I read the Egyptian Book of the Dead a year ago and see no connection. Don't get me wrong I'm not disrespecting your theory or anything, you might see the connection but I don't. In fact, Osiris and Isis actually sound like they were deified, almost like they were mortals at one time.

Which tells me that the Christian Satan doesn't exist since he's fabricated, but Lord Shiva does so therefore he's not Satan. And actually I see little connection of the Egyptian gods and Hindu gods.

One of my attractions to Hinduism was Vishnu, perhaps it's a certain image of God she's attracted to. The main reason for my attraction was the spirituality.

Yeah, I think anyone who basically follows the Vedic tradition pretty much calls themselves "Hindus" but I prefer Vaishnava

Well of course devotion, studies, and practices matters. Not merely that you weren't born an Indian. I feel no connection to Christianity whatsoever, I feel a very,very strong connection with the Vedic tradition and even with Lord Vishnu himself. It shouldn't depend on your race but on what is right for you. I would be stranger in India, you're right, but I could care less as long as I am connected with Lord Vishnu.

Like I said above: I researched it and liked it therefore I realized it was the right religion for me. Or if I were to be more correct the Vedic religion. I don't think I should go back to Christianity because I'm caucasian, I'm staying Hindu because it is right for me.See? In fact I was miserable as a Christian.

For me I basically researched the religion. When I decided it was the right religion for me I called myself a Hindu, since there are no temples where I live to go to a priest and express my feelings on the religion. I am still learning but I have no plans on going back to Chrisitanity. Hinduism is more for me than any other religion. Even Lord Vishnu gave me a sign in a dream that I chose the right religion for myself.

The Jewish Satan and the Christian Satan are two completely different beings. The Jewish Satan is nothing more than a trickster and he hate humans not God. The Christian Satan is the most evil being you'll ever want to meet, he rules hell, and he uses his time manipulating people into doing bad things. I do not believe in Satan, people are responsible for evil. And God cannot be Satan. And Pan is actually Roman if I'm not mistakened. The name Lucifer for instance actually means " light-bearer" and is associated with Venus, hence " the morning star". So I guess if you tan out in the sun you're going to hell because Lucifer refers to the sun and light in general. Satan was used to scare people into converting which is still being used today but doesn't work as well.

Yeah I agree with aashish on this one, where did that comment on Krishna come from? Did it really have anything to do with Shiva, sounds like you have some personal problems.

Then why is " it's all the same God" preached throughout Hindusim It's not like the guy is going to burst into flames because he looked at Shiva.

Actually there is more than enough evidence for reincarnation it's just constantly dismissed just like the earth being flat would have been dismissed or heretical 1,000 years ago.

It's all the same God, and he is not a jealous God contrary to the belief of some religions.

Well, I personally think life would have had to come from space. More than likely there was life on Mars too, and it might've had an advanced race on there too, look at the Cydonia region....it looks like a city.

Krist- my best friend is Celtic pagan because it's a family tradition his grandmother taught him what he knows, paganism is still very much alive. Do some research before you talk. No, logically, if God is Supreme then there is no Satan to oppose him. That is how he cannot exist, why would a loving and caring God create Satan.

I guess if you weren't careful they could. You know how people like to mess around with Ouija boards and have seances. Well, the thing is, it draws in uninvited guests you might say. There have been several times my friends had wished they hadn't messed with that Ouija board.

Human civilization is probably older than scientists think also, with the underwater sites being discovered and all that. They now suspect humans are 2 million years old, could we be any older? Scientists calculate the age of the universe and the earth to fit the model of human evolution, they don't actually know.

Again I've noticed if the demon is possessing a Christian, he will say he's Satan. In other religions this is not so. Did you know that the name Lucifer is originally not Jewish nor Christian?
