  1. Orthodox Christians Protest Hare Krishna Temple http://www.mosnews.com/news/2004/03/22/krishna.shtml
  2. In 1857, British General Lord Canning gave orders for the British to mix crushed cow and pig bones into the salt, butter and sugar rations of his Indian troops. In addition the British greased Enfield rifle cartridges with cow and pig fat. After some time, it was discovered by the troops that the rations they had consumed and the mouth-loaded cartridges had been contaminated with animal fats. This led many devout Hindu and Muslim to believe they were no longer pious members of their respective religions and so many were forced to convert. This outrage led to a massive war-like rebellion by the Hindu and Muslim troops which was eventually quelled by British.
  3. Floating Idols – In rural villages in India, Missionaries and place a stone or metal idol of a Hindu Deity in bring a bucket of water. The statue will sink in the bucket. Next the Missionary bring a wax-coated idol of Jesus or Virgin Mary (though Christianity prohibits idols) and places that in the bucket. Due the wax-coat, the Christian idol will float. The Missionary will then conclude that because the Christian idol floated, it is “higher” and, therefore, better than the Hindu one. The uneducated villager, not knowing anything about buoyancy or density, falls for the Missionary’s ridiculous explanation and converts to Christianity.

  5. During his meetings with the Christian missionaries, Mahatma Gandhi had said that they are doing social service with the ulterior motive of conversions. He asked them to give up this offensive program. He also said to them that if this situation continued in a free India he would ask the foreign missionaries to leave the country.
  6. Christian Preaching in Bhadrachalam Sri Rama Temple Posted May 23, 2006 EEnadu, May 24, 2006 (Largest circulated Telugu Daily in Andhra Pradesh) On Sunday night (May 21,2006) there were an unprecedented rush due to Hanumath Jayanthi. At the same time some missionaries entered the temple and pasted wall posters making devotees angry. Some members of an organization called 'Vikasa Tarangini' immediately reported to the Board Chairman who in turn filed a police case. According to the law other religious activity cannot take place within 200 yards (600 ft) from a religious place. In India Christian missionaries rarely have regard for any law and they are emboldened after their fellow evangelist Mr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy became Chief Minister of the state.
  7. It appears we have a fire and brimstone Christian on board. Don't worry about me though! I have already been bored again. Leave us devil Krishna's to our own ways.
  8. Jesus stressed bread as the best food. He said we should pray for bread - not fish! "Give us this day our daily bread."
  9. Jesus quoted Moses saying that and affired the same thing. Read your Bible. Jesus did say that. As a matter of fact Jesus took the "though shalt not kill" concept to an even higher level. From the Sermon on the Mount: "Ye have heard that it was said to them of old time, "thou shalt not kill, and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of judgment". But I say unto you that whosoever is angry with his brother shall be in danger of judgment"
  10. I thought this section of the forum was for spiritual discussions? Why are these followers of Narayana Maharaja using it as an announcement board for promoting Narayana Maharaja? These announcement topics should be posted in the appropriate section of the forum.
  11. oh well, eating fish is not the worst thing a christian can do. Eating cows is the real sin of Christianity. If Christians stopped eating cows and only ate fish, they would be making some remarkable progress. Visit a slaughter house and see the reality of meat eating. Then maybe you will think twice about justifying animal killing on the claims of following Jesus. Vaishnavas don't even like to hurt an ant.
  12. The post-resurrection stories are seen by most scholars as late additions to the Gospels, intended to settle a historical schism in the Church regarding whether Jesus rose bodily. The inclusion of fish consumption, which occurs only in the Gospels of Luke and John (the last two written), would bolster the idea of Jesus rising bodily, showing that he must and can fulfill his need for food. Interestingly, the post-resurrection stories include the one aspect of Jesus' life that almost all scholars consider dubious, Jesus' statement that "these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover." Few Christians believe they can consume poison or should play with poisonous snakes.
  13. Jesus said "though shalt not kill". If he condoned the killing of fish, then that would make him a hypocrit. Was Jesus a hypocrit? Only God can give life. Only God should take it away. Fish have life.

  15. they gave him fish and honeycomb. It does not say he ate the fish. It says he took the fish and ate before them. It does not say he actually ate the fish they offered him. It says he took the fish. It does not say he ate the fish. Maybe he ate the honeycomb and left the nasty fish.
  16. Clue: I have read the Bible many times. There is no statement anywhere in the Bible that states definitively that Jesus ate fish. Please show me any verse in the Bible that says that Jesus ATE FISH.
  17. Still, you haved not shown me anywhere in the Bible that it specifically says that Jesus ate the fish. Clue: There is nothing in the Bible that can prove that Jesus at fish.
  18. Many Christians I have met have said that Krishna is the devil. They say the Hare Krishna's are a cult of devil worshippers. Wonder why the Hare Krishna's are not very sentimental about the Christian cult?
  19. Hare Krishna's are very sectarian. They belong to the sect of the absolute God, as opposed to the sect of some creator god that helped create the material illusion we all think to be reality. Everybody belongs to some sect. Don't accuse the Vaishnavas becuase they have their own sect. The absolute religion is a sect in comparison to the many sects of god worshippers in the world. Join the sect of God and abandon the sect of the gods. That is the message of Lord Krishna.
  20. Please show me any evidence from Christian shastra that directly says that Jesus ATE fish. Jesus never ate fish. jesus broke bread with is disciples. How can a preacher who says "though shalt not kill" then turn around an kill fishies from the Sea?
  21. "Completely rejecting all religious activities which are materially motivated, this Bhagavata Purana propounds the highest truth" The Bhagavat religion completey rejects all religious activities that are materially motivated. Vaishnavism completely rejects all religions that are materially motivated. It is not devotees that reject these things - it is the shastra that rejects these material religions that have been manufactured in the minds of man.
  22. Well, then wasn't Krishna's inspired battle of Kurukshetra a "tamo-based" war because Krishna said that if they don't accept and respect my devotee Emporer, then I will will cause 60,000,000 warriors to die in battle to establish a devotee on the throne of an Empire that was otherwise going on quite nicely? Dhritarashtra was nicely implementing the Varnashrama society, yet Krishna was responsible for killing 60,000,000 warriors to dethrone him and put Maharaja Yudhisthira on the throne because Yudhisthira was an advocate of Krishna-bhakti? If rejecting everything except suddha-bhakti is "tamo-guna" then all the Vaishnava acharyas were in ignorance. Call them fanatics if you like. Krishna ordered 60,000,000 Vedic Kshatriyas slaughtered in favor of the bhakti cult.
  23. I'm no saint, but I hope I never get that bad.
  24. It appears that most modern Christians could actually be awarded for philanthropy and humanism. I admire their charity work and being concerned for starving people and orphans. In some ways, I think the Christians are more compassionate and mature that a lot of devotees. Christians do a lot of good philanthropic work. Unfortunately, all this philanthropy and charity is just a tool they use to get into a culture of peoples and indoctrinate them into a bigoted religious cult that does not respect other religions such as Hinduism. Along with the food program comes the preaching of bigotry and fanaticism of the Jesus cult we call Christianity.
  25. Sometimes, I wonder who or what the god of the Bible really was. Generally, we think that God is the creator God of the Bible. But, there are powerful beings in the universe that could easily be confused with God in the eyes of the ignorant. For example, we generally think that God created all things and all beings in the universe. Sometimes devotees think that Lord Brahma is the creator God. Sometimes devotees think that Lord Siva is the progenitor of the living entities in the universe. What we don't understand most often is that humankind and most other beings and life forms were actually created by powerful prajapatis. Sukadeva Goswami instructed Maharaja Pariksit to listen carefully as he explained how Prajapati Daksha created the living beings and life forms in this universe. So, the point is that there have been powerful beings in the history of the world that could appear to be God to the ignorant. Why should we accept religions that worship some creator God to be a genuine religion of love of the supreme, absolute, transcendental God? Vaishnavism is about love and worship of the absolute God. Vaishnavism is not about worship of a tribal god who spoke an oracle from the sky and gave some tribe in the middle east some tract of land to claim as their own. Vaishnavism is about love and worship of the absolute God. It's not some tribal religion that worships some creator god who is being passed off as God,.
