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @6 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @8 21600 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @10 21600 0"></v:f></v:formulas><v:path o:connecttype="rect" gradientshapeok="t" o:extrusionok="f"></v:path><o:lock aspectratio="t" v:ext="edit"></o:lock></v:shapetype><v:shape id=_x0000_s1026 style="MARGIN-TOP: 28.7pt; Z-INDEX: -1; MARGIN-LEFT: 318.15pt; WIDTH: 93.3pt; POSITION: absolute; HEIGHT: 2in" wrapcoords="-309 0 -309 21400 21600 21400 21600 0 -309 0" type="#_x0000_t75"><v:imagedata o:title="radha_krishna_on_the_throne" src="file:///C:\DOCUME~1\V7F5A~1.BEH\LOCALS~1\Temp\msohtml1\01\clip_image001.jpg"></v:imagedata>ffice:word" />is real love</B>. 23. I truly believe that he has attempted to mix in folklore, but I do however commend him on his attempts and most of all I am grateful that you are trying to help me understand. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:" /><o:p></o:p> I have attached a picture that I have of Muneshwaran; you may not see it clearly. I believe that you may have seen it before. His left palm has a star shape and his right palm has a crescent moon shape. <o:p></o:p> Now in this picture, he has two hands, whereas a first murti that I ever saw of him had four hands: <o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> He is holding- A triangle in his left front hand A sword in the right front hand A circular shaped disc, maybe a shield of some sort, in the back right hand and the crescent moon in the back left hand <o:p></o:p> I also met up with this in a website:<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> Lord Sri Muneeswarar may be quite unknown to many but he is a powerful God and has an interesting origin. <o:p></o:p> Long before our time, in ancient ffice:smarttags" /><?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<st1:place w:st="on">India</st1:place></st1:country-region> lived King Thakshar who was Lord Siva's father in law. One fine day, he decided to perform a special pooja called the Achvametha Yagam. Unfortunately he did not invite Lord Siva to the Yagam. Brahma, Vishnu, Indra, the Thevars and Maha Rishis strongly requested that Lord Siva be invited but King Thakshar was indeed stubborn. He flatly refused. <o:p></o:p> He continued to conduct the Yagam without giving Lord Sivca his share of the Avir. Lord Siva's anger was apparent. King Thakshar was cursed by Nandhithevar, who sits at the base of Lord Siva's idol , and Sivanintahi resulted. The Yagam did not end. Lord Siva's anger exploded. Frightful Veeera Pathirar, Lord Siva's guard, appeared angrily from the Yagam.<o:p></o:p> And from the Lord Siva's face came Sri Muneeswarar who took seven incarnations - Sivamuni, Mahamuni, Thavamuni, Naathamuni, Jadamuni, Tharammamuni and Vaazhamuni. This he did to protect the souls. <o:p></o:p> Ø As he appeared from Lord Siva's face. He assumed SIVAMUNI. <o:p></o:p> Ø Possessing immeasurable divine power he became Mahamuni. <o:p></o:p> Ø Thavamuni removed all obstacles in the path of the Thevars and Rishis during their Yagam. <o:p></o:p> Ø Naathamuni offered blessings to the Devagananga and Poothaganga. <o:p></o:p> Ø Jadamuni grew the trees and possessed the Ruthrkshamala Kaatgar and the book. <o:p></o:p> Ø Tharmamuni protected the good and destroyed evil. <o:p></o:p> Ø Vaazhamuni is praised by the Kabalis who live in the jungle.<o:p></o:p> In so assuming the different incarnations, Lord Sri Muneeswarar has showered his blessings on His devotees. Sivasakthi is Knowledge. In praying to Lord Muneeswarar, devotees may achieve bliss and good health in life. Does this extract prove the origination of Muneeshwaran? <o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> Perhaps all the different representations of Muneeswaran's pictures and of murtis are really his many incarnations? <o:p></o:p> And it should be spelt M-U-N-E-E-S-H-W-A-R-A-N, not so? <o:p></o:p> And what does his name mean? Do you know? <o:p></o:p> I really do not understand, if the Shakti off Muneshwaran or any devi or devta, manifests upon someone and they worship them wrongly and call them the wrong names, why doesn’t the Shakti correct them immediately. <o:p></o:p> Is it because of the strength of an innocent devotee’s faith, trust, and love in gods and goddesses that it really does not matter how you call on to them by name, as long as your heart is pure and innocent? <o:p></o:p> I have seen how faith, trust, and love are ever so powerful, more powerful than knowledge itself. <o:p></o:p> Then again, we cannot trust, love or have faith without knowing someone or something………or can we?? :crazy2: <o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p>
